I bought this because I could. I don’t play games, so don’t need the sort of boost a gpu can give. But I bought it anyway. It comes in moderately handy when I edit and cook my lecture videos – though it reduces cooking time from twenty minutes to six, which makes it less than an essential item of computer hardware for me.
On the fully positive side, it was very easy to fit, and it is about the best gpu that will fit into the smaller Lenovo machines. Therefore, five stars.
Parcel came on time in Amazon packaging with original GT 1030 box inside of course. Legit product that’s easy to install and works great. Fits perfectly in Dell Optiplex 7010 SSF. Up to 216fps on Valorant low settings. 140fps average. 110fps Minimum. CPU: Core i5 3570k.
I have’nt used it for gaming at present so cant comment on that but it is very easy to install came well packaged on time specified no issues
Not too expensive power pack and will last for a while
great little unit the GDDR5 GT1030 is. this is my go-to for any new rig. can’t complain about the price with the way the GPU market is right now.
iI use it for Cyber security tasks and sometimes for gaming and it works well. if you overclock it it gives you better performance and it could be useful depending on the situation. great thing!
No cables needed, Is nice and quite and can handle older games at 1080 medium and some newer games on the lowest settings. Got this for my dad to play classics and it works wonders. Highly recommend for budget or smaller builds
18 Months ago I upgraded my old machine with a new MOBO, processor, graphics card and an SSD. I kept the old MOBO and its 10 year old AMD Phenom 2.7 gig processor and 4 MB of ram and this week put it in an old SFF Antec Aria case that I had lying around – the objective being to create another machine for the grandchildren to use to play World of Warships when they visit. Of course, it was unplayable using the system’s integrated graphics as the frame rate was about 10 per second. So I bought this graphics card making the choice on the basis of the power consumption and size (the Aria PSU is only 300 Watts and there’s very little space in the case).
I’m delighted with the results – it’s producing a frame rate of 76 per second on the high quality setting so I’ve got a gaming PC (for the sort of games that I play) for only a bit over 100.
This GPU thankfully done the job for me updating my Dell Inc. OptiPlex 7010 DT so I can play EVE online.
A bit grainy if that makes any sense so I am going to have to learn to tweak if possible with this GPU ?
The onboard GPU was lagging and jumping and took 3 weeks just to dock a ship !
Runs smooth and picture is good and some instance’s of the game show better than others I am happy with it finely, also I cant hear a sound from the PC very quiet indeed.
I am using the DELL OPTIPLEX 7010 DT 3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i7-2600-16 GB RAM
PS: the size of this card is perfect for fitting with other cards in the slots as it is very small compered to other big balky cards I have see
There is nothing wrong with this card, it’s not a new cutting edge item. I bought this to keep an 5 year old system running whilst waiting to see if hardware prices will fall form what looks like an all time high. I was about to commit to a full rebuild when my Asus card failed. On checking prices and availabity of products this was among the cheapest and also available. Accept the card for what it is and don’t try and run the latest and greatest games and all will be well. Very fast service from seller – arrived within 24 hours well packaged and sealed. All good for games like Stranded Deep & Green Hell – Will handle Fallout 4 on reduced settings. Can’t complain for 114.00 at this moment in time.
This card is roundly ridiculed for it’s price and relative performance among “gamers”, so in purchasing you might want to consider how much of a gamer you are? If you want to play the latest title at full rez, full fps, while spouting 3lite obscenities to other teenagers around the globe, definitely look elsewhere. If you look on youtube it will be roundly dismissed, however it does have a place and a pricepoint – it’s advantages are: it’s small, it’s doesn’t need a fan [silent], it doesn’t need much power and it fits in smaller enclosures. It adds HDMI and runs 720/1080/4K video without fuss. It’ll double the performance of modest integrated graphics such as Intel HD 4600 – which is the reason it sits in my cheap ex-office pc. It’s easier to find better preforming cards, but they are much larger, more power hungry and, well do you need it? You might – but, this’ll easily throw you into the wonderful world of Fable or Fallout in hi-def and 60fps, so In my book, that’s a decent investment.
I bough this as a present for my Son, at his request, he is over the moon with it. He wants it for gaming, he told me it was easy to install and great value for money!! Prompt delivery too.
I bought a 4k monitor for my PC without realising that the existing display adaptor could not handle anything more than 1920 x 1200. I was pointed in the direction of one of these as a replacement. After a rapid learning curve, I managed to replace the existing graphics card with this, install the drivers from the supplied disc and, hey presto, I can now view my new monitor in 4k mode.
The installation was fairly straightforward, there was a minor glitch with a sort of blue screen of death during the process – but it does not seem to have lingering effects. There was also a heart stopping moment when it when through the ‘checking system compatibility’ phase and I worried “what if it is incompatible?”. Overall, I am more than happy with it (so far).
Good graphics card, bought to play CSGO and older COD games, works well, best value for the price. Make sure you order the DDR5 version like mine not the DDR4 which is half the speed for not much less.
Added this to an 8 year old Dell Optiplex with a Core i3, 4GB RAM, SSD and only a 250w power supply in a small form factor case. Runs Fortnite, Minecraft, Lego Worlds and other games on high settings extremely well. No complaints so far. Recomended if you have an old pc that you have lying around and want to transform it into a low end gaming PC.
Time to upgrade my aging Quadro 600 and have a sff Dell 7010 so limited on space and power, fitted no problem with a little cable management and even with the fan is virtually silent, great upgrade and got photoshop 2021 running with GPU support again 🙂
The graphics card arrived the next day in the afternoon which was great.
I’ve tried a few graphic cards with my new system running a b450 pro-f motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600x windows 10 64bit and was quite disheartened thinking I’d never get a graphic card that was compatible with my machine….then I brought this card packaged with a cd which checks if the software on the cd is the latest, installs quickly, restarted the machine brilliant. The card is narrow so it doesn’t over hang the accompanying pci-e slot, which i found with other cards…in addition it has a fan. The price is just right as well.
I gave it 4 stars because it does not have a VGA connection,(which I had to buy an adapter separately) other than that, I am now able to play most of my old games which I am delighted with.
For older systems that need a boost up, and if you can run this instead of a GT710 then this is a cracking card, it does not require a lot of power, 29W in fact, and gives your system a much-needed boost when it comes to office work and low end games alike.
Great for gaming and multi tasking but for video rendering not so good as it is not nvanc compatable it dont show up in obs studio even thow this card is faster than my old gt 730 for gaming im afraid that my old one is better i have a gt 730 gddr3 version i bought the gddr5 version gt 1030 would be better in every way it is fast for gaming and multitasking but it is rubbish for video rendering its not nvanc compatable i have a streaming pc and i need a better gpu for faster video rendering this one dont cut it my old one is better which i paid 60 for the gt 1030 is 80 and is not worth it if you use your pc for streaming or recording do not buy the gt 1030
Installation was a breeze, I fired up a few games tested Firewatch, Guild Wars 2, Bioshock, Gone Home all in 1080p and very smooth. I was honestly quite surprised considering the price. It is an absolute steal and perfect for those that are on a budget who maybe won’t want to spend more than 100 just for a graphics card.
Installed with no issue in my slimline HTPC. Purchased the card to improve light weight gaming performance, as I was just using onboard from an AMD A10-7850K. The product description didn’t specify that a low profile bracket came with it, so as an add on for 1.99 I ordered one. The bracket is easily replaced so have no fear if yoou have not done it before. Its as simple as removing a screw, removing the bracket, adding a new bracket and screwing it on. The card works as expected and with it having a passive cooler, it makes no noise. The only other downside is that low profile cards seem to cost more than a full size card with the same benchmark score.
Bought it for my daughter’s Dell Optiplex 7010 sff PC. It runs games she plays with no issues: League of Legends, Minecraft, Plants vs Zombies 1 & 2 and few more. It may struggle with more demanding titles but I have not tested it as there is no need. For my daughter’s pc , this was a better option than 1050Ti (that I have in another 7010 serving as a projector multimedia source and gaming station) as 1030 was nearly half price compared.
Bought it to watch 4k video with an i5 2400, works perfectly, easy to install *you might need to disable current gpu before installing this one* (took me ages to find that out)
I wasn’t able to fit the low profile bracket thing, all the screwdrivers just kept spinning and wouldn’t get purchase… Didn’t want to break it so the case isn’t properly closed now which is annoying but I have a decent 4k media hub
Great little card for a cramped PC. Obviously not very fast for modern games, but quite sufficient for Fortnite and games like that where fancy graphics aren’t the main attraction. Cooling can be a bit tricky in cramped cases, I had to drop the power curve a little bit for this card since the case was too hot and caused the PC to start rebooting itself.
I bought one of these to go in my render server as it was to just allow 4k on a header less server however it can decode h265 it cannot encode h265 or hevc or nevnc. However it can play games reasonably and it does give me decent enough timeline performance if I need to add a tweak to a colour grade and my editing machine is already on another project.
Let me tell you for this price there’s not better GPU than this one.
EMULATION: ABOUT EVERY SYSTEM FROM NES, ALL THE WAY TO PS2 WITH UPSCALING AND ANTIALIASING. 60FPS EASY.
GAMING: IF YOU DONT MIND PLAYING AT MEDIUM SETTINGS 1080P THAN YOU WILL RUN ABOUT EVERY SINGLE GAME FROM OLD TO RECENT. (Sometimes you might have to play with the settings little bit, but that’s easily done).
Video Editing and Music Producing for me Not a problem at all, I am using FinalCut and Reason but I am not hardcore in that department so I’m not sure how it would do for the more skilled “HARDCORE” editors. But than again if you are “HARDCORE” like that, than you dont go for this GPU, You go for at least 1080TI OR THE 2080.
A decent gaming card to upgrade for the near latest online games or use for digital graphics on an older computer. Quiet, smooth replay and decent graphics, most games look and flow quite well. As long as you have a decent monitor this is a decent upgrade without a fan… Just don’t push it too hard up the scale.
This video card is pretty good value for your money. It has respectable performance, and very low power consumption. If you are a gamer who wants to play all games in 4K and on full details, this one is not for you. But if you mostly need CPU power and not much of GPU power, this card is a very good choice. Even for gaming it is very solid – games like War Thunder, GTA V or Kerbal Space Program are not a problem in full HD. You can expect around 45 FPS in mentioned games on full details in HD (of course when paired with powerful CPU).
Bought this for the family’s fanless media PC. I wanted a card that could handle moderate gaming and fit into a small form-factor case. It delivered on all fronts. The fan can be heard when playing some games but it’s not intrusive. The fan is silent when watching HD movies. It may struggle with the more demanding games but it has no problem with the likes of Doom3 at high res settings.
Used this to turn an old Lenovo desktop into a low-end gaming PC. Runs fortnite etc fine without breaking a sweat.
Perfect for the 8-year-old getting this as his first PC.
I recently treated myself to a 4K monitor but didn’t realise that my pc graphic card struggled to output in anything higher than 1080p – this was recommended as a solution – took all of 10 minutes to install and install drivers and works perfectly – videos, 4K youtube are perfect keep and eye on price though as it seems to fluctuate:-/
There are 2 groups of consumers for this product: casual gamers and 4K video enthusiasts. Both of them should be impressed by this card performance.
When it comes to games, make sure you read the benchmarks first. This is a card which will allow you playing titles like Rocket League or DOTA 2 in 1080p with 60 fps or more. All that in absolute silence. For about 80 it’s a must-have, unless you plan on playing fresh AAA titles. Those will require at least 1050 Ti for almost twice that price.
Media is where this card fully shows its purpose: it handles 4K 60fps video files faster than any TV box out there. 90GB file with 10-bit color & HDR? Not even a challenge. More than that, the card won’t even heat up when playing them for several hours straight (!) This makes it perfect for any noiseless & future-proof HTPC, even the slimmest of them (low profile bracket included).
Installation takes just a moment and the drivers work perfectly, providing you the latest Nvidia software for both playing and recording the gameplay. The screen is recognized instantly and correctly, no matter if it’s a 1080p monitor or 4K TV. The image is crisp and clear, colors vivid, there are no issues with image refreshing or scaling.
So why this one from all silent GTs 1030 out there? At first you cut out the GDDR4 versions (almost 3 times lower memory bandwidth), then the MSI GDDR5 version (almost 20 more for HDMI + DisplayPort instead of HDMI + DVI is nonsense). You’re left with Asus, Gigabyte or EVGA. Similar clockspeeds, same height heatsinks, not much to differ them. There are no bad choices from here, although the Gigabyte’s heatsink looks like the biggest of them, reaching almost to the I/O bracket. That’s why I finally picked this one and I highly recommend to do as well.
Summary: decent card for less demanding games and an absolute beast in 4K media playback. Full performance and none of the noise. Great addition to any iGPU PC or HTPC!
Only just installed this so time will tell on how my system responds to it, but it runs both my asus 24inch gaming monitors with no issue and will output 4k to my tv with no issues at all. The card was easy to install but the software and drivers did take a while but so far has settled nicely. Will try and do some games soon to test it out properly. Apart from that a nice budget graphics card.
This is a straight forward, no fuss graphics card that’s a bit faster than the on-board graphics and more importantly doesn’t consume any cpu or memory resources. It’s easy to fit and just works. No drama, open the case, plug it in, close case and fire her up.
Bought this card to upgrade an ancient Dell Inspiron 530 to be able to run windows 10. Performs just fine for regular tasks like streaming video online but I wouldn’t be buying this for any serious gaming. (Although it did run Fortnite on the lowest settings when paired with a crappy Core2Duo and 4GB of DDR2 memory which is way below the minimum requirements). Good value for money for the purpose I needed it for.
I have an 8 year old PC. It has i5 processor at approx 3.2GHz and 8GB RAM. The onboard Intel graphocs would only go up to 1920 * 1080. To play 1080p video with a high bitrate source would kind of max out the PC processor. So I added this card (takes like 5 mins to do max in my PC’s PCI Express slot [the slots came in like 15 years ago so relatively new PCs should have them]) and bingo: display adaptor settings now go up to a native 4K and playing high bitrate 4K content barely takes the PC processor to 15% of max.
The card’s HDMI is 2.0 and HDCP enabled meaning you get 4K on your TV, or in my case a projector. In 4K I’ve never seen such sweet looking content!
Great upgrade for my PC and viewing for little money!
After all these years of using integrated graphics, I finally have graduated from potato gaming. Playing games in max settings is bliss for me. I only play e-sports title so its perfect for me. Definitely would recommend this GPU. Changing the LP bracket was a bit difficult than I imagined, had to buy some tools. But overall, its a great started GPU.
Wow, far exceed my expectations Gen 10 GPU for 65!!, If you don’t want to upgrade your PSU and or you’re case is low profile then this is the card for you.
This card will run anything you throw at it in 1080p even on high settings. I was able to overclock the ddr5 vram by 25% and the GPU by 10% and it all runs stable, totally blown away.
This is a very good graphics card and works well. However in Win 10 there is a problem with the software which is most annoying as on bootup a fault window is produced. This would appear to be a problem with the software and Win 10. At present there is not NVIDIA update to remedy the fault. In conclusion great card let down by a software problem.
Installed and working (“so far”) just waiting for a new display to attach to it. No Display port, but it does have DVI-D and HDMI, which will likely do. Completely silent. Installation was a doddle ONCE I REALISED they had blocked both ports, and the PCI-E connector too, with ‘protector’ pieces of plastic (I wasn’t expecting the one on the PCI-E connector!).
Win7 took 10 minutes to download half a Gb (!) of drivers, and my desktop got put through the blender, layout-wise, but the result is faster than the Intel i5 on-board GPU (one would hope so) and should handle a 4K display (I don’t plan to game, I just like a lot of desktop space).
This card is much better than I expected. I bought this a temporary card after coming from a 1050ti and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to game like I used to. But so far I have tried rocket league, pubg and vermintide 2 and been so impressed.
Rocket league gets a solid 60fps with the settings reduced slightly but need further reducing for 4v4.
PUBG gets 60fps dropping slightly on very low and some low settings.
Vermintide 2 gets 40-45fps and doesn’t drop below 30 on medium settings.
I’ve now decided to wait a while before upgrading as this can play games as long as you don’t mind lower settings. No stuttering or massive drops in frame rate.
Overclocked is possible and easy. I’ve got it to +250mhz on the core and +650mhz on the memory. Making it over 7gbps and on this card gives a big boost. Sadly this also increases the temperature a fair bit and in my poorly cooled case it gets to 81c. It’s perfectly safe and I’m comfortable with this but some people prefer a cooler card.
For the 65 I paid I’m impressed and very happy with the performance.
Bought this to upgrade an old slim form factor pc with a 250w psu.
Comes fitted with a standard bracket but with a low profile one in the box.
Had to update my mobo bios to get the card recognised but was plug & play other than that.
I run this with a 3.3ghz i3 and it works great for medium gaming at 720p.
Will do in this second machine until these crazy gpu prices settle down, although even the price of this one has increased since I bought it a month ago!
I bought myself a game which would not play with my on board graphics. When I installed this graphics card the improvement in speed and quality was unbelievable. I did need to buy an upgrade cable as the card does not support VGA but both it and my monitor support DVI D. I also bought a DVI D to HDMI converter for the monitor so I can connect it via HDMI, both work well. Another advantage card is that it has a large heat-sink so does not need more noisy and power hungry fans
This is a replacement for my ageing AMD Radeon HD3870 and is an amazing improvement. It’s quieter (silent), uses less power, takes up less space and is very well priced for the specs – for me it fills a huge gap in the graphics card market. It also has 2 video outputs which is essential for me – the Radeon has two DVI ports, this has one DVI and one HDMI so I had to buy an adapter lead but at 5.50 no big deal. I don’t play high-end games but I do a fair amount of video editing/conversion. The processor on this card kicks in to assist my 4 core Phenom II 965 CPU on these jobs (a welcome surprise to me) and has dramatically reduced the time needed for them. Excellent value for money.
if you require a reasonable GPU for older games and home theatre applications this is a solid graphics card.
the passive heatsink will take up two spaces on the motherboard, overheating is not a problem as far as I can tell. stress test on war thunder for hours shows no signs of problems.
however, if you require a futureproof graphics card for gaming you will require at least a 4gb card well above this price range.
This card went in my refurbished HP Elite 8300 SFF pc and for the money has been flawless so far. Don’t expect it to cope with 1080p maxed out settings. It handles games at a lower res just fine, I haven’t found anything yet it struggles with but it has its limitations which can be minimised with tweaking in game settings.
If you are on a super tight budget and you need something that will fit in a SFF pc and not draw to much power this is the card for you.
Bought one of these for my HTPC, for such use it gets four stars because:
1) Silent, the card is fanless so no fan noise.
The passive heat sink is well designed, it covers the whole card so even the voltage regulator modules get cooled. There are spaces between the fins both horizontally and vertically so this will help air flow whichever orientation it is in your PC case.
2) The card comes with both full size and low profile mounting plates. You will need a small socket to unscrew the DVI cable screw connectors as these also hold the card to the mounting plate
3) The card has a dual-link DVI-D connector and an HDMI 2.0b port. No DisplayPort so if you want this connection checkout other brands as some of these have a DisplayPort instead of the DVI-D connector. The DVI-D output has no analog signal so to connect to a VGA monitor you will need an active DVI-D to VGA Adapter. Would have given it five stars if the DVI port had been a DVI-Integrated dual link so you could connect to VGA without an adaptor.
4) Support for 4K output at 60Hz so can be used with 4K TVs.
For media playing PC’s or small form factor PC’s that don’t have or what to upgrade the installed half height (Low profile) card;
Buy it!
With the supplied and highly regarded OC software, you can overclock safely. Run a GPU stress tester to check your settings.
I have a media PC (Acer X3300) as my XPS Laptop died. I have upgraded the media PC with RAM, SSD and SATA III. LOL. This was the best card I could find for the money and being able to fit it in one slot close to the case.
If you can fit a full height card; don’t buy it, buy at least a 1060!
Cheers,
Spitfire_6
Bought as an upgrade for the integrated HD530 on a Pentium G4500 dual-core machine that had come into my possession. Fits perfectly in the small footprint Lenovo M800 case and seems to work fine with the 210w PSU. Couldn’t really hear the GPU fan over the CPU fan.
Not being much of a gamer, I didn’t have much to test it with, but WoW was getting 60FPS+ at recommended settings (level 5) in 1920×1200, and still returned 30FPS+ on Ultra (admittedly not in a particularly intensive part of the game). Other games such as Borderlands 2 ran without any noticeable slow down. Half Life, TF2, GTA: SA etc… all ran maxed out at 60FPS+ at 1920×1200.
SETI@home also went from 30GFLOPS to 87GFLOPS for GPU tasks (extremely limited testing – only 3 GPU tasks), which is probably consistent with what I’ve seen frame rate wise ~ 3x the performance over the HD530.
For 70 I’m surprisingly pleased, other cards would provide increased performance (1050 etc…) but I would’ve had to upgrade the PSU, and the processor would’ve started to bottleneck – so in the ethos of a bargain basement entry to gaming I’m suitably impressed. Would recommend, but check out the YouTube review videos to see if it ticks your boxes.
Windows 10 detected the card and installed drivers no problem. Includes both a a low profile and full size back plate, took literally no time at all to swap round and install.
good Card , does great on Some modern games like Bf1 : yeah it doesn’t have the X behind the name But performance is still great. I have two now , although they don’t crossfire they can be manually adjusted by NVidia drivers to work on other areas like 1 for graphics and the other for physics
Although I have Gigabyte graphic cards in my other PCs this one was not as easy to install the drivers as I expected. I inserted the driver disc and was then presented with the usual `auto run` which then told me that I needed an internet connection and to proceed with installing the drivers, which I did. It took a while to download them only to tell me that there was a problem, something was corrupted in the download, I tried a few times but got the same result. I had to uninstall what had downloaded because I was getting error messages and I could not choose the resolution I wanted. The way I got around it was to directly download the correct drivers from Nvidia site and run them, it now works fine just as it should, I`ve just given this card 4 stars because of the problem I had, I would purchase one again knowing how best to install the drives.
Easy to install and gave my son’s PC a real boost when playing “No Man’s Sky” etc. The lack of a VGA output is a nuisance but I have an adapter for that and for the price worth getting if you have the room and since it’s passive cooling only, no noise either.
Good value update for Dell XPS 8500. Very easy to fit and no problems with configuration. Clearly not designed for full-on gamers but for general use seems like a decent buy. Replaced existing AMD Radeon which was equally a good card but I was tempted to ‘upgrade’ to one with a newer config and the 2gb of memory. Also the budget price on Amazon. I can now make better use of RAW processing using my Olympus Viewer 3 software (but really it’s not massively different to what the AMD offered).
The user interface is hideous and clunky compared with the AMD but it does what it’s supposed to do.
There have been plenty of reviews about this graphics card from the perspective of, ‘it’s not as powerful as the blah blah blah’. That’s not the point of this card. This card was produced to meet the demands of people who have a small form factor case with a low power supply unit. This is my problem, and for this reason, I bought this card. And it has far exceeded my expectations. It also seems to be far exceeding the expectations of many people. For me especially I have a 280w PSU, the minimum stated for this card is 300w, it runs fine on my machine and I am constantly checking temperatures. It’s also quiet, I mean I can’t hear it quiet! and I have it overclocked! Great value for money and great performance.
I have a small refurbished Dell Optiplex 780 so wasn’t spoiled for choice when choosing a new graphics card, but this one is fantastic! My computer went from not being able to run any game made after 2012 to running them faster than my xbox 360 can (on low-medium settings, which still look great so idk why anyone bothers having them any higher…) so the graphics card itself: 5 stars.
I’m giving this 4 stars because the bracket that was attached the the graphics card was made for a larger pc than mine, and you need a wrench+screwdriver to change it to the smaller one (which is included in the box). Before you wonder why this would be an issue, I’m a college student living in dorms so I don’t own a wrench, and had to go out and buy one which was a huge pain for me personally, just because of where I live and how much money I have. If it came with neither bracket attached that wouldn’t have been a problem.
ALSO when the box arrived it the post, it was the box you see in the picture with a packing label on it and it was open, which really rubbed me the wrong way. The card was it there and works great so I didn’t bother pursuing anything.
Anyway, card is great but the packaging needs to be worked on.
I bought card this to give my Dell Inspiron 545ST (slim-line desktop) a new lease of life. The card comes with a standard full height case bracket attached but also includes the slim-line bracket in the box. It only takes a couple of minutes to swap the bracket and then you’re ready for installation. Before installing the card I ran the standard Windows 7 performance check on my old card (Radeon HD4550) which registered a Desktop Graphics score of 4.9 and Gaming graphics score of 5.2 (all figures out of a maximum 7.9). After installing the GT 1030 card and downloading the latest driver from NVIDIA my system registered a Desktop Graphics score of 7.7 and Gaming graphics score 7.7.
Needless to say I’m very happy with this performance boost for relatively little money.
Additionally, my case only has a 120w PSU and this card works a treat!
Worked straight out of the box, it was perfect for a pc I was building for a friend. It can run many games like rocket league, csgo, league of legends and more at max setting 1080p, however some games will need to be dropped to 720 to keep them stable. The best thing about this card is the power consumption of 35 watts, meaning it does not need external power connectors and it stays cool, keeping the fans quiet.
Another great card from nvidia!
Great card for a HTPC. Comes with low profile and regular brackets, and only takes up one expansion slot. I bought this for my living room PC which is using a Haswell CPU which seems unable to output at 4K. This card has solved that as it works flawlessly at 4K resolution and also offloads all video decoding from the CPU. The fan never comes on, it would if gaming I suppose, but I wouldn’t buy this card for gaming!
It is actually useless for 3D gaming, unless you’re still on a 1024×768 monitor!
A fantastic little card. The GT 1030 provides enough graphical power to play most games at medium settings (at 1080p) and is very good at eSports games.
The heat sink is quite bulky, taking up two slots internally, but the bracket only occupies one. As it’s passively cooled (and it’s only 30W TDP) it is silent. You also don’t need a beefy PSU, obviously, and it doesn’t require an extra PCIe power connection so it provides a welcome upgrade from Intel’s integrated graphics with very little hassle.
The card comes with a low-profile bracket if you’re going to be installing this into those slim cases (like many Dells for example) but the standard height bracket is fitted by default.
If you’re an occasional gamer like me, then this card is perfect. Immensely more capable than integrated/on-board graphics and it doesn’t cost much either. Love it.
