These really work and I have them in many places around the house. They are easy to use and hang up, great in wardrobes which moths love and they last well. Kill a lot of moths but just the clothes moths
These pads are very attractive to clothes/carpet moths, but I had to use a killer spray to get rid of them. The pads are more useful for monitoring the moth population.
Work really well. I didn’t see any moths on them at first, but after a few days they started to build up. You may need the plastic holders to hang them up, but I just put them on the floor in the corners of rooms or behind furniture with the sticky side facing up and that works too. Make sure you have the right species though.
I have bought these before and they do work although the little critters do manage to hang on, so each year we do battle with them in order to keep our clothes and fabrics from being destroyed. Clothes moths can really cause a lot of issues if they are allowed to just keep spreading.
We have only seen a couple so far this year but that is enough for me to put these Pheromone Pads out in the house. We used to own a business selling clothes and you had to watch for these constantly. For such a small unassuming thing they are rather destructive.
Very easy to use and effective trap for carpet moths. Certainly a great help in controlling these pests which can cause terrible damage to wool products and especially oriental carpets.
I bought these a few times and they are the best value for money.
Unfortunately they are not enough to get rid of moths, you will need also something on the carpet to kill the eggs.
I regularly repurchase them. They catch a lot of the buggers.
At last I found a the right size for my moth traps.
These are very efficient. My photo shows 5 months worth of catching: May – September. Although we hoover carpet edges thoroughly they are still around. Definitely recomend……
We’ve had clothes moths now for about 4 years. Whilst these Entopest pheremone pads don’t eliminate them entirely, they have reduced the damage to clothes inside our wardrobes to virtually nil.
It’s quite scary how quickly the pads fill up with moths especially in the summer when their numbers seem to multiply. You just need to remember to replace them at regular intervals.
Since using these in every wardrobe, I’ve not had any more moth damage to clothes.
The UK 2022 heatwave has produced an explosion of clothes moths in my airless large-windowed flat. Having pets, I wanted something that was pet safe. These strips are fabulous, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do and last well — a fresh one put up once the room is cleared catching the occasional survivor or newcomer.
I think these pads are only supposed to be an indicator of how much of a moth infestation there is but I have found they also really do work at reducing moth numbers and I have had no further damage to clothes or carpets since using them. That said, I still have moth killing hangers in two of my wardrobes as a precaution but after about two years of using these they seem to be helping.
I have such moth problems with antique furniture, old carpets, clothes etc and this is a life saver it’s awful seeing the ” battle field”, after they get caught but they save my belongings.
Entopest moth traps are much better value than other well known brands, and quickly catch male moths to let you know that you have a moth problem. They last about 3 months before drying up, and I find it helpful to put a dot with a biro next to each moth I catch, so I can see a week or so later whether I still have a problem after using sprays. The Entopest spray products are good too, to tackle the female moths that cause the problem by laying eggs > munching larvae. I am a returning customer.
I already have the holders from previous use. Simply remove the adhesive cover from the strips, and slip into holders. Completely odourless. I think they are highly effective, but I’m being extra cautious after seeing a small moth a few days ago. It may have been just a normal moth, but this is a much cheaper option than having to replace clothes.
My home has been plagued with small moths for a few years now and I’ve been buying these for a while. They work great, and the company is very helpful in assisting you to identify that you have the right product for the type of moths you have, you can send them a photo. I think of the strips as moth graveyards – you soon find it filling up. Unfortunately it won’t get ride of them completely, but at least it cuts down on the number that can do any harm.
The peel-off cover on these is a bit hit-and-miss — some of them can leave a lot of product on the covering, rather than on the board. But they work very effectively and are good value.
It took a couple of weeks before my first pack started attracting the moths but thereafter the effectiveness was very good. All moths are not eliminated but they significantly reduced my problem. I have now purchased a refill pack and coupled with other protective measures – spray and coverings – the damage to clothing has been almost eliminated. Highly recommended as a partial solution and Fort were keen to be helpful.
I can’t give 5 stars at this stage as I am just about to use them but going on past experience they are very effective.
I’m just about to change my old ones which have been great at attracting the pesky critters.
In May 2018 we went to another country for a weekend – when we came back we noticed the clothes we wore had holes in it and then we noticed the clothes moths which we never had a problem with before. We have bought these in April 2019 and 2020 and the sheet catches at least 4 male clothes moths in my bedroom. The sheets collect many moths behind our television. Its sad to see the moths stuck to the sheet and wiggle but i guess to protect them eating clothes it is necessary. We tried other methods like the wood chips and it didnt work. This is a good alternative to spraying toxic pest spray. Works – we just need to remember to buy them in March to catch the moths earlier. Its a pity they have still returned year after year when it was never a problem we had until we stay in the one hotel abroad and brought the moths/eggs back on our clothes.
Superb product.. I was interested to see how effective they were.. I wasn’t disappointed! We had a bad moth infestation in the Wool carpets in every room. Under the things you move once a year lol. We killed all the lavae with permetherin and set these pads all round the house. Within two days we had at least 6 adult male moths stuck fast to each pad. They’ve been in the house over a week now and some of them have collected 10 plus. I haven’t seen any moths in flight since. I have splatted a number of lonely looking females left sat about in corners, waiting for prince charming though lol. Cheers guys great product! Xx
Being so pleased with them herself, my daughter gave me four of her moth strips to put down because there were tiny moths about on the edge of my carpet. Within a couple of hours each strip had caught four to seven moths, and I’ve been so pleased that I ordered a couple more packs myself. These are incredibly simple to use. Simply peel off the backing paper, and either lay the strips on the floor or on pieces of furniture; if you have a moth problem it will soon be solved and will protect your carpet or whatever was being damaged. I’m delighted with them.
These pads DO catch clothes moths – presumably just the male ones as they work by pheromone. But the problem is, that I have been using them successfully for years now and more moths still keep coming! Short of a full house fumigation it does not seem possible to get rid of moths/larvae/eggs. I hear Kirsty Allsop keeps a deep freeze for her most precious clothes just to kill the eggs and larvae in them ….. To put into perspective, I never have fewer than 5 pads deployed all over the house, and refresh them around every 5-6 weeks. I am catching 2 – 3 moths every day in the pads or physically killing them when I see them flying or settled… Bring back the dreaded moth balls which did kill the little blighters!
I was talking on the phone to a friend and she reminded me that I had bought these for her. She couldn’t remember what they were called. She has had a very bad infestation of moths. She remarked that the product was so good. As I had bought some refills I suggested that we did the same for her.
I suppose that this is in it self a great advertisement. The seller always sends a chart for you to make sure that you are sure about the type of moths you need to catch.
I’ve had moths in my flat for several years. Tried sprays, but they keep coming back. I initially purchased the pack of 5 traps and 10 glue boards from Fort Products. First, check that you have the right moths for these traps. When I ordered, Fort Products sent me photos of moths to check I had clothes moths. Very helpful.
I put the traps out in all rooms and the airing cupboard. They immediately collected moths. In some rooms I moved the traps around until I found what seemed to be the best place. Any moths that weren’t trapped I sprayed, assuming they were females. I left the traps out, as I reckoned a new batch may hatch out. When I did see further months, I changed the glue boards for new ones and caught more, and I carried on spraying any others. This was over a period of about 2-3 months. Since then I have had NO MOTHS at all. I still left the traps out in key spots. Very recently I noticed one or two moths in the traps and ordered more glue boards. But since then I have had no further moths.
In short, these definitely work, but over time and you need to persevere.
We have a bad moth infestation. They have caused a lot of damage to our carpets in every room. These pads catch up to 30 moths over a couple of weeks and work well. But I have found I need a lot of them to keep control of the level of problem that I have in my home. They are the only product I have found to work but I haven’t been able to get rid of the moths completely.
This is a really effective trap. You don’t need the trap, just buy these re-fills. It is worth noting that the sticky stuff is insanely sticky, avoid getting it on your hands at all costs, wear gloves. And the pheromones only last for a few days before the trap stops being effective.
Also, you don’t need a trap in each room. Just put 1 trap up once a week in a hallway and the moths can smell it a mile off. After a couple weeks the numbers of moths really drop.
I have used these for a while now to try and get rid of carpet moths that have been chewing their way through my carpets.
The pheromone strips do attract a lot of moths but I still have moths so they can’t be completely effective. Having said that I do have a lot less holes appearing in the carpets
I am happy to recommend them but would suggest getting carpets completely cleaned and sprayed and then using the strips as a back up
Thanks to the warning, I put out some sticky traps and waited 2-3 days to see if ‘my’ moths were the right ones, happily they started to stick. I think it would be good if the initial advert. made it clear that the trap doesn’t work with all moths; I had ordered several packets, and had they been wrong it would have been a bore to have to return them (if the warning was there and I missed it, I apologise). Sorry I can’t do images, etc.
The signs are very hopeful that this remedy may eliminate the infestation.
