I have had numerous makes of grass seed over the years as I have to redo patches every year. This seed works and works fast. It’s had minimal water on it but is still strong enough to seed and grow. Great!
I’ve never seen anything like it! You sow, you water and it grows. 5 days and you’ve got grass. After a week I had to mow it. Just bought my 4th box. Great product.
Did what it said to and everything came up lovely. I put plenty down as there’s always some that doesn’t take and it grew really quickly, evenly and in places that I’ve had trouble growing it. Very pleased.
This grass seed is great for patching areas where weeds have been dug out of your lawn, leaving a bare patch. Just add a little fresh top soil to the patch and sprinkle the seed onto the top soil and rake in lightly. Water daily for the first couple of weeks. New grass will appear within the first week.
Literally 3 weeks from nothing to lovely grass very please and not a weed in sight.
Has had cut at week 2 and another on week 3. Really please with the results would recommend.

Bought this to thicken up some newly laid turf – works great germinating quickly – just me sure to cover it with a layer or thin soil or use nets as the birds will find every last seed if you dont.
I have used this item to seed patches on our lawn, mainly destroyed through moss infestation. I rake out the dead moss with a scarifier; although a rake will work as well, just slower, ensure that the soil is “scarred” spread the seed and in my case, cover with a mixture of sand and compost. This process works well for me and the growth has been strong and surprisingly quick.

I’ve tried many grass seeds to improve our lawn after the winter, into summer, and this is the best I’ve ever had!! It’s very fast germinating and growing!! We have shady, cold clay soil and yet it powered through! Took just over a week to germinate in inclement weather, but this is by far the fastest I’ve seen. Highly recommended!
I have used this product before and it is easy to use and the grass appears relatively quickly. If you are filling in bare patches on your lawn the new grass may be a slightly different shade of green to the existing lawn.
We’ve tried four different grass seeds on our new lawn and this is by far the fastest to germinate. It’s growing at a phenomenal rate and leaves Tesco’s best in the dust, which coincidentally is where most of that seed is lying.
I only wished I had ordered a bigger box and not had to resort to the Tesco brand.

My Tennant ruined my lawn so before laying a new one thought I’d give this a go. I don’t have green fingers in the slightest so was sceptical.
Put the seeds and top soil down (May 5th) and 10 days later it started to pop! Now it’s all green and ready for the landscapers to come in and make it look pretty this coming Friday! So happy with the results.

Initially was a but hesitant as couldn’t see any shoots. Now a month later it still looks quite sparse but hopefully it will thicken up into next year. Going to leave it to fully establish before trying to reseed any areas. Perhaps I should have used more soil.
Beware as I didn’t realise when ordering this seed the number on the front is for seeding over a patchy lawn, creating a new lawn is much less coverage so you may need a bigger box.
This only cost me 13 versus about 200 in turf. It looks great when walking from an agle but obviously patchy when looked at from an ariel view. It stops it being an eye sore though and can work on making it a nice lawn.
I have tried various grass seeds and even put down turf and it did not take root. This is the best seed I’ve ever used. And recommend to my family and friends. Water twice a day and within two weeks it was coming up lovely. It grows so fast I have to keep cutting it!
Easy to order & fast delivery, can’t comment yet on how fast it does grow as only used it a few days ago.
Fingers crossed it shows some signs of growing soon.
Within 5 days the seeds had germinated and within 7 days the grass was of a decent length – now three weeks on the grass is thick and healthy! Only downside is the design of the box is a bit annoying when you’re spreading the seeds
Being lazy, I didn’t get round to sowing this for a year, though it was still within its use-by date.
I sprinkled it on the soil, raked it in (VERY important to help germination and fool the birds), went away for a few days, and it was already growing when I came back. With our rotten August weather I didn’t even bother watering.

Over many years I’ve tried various brands of grass seed, most of which claim rapid germination. However, they nearly all take double or treble the time to show any signs of grass and is hit and miss.
This Pronto seed created lush grass in less than a week and was soon vigorous and healthy. Seriously, is there any better? I doubt it.
Used this seed for a new lawn after digging up all the old dead roots. After about 2 weeks had a nice full lawn. Even better now than the pics. The only thing to bear in mind is that it is fast growing to get a nice lawn quickly. But it does carry on fast growing so needs to be cut more often. Overall very happy with the results.

I’ve also learned to plant them properly, but the seeds are just fantastic and quick to spring up!
We’re total novices with gardening and don’t even own a rake. But this turned out so well! We used two packs, sprinkled over bare patches where we moved a flower bed border and the whole lawn, used a broom over it lol, watered daily and 2- 3 weeks later we had beautiful, thick green lawn.
Wouldn’t use it to patch repair without going over whole lawn as well though as it’s a distinct bright green colour.
We will get one more box to fill in a few sparse patches, but we’re overall thrilled!!

I’ve bought this product more than 3 or 4 times now – it’s super easy to use and to spread I used my hand then a little layers of compost then watered , super easy for a non gardener like my self
An amazing product. We have tried several leading brand grass seeds and everything seemed to have failed. I tried these as they were fast growing and the season being almost over, I wanted to to ensure the patches were covered by grass. With two weeks, and watering, we started to see result. After 4 week, we had a full head of grass growing and by 6 weeks we were able to mow the lawn. I cannot recommond this product enough.
Did this work yes. Have I got nice green grass yes. Was it Speedy, no, do the name is slightly misleading but the quality of the grass is nice, eventually.
Prior to speed seed I tried at least 3 different brands of seed products with sluggish or no results.
Enter Speedy seed, I was lured by the promise of speedy results and oh my did I get it – see pics!
Purchased Speedy seed during the recent 3-week wet weather spell in July 2023. I felt the rain helped immensely in keeping the soil moist on the daily. By my account, I saw the first shoots by day 6/7.
That said, here are the steps I followed to get the results you see in pic …
1) Week 1/2: First treat any weeds you’ve got … bought the 4 in 1 evergreen from B&Q.
2) Mow the lawn.
3) Aerate the soil (very important) – got lawn aerator shoes from Amazon to get a leg walkout but you can achieve same effect by raking the soil.
4) Water the soil using a garden water hose.
5) Apply Speedy Seed evenly across your lawn. Did this by hand (wearing garden gloves of course). As a test, I marked sections of the lawn to track progress.
6) Rake again to bake seeds into soil.
7) Water garden soil again.
8) Next day henceforth water garden mid morning and at night.
9) Then “on the seventh day” … Voila!

I had an area around 6x4m of soil that I seeded using this and it was great stuff to use. After prepping the area I used 1 and a half boxes of this to get the full coverage I wanted but the seed was shooting within 2 weeks. It covered really well and I didn’t need to reseed any of the area after this.
Its been growing for around 6 months now and it looks great. The only issue is that it hasn’t stopped growing at a fast rate. I now have to cut this area twice as often as the rest of my lawn to keep it looking the same. Not a big issue and I would definitely use this again and highly recommend to others.
My garden was a state for pretty much a year as there was so much growth around the side and back of the garden. Had it all chopped away and it left an uneven muddy mess. I had it de-weeded and during summer this dried up and clumped up and just looked horrible.
I broke down the hard lumps of soil and raked it level. I then scarified the grass a few times to get all the dead thatch out and then top soiled it as best as I could to what budget I had ( could have done with more top soil).
I then airated it and then used the seeds and airated it again and seeded again. I over seeded the sides and back as this was the area that needed most attention. Waited a week and nothing. I watered the garden religiously everyday as we were having a hot spell and I started to get deflated thinking all my hard work was for nothing.
I went away for a weekend and the mother in law looked after the pets. I left Friday afternoon. A week after laying the seeds and returned Sunday evening. To my surprise the seeds had germinated like crazy! Even my mother in law said the grass literally sprouted like mad over night. It’s had 2 cuts but I haven’t done them on the lowest setting on the lawn mower.
Granted there’s still a bit of work to do to get it where I want it to be but it just looks so much nicer than before! Just be patient with it.

My only criticism is that on both deliveries It was sent it too large a box with no protection so both boxes had exploded into the larger amazon box. Didnt overly bother me, but was a faff getting it into another box

Really good, sprouted well after 4 weeks and the weather conditions were perfect. Just mentioning in case you sew seed and its dry/too hot and takes its time to sprout.

We had cut a hedge back and it left a large bare area on our lawn. we sprinkled some compost and then sprinkled the grass seeds and watered it. Within a couple of days we saw signs of growth. We have since bought another box !
Scarified lawn first and chucked this seed on in early spring along with some manure and potting compost I had left over from last year, local pigeons seemed to enjoy some of it but within a couple of weeks it all started sprouting and now the lawn looks a lot bette

few patches to address once it’s had a bit longer to settle, but having repaired similar patches elsewhere on my lawn i have no doubts it will soon be fully covered.
So so pleased with this grass seed! You can see where it has suddenly sprung up here in about 10-12 days. We lightly covered with compost and patted down to stop the birds eating it mostly. There was NO grass here at all, previously where you can see new green shoots. Will be buying again to improve any patches. Fantastic!!

Tried so many different ones over the years but this one is brilliant. The grass came out lovely and thick. I will say it took longer than 7 days, I’d say after 14 days I started to notice the grass coming through, this picture is around 5 weeks after putting it down. Very impressed with the results.

Firstly I scarified/ removed the patches before loosening up the soil.
I spread the seed by hand and mixed with the soil – then added topsoil from bnq
It rained most days but on the days it didn’t- I watered it in the evening
Two weeks later my lawn is now filled – will leave for a further two weeks until mowing.
Please be patient as some areas took longer to grow – it wasn’t as fast as stated on the packaging but definitely worked in this case
I never really write reviews, but felt I needed to for this grass seed. Used plenty of other brands over the years, but none have ever grown this quick before. We moved in during November. The lawn was overgrown and as soon as we cut it back we saw patch after patch of mud.
Of course with the bad weather, 2 dogs and children it became a mud bath.
I’ve been waiting and waiting to re-seed the lawn.
The picture is from before I started 1/3rd of the lawn.
Sown on 17th March. Raked, top soiled and covered to prevent the dogs from trampling it.. Today (21st) to my surprise I’m already seeing tiny shoots coming up! So far so good!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🙂
