It does exactly what it says, it’s light durable and the colour is stunning
We had this luggage for our trip to Brazil and believe me when I say that we put them to the most hard test that a luggage can have.
The wheels are really strong, the zipper is intact, we have some scratches on the top but I can honestly say that is a good price for an amazing product!
A plus is that nothing breaks inside them!
I have just been on vacation, for the second time since purchase, The pull up handle has come apart, after 5 weeks of use. This cant be right . However, I cant find a way to return for replacement ?
I’m not normally one for leaving reviews, but I think the excellent customer service I’ve recently had from the manufacturer of this suitcase deserves praise.
I have had this suitcase for just under two years and it has performed impeccably until about a fortnight ago when the black plastic top of the telescopic handle broke. I contacted the manufacturer as the suitcase has a warranty and they immediately dispatched a new complete telescopic handle on express delivery which arrived a couple of days later. No fuss, no drama, just a swift fix.
Ten minutes to undo six screws, remove old handle and replace with new one and my suitcase is as good as new again. Very, very pleased customer. If only everything was so easy!
So far so good with this suitcase – it’s managed a return trip to India and one to Bulgaria and still looking as good as new. Contents are well protected due to the sturdy case – and I have found it an absolute dream to wheel both on 4 wheels and tipped on to 2. It glides along on 4 wheels with very little effort even when it is full and heavy. And, it’s colour has made it easy to pick out at the baggage carousel – much better than the previous black case. Inside there are strong and sturdy packing straps. An there’s a lock at the top.
Bought the wife and kids a set for Christmas (wrapped them all separately to really add some tension and talk about the ‘big gifts next to the tree’!)
They used them earlier this month for a trip to the US from which they returned last week. No complaints! My wife is a fussy woman, and she loved them. Easy to move around, no zipper issues, TSA locks perfect for US, the interior features a handy divider, and the orange color made them unmissable on the conveyor belt! Sure, they pick up the odd scuff, but hey, they’re not black! And the scuffs wipe off nice and easy…

Cases are great to look at and nicely thought out inside with dividers and straps to hold everything in place. Outer shell seems tough. On the minus side, the handles (not the extending one for wheeling) are on one side of the shell as the two sides are equal depth, so carrying whilst full might be a little lopsided Also, a problem I see across the board from cheap to really quite expensive cases, the wheels look quite flimsy and I don’t know how long they’ll last in the real world! The cabin-size case has survived a trip to London, we’ll see how the others do. Generally pleased with them.
Since that time, I have moved during the school year to work at a British International School in Spain, so this was the perfect robust bag that would withstand 4-5 return trips every year to and from the UK. This bag definitely lives up to the strength that is purported by the company. Yes sure, you get a few of the black marks from being handled and being forced along the black belts. But if you are seriously worried about that, you can clean them down and they still look fabulous.
To be honest, I haven’t bothered cleaning the outside of the bag – I can still spot it a mile away! There is no one else that has a bag like mine. Everyone else’s is black, grey and boring!
Well a few months ago they had the champagne coloured back on Amazon’s Deal of the Day for well below what I paid for my blue one. I just made a decision and said YES. This September, my son will be joining me to do his IGCSE’s at my school in Spain, so now he also has a lovely robust bag that we can bring to and fro for several years to come!
I would definitely recommend this product for the frequent flyer!

It’s a great case loads of room, BUT could be better, there could be more side protects on it for my liking, it took it to Spain & now it’s scratched. :-/.
A very sturdy and great looking suitcase.
We bought two of these for our honeymoon so are looking forward to using them. Plenty of room and pockets so very useful. Great colours also.
They are good cases. I haven’t used the largest yet as it’s so big but the big bonus is that they fit into one another like Chinese dolls so storage is easy.
Surprisingly roomy. It’s carry on size (Europe) and I can get a week’s clothes and shoes in it. It’s not super strong, but I’ve checked it a few times now with no damage and the zippers have held fast. The wheels are delicate so you can’t bash it over steps (not that you should do that with any luggage) and don’t let your kids sit on it. It’s not a high-end case, the wheels are not as smooth or agile as my Samsung but the case was a FRACTION of the price, so it’s seriously good value. One consideration is that it’s just got the one opening and it has no external pockets so taking it through security, as a carry on, can be challenging if you’re not a neat packer.
Very nice case, zips do sometimes get a bit stuck though, no problems with lock.
Very smooth wheels and lighter than I expected.
All in all, very nice.
P.s. if it’s a bit dull or scratched on arrival – remove the protective film that is covering the whole case! Found this handy info on the Hauptstadtkoffer website.
Bought for my son, it has now been on various holiday flights. He is very happy with it. Well made and spacious, whilst within the cabin luggage limits. The shape maximises the volume available for his packing and the option of different handles to use has been useful.
Well designed and manufactured case, meets exacting Air France dimensions, good service from supplier.
HOWEVER, if you want the dark blue one, DO NOT trust the Amazon picture which is dark blue but described as Waldgrun and even my German is good enough to suspect that is actually dark green and no it’s extremely difficult to point out to Amazon they need to change their photo of the otherwise ‘blue’ case.

Fabulous cases, these survived a nightmare trip to the USA with only a few scuff marks. Not exactly secure (TSA locks aside, zippered style cases are easy to break into and reseal using just a pen, even if locked). Colour is so loud you cannot miss these on the carousel. The smallest one was accepted as hand luggage with no issues at all.
So far so good with this, it made spotting my luggage very easy and it protected everything perfectly. It did scuff quite a lot, but there is nothing you can do about that I suppose.
Everything good except that the lovely shiny red surface got scratched by the airport baggage handlers. I expecetd that from reading other reviews. However, I’m still very pleased with it.
We LOVED our new luggage set. Lightweight, moves well and you can even spot it on the trucks outside that are taking your luggage to the plane! haha. Does get a bit scuffed up from all the travel, but we don’t mind at all. Will probably buy more as gifts!
Feeling the holiday sun before I leave, this suitcase just makes you smile with its vibrant colour and general good looks, cant wait to use it long haul to Oz. Bought large case on its own as i’d never previously used a hard case, rather sorry now that I didnt buy the set of 3.
Love the colour, love the capacity, scratched easily though – but this does give them a nice used look. Great price and great delivery time too. Unusual key hole on the lock, for which no key is provided. The manufacturers (German) promptly replied to my email enquiry as to its purpose, saying that it for customs use and that no one gets keys to it!!!
Like most German products, the suitcase is strong and seems resistant. Furthermore, the colour is super cool and the overall look and details are great. Definitely worth the money.
If you have the storage space for all 3 sizes then I would recommend to take advantage of the fantastic bargain of buying all 3 sizes for 139.00. Unfortunately, due to lack of storage I could not take advantage of the offer and ended up spending almost as much just for 2 suitcases.They arrived only 3 days after placing the order; much, much earlier than expected. The suitcase is pretty spacious and expandable; a massive plus feature, for those like me, who always buy far too many souvenirs during their trips. Though I have not tested it on a trip yet so far I am pretty impressed.
I haven’t expanded the case to its full extent yet as I have not needed to. I easily fitted in all my 3 year old’s clothes and toys!
It did get some black marks on the case but these came off fairly easily – I used a car polish and it came up a treat! There was a small scuff down one edge but this is hardy noticeable and scuffs are to be expected. I definitely recommend the case for this price and in fact I have just this minute ordered another one in Applegreen this time for my wife, as she loved it that much!
Lastly I have to mention the supplier as I stupidly left ordering this case until just 5 days before our holiday. The supplier is based in Germany. I sent them an email and they responded (in German)to say that they would get the case out that day. It promptly arrive 2 days later. Fantastic service. That’s why I have ordered another one through them.
Locking instructions:
(Note: You DONT need a key, so don’t bother looking!)
1) Put the combination to the default of 000
2) Locate the setting button by the right catch and push down with a pen
3) Set new combination
4) Press the button marked ‘push’ on the bottom right
5) New combination is now se
Light and very easy to manoeuvre – look gorgeous too. Only little quibble I have is that the instructions on how to use the locks are in German -still haven’t figured it out -will maybe have cracked it in time for my next holiday!
Ordered these for an unforeseen travel and was nervous they would not come on time… They arrived only 2days after my order, and were packed very well! Have now used them on several transatlantic flights, and my husband uses the middle size one for his African travels-and they are indeed sturdy, safe and present well in both checking and Hotell arrival. I love that you simply push them along, so backache is no more. The TSA lock is a must for anyone traveling to NorthAmerica, and makes you feel safer with regard to belongings. Do get these if you want really sturdy cases that hold up for any kind of travel!
Well built, delievered within a week from Germany, a lot of kit for the money, would definitely recommend these. Very nice inside, wheels and handles strong, insides is also stitched well. The smaller cabin luggage also complies with Ryanair and Easyjet sizes so that’s a big plus.
I e-mailed the seller to find out why. The reply was “made in China” to our German specs.
I almost sent it back, I am glad I didn’t, A great medium sized suitcase, that runs very smoothly on four wheels with no effort at all. I packed it fully when I recently went to France. It weighed in at 17Kgm ( without the expandable zip in use) No doubt you could get a lot more in.
The built in combination lock is a good idea.
An outstanding case, you will have no problem spotting it at the baggage pick up point.
Its a dream to push, but I wouldn’t use it on uneven surfaces, it might damage the wheels.
Overall a great looking case that runs like a dream.
