Awesome lights with a good dimmer, yes not the worlds best i agree but for 69.99 they are worth every penny of that, i bought 2 and cant fault them, like i said better out there of course but they are big money so for a budget grower these can not be bea
Brilliant little light well worth the money, better than a lot of high end lights. My tomatoes love it and customer service was brilliant in responding and resolving my concerns.
For the price this is brilliant. I just bought it a round a month ago and it’s doing great much better then my other’s. Will buy agai
In fairness, it is not something out of this world but it is doing the job. I got it ordered fast when my main light got broken and it did the job to sustain the growth. All the indoor growers should have a backup light just in case the main one fails you at some stage and it needs to be taken into account…. by the way…. why your car has the spare wheel? :))))) same principle. So, it helps, it is working well for over a month, it’s fan is going well, it has all the fixings, dimmer etc… so… for the small grow tent light, I can recommend this, even more, please all, just get one emergency light in case your main one gets faulty and this unit can do all it seems. My main light well branded (it stopped to work with the dimmer) got sent the dimmer box from the distributor first, had to fix it myself and never worked, then they sent me the new driver (fitted it myself so no waiting time) and it worked and the problem was solved but in the meantime (it took several weeks for ‘THE BRAND’ to respond, the FECIDA really saved my project. Those all look fairly same competent, you can get a top notch light faulty or get a light doing the same job for less and it won’t break. All those lights like to use LG or Samsung LED, mostly have same features and capabilities. We are all different but we all have their own brain and mind and choose what is best according to theirs ‘views’, ‘needs’, ‘wishes’,’requirements’.
…therefore has a non-unity power factor (inductive load) and may not work properly with some digital timers. Check the “Inductive Load” power rating for your timer!
iv had 3 of these now. (Non have failed I just love them).. the results speak for themselves.. the design truly does mean they stay cool at what ever % they are set to.. iv stacked these up next to some of the best l.e.d lights for non commercial and these come in on top.. yes the 800 model my friend has is better.. but it was 800.. if I got 8 of these its around the same energy draw and double the space I can cover.. plus they keep throwing in extra bits now lol.. yoyo clips, hanging hook etc.. all in the box…genuinly, just get the friggin light.. ull thank me!
I like the look and that it is not too heavy. Plus the supporting cables are adjustable making it very easy to use.
Changed from a similar wattage red/blue setup to this full spectrum. Not only can I see things now without going blind but the plants deffinately are doing much better even at 80% brightness.
Really good light for the price. Dimming function essential in a small space and saves energy costs. Increased yield from thew plants I grow. Only criticism is the dimming knob needs to be re-calibrated sometimes. Otherwise, good build quality and excellent value for money.
Maybe I was not working it right but my cabbage seedlings leaves turnt yellow then shrivelled up.
I have had a pair of these (1000w) running in my tent (80x80x160cm) for a 48hr test and they are functioning very well. Extremely bright and heat wasn’t too much of an issue. Happy customer so far!
I am surprised that a lower-end lamp could produce such good results to be honest.
Plants seem happy with this lamp and grow to large sizes!
Great value, very sturdy, works perfectly and plants are very happy under it. Doesnt overheat and its extremely quiet. Highly recommend
Ordered the light and when it arrived it was not working spoked to Anna at customer service and sorted out a new one and sent it out within the day!
I was looking for a dimmable LED light for starting my vegetables as well as growing some salad greens. I have it at 25% right now and the plants are loving it. I’ll adjust it over time as the plants start to fruit, but I’m seeing great results at 25% , I may not need to go much past 50%.
Honestly not a bad little light for the price would of gave it 5 stars however the fan is much too noisy have to have the television on to not hear it kind of defeats the purpose of a stealth grow however the light itself is excelle
I’m able to start off growing tomatoes in my shed as early as January to have a crop as early as May in my greenhouse. Now that’s amazing. I start off other veggies as well.
The pictures shown appear to have been the latest model from Fecida. It was an offer whhich was current when I ordered it. I don’t know if it can be seen clearly, but the dimmer knob has been redesigned with more elaborate markings. The brochure is also different. My beef is – I have been sent the OLD model. I am hoping I can revamp this review at a later date if this error can be rectified. I have written to Fecida explaining the problem. Amazon have no provision for rectiying some of these errors; there is only the standard refund/exchange. Exchange is impossible because when I click on my order details it brings up a completely differen model- the cheaper ‘UFO’ – Chat were also unable to help with this matter.
To happier moments the Fecida range can be highly recommended, my first purchase of the Fecida 600(1000w) is going strong. From a seedling breaking surface to flourishing vegetation at three weeks they do an excellent job They seem well made and light weight due to the allumium casing and easy to position.
I keep my light height above the canopy at 16″ presently, and prefer to take light reading measurements. I use the photone app for Apple mobile ‘phone which you can download free. I paid for the extra PAR full spectum for LED add-on around 4 + something. I take a reading from the canopy through the front camera lens. Presently I have adjusted the light dimmer for a reading of approx’ 385 ppfd I have perfect growth no leaf scorching or thin leggy plants reaching for the lights. General PPFD (PAR) readings are:- seedlings/clones/mother plants from 250 – 400 ppfd. Vegative 400 – 600 ppfd & flowering 600 – 900 ppfd. I hope this info will help it will save hit & miss. The accuracy of the app has been compared to the most expensive PAR meters and is very close.
I was impressed enough with the Fecida grow lamps which prompted me to go for the latest model.
Update: 8th Dec’2021
Everything has come right in the end – my frustrations were short lived. The lovely Anna
at Fecida resolved the problem and all is well. Fecida bends over backwards to keep their
customers happy; their service is second to none. It is unfortunate that Amazon’s help section
does not cover all problems that a customer encounters. It is now evident that the item on offer
sold out and became unavailable. However, Amazon on the whole do a great job, and I am a happy customer.
Was used to germinate 6 varieties of frangipani and Boswellia Sacra (Frankincense) which notoriously have a low i.e 3% – 6% Germination rate. Teamed up with a Vitopod heated propagator it actually did the Job in a rapid amount of time. Genuinely impressed with this light. I don’t normally review but I like probably most was concerned about LED quantum boards and if the light produced could actually grow anything. I can confirm the light produced can grow and if Boswellia Sacra which grows in dessert like conditions and frangipani which is from a tropical climate is happy with it then so am I.
Brilliant lamp for a small grow space, dimmer switch is great for vegging period to prevent twisted leaves and when flowering the plants soak up the rays to produce very big and healthy cola’s at 100%. Easily hits the specified light spectrums and intensities as advertised.
It took minutes for my plants to perk up and start praying to the sun god I’d just installed – replacing a previous sun-like Bozily 300w LED (60 true watt, also from Amazon) which performs great at vegging but not something you want to rely on for big fragrant flowers in the long term. The FECiDA 1000w (120 true watt) is twice the wattage from the wall as the Bozily but easily 3 times the performance. Very similar results from my own brightness tests to those reported on the ad and flowering should yield more than impressive results on a per watt scale. The cooling fan is very quiet and is barely noticeable when at full power. Overall generates very little heat.
Very sturdy design and comes with a very and useful cool adjustable hanging mechanism on top of your standard 4 metal wires.
If I had more space I would definitely look at this brand again especially since you can daisy chain their lamps. Another great feature at this price point. Very happy with my results altogether. I wasn’t sponsored for this review, this is for the budget hunters out there looking for growing results like the pictures on the seed package show you and grown in a relatively small space.
Easily best value for money grow light in its range on Amazon at the moment and if long-term results continue to impress I will be happily purchasing another or upgrading within the brand.
This is my second fecida LED, my first being the 50w/300 sunlike that managed to get me almost 3 ounce of automatic, secondly the 600/1000 dim able
So I wanted to get the better option for my 80cm space.
The design used on the 600 is a brilliant idea, almost like a cool tube, but not all enclosed should extend the lamps life??
Brightness after going from the 50w/300 is incomparable for me, was like a torch vs flood lights it is that much brighter.
I do not think the PDDF rating lie as I put this into my tiny grow of herbs in a 40cm x 140cm size tent. I like that this light has a fan in the middle to keep ait moving up through it, not sure if its because its less efficient than the more expensive brand. But the light never seems to get super hot. I did have a little heat issue inside my tiny grow but the light at 30cm from the toppest part of my plant and at 80% and the lux I am getting from my app is 65000lux
UPDATE:
I did find this light a little hot in my tiny grow tent (40x140cm) I could have obviously turned it down a little.. But I was not sure if it was the efficiency of the leds so I got a light which said it is samsung and meanwell driver expecting it to outperform the fecida or at least match it but it was at 40000lux in same position as the fecida not quite enough for me.. at the height I need it to be at….. And sure it was not as powerful at 100w vs 120w but it couldn’t reach 65000lux in the same position wit the fecida at 80% which is about 100w worth of the 120w it has, then it is using about the same watts as the samung.. SO.. The fecida actually I prefer as it has the dimmer knob, the samsung one didn’t which was annoying. but then I found it couldn’t output the same lux as the fecida! at 2.7 umol instead of 2.2umol I wanted to see the comparison.. I guss that tiny change in the umol/j doesnt count for much and samsung led are not the only led worthy to grow with in the known universe (which is how some grow snobs act). I reckon this fecida is pretty much the same efficiency as the samsung. in practical use. But it also has the dimmer knob, its very light and the fan in the middle is actually good for a tiny grow tent to keep air flow moving.. Sure it gets a bit hot but I could always turn the brightness down and move it closer. I am going to buy a proper lux meter instead of using the app on my phone, as I think the app maxes out at 65,000lux I might actually be getting over this with the fecida!! It is def over 100 watts so not lying about 120w, that extra 20w really gives it a bang!! So cheap and actually seems to perform as promised, it outperformed my expectations!
So far it seems to do the job it’s a lot cheaper to run than a sodium light but I find that I do need at least one per plant ( that’s tomato plant ! )
This light Works! The price is good. The light spectrum is Good. It does Not get hot after long hours bn on. ( yes I aimed a 4inch fan at it ). I own a well known brand as well an this cr600 light gives as good quality light as the Brand but you can dim it unlike the Brand. All in all a Good budget light that is well built an a Good price point. If your jus starting out, you could do alot worse than this light an pay Much more. Its up to you
I would give 5 stars but there’s two things which are very minor which would make a massive difference to this product. The first is how short the wire is and the second is the loose connection which does feel a bit dodgy…. bit of a shame. But other than that really good light and really bright fan does a good job keeping it cool and doesn’t make much noise. Good value. Would like to see a bigger light from you guys
This is a fantastic little light for the price with a spectrum that my plants seem to enjoy. It draws a maximum of 120 Watts from the wall and seems to perform as well as a 250W MH, albeit with slightly smaller coverage. Being dimmable down to 20% makes the light much more versatile, I can turn it down and use it for seedlings, which is more energy efficient. The downside is they’re kinda small, so you’d need a few to cover a decent space. I’ve since installed larger boards in my main growing areas, which is cheaper than many small ones, and use this for propagation, but this was my first quantum board, and the one that sold me on changing over my whole lighting system.
588 LEDs? Full spectrum? Clean professional look? Unbelievable at this price (84 I paid). I’m incredibly satisfied with the brightness, I’ve yet to need them at 100% yet (I’m running two) even when set at 50+cm away from my plants.
The active cooling system comprises of a singular fan which pulls air from above the light and forces it though the body of the board, cooling the LEDs as the air passes through. No need for 20 noisy clip on fans pointed at my light to keep my peace of mind.
I was so happy with these lights I ordered another one for a 60×60 tent I have and it’s doing wonders.
Fecida, keep it up! Whoever sourced/designed these for you- give them a raise!
Amazing product especially for the widely loved MaryJane it gives off brilliant brightness which you have 100% control over with a dimmable switch. Robust build with a sturdy reliable fan built in to stop them overheating the daisy chain option is great too my indoor garden which is blossoming beautiful thanks to this grow light I have had 2 sizable crops since purchase and will have many more to come. Well worth the money better than my previous grow light from a well know brand I had the ts600 this is better hands down imo. Bravo
After buying the this new grow light from Fecida I have seen a huge improvement in plant growth!!! … there is something about the Fecida light spectrums that really works well – I can only highly recommend.. especially for the price also – easily just as good or better than some of the more expensive lights on the market. Customer service is great with fast response, they seem to have a great team behind them.
The build quality is good and strong. The light has a fan on top but I have never felt the light get hot or come close to over heating.
Great product and Seller !
I bought this to help some plants that I’m trying to over-winter and that were really struggling, and to prevent early sown tomatoes and chilli plants getting too leggy.
The over-wintering plants are already showing a marked difference –
A thunbergia has lots of new growth and flowers.
A passion fruit plant has also put on lots of new growth.
A variety of pepper plants (chilli & capsicum) have started to develop new shoots, and flowers.
I have other similar plants that are on south west facing window sills that by comparison are dormant.
Too early to say how the early seedlings will fare.
Wish I’d bought it earlier for the over-wintering plants, never had another to compare against, but it is very brigh
I installed the light in my small green house, as I had planted a tremendous amount of pepper seeds, all of which germinated (late in the year) after several weeks of cold dark weather, I now have an abundance of flowers due mainly to the new lighting.
The LED light does not get hot at all and appears to produce a light similar to daylight ie. the correct spectrum! All of my plants are thriving on the new lighting.
I don’t run the light at full strength as it is extremely bright and the plants do not need it at the moment.
Very pleased so far. Would certainly recommend the CR600 LED grow light.
Whenever I touch the rope hanger and the LED i get an electric shock. I was told mine was faulty I have been given a refund she explained how this can happen and what may have caused it and said she would give me a full refund. very good customer service.
I am a novice grower who had a couple of plants which I had started outdoors at the beginning of July. As the weather turned colder I researched grow lights for when I was going to have to bring them indoors. I found the Fecida quantum board on Amazon, which looked like it might do the trick, as it is billed as full-spectrum and is at an attractive price compared to some of the better-known names in the marketplace.
I ordered one and it arrived the next day in plain packaging. The unit itself is slightly larger than a piece of A4 paper, and is quite light due to its aluminium construction. The light itself is very impressive when you turn it on. The fan looks like a standard exhaust fan that you’d find in a pc case, and is relatively quiet, but not silent. I don’t think passive cooling would have been an option in this unit as there are just so many LED’s packed into a relatively small space, though it doesn’t seem to generate that much heat.
Within four weeks of growing under the lamp, the plants had grown more than they had in twelve weeks of growing outdoors, and there was so much vegetation growth that I needed to purchase a second lamp to keep an even distribution of light.
The decision to purchase the same lamp again was made much easier by the fact that you can daisy chain these lights together, using only one power outlet. The plants are now well into their flowering stage, and look like they will deliver a substantial yield. In fact, they’ve been so successful, I wanted to get a jump on the veg stage of another variety, and have purchased a third lamp, and this has reduced the veg stage to just four weeks before flowering, which is impressive.
Each unit comes with its own dimmer switch, which can be adjusted independently when used in daisy chain mode. Very handy when you have plants of varying heights, and also lessens the need to have the lights on a ratchet, though mine still are as one plant won’t stop getting taller — currently at six-foot! In all, I’m very impressed with this unit.
This product is really good specially for the price! My plants are really thriving with this! Regarding the light spectrum and umol, i could’nt ask for better!
It is well built, sturdy and very good quality! Highly recommend!
The CR-600 is a very good Quantum Led Grow light for the price. I studied crop and plant physiology at degree level and for me this light ticks all the right boxes. The spectrum for virtually all stages of plant growth is spot on. I actually grow my seedlings under A FECiDA gooseneck grow lamp 100w at half power for the first week then transfer them to my grow tent under the CR-600 with amazing results. Fast vegetative growth with large leaves and strong stems, better than other lights I’ve had previously used. I reviewed the PPFD for the 2ft square area and was impressed. My grow tent is only 1 and 1/3 ft square and I can run this light on 65% power as it dimmable which saves me money.( If you use full power in this size tent you may damage your plants). In a 2ft tent I would probably choose about 90-95% of full power. Another feature that attracted me to this over several well known brands is the fact that there are U.V. LED’s which will help to kill unwanted bacterial plant pathogens. Add to that the fact that it has a built in silent fan to aid cooling making this a really good unit. Some people have commented that the power lead connection is a bit week but with gentle firm pressure it will stay put adequately. The board is also waterproof so don’t worry about splashes. I understand you can also daisy chain the units, (join them together in a string) which is useful in a large tent. Add to that two years Warranty and your laughing. I have never been so satisfied with the growth rate of my plants since using this Unit and Highly recommend it. Thank you FECiDA.
My plants were abandoned by their old lamp who died and basil, chilly and other harvests were at risk considering that I live up north in Scotland and the sunlight at this time of the year is an euphemism. I always used the double color led type of lamps (blue-red) with excellent results but considering the preference that many users seem to give to the full spectrum ones I decided to give a try to one of them. I chose this one because in the description elements like safety, silent operation and reliability were highlighted and the price was quite affordable.
I could not be more satisfied for the few hours it is running.
First it came from Amazon Prime in less than 24 hours and considering the situation for my plants and the remote place where I live that was pure blessing.
Second the lamp was safely packed and once taken out of packaging it feels really well constructed and assembled, with a lovely display of leds. It looks and feel Hi Tech.
Third.. it is light, I think its weight is around the half of the same dimension ones I had in the past probably due to the nice alluminium chassis.
Once turnt on the first thing to notice is how silent it is and then comes the curiosity about how bright it is, I would be curious to mesure it with a third party kit because at 100% of the dimmer it is impressive.
After several hours then, I could notice an immediate reaction in my plants, sign that the brightness is made by the right wave lenghts and being the first time I buy a full spectrum one it is good news. Really tiny amount of heat produced and this lamp would be the perfect solution for stealth growing in tiny spaces considering dimensions, brightness, silence and safety. The double driver then makes it sound like a reliable one but after my experience I think that once evaluated the harvest I will possibly invest in a back up one due to the affordable price.
Really happy both for the choice of lamp and for Amazon service.
First thoughts:
I’m losing daylight for the tomatoes I’m growing outdoors and so I thought I’d try out this grow light as my current ones are about half the size.
Very simple to use and seems to have a good range of light for the different growth stages of the plants.
I’ve installed it in my indoor grow tent and will test it out over a few weeks on Aloe Vera to see how it performs before bringing in the tomatoes and peppers.
Detail and things to note (See pictures and video):
These lights can be daisy-chained so I can add more in the future.
Single control so easy to adjust.
The built-in cooling fan seems to pull heat away from the unit quite well.
Final thoughts:
A great grow lamp but the hanging cables provided are a bit short for the peppers so I may use a yoyo cable that I already have or place the peppers on shelves.
The images on the supplied instruction leaflet make it fairly apparent the purpose to which the manufacturers of this grow light anticipate that it will be put – though in fact my usage is nothing so glamorous: I’ve set up a heated, hydroponics system grow house for trying to maintain a supply of fresh, home-grown, pesticide-free, salad and vegetables through the Winter.
The light panel is nice and bright, and the coverage area is sufficient for around a square metre of grow area, so I am using this in conjunction with another panel (from a different brand). The light panel has a metal body and a cooling fan is built in to the back of the panel – fan is nicely centralised and works effectively. There’s no clear plastic cover over the LEDs on the surface of the panel, they’re just exposed, but this is necessary, as the underside of the panel includes ventilation holes to allow heat to disperse. The light output has a generally warm white appearance, although the panel includes both red and white LEDs. This has a control for the light levels – a dial with markings at 20% intervals, although the dial can be set at any point. Fan speed appears to be controlled alongside light intensity. Detachable chain suspension system is effective. Supplied with mains cable – this only just fits, was a little awkward to get on and doesn’t slide on as far as it feels as though it should. It’s on and the power supply goes through, but I have some concerns about this.
The light arrived in a very good strong box with packaging to protect the grow light.
The instructions are very clear on how to attach the wire to the clips/hooks etc, however I found that’s as far as they went for being helpful.
I was given the opportunity to review this item as I am a Vine Voice member. I have been thinking about using a grow light for a while so I thought why not give it a go. I have since realized it’s not as easy as attaching a light inside your shed and popping a tray of seeds under it.
As I am new to all this I was kind of hoping for more information in the box with regards to diodes and PPFD, there is a PPFD chart on the advert for the grow light on Amazon, I just think it would have been better to have a more useful instruction manual with all this information in the box.
It does have a good range of colour LEDs for different stages of growth so that is a plus.
I’m going to do some more research before setting this up in my shed, I think there needs to be some sort of smaller tent with the light inside it.
I am giving this 4 stars due to lack of instructions, if any one reading this can shed any light (pardon the pun) on how to set this particular light up then please comment below. I will report back once it is all set up and working and if it is indeed easier than at seems I will let you know.
My advice before buying this light is to research a little and ensure this light has the capacity you need for the space you have.
Thought I’d jump on the quantum board bandwagon, was looking at the ppfd maps of other boards but this one blew the others away and was about 30% cheaper than the more well know companies.
This grow light uses active cooling (fan on top of unit), where as other companies seem to use passive cooling (heat sinks)
The build quality is very good, not amazing(when compared to the more expensive brands) but still very good and feels solid.
The light emitting capabilities seem incredible with it putting out an intense white light at 100% and has me tempted to buy a lux or par meter to get raw data for myself (anyone out there got the equipment please do an independent test).
Overall very impressive bit of kit for a very reasonable price and will keep an eye on this company for more of thier new stuff.
This is a 600w LED grow actual wattage is 120 w equivilant
Came in a neat brown box and was well packaged
The light looks smart although a little smaller than expected
It comes with 4 anchor hooks and a 3 pin UK power lead
And also some basic instructions and litriture Re spectrum and fall off etc
There is a dial on the side so you can adjust from say 20 % with seedlings or small plants and it goes upto 100% in segments of 20 so 20 ,40, 60, 80, 100,
The light feels like good quality the build feels sturdy and strong its also made from an aluminium so it naturally disipates heat, and it claims to handle temps upto 149 f there is a 4″ fan on top of the unit to also help with cooling
The fan is quiet and hardly noticable
it seems fine after 1 or 2 hours use and does not feel hot
It also has a daisy chain option there is a plug on the side to allow multiple lights to be linked together for bigger grow spaces
The light seems bright and looks ok
I will have to update this in a week or two after the plants have had time to get used to a different light and update my experience
Over all looks great feels like good quality and functions as it should priced fairly it is mid range so as long as it performs as it should long term then this light is a viable option
4/5
