Used for trail running and ultras.
The light is insanely good, mainly just use it on the lower settings as it’s like daylight when they’re both on full.

It definitely drops and bounces with running as all the weight is at the front. I found it worse wearing a buff but ok when just straight on the skin.
Eventually used with a cap turned backwards and it’s perfect like that and don’t know it’s there.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI tried the Biolite headlamp before buying this, the Biolite is way comfier but didn’t think it was bright enough for Cornish trail runs and the battery wasn’t great (didn’t want the external battery as then it’s more expensive and more complicated) in the end I settled with this being a bit uncomfortable over a period of time but wanted the reliable and easily replaceable battery that I knew would see me through the night if needed plus epic brightness and throw distance. Worth the money, seems like it will last a long time.

I’ve reviewed a number of headtorches since moving to a more rural location. This one has a ridiculous burn time with an equally high lumen output which is more than enough for running trails in the middle of nowhere. It’s also exceptionally easy to use, switching to low first, so you don’t dazzle others or wake-up anyone if used in a tent camping, etc.

Got this for a Birthday present and wow it’s a massive upgrade from the 30 ones all over amazon!!! Nice and small and comfortable. And super bright if and when needed!! Only slight downside is it gets pretty warm and can make you sweat if using on high power for any length of time. Overall I love it and will get used loads for work and home diy!

Great headtorch, love the two modes of flood and spot, battery life for is great, the flood at 400lumens is great for running lanes in the dark. For the price I can not fault this great headtorch, we’ll done Fenix

The range on this thing is amazing! Friends who have lesser head torches are left in awe. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. The click to tighten headband is a welcome feature too.

You really do get what you pay for. The adjustable strap is comfortable and easy to use. The light is bright and the battery life is incredible. A large price for a head torch but seriously worth considering as it truly is in a class of its own. Recommend to all outdoor enthusiasts.

That’s what another runner said to me this morning as he leapt off the road onto the pavement. This torch is awesome, super bright and does everything you could need it too. It’s great on the trails and when the flood light is on full you really feel assured that you can see everything underfoot and about you. it’s a lot of money but I’m really pleased I bought it.

After making do with a cheaper head torch it’s … Night and day.

Eine sehr gute und sehr helle Stirnlampe. Hat natrlich auch etwas Gewicht, aber das ist wohl Kopfsache.

Wow I live in a village so running in the winter on back roads isn’t a problem with this head torch
    Highly recommend

As headtorchs go this is a great piece of kit, unfortunately the battery life is terrible on 400 lumens you’ll be lucky to get 4 hours despite fenix stating you’ll get 12.
