Had to go through a process with someone on the phone to set it up due to not having wifi, only hotspot. Have to turn on hotspot on mobile and then use my laptop to print every time I use it, but works really well otherwise.
I found it fairly easy to connect, very satisfied with the quality of the printing, it did state that you got 6 months ink free, I don’t do a great of printing and it’s already showing I need to replace the ink. I purchased this printer on the 27 November and didn’t use it for a week so what’s happened to the ink is a mystery certainly not 6 months free.
This is the second HP printer I’ve purchased and its definitely worth the money. It takes a while to configure the wireless print from my phone and laptop. I am also enjoying the free ink which is the best part.
Lovely compact printer, easy to assemble the only problem I find is that after printing a few pages it jams and paper won’t go through. I had the same problem with previous machine, although that only started happening after 2 years.
This was our second choice as the one we got previously had a fault on it.
This is an uncomplicated printer. Easy to use. Does a good job print wise. Very happy
I think I like this printer. It was easy to set up, the hp app was helpful with the set up too. I activated the 6 months free instant ink and if you use the CODE r4w7dg you will get 1 extra month to make a total of 7months free instant ink supply. Go for it!
This was buttons to buy! And I got free ink for 6 months its an all in one printer so you can photocopy, which is needed if ur a student. My kids can all print pictures and schoolwork from their mobile phones this is an awesome, excellent quality made printer for little money.
I was not sure about this printer as some of the reviews said it was difficult to set up. However, I this was more in my price range so I went ahead and prepared for a task ahead. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up. It has a dummies guide (incl photos) and it took me no more than 2-5 minutes which included getting it out of the box and plugging in. Definitely a purchase I’m happy with.
Bought this printer for basic home use and it’s certainly doing the job. I was a bit reluctant when I read the reviews saying it was difficult to set up but I did not find that problem. In fact as long as you followed the step by step simple instructions it was very easy.
Absolutely perfect for the job. Print quality is great no problems at all. Got this to replace my other printer that although working, this was as cheap to buy as new ink for the other one lol. Does everything, print, scan copy the lot. Works from my phone or laptop without any problems. Recommended
After using Epson printers and thought the cartridges costs where getting very high until that new printer I saw originally saw the HP advert in 2018, and purchased my first HP Instant Ink back then.
That lasted 5.5 years and with the ink included, they send it you when you run out! No brainer, at 38 for the new printer as well it is a great deal.
The printer itself is so easy to set up, download the app from 123.hp.com and away you go, easy as that. It self connects to to the wifi and my MAC.
The quality is great too at that price, prints better than my Old HP and Epson, way better and if you use this code vy4d2n you get an extra month free, so 7 months in total, code is vy4d2n and it is added into your account when set up gives you 300 FREE prints per month, the ink is sent to you when it gets low so no need to order ink, what a great service.
I’m not sure what it is about printers but most of them are completely useless and to avoid wasting time messing about with connection issues, jamming or poor quality prints. I usually just throw the old printer in the bin and order a new one.
I never thought I would write a positive review about a printer as I hate them so much. But so far this has not missed a beat for probably 6 months. Connects easy even when it’s switched off at the plug, prints out quickly even from your phone.
Actually a good one
Bought this for my gran as her old one was falling to pieces (literally held together with packing tape but somehow still worked) and I wanted to get her the same model as she doesn’t do well with change. She loves it, it’s definitely changed a bit since the old model she has but not too much as to confuse her.
Seems a lot more sturdy than that one too which is good even though the old one was in rough shape, she had it for about 8-10 years I believe (moving countries with her too – it’s honestly a miracle it still worked) so it lasted very well and I feel this one will last her even longer. Prints 10x faster than before she couldn’t believe it. I’d say this model definitely has her stamp of approval, mine too.
I was so pleased with this printer when it first arrived. I was able to set it up easily and the print quality was really good for my needs.
I was printing documents periodically, so it did not have a huge amount of use before I encountered problems. Suddenly it stopped printing and I had a number of technical issues. I contacted the technical helpdesk and a couple of obvious suggestions were made eg: switch off printer for a minute and reconnect, turn off broadband to see whether the machine reconnects and resumes printing. This did not solve my problem. The technician offered to resolve my issue by taking control of my machine, but in this day and age this is not something that I was comfortable doing and there was also a subsequent cost associated with this service. Again this made my very nervous.
After much investigation I was able to resolve the issue myself.
This is the only reason why I’ve given it 4 stars, otherwise it would have scored 5 stars
I do like this printer eady to set up and I like the ink ordering automatically. It prints off my laptop with no problems and it is quick. But.if I try to print off my phone it doesn’t work so well the sizing isn’t quite right and it takes several tries before it prints. The quality of printing is great. It is a good little printe
The HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Colour Printer with 6 months of instant Ink with HP+ has truly transformed my printing experience. As someone who frequently relies on a printer for various tasks, this all-in-one printer has exceeded my expectations in terms of convenience, quality, and cost savings.
Right out of the box, the printer’s setup was a breeze. The clear instructions and user-friendly interface made the installation process quick and hassle-free. Connecting it to my devices was seamless, and I was up and running in no time. The compact design fits perfectly in my workspace, and the white color adds a touch of modern elegance.
The real star of the show is the 6 months of instant Ink with HP+. This feature has revolutionized the way I print. With instant Ink, the printer is always connected to the internet, and it automatically orders ink for me when I’m running low. This eliminates the frustration of suddenly realizing I’m out of ink in the middle of an important printing task. The cost savings are significant, as I no longer need to worry about purchasing expensive ink cartridges separately.
Printing quality is exceptional. Whether I’m printing documents, photos, or graphics, the colours are vibrant and true to life. The all-in-one functionality allows me to scan and copy effortlessly, and the results are consistently sharp and clear. The printer’s performance has been reliable and consistent, even during high-volume printing sessions.
The HP+ feature further enhances the printer’s value. With HP+, I get access to exclusive benefits such as extra cloud storage and enhanced security features. The printer’s firmware updates automatically to ensure peak performance, and the added layer of security gives me peace of mind in today’s digital landscape.
Additionally, the HP Smart app has become an indispensable tool. It allows me to print from virtually anywhere using my smartphone or tablet. The app’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making printing on the go a seamless experience.
The printer’s energy efficiency is commendable as well. It goes into sleep mode when not in use, reducing energy consumption without compromising on convenience. This aligns with my commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
In summary, the HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Colour Printer with 6 months of instant Ink with HP+ is a game-changer in the world of home printing. Its effortless setup, exceptional printing quality, and HP+ features make it a valuable addition to any home or small office. The convenience of automatic ink ordering and the cost savings it offers, coupled with the printer’s sleek design and user-friendly features, make it a standout product that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Cons:
None to mention; the printer has surpassed my expectations in every aspec
I needed a printer for very occasional use and didn’t want to spend the earth. I shopped around and the same printer was selling at full RRP of 50+ in-store and online. I’d read reviews about the ink subscription but avoided signing up as read there is the potential for being locked into having to buy expensive HP ink (as the printer rejects it after firmware updates/subscription sign up) rather than third party cheaper refills. Given I would literally print maybe 20 sheets a year, it seemed unnecessary. Might be good for someone who prints a lot. I’ve printed both colour and black and white and the resolution is good. Printer is relatively small and fits nicely out the way in a cupboard. Set up is relatively easy through the app.
I needed a new all in one printer as my aging Epson had so many problems with print heads blocking up and I was fed up of cleaning them with an expensive cleaning kit every time I wanted to print something. I am not a heavy user, typically I’ll print something every few months so I do not need anything expensive. This HP was on offer at only 34.00. Bargain. I looked for compatible cartridges and found they are easily refilled with a filling kit. It is as simple as injecting ink into the hole in the cartridge and putting it back into the machine and the cartridge can be filled up to 30 times. Perfect for me and better for the Planet, not that I’m an eco warrior, it just makes sense.
Anyway, to the printer. Out of the box was simple, a couple of blue tapes and click in the cartridges. Done in minutes. Connecting to the internet seemed to go well, It did turn out a faff because I typed the internet password wrong and because it was blanked out I didn’t realise so it wouldn’t work, then it insisted on not wanting to connect.I unplugged it and went through it all again typing the correct password and it connected. I was using the HP Smart app which is pretty intuitive and easy to use. When it was connected my Laptop for some reason always defaulted to Microsoft one note instead of the printer. I’m not techie ( can you tell) When I realised I had to set the HP as my default printer Bingo! All fell into place and it worked. Performance wise, it is slower than the Epson I had but as I am not a home office user it does it’s job well for me. I ordered a filling kit for the ink for 19.00 that is a massive saving on ink as the starter cartridges only have about 1ml of ink, basically enough to get the printer set up so they will run out in less than a week. For the money paid I can’t complain. It does the job.
Also photocopies and easy to set up with all the instructions. Also came with tri colour ink and black ink
Does everything I need. Print and scan for basic home office needs. Works well with the app and get 6 months free ink
The first computer and printer brand I know, is HP. In the years ’70 they commissioned a computer for Optical Calculus in a company in Europe. The HDD had few hundreds kg, the computer itself occupied a huge room, 1/6 of an entire industrial floor, and the inertial UPS system in the basement had few tonnes. After 2005 I heard they buyed back the computer 100% functional.
It is a good printer. It is a bit slow when printing but it is okay for personal use . I have had it for only one month so we have a long way ahead. ( Hopefully)
It’s HP so of course it’s a bloody faff with their crap HP Smart app, but the printer is fine and good value for money. Make sure you buy some ink with it because the starter cartridges don’t last long.
Came super fast, easy to set up and download the app.
Can print from phone with Bluetooth.
Amazing printer and looking forward to many happy years printing with this cost efficient printe
The product arrived this morning, and I’ve printed a couple pages in black and white, and colour, to test it out. So far seems great. Easy to connect to mobile via WiFi. My PC doesn’t have a WiFi or Bluetooth card, so just be mindful that you won’t be able to connect the printer to a Network if you don’t have WiFi or Bluetooth abilities.
The big problem, however, was getting the damn thing to present properly. The information button is constantly amber.
I followed the set up manual to the T, used HP’s online manuals, heck even searched reddit, to no avail.
Eventually worked out that I needed a firmware update, which helped. But that wasn’t mentioned in any troubleshooting places I looked, so beware.
Despite the update, the Information button remained amber. After printing the diagnostic sheet, the printer ‘told’ me I wasn’t using HP Instant ink… However I was using the ink sent by HP with the printer!
My ‘supply status’ on my HP profile confirmed that the ink was not HP Instant Ink, but instructed that I continue to use the ink until my 6 months trial is up. So may potentially have amber information light for next 6 months?
Anyway, good product, fiddly set up.
We have always required some kind of home office for education and work.
As technology advances, we adapt accordingly, so our set-up is constantly evolving.
I was recently revamping my spare room to be more aesthetically pleasing.
I’ve always used this brand of printer and am a huge fan of HP ink, but our previous printer had been through the wars and not functioning brilliantly.
However, in this digital age, I’ve found the need for a printer becomes less, so I’ve held off in replacing it.
I saw this printer on Amazon Warehouse at a great price and thought it looked ideal for my needs.
I’m absolutely delighted with it and I’ll tell you why that is:
Compact design and a sleek look – ideal for a mini office/spare bedroom.
Simple to operate right out of the box and compatible with HP Instant Ink and the HP app.
Quiet and efficient with all of the features that I require in a printer.
I enjoy photography and it has a good enough print quality to use for it.
The RRP is worth paying, but an Amazon warehouse deal (perfect product, open/damaged box) made it an absolute steal.
I’m happy to say I would buy it again and absolutely recommend this product.
Easy set up as long as you give it time to warm up. To put the inks in but was very easy to set up for air printing. Impressed with it all.
I was upgrading from my old Deskjet F2280, and assumed that this would also be plug and play, and could be located any where in my home. HP tell me it should be no more than 1m from the main router to work properly.
After 2 hours reading all the on line guides, uninstalling and re-installing a couple of times, and 4 hours on the phone to HP support, I could not get the printer to print from any of my devices, so returned it for replacement (excellent turn around from Amazon).
With a few more hours telephone help from HP, the new printer does print and scan on Windows 10 and ios devices, but struggles to print on my android 10 tablet and does not recognise the scanner at all. I am waiting for HP Tech Support to get back to me with a resolution or work around.
I feel sure that it will work fully soon, but can only give the printer 4 stars.
Hopefully my experience is not typical.
Such a good price for a home printer and 6 months of ink (considering ink can be 30+ each time!)
Fairly easy to set up with both android phone and ipad air.
Occasionally doesn’t connect but its an easy fix.
The ink plan is a bargain if you use the printer regularly. Perfect for families or small businesses who will use the printer fairly frequently.
The app is super easy to use.
Also great if you need to print things to scale. As a sewist this is incredibly important to me as my patterns need to be printed to scale and not enlarged/shrunk.
And if you use code vghf2c you’ll get some free ink!
When buying a printer under 50 you think you’ve got a bargain BUT for me I find a printer I like the look of then before buying check the ink prices and size. That’s where you’re going to really spend your money.
This printers ink cartridges are the smallest I’ve ever seen. It scans and prints fine and the ink price is better than most (but still too expensive in my opinion).
The noise level while printing is average and it takes a good minute after switching on to be ready to print.
Wi-fi set up is ok but you can not use the software (which you have to download to computer or phone) without signing up to one of their plans. I don’t want to have a plan OR have to sign in to print something out. Luckily most phones/computers will have their own basic printing software but still would have like to use HP’s.
This purchase replaces a secondhand HP Envy, which had lasted me for many years. This new one seems a bit plasticky compared, so I wasn’t expecting much to be fair. It was fairly easy to set up – I had to link it to my phone and it was soon ready to use. It comes with both black and colour HP cartridges, plus 6 months free ink if you sign up to HPInk. You get a code that will allow others to add an additional free 3 Months on top to give 9 months of free printing. This is mine…please use it to get an extra 3 months for yourself! 8yzd7g – Why not get an extra 50% free, it also gives me an extra month which is also great.
The HP scans, copies, and prints – yes it is a basic model but then most of us only have basic printing needs. I’ve printed quite a lot so far, and it’s all come out properly. So I am fairly chuffed.
The code that you can use for an extra 3 months of free printing: 8yzd7g
