I care for an elderly parent, and they often need to summon me from another room. It’s handy to be able to talk to them and find out what they want/need.
Bought for an elderly neighbour who had problems getting to the door before the caller left now with the door intercom she can speak to them and filter the callers. Would recommend for anyone with mobility issues or a distance from their front doors, very easy to fit and install
Surprisingly easy to set up using the instructions provided in the leaflet. When all three devices are plugged in you can link them – in my case I wanted my garage and shed to have intercoms in so firstly I set one outdoor bell to A and linked to the main received by pressing the talk button. When they beep they are linked. Then I took the 2nd outdoor bell device and turned the side button to B and repeated the process. Now all I need to do is turn to A or B on the main indoor bell and press TALK. Inter one A will ring. Turn to B and the other bell will ring. Perfect, now wherever my husband is I can contact him and not get soaked walking to the end of our long garden! Good sound excellent actually and they don’t feel like they will break easily, nice big buttons, lightweight and don’t take up much space. I keep the main unit plugged in in the kitchen. It is waterproof so meant for outside but works well as we use it. Very happy cheers
his item comes in more handy as an intercom than a doorbell. yes it is fitted as a doorbell with a whoile host of different tones. but, to me that isn’t the primary use.
the intercom, is the star of the show on this. it allows for easy two way communication, without the need rushing to try and get to the door. this makes it perfect for the elderly or disabled.
the installation is really easy, just pop it onto a wall or the doorframe. it comes with fittings. we have a upvc front door and i used double sided foam pads to fit it so as not to damage the door. these have held fast.
it may not come with the whistles and bells of its competitors, but it does what it needs to really well.
so far the external unit has only had one charge, and has been on the go for about eight weeks. the internal unit needs charging a little more regularly.
i haven’t tested the range, as we only live in a small house, but it works really well in all rooms.

It’s simple to use and the sound quality is excellent. It means they don’t have to worry anymore who’s at the door. Really good way of improving home security as they no longer have to open the door to speak to who’s there.
Got this for my mum who does not have Wi-Fi so the well known brand is no use or her. This was perfect. Easy to set up and she can’t talk to whoever is at the door without having to rush to the door.

Not great for home rings, but great for disabled people or office doorbells. I got this for my aunt who have disabled. So she can carry the ringing part about the house and someone can keep the other part beside and if need assistance she can just ring the doorbell. With the 30 second voice time can hear if she has breathing that she has trouble with or if she just want a cup of tea.Solidly built sturdy enough to last for years.
I got this doorbell for the simple reason you can talk via it. My mum is very ill and spends a lot of time in bed or in her room. This has been a great asset as she can tell me what she needs without me going to her room then backout again to get what she needs. Its very good quality, you get a clear voice and you can turn it up or down. It has a good range to pick up the signal too, powered via a built in battery that can be recharged. Its simple to set up, not complicated at all. It’s an ideal doorbell for the elderly or infirm, they can tell the visitor to wait as they need time to get to the door (for safety please don’t tell anyone to just come in) Giving them time to get to the door to check who it is, nothing worse than getting to the door and the person has left. Its priced at 55.90 a bit pricey but a great asset to your home.
Professional installation at 90 must be a typo, not even a odd job man wold dream of charging more than 10 for 2 screws and approx 5 mins labour, this is why i knocked 1 star off.
Great idea for anyone not just the elderly, nothing worse than hearing the door bell go and by the time youve reached the door only to see the post man driving off.
Very clear audio either way, easy depression of these is easy so even if you have arthritic fingers you won’t struggle to depress the button.
You won’t not hear the chime of this and with so many chimes available you are spoilt for choice.
The outside doorbell has withstood freezing temperatures, high winds and torrential rain and still work with great clarity.
Installation is either stick on for the outside doorbell or supply your own 2 screws , few minutes then it’s secure, I just used the glue backed edge and after 4 weeks it’s still in place outside on my front door.
Mum been using this as she lives in a town house , she can use intercom to talk and leave instructions instead of falling down stairs rushing
This intercom doorbell is useful if you can’t always get to the door quickly as it enables you to talk to the person ringing the bell as you start to make your way there. It is easy to set up with clear instructions. Useful for many and good value too.
