Add a few drops onto your hands, rub together then over your face: Inhale, and you’ll find the scent is luxurious. The oil soaks right into the skin without leaving an oily residue. I am of middle age, with normal skin and find the oil leaves it feeling moisturised, taking away any of the tightness I get particularly when I’ve been outside in inclement weather. Would highly recommend.
This oil leaves my skin feeling really smooth. Can apply both liquid foundation and powder over the top without leaving an oily residue on my sponges and brushes. Really need this over winter.
My face and nose were very dry, just putting face cream itself was not enough for the cracks. But this oil immediately improved the condition, my face is very smooth now, highly recommend.
Lovely oil. Feels lovely only started to use it so will see what happens.
Easy to use facial oil, put in on under moisturiser.
Keeps your skin supple, non greasy, glides on.
I am 52 but look much younger and I’m sure it’s from using Elemis products.
You get what you pay for, I love this.
One of my favorite ski car products. I just capo the be without this. It keeps my skin soft and hydrated.
Bought for my wife. Loves it great value for money loves Elemis product range
I really like this oil, it feels gorgeous on the skin and smells wonderful. I use it day and night and has definitely made i difference to my skin. I have dry skin which had received recently gotten quite red but using this everyday has resulted in this redness vanishing completely.
My wife is an avid user of Elemis products, I can see I will be ordering more on a continuous basis.
The product is exactly what I ordered and it was delivered in record time. Thanks
Love this product. It makes my skin feel and look so much better. As a 68 year old that’s quite important as skin does dry out terribly as you get older.
I’ve just ordered a replacement for a bottle I bought at a spa I visited over a year ago. It was a treat for getting through some very hard times in the last few years, I don’t usually spend this much on a facial product. I started off by using it very occasionally at night and have used it more regularly lately. It is a thin oil that is easily spread over the face and is quickly absorbed into the skin. One reviewer hadn’t expected the oil to be so runny and I understand that but after the first couple of goes you get used to it and using the dropper means both no contamination and exact amounts. According to some info I found online, 1ml = 12 drops, so 10 ml = 120 drops and 15ml = 180. That’s over 40 applications if you use 4 drops each time! I have noticed that my skin is at its best when I use the oil every night but I am going to have to make it last a bit longer than a couple of months – not that I think the price is unreasonable, I’m just thinking of my budget. The oil makes my skin feel beautifully soft and plumptious! I don’t need a night cream using the oil and I can really feel the difference when I wake up. Brilliant product.
This is definitely a genuine Elemis pro collagen marine oil. I’ve purchased directly from Elemis before and this is exactly the same.
I purchased this as I wanted to try the oil from Elemis after being a faithful user of the Kiehl’s Midnight Oil. It smells exactly the same so I’m guessing it’s the same ingredients with marine collagen. It’s more expensive than Kiehl’s but it’s doing the job I need and little is going a long way.
Delightful facial oil, which smells of proper rose petals, not the artificial rose smell in a lot of products.
The oil is light and soaks in beautifully. A luxurious treat.
Pros
There is actually a very nice rosey smell to it.
I can smell it from the bottle and I only applied one drop onto the skin and it soaks in immediately, I honestly can smell the roses scent even though I only applied one Tiny drop.
Lovely glass bottle, easy to squeeze.
Honestly, the scent is very outstanding and noticeable, only one drop and I can still smell it
Non greasy, no residue.
Cons
Honestly, too expensive.
Only 15ml!
Always a winner Elemis .. love this oil as is a kind of oil not oil as leave the skin clean , silk , bright and not grease at all . I have normal/dry skin so I find it good for my skin. I use it before day cream and night cream
Elemis is one of my favourite skincare brands and this facial oil is probably my favourite product. It is a brilliant concentrated oil that leaves my dry skin feeling great. You only need a couple of drops (there is a dropper to measure out the quantity). If you haven’t used oils on your face – don’t worry, the oil is absorbed quickly but leaves skin soft and hydrated rather than greasy. I only use it at night – I find the gentle aromatherapy scent helps me to nod off!
I’m a big fan of Elemis products, as they always deliver as far as I’m concerned. This is no exception. I’m not a great make-up wearer, but I do care about what I put on my skin – I have combination skin with a tendency towards oily, so it always seemed a bit odd that the recommendation was to use oil to moisturise! However, just 3 or 4 drops of this heavenly scented, delicate oil soaks in beautifully. My skin feels soft but not at all greasy – with my usual tinted moisturiser on top, this is just perfect. Even if I don’t get round to using serums or special washes, etc. this is definitely part of my ‘not to be missed’ daily routine.
The Elemis facial oil leaves my skin feeling fresh and moisturised all day. Usually, I have combination skin that is either greasy or ‘crumbling’, more often just the latter in winter. Even though the bottle seems quite small, just a few drops on my fingertips from the easy to use dripper is enough to smooth over my face when I get out of the shower, not allowing time for it to dry out.
I’ve been using various Elemis and Decleor products for a few years now, and regularly receive compliments about my skin, so I it must be doing something!
I don’t imagine that any user really thinks that this is going to make them look any younger and I can confirm that it makes no more difference than any other ,moisturiser that I have used (which is still better than using none at all).
The product looks very good. It is sleek and expensive looking and the oil is applied to the skin with a dropper. I have to say that I needed more on each application than they recommend (maybe I have more crevasses to fill !). I placed it on my hands and then applied to the skin. It smells flowery but not for very long. When applied it leaves the skin feeling oily for a while but it does evaporate in about an hour – this may be a problem if you wish to apply make up. I liked the feeling but it is very much a matter of preference.
I have no ill effects after application but I don’t tend to be very sensitive to toiletries.
I haven’t had a lot of good luck with Elemis products so far, but the Elemis Pro-Definition facial oil have been a revelation. Having recently turned 40, I have always been conscientious in regards to looking after my facial skin. Yes of course I am vein, but using the better products does yield better results. I recently threw a 40th birthday party and I received many emails in disbelief that I have hit the big four zero.
Not all of this is down to the facial oil, but I have used it for the last 3 months morning and night and the wrinkles around my eyes have all but disappeared. As well as maintaining your youthful looks the oil leaves your skin hydrated and feeling absolutely wonderful.
I highly recommend this product, although I was slightly put off at first by the product being listed for mature skin, which gave me the impression the product was more suitable for those of more senior advanced in years than myself but don’t let that put you off..
This facial oil by Elemis says it is targeted at Mature Skin, so I’m probably rather on the young side, although anti-ageing skin care now starts when you hit your twenties….
My skin type is combination normal/oily but with a perverse tenancy to dehydration!
The recommendation is for 3-4 drops per use and some other reviewers have said they needed to use more. Again, being perverse, I’ve found that 1-2 drops is adequate for me – we all need to find our own ideal level. Putting oil onto rather oil skin does seem counter-intuitive, but I have tried other facial oils and if you get the right product in the right quantity, it’s absolutely fine.
This product has a pipette dropper so you get the right amount dispensed. The oil absorbs easily and has a pleasant smell. My skin has been feeling hydrated all day after using this, so I’m very happy with this product.
It is pricey – recommended retail price is over 60. However, as you only need a very little, even if you are using the recommended 3-4 drops per use, this will last you for ages.
This is the best my wife has tried so it looks like I will have to buy some for here in future.
It is an unusual in that there is what looks like an eye drop dispenser with a squeezy top that sticks out of the top which has no cover which is a bit unusual.
A little goes a very, very long way so although expensive it is not that expensive per application.
It absorbs very easily and it is non greasy
This facial oil looks like the luxury product it is; the gold to clear ombr bottle showcasing the golden oil within. OK the massive white teat on the bottle is a little off putting, but it allows for a fairly good control when applying just the 3-4 drops recommended. I find myself applying a little more than this; a drop each to the light lines by my eyes and also massaging this below the eye, 1 drop to my forehead, 1 to my lower face and 1 to my neck as I find this amount provides plenty of nourishment to my problem areas. I’m prone to dryness and irritation and without moisturising heavily at night, I can wake the next morning with noticeable flaky dry patches. After using this oil for over a week now twice daily I’ve not had any skin irritation or dryness. I should also add there is still plenty of oil left. As stated, I use just slightly over the recommended dose twice per day and I would estimate that this 15ml will last me another couple of months judging by how much I’ve used so far.
The end of the pipette is angled which I think may be designed to allow for more precise application, but I thought it a little awkward. As I have to take my glasses off to apply this product, I couldn’t tell if I had it positioned the way I wanted at times. That small gripe aside, this is facial oil has a light pleasant floral smell and a rich deep texture that massages easily into your skin. After using this oil my dry skin is left feeling hydrated and nourished with no noticeable blemishes.
This Elemis Pro-Defination Facial Oil is absolutely brilliant! I’ve been using it for a few days now. And I have noticed the wrinkles soften. My skin is very hydrated and looks dewy and youthful again. I combine it with the day and night dream.
This redefining face oil, using Raspberry plant stem cell technology and Himalayan Gentian extract, is proven to nourish and even the skin tone. Omega-rich Evening Primrose and organic Barbary Fig oil, high in essential fatty acids, support the skin’s lipid barrier to help lock in moisture for all day hydration, leaving skin feeling regenerated and resilient. Fine lines appear reduced and skin appears toned.
Long term I can’t say if it will work. However it’s a light lingering scent, and mercifully comes with a dropper. My neck is starting to get that scraggy middle aged look and it did seem to perk up the skin a little. Hope it’s not wishful thinking, but it may actually be working after a few applications
