Bought this for my son in place of an Apple watch as was not sure if he would wear it. Been over a month now and not taken it off. Can see very little that this does not do that my Apple watch does. A great purchase.

I’ve had it for 5 days so far and the battery is still at 40% a lot better than others i have tried. Very comfortable on the wrist. Does everything I wanted it for like tracking steps and heart rate during a workout

Very happy with this purchase after years of being an Apple Watch user, I wanted to change it up and for cheaper smart watch This does not disappoint and for a fraction of the price!

More versatile, looks great, clear screen, comfortable to wear great value. I chose this because the Versa 4 and Sense 2 were really more expensive with less useful features. I have an android phone so done needed Google maps and works use the phone for Google page if I choose. The Fitbit pay doesn’t work with my bank.

    Overall delighted .

Bought for my daughter as a gift, easy to set up , looks good. Nothing major to criticise. Only negative was needed charging out of the box where as some items come fully charged, to be expected really but daughter was eager to use

Great! This was an upgrade from my versa which I had for sometime. Works really well, a bit different to previous so took some getting used to. The stap irritated my skin so brought a replacement woven fabric one. Would recommend screen protector. Great all round watch, 6 days battery life and Alexa built in is a bonus. Highly recommended

Product seems great so far but when I ordered, it said delivery by 10 pm today. As soon as I pressed the buy button the delivery date changed to next day by 10pm. Other than that it seems great so far 😉

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI upgraded from a Charge 3 to this, having looked at the difference between the Versa 3 and 4. Most reviews say they’re basically the same so I figured, with it being cheaper, I’d go for this one. I loved it! Really clear, bright screen that you can customise. The GPS is much more stable that the Charge’s was and I’ve not had any of the battery issues that others have mentioned. I’ve done 3 runs, 3 walks, had it on 24/7 and received notifications, and the battery was at 34% after 5.5 days so pretty on par with what Fitbit promised. Definitely recommend!

This is a really good FitBit, as expected. I’ve not had any issues with it, battery is long lasting. Get yourself a silicone screen protector to avoid scratches.

It’s very easy to get used to and navigate with. It does a good job in keeping track of sleep, breathing, and steps and other form of exercises.
The things that I dislike are , not being able to listen to songs straight from the fit bit device.
And the straps are bad , no matter how loose or how much of a good fit they were, it caused me to have a rash and peeled a bit of skin and I’m not very active and it’s caused me this much discomfort. I’ve had the inspire HR too and that was fine compared to this. So you might need to look for something else or purchase different straps for these.

These elastic straps make a massive difference to my watch. No more sore areas from the silicone. No readjustments throughout the day and slip easily on and off.
The clip fits the versa 3 perfectly too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have had the Versa 1 for quite some time before switching to this Versa 3, so it was easy to get used to this product and to set it up. Sleek, light and really easy to use. The band is very comfortable and doesn’t snag on my skin at all.

One disappointment is that is tracks my runs different to all other trackers. I have experimented by running with Garmin, iPhone and other devices. Versa 3 consistently loses about 0.5k for every 7k. So if you have run for 15k, it will only show up less than 14k. I know my routes very well and so I know it is the Versa 3 that is wrong. This is disappointing as the feature I had been most excited about for the GPS.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI told myself I would not buy another fitbit watch as I’ve owned 2 in the past and both died after 2 years after updates and going swimming. But I went and tried other brands and nothing really matched the fitbit or they lacked certain features I wanted. So I found myself going back to fitbit.
I don’t regret the purchase as it ticked all boxes, large screen so makes reading notifications very easy, being able to answer calls as other watches you can only reject calls, many fitness features, feels and looks premium, easy to use. Overall it does everything.
Built in GPS is great so do not need phone when going for a run. You can even take calls from the watch if you really need too, make payments but I don’t use this feature but good that there’s an option for it.
Various different watch faces if you want a change.
Great watch. I just don’t think I will ever take it swimming and fingers crossed it updates over time with no issues as this is where my old ones died on me for no reason at all.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThe watch is great. I love the sleep tracking and it really motivates me to keep moving. There’s lots of fun watch faces and I like that I can easily log my exercises in. It automatically knows if you’re on a walk , which is cool. The app is really good too.

The strap it comes with however, beware.. these photos are after working a busy shift so maybe I sweat a bit but I’ve worn it in the pool so I don’t think it’s moisture. Bearing in mind I work in an industry where I wear latex gloves all the time and never have a reaction. My friend also had this happen with the strap they provide. It’s also quite awkward to put on and do up. I’ve ordered a new strap now. I’d recommend changing the strap out.

Otherwise can’t fault the watch itself 🙂 really pleased with it.

The watch is great! The strap not so much..

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersI didn’t know if I should buy the Versa 4 or this Versa 3 one.
So I did my research and I am glad I went with the Versa 3.
    Why?
Google assistant is on this one and not the Versa 4, I have asked them if it will be on the new one and they don’t know.

Music app on this version only for now which lets you leave your phone at home and listen to the music. DEEZER is the only one that lets you do this but it’s on premium only which is annoying but you can download your playlists to the watch.
I am using the 3 months trial they give you.
Spotify don’t let you download music to the watch and they want you to pay premium to just control your music on the watch. That is why DEEZER is the winner for me.

3rd party apps on this version and no news if the versa 4 is getting that support,
Flash light, clock faces, loads of free and paid , has navigation app but that is under a paid yearly app.

This version does have Fitbit pay but most UK banks don’t support it but I am hoping they will add it to the versa 3 like they will be to the versa 4 once the google pixel has been out for a while.

The versa 4 has 3 features that I wanted but are not even released on that version yet. They are google maps, google wallet , YouTube music.

So I am hoping these will be released and then I am a very happy buyer.

    CONS
    Bluetooth range
The versa 4 does have better Bluetooth range as this version you do need to be near your phone which is the cons.
    No Google Maps
    No Google wallet
No way to store Music to your watch without paying DEEZER Subscription fee but do use there 3 months free trial.
Can’t have Alexa and google assistant on at the same time.

Lots of fitness stats and you get 6 months free Fitbit and the well being monthly reports if you need to know more about your health.

Versa 3 is much cheaper has more features then the versa 4 at the time of writing and they don’t even know what is happening on the versa 4.

So that is why I went with the versa 3 smart watch.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI really loved the battery life on this thing and the superior sleep tracking plus it was light as a feather on my wrist. There was a really nice clip on screen protector (bought separately) that didn’t affect the touch-ness or brightness of the screen and it came with a nice breathing app and loads of info on the premium app – free for 6 months (tho not a big fan of paying for info off a device I actually paid good money for).

The first thing that really ticked me off was Google Assistant really didn’t work for me as well as on the GW4, there was no Google Pay option and even tho Notes had been asked for since the watch release it still hadn’t been implemented when I came along.
Plus I noticed a lot of ‘My watch died a week after the warranty ran out and Fitbit weren’t interested’ posts in their forums and Reddit – Yes they tended to offer a 30% discount on their site for a new watch but you could find that price on Amazon much of the time so not so generous…

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI bought this as a replacement to a Huawei Smart Watch after it had made recording any manner of activity a literal nightmare and was delighted at the level of content it could record and how easy it was to use.

    Pro’s
    – Needs a little charging out of the box, but holds charge for up to 5 days easily.
    – Plenty of options for customising the clock face
    – records data well to companion app on your phone, companion app synchs with other apps like My Fitness Pal
    – Can choose from a range of exercises that it can record you doing
    – Can download and use apps like C25k (already installed on this one) which enhances overall use.

    Cons
    – The major con that I’ve found with this which has led to me taking off a star is the screen is super easy to scratch. I was walking through a door and lightly brushed against it to take a delve out of the middle of the screen which worried me quite a bit. There is also no option to replace this screen as Fitbit do not offer this but it has not impacted the functionality and with a screen protector on it now, you would need to look at it hard to find it.
    – The strap began to rub my skin off after having it on continuously for days at a time. I ended up buying a fabric strap that feels much better and has caused me no problems since I had it.

All in all, a fantastic health centred smartwatch for those who just want to monitor their activity. But please buy screen protectors with it. You will not regret that purchase.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI do love my watch. I had a Fitbit charge 3 and showered with it once and the screen went dodgy. So I replaced it with this. Even though this is waterproof I don’t want to risk it. Also the charge 3 silicone straps snapped all the time so I had to order a metal one.

Anyway back to the Versa 3. I’m hoping this strap doesn’t break like the other one. So far so good. I’ve had this for 2 months now. I don’t really use all the features to be honest. I have free premium but don’t bother to use it as I have other apps I use. And YouTube is free for workout vids and guess what? It has millions!

Fitbit are not hooking me into their subscription. I have vitality life insurance so it ties in well with monitoring my active and steps I am happy with my purchase . So fa

    So far So good

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI had a Fitbit versa 2 before this, the screen of which sadly died on me. Whilst the unit does not appear that different, the onboard GPS allows tracking of your walk or run automatically. The downside to this is that I find the battery life less than the previous model.

The versa 3 advertising talks of monitoring snoring. However since this is only available for premium members so it’s a bit of a pointless add on unless you are looking to fork out the membership fee. There is an offer for a free trial membership, but be careful as it will automatically continue after the trial period and then charge you via the App Store unless you cancel your subscription.

The straps are much easier to fit than on the older versa. I managed to break a number of nails trying to get a new strap on my older model.

Overall I like the tracker, the face is I believe updated from the 2 so clear and easy to read and slightly smoother. The software easy to use and customise your screen. Is it worth upgrading from the older model if you don’t have to? I would say not, as most of the things it tracks are the same, my wife is still is very happy with her versa 2, but if you are buying a new one it is certainly a nice tracker.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersI’ve only had the Versa 3 for 1 day, I upgraded from the Versa 2 which I had for 16 months and started getting issues with it not syncing/connecting to bluetooth/getting gps signal from my phone. So I upgraded as the in built GPS seemed a good option for me. I mainly use my watch for cycling. here’s what I think so far.

Very easy to set up, it came with 50% charge on the battery. I couldn’t connect to my Wifi for a while, realised I needed to select the WA option instead of WA2, but yeh if you have problems just try a different option on the drop down. At first GPS wouldn’t connect when I tested out the exercises as if I was going on a bike ride, I’ve not had a GPS watch before and it wouldn’t connect for ages, then I read online that you need a clear view of the sky, as soon as I walked outside it connected (drr!).

I do not like the fact that they have swapped the button on the side for a sensor. With my watch worn on my left wrist, I would naturally use my right index finger and press the button from the top, but the sensor does not recognise my index finger, so I just have to use my right thumb – it sounds silly but when you are so used to doing something a certain way, it takes a while to alter how you do it so it’s been a bit of a pain, plus my thumb has never worked first time on the sensor either.. it works fine when I’m holding the watch in my hand, but when it’s on my wrist it so far takes about 3 tries every time, I’m hoping i’ll start getting it right soon, I think the sensor is possible too near to the rest of my arm when wearing the watch that my finger doesn’t cover it all as when I take the watch off I can do it easily with my thumb, but again it won’t work with index finger on or off which is strange.

The motion of turning my wrist to get the screen to light up seems to work loads faster than my Versa 2 which I was having to really exaggerate the action for. It used to work faster so maybe they all slow down, but I’d only had it 16 months!

I am not a fan of the strap, and twice have already dropped the watch whilst trying to put it on. I’ve ordered a different strap now and a protective cover. I’d never had to change the strap on my Versa 2, it has always been fine.

I don’t really use the watch for much else, just bike rides and HIIT workouts so I can’t write about the other functions. I’m trying it out on a ride tonight. I’ll update this review in time if I need to.

**REVIEW UPDATE 15 Months after purchase –
I have been wearing my Versa 3 every day since I brought it. It has been great and I’ve not had any of the previous sync or connection issues. It’s been very reliable so far with syncing to strava for my bike rides.

I still find the sensor ‘button’ a bit hard to turn on first time, so I never got used to it, it’s always been a bit awkward to me and I still think a button like on the Versa 2 would have been a better design.

With regards to the motion of turning my wrist to get the watch display to light up, this seems to have slowed just like the Versa 2 did which is weird. I sometimes have to exaggerate a big turn of my wrist 2-3 times when I want to look at the display when out on my bike using it, and when not using it and just wanting to look at the time, it could do with being a second faster.

I’ve never used the original strap, as I much prefer to buy a separate nylon stretchy strap where you don’t have to undo the strap to get the watch on, you just pull it on. If you buy one though, always go for ones with metal clasps over plastic, as I’ve had a nice plastic one but it lasted 6 months. The metal one i’m on now has so far lasted 7ish months.

Overall, I love this, like I said I’ve worn it every day, it still looks new and I’ve even got tan marks from not taking it off. I used it for road biking, roller skating, walking and I have swam in it too. Oh, the screen locks when you go for a swim and it’s very very difficult (took me 5 mins) to unlock it to stop the exercise so beware of that.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersNo instructions or even a simple starter guide included to help set it up. A really amazingly poorly presented lack of consumer engagement.

The app would not function at first when loaded, it was better the next day with patience and I am a computer geek!

My wife wanted to use this, not that user friendly and difficult to set up or choose the options.

Once the app on an iPhone 7 started to function, it was not too hard to get going, it has a bright display and no way does the battery last 6 days, we have charged it twice in 4 days and it’s not on 24 hour display.

It also has an annoying feature telling her to move when she has a nap after walking the dog, really annoying and cannot turn it off, destroying the rest period.

My wife is liking this with reservations, but being a healthcare scientist, I find these just a pointless gimmick, but then I don’t do the gym culture finding those with gym muscles half my age useless when rebuilding a heritage railway.

Charging is simply, a USB magnetic clip on to the watch back, no indication it has charged though.

Update: my daughter has experience with another brand and was able to find a YouTube video on getting this to cooperate with an iPhone. Now it informs my wife of new messages and rumbles on incoming calls, which is the most useful feature of this watch.

Today she managed 2000 steps over her target, just before the 2nd National UK Lockdown!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI’ve owned the Versa 3 for a week. I previously owned a FitBit Ionic (more on that later).
This is a stylish sports / smartwatch and does a great job. It has a few irritating design issues, but these shouldn’t spoil your enjoyment.

    PROS
+ The pebble looks great and I love the curvy style a large screen
+ It tells the time! This may sound an obvious revelation, but I owned FOUR FitBit Ionics that developed the same fault and constantly lost minutes due to failed sync issues (three of my Ionics were sent as replacements!!!)
+ Charger is much better and sturdier than the old, shaky, three-pin magnetic connector of the old Ionic. The new four-pin dice pattern give a more reassuring connection.
+ It now has Amazon Alexa control and I can do pretty much everything that I normally ask my home Alexa to do (there is no audio output, so obviously this is mainly non-audio controls).

    CONS
    — Limited colours available. I really wanted a nice silver pebble, but they only have black (which I think looks a little cheap) and rose gold. I’m sure more will come.
    — There is only one button at the left-hand side. This is the button that takes you back to the main watch face, but it’s programmable for a longer press. The problem is that it’s slightly underneath the bevel and occasionally my own wrist activates the button if I slightly lean on the watch. Since I have the button allocated to Alexa commands I’m worried I might accidentally order 5kg of dishwasher tablets while I’m running. Perhaps this is FitBit’s way of telling me I have fat wrists!!!
    — Weak Vibration. Even on the “strong” setting, the vibration is too weak. Long vibrations (like hitting my goals) are fine. But I do a lot of interval training outside and the short buzz is like a butterfly’s wing gently brushing my wrist. Not great for running outside in Scotland!! [Note to FitBit: It would be great if you had a setting for long/short vibrations, too.)
    — Limited apps and clock faces. I’m sure there will be more coming as this product line matures. Beware that some of the apps and clock faces have been repurposed from the squarer FitBit Ionic form factor, so they don’t quite fit.
    — Contactless Payments. There are very few UK banks supported. When I first bought my FitBit Ionic over two years ago they promised more banks were coming on board, not none have appeared. Check yours is supported if you think this is a showstopper.

Summary: If you want good sports / smartwatch and you’ve already chosen the FitBit family of products then this a good upgrade. If you’re not wedded to FitBit then check out similar watches in this price bracket before deciding.

Golden Review Award: 237 From Our UsersI LOVE this fitbit! Trying to get fitter and needed some motivation to get going so I thought I would treat myself to a new fitbit. And I am so glad I did! Firstly, the fitbit came with 60% battery charge so I could use it straight out of the box. It comes with both a small and a large strap. Unlike my previous fitbit, changing straps is super easy.
Very easy to connect to the app. Unfortunately one down side is needing to subscribe to the music providers to be able to add music, would be great if amazon music was included.
What I love is the simple activity tracker with the built in GPS. Im no marathon runner but being able to just head out the door without needing to carry my phone and just track with the watch is brilliant! The watch is very easy to navigate, GPS kicks in quickly and off you go. Once home it sends it over to the app so you can see a nice map of where you have been. Love the additional features that remind me to get up and move. Lots more features to explore further. All in all I’m very happy with it.
    6 Week Update
So since owning this fitbit I’m still very happy and super impressed!
The battery life is fantastic! Lasts for days, only needs a short charge to give it a decent amount of battery.
The best features is the ‘get active’ feature. I bought this fitbit to increase my activity level. Working at home and just being a bit lazy has seen my activity levels plummet, sometimes not even reaching 1000 steps per day (!) And I could feel my fitness levels have dropped. Once the fitbit knew my average daily step count, the get active feature has set me a challenge to increase my steps over 2 weeks, first to 4000 steps per day and now after achieving that I’m achieving 6600 steps per day as my next target. It has helped me learn how to add activity to my day, I’m not going out and having massive walks, I’m getting up and moving more around the house, getting up and walking for breaks during the day, doing running on the spot for 5 minutes etc. anything to up my step count and surprisingly I have realised I can achieve quite alot of steps in a relatively short period of time. Next I’m hoping to increase to 8000 steps per day which I already feel is achievable, and after that to hit the golden 10,000 per day. All on track to achieve this within 8 weeks or starting! It really has changed my life. I can also feel a real improvement in my fitness levels and I now have way more energy during the day and am sleeping much better at night.
