Although this is a great printer and once set up, it is easy to use. It was awful to set up.
I followed all the instructions and multiple youtube tutorials to no avail
In the end, I had to buy a cable from amazon.
Once the cable arrived, it was really easy to set up. I really don’t understand why one isn’t included with the printer.
It was a good price, and the ink via instant ink, is so so so much cheaper than the ink for my old canon printe
Had a few printers over the years but this is easily the best. A bit tricky to install, I don’t know where they get this free ink rubbish from as it depends how much you use it. When not in use the OFF button doesn’t switch it off. Great print quality and it scans great too. A lot of delivery companies expect you to print off a return label so it’s very useful for that.
printer is excellent for what i needed it for . got inks that lasted only couple days which to me the pots weren’t filled enough. And have to buy more . but printer itself easy to use and understand.
Love my printer! Printers are usually my nemesis but this one was so easy to set up via their app and easy to use. No problems as yet with the mobile to printer links, works every time. Would definitely recommend.
I bought this printer for home use.
The price was very good.
Printer size is just right, not too big or bulky.
Set up was easy, (and I am no way techy) the instructions were clear .
I’ve used the printer a few times now, and I have no complaints about it at all.
Installation on my laptops was quite easy but on my phone was quite different. I had to add a new wifi and the documents from my phone can only print if I swith to this wifi. Nonetheless its possible.
I like the ink subscription program. It automatically detects low ink and they will send it to my before I run out.
The only thing hst bothers me is that the organge light starts flashing next to arrow icon, which represents an issue (eg. no paper or paper needs readjusting) only after printing one page which is uselless for he wireless printing idea. I thought i will just sit downstairs while my docs are printing bjmut i have to run up to check what stopped it, readjust the paper after each page and then it prints.
A good printer easy to use light weight easy to move around. Well made easy to set up read the instructions before setting the printer to the computer. Prints are good clear paper does not jam. Printer value for money pleased with the purchase.
Everything fine so far, but I was shocked to find there was no double-sided printing (except manually of course). I hadn’t checked – just assumed that a modern HP printer would do this, as my previous one, 7 years old, did so.
The print is first class and quick, no complains but the installation procedure is long and tedious involving opening an account, giving credit cards and so on. The scanner is incredibly slow and involves connecting to who knows where. The price is attractive but I now have some regrets as I only wanted a simple printer.
Excellent quality and value for money but installation is quite complicated as need to download software and procedures to install not simple. Has USB, dedicated wireless connection and network connections.
Definitely reccomend. If you are on a low budget this is the printer for you – 48 for a brilliant quality HP printer ! Absolute steal. Also comes with 6 months of completely free Ink included. The printer works fantastically.
Saw this HP printer and for the money ,thought where can you go wrong ,
Unpacked it wired it up and the downloaded the HPapp
At first it didn’t seem to want to know ,but after a while managed to get it connected via WiFi and Bluetooth
Not the fastest printer in the world ,but prints good quality colour and black ,the free ink offer for 6 months is also a good deal,so in short ,for what it costs and rhe results it’s doing OK
Bit sceptical when buying this as I like to stick to what I know.. my last printer being an Espon. I have to say though I’m really glad I went with this one.. really easy set up and really easy to use. Prints smoothly and colour is great. Definitely recommend
It took me 5 minutes to isntall it, it works perfectly, good size to fit in your desk. Started the instant ink easyly also, already got the message that the ink is being sent.
I am really surprised of all the features and quality for such a low price.
Great printer for the price, and easy to install, even though I heard some people had trouble. Just make sure during the setup your printer is next to your computer, after that, it can be in any room that connects to WIFI. The instant ink is a great bonus, and for 6 Months you get to print 700 pages per Month free, although again some complain this puts you in a contract that makes sure you only use HP ink for the lifetime of your printer, which could cost a few / more, but not enough to complain about after the saving you make for 4,200 printed pages free. Great Buy.
I was absolutely amazed at the price of this HP printer, I only paid 28,00 for it and that included 6 months FREE INKS! And there’s no limit on how many you want/need!
I wanted a printer that was super easy to connect my iPhone and my partners iPhone and iPad and this was one of the top ones that came up when I clicked ‘search’.
I couldn’t believe the deal of free inks for the first 6 months upon registration, My partner rang up HP customer services and registered the printer and we were offered a deal for when the 6 months period had expired. For 2,00 a month we could carry on the same free inks policy for as long as we paid for it or as long as we had the printer for. The new colour and black ink sets are sold on Amazon Prime just like the printer was. And BTW please don’t try to buy copies of the inks for ANY HP printer as they are programmed to block them from being used!
Not that I would as I tried to do it once with a Canon printer and it ruined the printer and never worked properly afterwards and kept leaving stripes of colours all over the pages or photos that I tried to
Print offSo I won’t fall into that trap again.
This is a fantastic little printer and it is made by one of the leading companies in the industry. The colours are vibrant and are a very good match to what you are copying.
Photos come out exceptionally well and you would think that they had been done by a professional printer by a professional photographer!
All in all I think that this is a great item and would urge anyone to buy one especially at this crazy low price! 5
Fairly simple to set up (download an app on your phone or computer and follow the instructions) but definitely not the quickest with the app and printer not always speaking to each other. Printing quality is decent enough but the actual printing is pretty slow. Fine for limited personal use but wouldn’t recommend if you print a lot. The scanner is a nice touch although I’ve not used it yet.
This printer is fine for occasional use, but the instant ink aspect is a nightmare. Its always saying that you are not online so it can’t find you (meanwhile if that was true my computer would not have been able to find the printer which it can). Its such an effort each time to call up requesting new cartridges and they are slow to come. Always running out of ink. You’d be much better off just buying your own cartridges and doing it the old fashioned way. This has been a headache and so time consuming/waste of time. Really do hate the system!
Initially concerned regarding the numerous set up problems mentioned in reviews & how substituting the existing now faulty HP printer, with this new one, would work in respect of the instant ink free trial & my existing subscription.
Firstly, set up was straight forward simply following the instructions within the app, which is excellent by the way. Very intuative with lots of useful features.
Secondly HP have really thought ‘instant ink’ through, as the app allows you to either add your new printer or replace the existing one. The free trial is applied automatically. This seemless experience would definitely encourage me to stick with HP, which of course makes commercial sense.
Finally, despite being their cheapest printer, my intial impressions are that speed & print quality are both excellent for my needs. I’m a light user, printing return labels & occasional documents that kind of thing, so the 2.99pm 50 page subscription is fine for me( The roll over of unused pages to the next month is a nice feature too). If I need high quality photos I tend to use one of the online printers.
Such a good printer at a reasonable price 36 . To connect to WiFi so easy I searched on YouTube it took me 10 minutes following the YouTube guy instructions . Very pleased with quality of printing
We bought this when it was on special offer but even at double the price, it would be a solid home printer. I like that it came with 6 months of HP ink, their ink subscription service, because it means you don’t have to worry about running out of ink and can keep an eye on how much you’re using. Easy to install. Very happy!
Very impressed with this hp printer, it’s wireless and does all of my printing needs. It comes with instant ink which is an excellent service providing you with constant ink replacement when your ink runs low. It does the job and prints are clear and sharp.
I’m a bit of a Luddite when it comes to techy things. Nevertheless, this printer/scanner was so easy to set up and sync. It is incredibly intuitive and very straightforward to use.
I have always stuck with HP DeskJet since i was at University. At the time, i have always ignored the Instant Ink offer due to not having enough money being a uni student! But now, i have invested in the Instant ink (6-month trial) as i am now a university student again. And i tell you, It is WORTH it! I have also subscribed to the InstantPaper Add-on, which is a great addition for me, although this is optional. I would like to share this code for InstantInk (CODE: f68zcg) with you guys on here as you get an extra 1 month extra trial which makes it 7 months trial, to help any students out (or ANYONE :)) there who are on a budget!. Happy Shopping and Happy Studying 🙂
I have mixed feelings about the print quality as it seems to be very clear but the colours don’t seem to have the vibrancy of the old printer, also an HP. Setting it up took several days as it couldn’t be found using Wi Fi, only when I bought and switched to a cable so it could be set up manually, did it then come into play.
The HP 26K72B DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Colour Printer is a stellar addition to any home or small office setup. Its compact design belies its capabilities – this printer excels in delivering high-quality prints, scans, and copies. What sets it apart is the included 6-month free ink subscription, a game-changer for those seeking cost-effective and hassle-free printing. The convenience of Instant Ink ensures you never run out of ink unexpectedly, and the quality remains consistently excellent. Installation and setup are a breeze, even for tech novices. Its white finish adds a sleek touch to any workspace. For those seeking an affordable, reliable, and feature-packed printer, the DeskJet 2710e with its complimentary ink subscription is an unbeatable choice.
Good printer for the price. Did have some issues trying to install with Windows11 (upgraded from 10) but for some reason it just couldn’t seem to download and install the right software. So had to go back to Windows 10. Apart from that the print quality is good so far. Certainly good enough for what I need it for. I wouldn’t recommend this ‘6 months Ink’ deal they are doing. If you don’t use your printer much then just buy ink from Amazon. A black and colour cartridge was around 23 (genuine HP) and I hope it has more ink than the free ink you get with the printer.
I think I like this printer. It was easy to set up, the hp app was helpful with the set up too. I activated the 6 months free instant ink and if you use the CODE r4w7dg you will get 1 extra month to make a total of 7months free instant ink supply. Go for it!
I was so pleased with this printer when it first arrived. I was able to set it up easily and the print quality was really good for my needs.
I was printing documents periodically, so it did not have a huge amount of use before I encountered problems. Suddenly it stopped printing and I had a number of technical issues. I contacted the technical helpdesk and a couple of obvious suggestions were made eg: switch off printer for a minute and reconnect, turn off broadband to see whether the machine reconnects and resumes printing. This did not solve my problem. The technician offered to resolve my issue by taking control of my machine, but in this day and age this is not something that I was comfortable doing and there was also a subsequent cost associated with this service. Again this made my very nervous.
After much investigation I was able to resolve the issue myself.
This is the only reason why I’ve given it 4 stars, otherwise it would have scored 5 stars
The HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Colour Printer with 6 months of instant Ink with HP+ has truly transformed my printing experience. As someone who frequently relies on a printer for various tasks, this all-in-one printer has exceeded my expectations in terms of convenience, quality, and cost savings.
Right out of the box, the printer’s setup was a breeze. The clear instructions and user-friendly interface made the installation process quick and hassle-free. Connecting it to my devices was seamless, and I was up and running in no time. The compact design fits perfectly in my workspace, and the white color adds a touch of modern elegance.
The real star of the show is the 6 months of instant Ink with HP+. This feature has revolutionized the way I print. With instant Ink, the printer is always connected to the internet, and it automatically orders ink for me when I’m running low. This eliminates the frustration of suddenly realizing I’m out of ink in the middle of an important printing task. The cost savings are significant, as I no longer need to worry about purchasing expensive ink cartridges separately.
Printing quality is exceptional. Whether I’m printing documents, photos, or graphics, the colours are vibrant and true to life. The all-in-one functionality allows me to scan and copy effortlessly, and the results are consistently sharp and clear. The printer’s performance has been reliable and consistent, even during high-volume printing sessions.
The HP+ feature further enhances the printer’s value. With HP+, I get access to exclusive benefits such as extra cloud storage and enhanced security features. The printer’s firmware updates automatically to ensure peak performance, and the added layer of security gives me peace of mind in today’s digital landscape.
Additionally, the HP Smart app has become an indispensable tool. It allows me to print from virtually anywhere using my smartphone or tablet. The app’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making printing on the go a seamless experience.
The printer’s energy efficiency is commendable as well. It goes into sleep mode when not in use, reducing energy consumption without compromising on convenience. This aligns with my commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
In summary, the HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Colour Printer with 6 months of instant Ink with HP+ is a game-changer in the world of home printing. Its effortless setup, exceptional printing quality, and HP+ features make it a valuable addition to any home or small office. The convenience of automatic ink ordering and the cost savings it offers, coupled with the printer’s sleek design and user-friendly features, make it a standout product that I wholeheartedly recommend.

All-in-one functionality with reliable scanning and copying
HP Smart app for convenient mobile printing

Energy-efficient design aligning with sustainability goals
Cons:
None to mention; the printer has surpassed my expectations in every aspec
I needed a printer for very occasional use and didn’t want to spend the earth. I shopped around and the same printer was selling at full RRP of 50+ in-store and online. I’d read reviews about the ink subscription but avoided signing up as read there is the potential for being locked into having to buy expensive HP ink (as the printer rejects it after firmware updates/subscription sign up) rather than third party cheaper refills. Given I would literally print maybe 20 sheets a year, it seemed unnecessary. Might be good for someone who prints a lot. I’ve printed both colour and black and white and the resolution is good. Printer is relatively small and fits nicely out the way in a cupboard. Set up is relatively easy through the app.
I needed a new all in one printer as my aging Epson had so many problems with print heads blocking up and I was fed up of cleaning them with an expensive cleaning kit every time I wanted to print something. I am not a heavy user, typically I’ll print something every few months so I do not need anything expensive. This HP was on offer at only 34.00. Bargain. I looked for compatible cartridges and found they are easily refilled with a filling kit. It is as simple as injecting ink into the hole in the cartridge and putting it back into the machine and the cartridge can be filled up to 30 times. Perfect for me and better for the Planet, not that I’m an eco warrior, it just makes sense.
Anyway, to the printer. Out of the box was simple, a couple of blue tapes and click in the cartridges. Done in minutes. Connecting to the internet seemed to go well, It did turn out a faff because I typed the internet password wrong and because it was blanked out I didn’t realise so it wouldn’t work, then it insisted on not wanting to connect.I unplugged it and went through it all again typing the correct password and it connected. I was using the HP Smart app which is pretty intuitive and easy to use. When it was connected my Laptop for some reason always defaulted to Microsoft one note instead of the printer. I’m not techie ( can you tell) When I realised I had to set the HP as my default printer Bingo! All fell into place and it worked. Performance wise, it is slower than the Epson I had but as I am not a home office user it does it’s job well for me. I ordered a filling kit for the ink for 19.00 that is a massive saving on ink as the starter cartridges only have about 1ml of ink, basically enough to get the printer set up so they will run out in less than a week. For the money paid I can’t complain. It does the job.
Also photocopies and easy to set up with all the instructions. Also came with tri colour ink and black ink
Does everything I need. Print and scan for basic home office needs. Works well with the app and get 6 months free ink
The first computer and printer brand I know, is HP. In the years ’70 they commissioned a computer for Optical Calculus in a company in Europe. The HDD had few hundreds kg, the computer itself occupied a huge room, 1/6 of an entire industrial floor, and the inertial UPS system in the basement had few tonnes. After 2005 I heard they buyed back the computer 100% functional.
It is a good printer. It is a bit slow when printing but it is okay for personal use . I have had it for only one month so we have a long way ahead. ( Hopefully)
It’s HP so of course it’s a bloody faff with their crap HP Smart app, but the printer is fine and good value for money. Make sure you buy some ink with it because the starter cartridges don’t last long.
Came super fast, easy to set up and download the app.
Can print from phone with Bluetooth.
Amazing printer and looking forward to many happy years printing with this cost efficient printe
The product arrived this morning, and I’ve printed a couple pages in black and white, and colour, to test it out. So far seems great. Easy to connect to mobile via WiFi. My PC doesn’t have a WiFi or Bluetooth card, so just be mindful that you won’t be able to connect the printer to a Network if you don’t have WiFi or Bluetooth abilities.
The big problem, however, was getting the damn thing to present properly. The information button is constantly amber.
I followed the set up manual to the T, used HP’s online manuals, heck even searched reddit, to no avail.
Eventually worked out that I needed a firmware update, which helped. But that wasn’t mentioned in any troubleshooting places I looked, so beware.
Despite the update, the Information button remained amber. After printing the diagnostic sheet, the printer ‘told’ me I wasn’t using HP Instant ink… However I was using the ink sent by HP with the printer!
My ‘supply status’ on my HP profile confirmed that the ink was not HP Instant Ink, but instructed that I continue to use the ink until my 6 months trial is up. So may potentially have amber information light for next 6 months?
Anyway, good product, fiddly set up.
We have always required some kind of home office for education and work.
As technology advances, we adapt accordingly, so our set-up is constantly evolving.
I was recently revamping my spare room to be more aesthetically pleasing.
I’ve always used this brand of printer and am a huge fan of HP ink, but our previous printer had been through the wars and not functioning brilliantly.
However, in this digital age, I’ve found the need for a printer becomes less, so I’ve held off in replacing it.
I saw this printer on Amazon Warehouse at a great price and thought it looked ideal for my needs.
I’m absolutely delighted with it and I’ll tell you why that is:
Compact design and a sleek look – ideal for a mini office/spare bedroom.
Simple to operate right out of the box and compatible with HP Instant Ink and the HP app.
Quiet and efficient with all of the features that I require in a printer.
I enjoy photography and it has a good enough print quality to use for it.
The RRP is worth paying, but an Amazon warehouse deal (perfect product, open/damaged box) made it an absolute steal.
I’m happy to say I would buy it again and absolutely recommend this product.
Easy set up as long as you give it time to warm up. To put the inks in but was very easy to set up for air printing. Impressed with it all.
I was upgrading from my old Deskjet F2280, and assumed that this would also be plug and play, and could be located any where in my home. HP tell me it should be no more than 1m from the main router to work properly.
After 2 hours reading all the on line guides, uninstalling and re-installing a couple of times, and 4 hours on the phone to HP support, I could not get the printer to print from any of my devices, so returned it for replacement (excellent turn around from Amazon).
With a few more hours telephone help from HP, the new printer does print and scan on Windows 10 and ios devices, but struggles to print on my android 10 tablet and does not recognise the scanner at all. I am waiting for HP Tech Support to get back to me with a resolution or work around.
I feel sure that it will work fully soon, but can only give the printer 4 stars.
Hopefully my experience is not typical.
Such a good price for a home printer and 6 months of ink (considering ink can be 30+ each time!)
Fairly easy to set up with both android phone and ipad air.
Occasionally doesn’t connect but its an easy fix.
The ink plan is a bargain if you use the printer regularly. Perfect for families or small businesses who will use the printer fairly frequently.
The app is super easy to use.
Also great if you need to print things to scale. As a sewist this is incredibly important to me as my patterns need to be printed to scale and not enlarged/shrunk.
And if you use code vghf2c you’ll get some free ink!
When buying a printer under 50 you think you’ve got a bargain BUT for me I find a printer I like the look of then before buying check the ink prices and size. That’s where you’re going to really spend your money.
This printers ink cartridges are the smallest I’ve ever seen. It scans and prints fine and the ink price is better than most (but still too expensive in my opinion).
The noise level while printing is average and it takes a good minute after switching on to be ready to print.
Wi-fi set up is ok but you can not use the software (which you have to download to computer or phone) without signing up to one of their plans. I don’t want to have a plan OR have to sign in to print something out. Luckily most phones/computers will have their own basic printing software but still would have like to use HP’s.
This purchase replaces a secondhand HP Envy, which had lasted me for many years. This new one seems a bit plasticky compared, so I wasn’t expecting much to be fair. It was fairly easy to set up – I had to link it to my phone and it was soon ready to use. It comes with both black and colour HP cartridges, plus 6 months free ink if you sign up to HPInk. You get a code that will allow others to add an additional free 3 Months on top to give 9 months of free printing. This is mine…please use it to get an extra 3 months for yourself! 8yzd7g – Why not get an extra 50% free, it also gives me an extra month which is also great.
The HP scans, copies, and prints – yes it is a basic model but then most of us only have basic printing needs. I’ve printed quite a lot so far, and it’s all come out properly. So I am fairly chuffed.
The code that you can use for an extra 3 months of free printing: 8yzd7g
I had two KODAK printers which served me well for many years. I had many HP printers when I was working mainly from home and they served me well too. On this occassion I needed my printer to print something for my mother’s funeral. Murphy’s law took hold and the KODAK went Phut!! So I quickly scanned Amazon and saw this printer. Ordered and delivered toute suite, great. !! Set it up on what I consider my relatively new MacBook Pro, only to be told software issue. Not what I was wanting to hear! Any way, after several calls I spoke with a chap in the Philippines. He assisted me by using my iPad and so we are up and running. Am I 100% happy ? NO, that’s why it gets 4 * . The Scanning option is good, but not great, using Text option for text does not produce quality reproductions . Photo graphs ok for transferring to MAC/I-Pad 4/5. Using HP Photo paper dores produce a good quality print. If I was not in a rush,, may be I would spend more on a better spec. on the whole happy for my use. Plus the INK offer is a good one.
Basic printer but happy with quality and easy to use so convenient to just print from phone. Ideal for my needs odd prints of forms needed here and there
It’s perfect for what I need. I have been able to hook it up to my phone and laptop easily. Prints quickly. Received my first free replacement ink cartridges through the instant ink trial. Very happy with my purchase.
A nice looking printer and will do all that I need and at a reasonable price. The only problem I had my first order didn’t arrive so had to wait a little longer after contacting Amazon but received now.
Good size and light colour.Top quality and very good value
Definitely worth buying this… so simple and easy to setup and all done through an app. For the price and simple setup, highly recommend this!
I was in two minds over this reading some good reviews and then some awful reviews but took a chance as it was a very good price. I have to say I don’t know where all these negative reviews came from, it was very easy and simple. I printed 20/30 pages from my phone to check it and it was all fine.
I cannot get the printer to automatically print on both sides of the paper. At the moment I have to print one side Thurman manually turn the page over to print the other side.
Really misleading set up. Prompts you to download apps that you don’t need and are totally useless! Eventually discovered I didn’t need them at all and was able to print. Print quality is good for home printing needs.
Really happy with my purchase, was initially worried after reading others reviews about set up. But it couldn’t have been easier and love the fact that I can have an ink subscription. Works well, print is good. Great home office printer.
