This GHD wand as with all GHD products ive ever owned is great. It doesnt take moments to warm up, its easy to use and comfortable weight to hold. My hair is almost down to my elbows so it takes a long time to curl with this using very thin strands, it takes around a hour so not something I will be doing regularly as its time consuming but its a great look.
The wand heats upto 185C very quickly, this temperature is great for thin sections of hair as it will not burn your hair. The cable pivots at the bottom of the wand to stop any kinks in the cable. Comes with a heat protectant glove to save those fingers.
This is a nicely weighted, comfortable to use curling iron that has the build quality you would expect from GHD.
Its corded but the cable is long enough to use without sitting over the plug socke
I’ve used these on a few occasions in the last month and they have been great. I already own the GHD soft curl tong which does an amazing job at creating a more subtle curl but sometimes I was after a more pronounced curl and these do the job great.
The build quality and packaging are very high quality and what you would expect from GHD. It’s really light so it’s very easy to manoeuvre to get the perfect angle to achieve the curl. It comes included with a pair of heat-resistant gloves which is good to have but personally, I don’t tend to use them. Like their straighteners, they heat up extremely quickly ~30 seconds. Paired with a little bit of hairspray the curls stayed the same shape all day.
I am very happy with them and I am sure they will get a lot of use over their lifetime. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a nice pronounced curl!
I find I can always rely on ghd. I think this is a fantastic wand that is very easy to use. It’s a thin wand so gives quite small curls if the hair is wrapped tightly around. I love the heat resistant glove that comes with the wand. It’s also great that it holds itself up above a surface when put down so there is no risk of burning/melting the table.
Curling wand by ghd is a quality product. Packed and made with attention to details. Black and gold packaging is looking expensive and classy. Perfect as a gift. Curling wand is fitting perfectly in the hand. It is black in colour with switch button. Simple to use – just plug in and switch on with button. Heating up really quick and curls hair within seconds. Curls are perfect and hold for a long time. It is a bit pricey but as with any ghd item well worth the money.
Although this curling wand is expensive, it is worth every penny. The product box is very stylish, black with gold lettering. The wand is slim and very easy to use, it heats up quickly and hair doesn’t get tangled around it. I have naturally wavy hair and this wand gives me beautifully defined curls, which hold their shape all day.

This curling wand is working really well. It is easy to use, feels comfortable in the hand to hold. Curling function works well, it doesn’t take much time to create curl. The cutlery is not too heavy so it doesn’t tired the hand while holding for longer time.
The cutler has adjustable heat temperature setting. It also has a function to turn off after 30 minutes of not use. This is amazing because I always stress out whether I turn off curler after use or not.
Overall, this curler works as expected, easy to curl hair and comfortable to use.
I have never used GHD products before so this was a new experience and i xan now understand why its so popular the brand definatly lives up to its name in qaulity and performance.
This wand comes in a nice box. The wand is very slim infact alot slimmer than i was expecting it to be. It is very compfortable to hold and lightweight.
Also included in the box is a heat glove to protect your hand and clips to section your hair and keep it in place while styling/curling your hair. I suprised however that a heat mat wasn’t included with the wand to protect you surfaces when you have to put it down between curls.
This wand produces tight professional curls very easily and they last a long time without dropping. The wand is so easy to use once you switch it on it starts to heat up instantly and is at full heat very quickly.
A great safety feature is that the wand has an auto shut off incase you accidently leave it switched on.
The wand comes with a simple to follow instruction booklet which I always suggest reading fully before first use.
Great quality product works better than expected and deffinatly better than using strainers to create curls.
I have naturally curly hair and pretty much the same cirm pattern that this curling wand creates! I know, why would I need to curl them then, right? Well sometimes my curls just don’t want to behave and I need something to get the bits that don’t want to, to curl!
This is good because the curler makes pretty much exactly the same curls that I have in my hair.
As it’s from GHD, it’s great quality. I have their straightener and have always been impressed with it. This is just as good!
It doesn’t take much to get a really good strong curl. Quite easy, but that’s only probably because I’m only curling very small sections of my hair. If you wanted to curl all your hair, it would take quite a long time!
ghd being in my opinion the best out there on the market have done it again with this brilliant curling wand! I have all the other products of ghd and hair straighteners so all i was missing was this wand. It has worked well and curles hold up well and i do expect this product to last a long time unlike other cheaper products offered by other brands that break down very quickly. If you’ve ever tried a GHD product then you know its quality. I don’t like to use anything else other than GHD as other brands just cant touch the quality, and performance of GHD. This wand comes in a nice presentation box. The wand itself is slim and sleek in design, it feels really nice in my hand and quite light. This curler gives tight professional curls effortlessly, leaving each curl with a smooth shine. The wand is so easy to use, it uses quick heat technology and can give curls from 3 seconds. The curler has a 14mm barrel and gives a long lasting curl definition. This curler benefits from 185C optimum styling temperature. Other good features include, protective cool tip and automatic sleep mode which is particularly handy knowing if you did forget to turn them off that you would still be kept safe.
This curler comes with an instruction booklet which is easy to follow but to be honest you dont really need it as its so simple to use – just switch it on and it makes a noise and lights up, there is then another noise to tell you its hot enough to use and then off you go! Another nice touch is it comes with a glove too. If you want a good quality curler that gives you fantastic frizz free curls with little effort and minimising the damage to your hair then these would be for you. I am so pleased with this and have to say, I’ve never been disappointed with this brand. Another great product!
The presentation of these is fantastic and would make such a lovely present, they arrive in a lovely strong black box complete with the branding on the exterior which looks really stylish.
Inside is the beautiful curling wand that is so sleek and elegant looking all in matte black. You receive a glove and clip so you have everything you need to get curling straight out the box. The wand heats up in no time and gets nice an hot. Once it is ready, you can start curling! The thin wand gives you the flexibility to adjust the curl size really well and the curl holds for such a long time.
These are a fantastic investment to make and I will no longer have the stress of spending hours trying to curl my hair.
So happy with this GHD curling want. I love how thin the wand is to make the curls smaller. I didn’t have to use the instructions at all I just plugged it in and went for it. I love the packaging its really luxurious. And it’s so lovely to hold it has like a matte grip on it. You also get a glove in the box but I never use those. The only downside is there aren’t any heat settings so it’s just one high heat. But apart from that for the price it’s not bad. Thankyou.
I’ve always wanted some GHD straighteners as I’ve heard good things about the brand, Unfortunately they’ve never been in my budget, so when I was offered these curlers, I was quite keen to try them.
I’ve used a few brands of curling wands before over the last 14 years or so, and I’ve never been overly keen, however, these are probably the quickest heating and most efficient I’ve ever used.
They are boxed (no travelling case supplied) and there’s a heat-resistant glove included (works well but a little small for my hand if I’m honest) and a user manual. The unit itself is very light, has a built-in tilting stand and to avoid any danger, the tip of the wand is heat resistant material.
It heats up in no time at all — less than 5 seconds- I was genuinely shocked by the speed. Not only quick heating but the curls needed no time to settle and lasted even without hairspray.
I was able to get more waved curls and also tight curls with this wand. Very impressive results. I know this is a brand known for being more-premium in quality and cost. I really can’t fault the results. Currently retailing at 139.00, I would expect a soft case included and the glove needed to be a little longer for me.

Heats up really quickly and has an noise indicator to let you know the product is on and ready to go.
Quite difficult to co-ordinate with hair but this should change with practice. I think this is more suited to thicker hair whereas as mine is quite fine and shoulder length.
When it curls they do stay in well and can see this being a very good product for the right type of hair. It does get quite hot so be careful not to burn fingers!
On the pricey side for what it is and other than the brand it’s not got anything groundbreaking compared to other lesser known brands, but it does feel good quality and I guess you have the brand backing.
My daughter was quite excited to try these out as she has very straight hair so after reading through the instructions she agreed to allow me to try them out on her hair. My daughter treated her hair with some argan oil heat defence spray to avoid heat damage and I started to curl her hair.
The wand has an illuminated power button and gives an audible tone when switched on and flashes until it reaches temperature, then gives another audible tone and the light remains on rather than flashing to indicate it is ready to use.
I had watched some usage videos beforehand so knew how it should be used, and was actually quite pleased on how easy it was to curl. It takes very little time to set the curl and with the wand you can fully wrap a long section of hair.
The curls sit nice and solid and stay well in place with a small amount of hair product. My daughter has been using this on her own and really loves it, and finds it is very easy in front of a mirror to curl all front sections although I have done the back for her on a few occasions since.
The curls stay in well and brush out to a soft curl. In my opinion the heat is good and not too harsh but does fix the curls well, and the swivel on the bottom for the cable works well avoiding any twisting or tangling with the cable.
Overall this is a high quality product with very clean finishing and attention to detail. I found them very easy to use and nice and easy to manipulate. My daughter has used them multiple times since they arrived and loves how she can put a nice long curl into her hair and finds them very easy to use. I like the safety feature of shutting off if they are on and not been used although in my opinion 30 minutes rather than 60 minutes would have been better. Overall I can’t really fault them, they do their intended task perfectly so have given top marks.
Where do I start. It comes very simplistic yet stylish in terms of packaging not a bad thing at all. Lovely gift idea.
Simply plug, press the one button and wait for the beep. It’s hot (really hot) within seconds.
I haven’t used the gloves in all fairness but equally haven’t burnt my fingers, ears or face (these times will come I’m sure). I usually do burn something within the first use. Again a good thing I haven’t.
I have long poker straight hair. It’s that poker straight I had a perm and the next day it was flat!! I struggle to hold onto curls no matter how much hairspray I use.
I’ve tried everything going to get some decent curls that actually last more than fives minutes. By the time I’ve got round my full head the first bit is flattening.
This is easy to use, quick to use and makes the most amazing bouncy curls. I can scrunch, spray and swoosh about and they don’t budge. I’ve slept in them and my hair looks fab the next day. I’ve combed it through and still get lovely waves.
I’ve tried it on my daughters hair whilst we’ve been away just to really put it to the test. The last picture is her hair having been out, slept on it, full day at the beach and at a soft play centre. It looks like a lovely tousled beach style hair which I love on her.
This is the easiest you’ll get in terms of use. Play about with which angle you hold it to suit the form of curl. The longer you hold it the tighter the curl I found. If you twist the section before wrapping you’ll get more of a corkscrew. If you wrap it round flat to the curler you’ll get a ringlet style. If you tu your finger through the ringlet you can separate into thinner curls.
My only recommendation if I had one would be to include a heat mat so you can lay it down without it damaging something but I would hands down recommend this to anyone.
Nice long flex to work at a dressing table or mirror.

I’ve had GHD straighteners for years, and always been pleased with the quality and longevity. I have fairly straight fine hair and on occasion I would like to add curls.
I was surprised at how long this curling wand was, compared to the old curling wands we used to get – it’s very long and thin, producing quite tight curls if required (it’s up to you how tightly you wrap your hair around the wand, so you can have tight curls or looser ones).
It heats up fast, and is soon ready to use. It comes well presented in a quality box so would make a lovely gift if you fancy splashing out on someone!
Like all hair tools, it takes a few goes to get used to the best way to use it – but pretty soon you’ll have a head full of pretty curls using this.
As it’s GHD I am expecting many years of use out of this wand. And going by my previous experience with the brand, I won’t be disappointed.
I have high hopes for GHD products and this one did not fail to meet my expectations. It comes in lovely packaging as always and is presented beautifully which always makes GHD items a nice gift. It is super light weight but it doesnt feel cheap at all it feels super sturdy and nice to hold. The finish on the item is wonderful and when you turn it on and off I like the added touch of the light and noise which make it feel more premium to me.
I struggled a bit to begin with as I usually use tongs not wands but once you get the technique right it’s great! Lovely tight curls which can then loosen throughout the day if you wish or if not put plenty of hairspray! I adore the effect it gives on the hair, just remember to use small sections.
I already own 2 ghd products. Wide plate and slim plate straighteners. I’ve had them for years and they were worth the investment so when I saw this curling wand was in the vine programme I couldn’t say no!
They offer everything you expect from ghds. Heat up quickly, get hot (and I mean HOT) and do the job probably more efficiently than any other product on the market.
I think it would be nice if you got an instruction booklet with some tips given the high price point, especially because it is advertised you can get various styles from them. Although there are plenty of instruction videos and tutorials on YouTube.
A word of warning they get exceptionally hot. The protective glove is ok but really only helps if you brush against them rather than being able to handle the barrel for too long. The tip of the barrel isn’t hot so you can hold that bit when curling. You really do need to take care when handling them.
I would also say I struggled to get the end of my hair curled as I didn’t want to burn my hand but I think this will come with practice.
If you want a really good curling wand go for it. As with all GHD products, you really do get what you pay for.
I think these curling tongs may well be the best I’ve ever used! They have a long, slim barrel (7″ in length, 1.4cm) ideal for any length hair where you want tighter, more defined curls – best to opt for tongs with a thicker barrel if you want soft waves or volume but there’s scope for achieving looser curls with these tongs (especially if you have fine hair) if you tweak the angle that you wrap your hair and the way you position the tongs.
The overall length of the wand is much longer than I was expecting (16″) but the tongs aren’t particularly heavy so they actually feel very comfortable and easy to curl with. The other thing is the barrel is completely smooth and snag-free so your hair just glides through them wonderfully. My hair looks really smooth and shiny after using these tongs and the curls are well-defined and stay put throughout the day. I think they’re brilliant; I already use GHD straighteners and these tongs are the same high standard I’m accustomed to. Very happy.

I have a certain expectation when it comes to GHD products — I expect a good hair day after use and thankfully this curler doesn’t disappoint.
Out of the box, I was genuinely surprised as just how thin the curler was — I know it’s got thin wand in the name but certainly the thinnest I’ve ever owner. I’ve got quite thin hair and it’s a natural pairing to these wand — producing some really tight curls that are really defined and bounce with volume.
Like all GHD products, they’re made to be almost instinctively useable and super simple. With only one button on the curls and a set temperature of 185C, the curler couldn’t be any simpler to use which is great; no faff and straight to curls.
They heat up within seconds too, which I guess is also almost expected and look feel premium. It’s an understated but premium design, with the little finishes like the logo’s positioned, flushing of silver colour and light ring around the power button really going a long way to finish off the design of the curler.
Overall I’m incredibly impressed, could recommend and will be using them as part of my daily routine.
