What is the difference between the FAMILY Plus, A Plus, A Plus Duo, A Plus Trio and the FAMILY Plus HX?
The FAMILY Plus connects to your telephone line. The FAMILY Plus A adds an answering machine. The FAMILY Plus HX connects to an existing DECT base station. The FAMILY A Duo and Trio own more than one handset and an answering machine each.
Can I adjust the call volume on the Gigaset FAMILY Plus?
Yes, the call volume can be adjusted at any time using the handy control button on the side of the handset.
Can I suppress anonymous callers?
Yes, if you wish, the Gigaset FAMILY Plus can suppress the ringtone of incoming anonymous calls and only signal them on the display – so you are not disturbed.

Work almost like my 10 yo Gigaset pair (nearly the same software) and were just an update as my ISP changed us to a digital (internet) phone-line.
My ‘other half needs a Speakerphone all the time as Mobi’s are too tinny/low quality to hear properly.
The only tech. extras were a MUCH louder but adjustable built-in handset speaker (too loud really) and the ability to screen/withold no caller ID and own number etc. A revamped screen with ‘analogue’ only display clock which looks really good.
The built-in answer machine is 30 minutes fixed and not the 15/45 minutes also unable to chop/limit message length that I had with my old Gigaset. Nor can It cannot be adjusted for bitrate 96/192Kbs

The display may look a little ‘retro’ but it’s bright and colourful.
The sound quality could be a little crisper but I got this mainly for the belt clip which is an essential for me and my family. Bought one for myself and gifted one to my mother. Overall happy.

Very pleased with this telephone set. Looks good with an attractive clock face. I am elderly and hard of hearing and use hearing aids. The superb tone and volume range makes it easy to hear. My previous phone although pretty efficient was no way near clear as this set. Using the phone now is a pleasure with the ease of hearing. It arrived on time, was well packed and easy to install. I purchased the product in the Spring Sale and considered the price to be a bargain.
Good system that works well. Only downside is that the buttons are a little small but they are manageable.
I’ve had these for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with them so far. They were easy to set up, work very well, are simple to use and I like how they look. Good quality feel to them also.

These are impressive phones which look very stylish. I bought these digital phones as my Internet provider offers a digital voice service which allows a DECT phone to connect wirelessly with their Router. After changing to Full Fibre to the premise, I no longer have a land line and so phones without this capability would require the base station to be plugged into the router. This in effect dictates where the base station is situated. By pairing wirelessly with the router I am free to position the base station anywhere within WiFi range in the house. I can have multiple directories stored on the router and available to both or even more phones. There are no instructions in the manual on how to pair with a DECT enabled router but this is very simple, Do not plug the base station into any phone socket, simply use the register function on each phone and press the DECT button on the router. I recommend doing this close to the router. By the way BT are scheduling the Big Switch Off of landlines by 2025

This new Gigaset is excellent, and it has replaced my old one which was first class but this is more modern it works with same ease of use
We had previously owned an earlier version of the Gigaset phone which had been good.
The sound quality of calls with this Gigaset phone is much better than the BT was, even before the BT handset packed up..
Unfortunately the call screening is less advanced than BT’s, but if you can’t hear callers on the handset, advanced screening doesn’t count for much anyway, so the Gigaset phone is an improvement on that aspect.
One area the Gigaset could improve on would be to enable mass import of contacts, which it appears have to be done individually, which is a real faff anyone can do without.
But all in all, the phone system seems pretty good.
Bought this when the Panasonic system did not arrive.
It is OK nightmare to set up snd gave up with many of the features.
Probably regret the purchase.

Nice, stylish, modern design with excellent sound quality, very good range between the phone and the base station. It has a good range of features and a quality feel to it. Very please with my purchase.
The only niggle I have with this handset and answerphone is that the light on the handset is white and the one on the answerphone is orange which makes it look as if it has been cobbled together from different units. I do, however, still like and prefer the package to many others which were often more expensive.
