Bought for my son, no idea why but he seems happy with i
I used this on some old gloves just to see how good it was and was impressed with it I would use agai
Bought this for my sons birthday! He used it straight away and was happy with how it restored (become more grippier) his old gloves that were worn and latex wearing down. Wont be applying to gloves until latex starts to wear, although that’s just personal choice
I had issues on my motorbike seat being super slippy and wanted something to cover my seat to stop the problem. Luckily I looked online and saw a review for use on motorbike seats. It worked brilliantly and even use it on my leather trousers around the inside thigh and knee for grip when riding. Reapply after washing my bike …. highly recommend
I use bam and then this stuff on my sons gloves .Makes them very sticky .Add to gloves 1 hour before a match .
Have used glove glu for a while and it does help with grip expecially on older gloves that I’m trying to get as much life out of as possible, I find applying a couple of times during a game helps with grip of the gloves
The spray worked even in a very wet match for my so
Well this was all new to me, as kids we soar on our gloves done the trick, apparels nowadays there is this glove glue, well my daughter thinks it’s the best thing since sliced bread and has helped her save many of goals, it comes to every training session and match (limited this year) so yes going by her review this is the next best thing if your a goalie no saliva required.. perfec
Use this for every game I play and you can tell it works. I have some old gloves that had no grip at all. After a few sprays they where like brand new gloves for the grip. I bought some new gloves and only use this if its a dry day at half time to give me that little but extra grip.
Came a week earlier than expected, and made the old tired gloves have a good grip, although covid-19 has somewhat hindered the beginning of the season, need more games to thoroughly test it ou
A brilliant product. Having used this for the past couple of seasons to a semi professional level I would recommend to any goalkeeper of all ages and standard. A strong grip on the ball giving your gloves that edge no matter the age
Exactly what I was looking for. I use high quality gloves and this can make your gloves too sticky to throw out but awesome at sky sports saves. Don’t over use it is the key. Will make cheap gloves seem a lot better. The bottle doesn’t take much punishment so either put into a different bottle or keep safe near your goal.
Great price, WORKS REALLY WELL. Long lasting. When I pick the football out of the back of the net, it’s much faster for me to turn around and get the abuse from my team out the way. If you’re a good keeper, I’ll assume you’ll love this product. (I’m hoping one day to catch the ball)
My son sprays this on before a match and it certainly makes the gloves extra sticky.
He appears happy with it and I expect for how often we use it, there should be enough for more than a season.
This makes a significant difference to the grip on my gloves a few sprays before the game and it will last till the end although I usually do another spray at half time for good measure
Does the job, lasts well, great for old/training gloves
Can make the ball a bit sticky (although this only affects the trainer/coach who’s Picking up the ball with bare hands)
I was very sceptical buying this but I am so glad that I did now! Having used it for the first time yesterday it really rejuvenated the gloves I have been wearing weekly for the last couple of months now.
Very easy to apply, I can tell already that the bottle will last a long time. All you need is 2 or 3 pumps of spray per glove before playing. It really does make your gloves exceptionally sticky and is pretty long lasting!
My son is a great keeper (currently being tracked by 4 pro-clubs including one Premier League club) and this gives him even more confidence. He uses Uhlsport gloves exclusively and currently has two pairs of AbsolutGrip palmed gloves. These are mid-priced (80 a pair) and have a great mix between durability and grip. He uses one pair for training and 4G/indoor and the other for grass. Irrespective of the surface, the Gloveglu Mega grip really enhances ball handling and control.
The bottle lasts for an entire season, if you have a decent pair of gloves. A spray before each half is enough to add valuable confidence in any weather on any surface. One reviewer noted that the grip is so strong that it can hamper throw outs. When my son first had his Uhlsport AbsolutGrips, he found kicking the ball from hands to be slightly difficult (in releasing). He has made that observation on throwing too. However, what he’s found is that using a slingshot method to throw the ball, the grip means you give the ball extra impetus to break the grip resulting in better throws. As the gloves age, this becomes less of a problem.
One area where Gloveglu is essential is if you forget to wash your gloves after a game (not recommended). Kids often forget to empty kit bags, and parents often have other stuff to do. This saves attempting to accelerate the drying process (NEVER place good gloves on a radiator or near a direct source of heat). The airing cupboard or utility room if you’ve got a boiler in there is a great place to dry gloves. Gloves take at least 24 hours to dry, and Gloveglu can help restore the grip immediately. I’m not sure if this has a conditioning effect on the gloves, I don’t think it does. If your palms are wearing on the glove it’s one of two things: you’re heavy on your gloves in getting up (need to strengthen your core muscles) or you your gloves have cheaper or the incorrect latex for the surface.
In any case, buy this product and become a goalkeeping hero….(possibly)!
Good prep for gloves and it really is tacky to a high level. Only downside is had 2 bottles and both have a run out of the liquid around the section that houses the spray nozzle. Would definitely say you need to have this upright when use and ideally wear gloves yourself cos it will make any surface tacky.
When buying my first pair of goalkeeper gloves in over 20 years I came across this and was intrigued as to what it would be like. Applied a few squirts to the gloves before the big 5-a-side match and after a quick warm up I was pleasantly surprised at just how sticky the gloves were.
I can’t remember ever catching the ball so confidently in my younger days as I did in the big work footie match. The conditions were dry so I can’t say what it would be like in the wet and I think I would have benefited from a few more squirts throughout the match but all in all as an experiment I wasn’t disappointed.
My gloves were brand new so they were grippy to start with but I also gave the other keepers gloves a few squirts and it gave a new lease of life to an old pair of gloves.
If I played on a more regular basis I think this would be a regular purchase.
Great item this, not only does it help with the goalkeeping but also makes the gloves last longer. Before I found this Gloveglu my son was going through a pair of gloves every 2 months as the palms were falling apart, but now we use this he only needs a couple of pairs a season.
Use this on my Adidas Ace GK gloves which I use for 6 a side.
Ive used this product on 3 types of pitches, Grass, rubber crumb astro turf and sand filled astro turf and it works great on all 3, athough it doesn’t last as long on the sand pitches but I guess that is to be expected and due to the length of games in 6 a side it doesn’t make that much difference.
Would recommend to any GK who needs more grip.
makes gloves in the dry better as you don’t have to worry about keeping them wet and therefore grippy. careful not to apply to much as they can become too sticky and throw outs can be “interesting”….a bit of trial and error needed.
Works an absolute treat, great in wet conditions. For those with butter fingers like David James this product should go a small way in helping your condition.
This is the extra strong version of the original glove glu, to be honest I have not really noticed any difference.
Top product, I would highly recommend i
