It is a good lock. Its small but works fine for most of the parking places.
Was in the market for a reliable bike lock for my ebike. No bike is going to be theft proof but this lock does gives me a little sense of security when I’m away. Purchased this to use for short amount of time and it has held up. The lock has some plastic components but overall it’s pretty sturdy. The lock only fits in one direction but it’s not a deal breaker. The cable is a nice plus addition to be fitted around the bike as I found the lock is not big enough to be placed around my frame and wheel. Overall the best way to not get your bike stolen is to not let it out of your sight, but this lock is the second best thing I can do if I have to be away.
Ein wunderbares Schloss! In Kombination mit dem Kabel auch ein rundes Paket. Mir ist es allerdings lieber, wenn ich mit dem Schloss den Rahmen plus das Hinterrad anschlieen kann. Das ist mir bei meinem Fahrrad nicht gelungen. Daher geht es wieder zurck. Als reines Rahmenschloss ist es aber super. Alleine das Gewicht gewinnt gegenber der Konkurrenz von Kryptonite und Abus.
This hiplok really looks cool and the fact you can carry it on your waist is great. It’s sturdy and it’s size is just right for locking your bike in virtually every rail around the city.
After a couple of months using it, still looking neat and sturdy.
The cable is a plus and it’s worth it’s price.
…this one seems reasonably convenient & sturdy enough to delay a thief for a few seconds at least. Seriously, these days serious bike thieves carry power tools like angle grinders. The best you can do is make it more inconvenient to take your bike than the other guy or gal’s. This, in conjunction with a second good lock, as long as you park in a busy place, with CCTV, might do the job. At least it’s convenient. I may not be selling this very well, but essentially no lock is going to stop a pro on its own, but it’s better than *no* lock, and this lock is significantly better than many locks of cheaper or equal price.
Mine was directly from Amazon and not from a 3rd party seller maybe this is why with the negative comments have come from.
This is the best price for the lock at just over 62 pounds 79.99 from the manufacturer. The lock is not to heavy to perfect for a backpack or on your belt.
The cable does smell abit but just needs the air to get to it for it to go. Does seem to be thinner to some other cables that are out on the market but for a bonus its fine.
The d-lock does rattle abit when you pull onit, but again most do. Overall seems well made product from Hiplok.
