I am expressing to bottle feed my premature baby. Having tried other pumps this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Painless and very little drips. Also quiet and fits into nursing bras brilliantly. Don’t waste time with others
Have even expressed whilst in the car.

Trs bon service aprs vente.

Love this product, it’s a game changer for people who need to be hands free in or out of the home. Has great suction, and allows for good collection. Sometimes bending over does allow for milk spillage and the box only comes with one spare milk collection bottle and two differently sized breast shields( only one is likely to fit a persons breast), this means you only have and no spare for alternating or breakage. Also after using once on each breast, it’s likely to need charging and does not come with a swappable hands free xtra battery, instead you need to find a charging socket to recharge( which takes 1-2hours) before you can reuse. This charging and limited extras are unlikely to be a problem if you purchase two pumps ( approx 469) however if you own one like me it’s seems like limitations that can cause problems on the go. Overall excellent product well worth it but very elcistly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s not the best that I’ve used for suction but it does the job. I find I get more from it when I use it when breastfeeding. It’s so compact and convenient to use and I love that it’s hands free. I brought it away on a hen do and no one even knew I was pumping all day. My first hub broke relatively soon after purchase but Elvie sent a replacement the next day.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis wireless pump that fits in your bra is so much more practical than a standard pump that hangs off your front, gets in the way of everything, and is not remotely discreet. Finally I can pump whilst going about my day, and holding my baby to my front – which is impossible with standard wired/tube pumps, and invaluable when you’re with the baby alone several hours a day.

One thing I was worried about was having absolutely gigantic boobs – how could I put these in my bra without my chest looking even bigger? The elvie pumps actually compress into your breasts so it does not make them look significantly bigger than they are. It’s definitely not subtle, and to add to that not silent – there is a clicking sound, but in comparison to other pumps it’s far quieter, but don’t forget the dripping sound of milk also. You wouldn’t notice in a noisy office if that’s where you wanted to use them. However, who cares if anyone does notice, a breastfeeding mother should be free to do what she needs without anyone caring or thinking it’s weird. I know my colleagues would understand.

When you have a set of 2, it gives you x4 of everything which is great. Spares are necessary.

Negatives are that sometimes the pumps emit a high pitched buzzing noise. I returned my first set due to this as the buzzing sound was happening without any parts attached. The app is shockingly terrible and elvie need to sort their developers out to make it actually function as it’s supposed to. I won’t even go into the ins and outs of how bad it is, but to say the 2 star rating on it is generous because it is absolutely unusable. For me it doesn’t matter that much as the main positive is having a pump that means I can be mobile as the Lansinoh one hanging off my front and carting around a huge battery pack was just tedious and impractical. Another negative is that the pumps seem to think they’re full before the tank is full and stop automatically, but I’ve found you can just start it again and it will continue to fill a little longer up to a point. The pumps are kinda bad at leaking, all the milk that’s taken out of your nipple doesn’t go down the hole into the bottle so when you remove it can drip. Also I had a pump in my bra and it must have leaked out the front cos I had a huge wet patch. They have to stay upright, accidentally knocked mine and it went all down the sofa. Final negative is the light on the pump is extemely bright so I have to cover it during night feeds. This would be an issue if you wear a light top in public with them as you’d see it. Sometimes they don’t suck in your nipple properly. There is definite room for a lot of improvement with these.

However, overall for me this has been a game changer, I pump the other side every feed now when baby has one breast and in just a few days I have 5 bags of frozen milk. I’m finally able to build up a supply so my partner has enough for the bottle feeds and I also do it to increase the demand and supply because I’m currently dealing with relentless cluster feeding.

I would say don’t hesitate, it isn’t perfect unfortunately but it will make a huge difference if you’re a busy mum (what mum isn’t).

Well this is a life saver. I used a Tommy Tippee thing yesterday and genuinely thought my nipples were going to fall off. This Elvie expresser is fantastic, it is really comfy and loads of milk comes out straight away. There’s a very gentle quiet pump sound. You need a proper maternity bra with a hook to wear it. My baby was due a feed and my milk has come in so that helped with the amount coming out. It is leagues ahead of the Tommy torturing device and also really great because there are no leads, wires or additional stuff to try to hold and manage while you pump. It’s a bit tricky to work out how to clean it when you are on the edge of breast feeding/ new baby melt down but I just called the helpline and they explained it to me. If you’ve got the money to buy it just buy it. It’s worth it. I’ve been watching the same episode of Bake Off for three days now, thanks to Elvie I’ll finally get to see the twenty tiered cake that Jergen is making.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI hate to admit it, but this has been worth every penny!!!! It does exactly what it says it will. A Primark girl at heart I originally bought a cheaper version. And it worked okay for a couple of months, but it would leak easily and the battery went downhill quickly.
I bought this in sheer desperation as my milk supply can be all over the place and I really wanted to get time to pump hands free, and it just works! It is neat. It is actually quiet. Not silent, but I doubt anyone would hear it unless you were in a library and talking to someone two foot away from you. The way the bottle inserts to collect milk means it doesn’t leak (you will get a couple of drops when you take it off) unlike the cheap version that leaked about 2ozs down me!
Easy to clean, easy to charge. Granted I feel like Pammy when I have them both in, and no you can’t go for a jog in them, but you can potter around the house and run (upright) errands in them. Its great overnight to feed off one side and pump the other and my little one is oblivious to it.
So yes I’m sorry to say it isn’t cheap, but it is exactly what you were looking for!!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersCasi nunca escribo nada y este es mi tercer hijo. Mi hijo come sper bien, yo tengo libertad y he podido curarme las grietas.

Used to have a medala double pump but after the touchscreen kept freezing I returned it and got an Elvie instead. I’ve not looked back. This is the only true handsfree and practical pump out there, no pipes or external bottles or weird bra. It fits in my bra AND I can hold/feed/change my baby at the same time. It’s made it so much easier to express whilst taking care of my baby. The only thing is that the app is quite buggy, sometimes it creates random entries for 1984 or 2024?! It also looses connection and I then have to quit and open the app again. The stats are useless, that’s one where medala knows what’s better!
Cheeky that the small shield is extra, you only get the larger sizes and elvie’s small is medium sized for others (medala nipple shields and pump).
Suction is good, I had medala on 4 or 5 but Elvie on 1 or 2 so I’d say it’s stronger.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is my third baby, with my first I used a manual tommee tippee pump which I loathed. I hated the effort and how my hands got RSI from pumping. With my second I invested in the medela electric pump which was a lot better but still with many flaws, mainly noise, wires getting in the way and constant leaks leaving me drenched each feed. So for my new baby I said ‘stuff it’ and decided to break the bank by buying the Elvie.
I am so glad I did. I don’t make loads of milk – I never have so that’s not the fault of any pump so I can’t comment as someone who makes loads but this pump does easily get what milk I do make out comfortably.

    The positives are;
It’s quiet – it isn’t silent as claimed but you can have a conversation whilst using it and crucially you can hear the telly without putting the volume up to 11
It is hands free once it’s on and in the bra. I’ve used a hospital grade breast pump which didn’t yield more milk but did require me to hold the pumps in place. The great thing about the Elvie is that you can eat, hold the baby, stand up and answer the door etc all without stopping the pumping session.
It’s comfortable- ladies you know how much your poor nipppes can hurt whilst feeding but the Elvie is very gentle. At first I was worried it would be too gentle to work but no, it pumps well without causing pain which is a massive plus.
Once you figure it out, it’s easy to clean and assemble.

    The downsides;

It’s design does mean that you have to lean forward somewhat to avoid leaks when you remove the pump
It’s only suitable for cold water sterilisation – be careful here because I’ve read women have destroyed their pump by using heat to sterilise. It’s a bit annoying that I have to get tablets to sterilise but not a massive problem.
    Lastly it’s a shame it’s so expensive.

Overall I really recommend the Elvie and am glad I don’t have another breast pump that I want to hurl across the room in frustration!

The only reason this is not five star is because of the price and it takes a little getting use to. However, once you figure out where to position it for the best suction it is brilliant. It should really come with more of the green valves between the pump and the collection bottle however. I’ve had to buy replacements of these. I am generally satisfied with it, being relatively well endowed I was skeptical. But with the right nursing bra I can be ‘hands free’. It is easy to assemble. I’ve had mine a couple of months now and it’s used every day, this far no issues.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was v unsure about this product but was desperate to try. It is such a big investment that I was really afraid. I work 9/10 hour days 5 days a week and express lots for my 4 month old. My first pump was a hand me down from my sister & was an older model Tommee tippee, it died so I had to buy another one. But I had the chance to find out that pumping was going to work for me before investing. I have my Elvie 3 weeks now & this product is brilliant. It’s quick, quiet & convenient! I pump when driving so that’s a great use of my time. I had read about cleaning being an issue but I have to say for me it’s been fine. I use a Tomme tippie electric steam steriliser. I always put it on the top shelf & try to pack it up well with bottles etc. (hoping that it’s not too too hot). The shield size suited me so I was lucky on that front. I love the integration with the app. I can control it from my phone which is really handy. If I’m doing something & I don’t want it on then I can just pause it in my phone discreetly. Eg, in a post office that turned out to be very quiet so to save me blushing (or humming), I paused it on my phone & started again in the car. Great! I do like tech but this is not difficult. My phone always picks it up & connects automatically. It cuts out automatically when full so you can continue with what you’re doing until you’re ready to empty.
Cons – for me there are only two – it only holds 4.5 oz…. I’m used to pumping about 7 on a side at a time, so I now just stop, empty & start again. And secondly, it spills which is literally soul destroying. I have learned the very hard way so I don’t spill it much anymore but still have the odd spillage. Which is v frustrating as you have milk all over you, you need a spare top & it’s a bit rotten.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersPurchased this as a Christmas present for my partner who has decided to breastfeed. she had tried a manual pump and electric ones and issues with both.

the Electric-type’s before the Elvie was very loud and cumbersome so when we had seen these we were very excited to give them a try.

the pump is almost silent when in use and is very small and easy to carry around with you.

Simply charges with a standard Micro USB cable and you can get around 4 to 5 uses out of one charge from our experience.

It is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and they even send you a spare Valve, Spout and clip-on bottle (with lids)

they are quite expensive and we, unfortunately, could not stretch to purchasing two of them, but they are very good quality and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in expressing on the go.

my one and only gripe is that once turned on we can’t seem to find a way to turn of the white LED that comes on when in use, it fits discreetly into my partner’s Bra and was it not for the LED you wouldn’t even be able to tell she was expressing milk at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely love i
