Gives the photos a vintage look but not too much…prints great and fast! I love that it’s small and with a case can take it anywhere! Love that anyone can connect and print their photos too!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt is a great printer! BUT I received 2-3 different error codes when first using it. It “overheated” and stayed in that error for over an hour while cold until I looked up how to reset the device and that fixed it. It also says the paper is “jammed” every 3-4 prints- I literally just open and tilt the paper out and slide it back in because it’s not actually jammed. It also will autocrop some parts of photos and won’t let you add those pieces back. You can get between 4-7 photos done normally before it has over heated. It takes a very long time to get everything printed.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this photo printer because I currently scanning in a reprinted some of my grandfather old photos. I was very impressed by the quality of the pictures even in black and white. The sprocket app is very user friendly and has a lot of fun and useful features.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWant a portable printer that you can slip into a bag or jacket pocket, produces the biggest prints possible, and has an extremely convenient print delivery system? Welcome to the Sprocket 3×4!

So uses Zink tech ie the ink’s embedded in the paper. Pro: super convenient when travelling, lightweight and slim boxes of 10 sheets of paper per pack, 5 packs per box. Super easy to travel with, and unlike instax/Polaroid, you don’t have to worry about xray machines damaging your undeveloped photo sheets.
Downside is Zink is not the most vibrant of methods when it comes to colour reproduction, and Occasionally you will get banding across the whole photo. Not sure how to fix the latter, but the former it helps to whack up your saturation – just let rip, until your subject on screen is all apple cheeked and florid, as once you print it out that’ll translate to a healthy pink glow on paper. Of course, tweak to your personal preference.

One niggle that makes me sad, is every image comes with a fat white border – so the prints are 3×4″,but the paper is about 1/4″ more on each side – its such a shame you can’t use all the paper real estate and print borderless images, like with the smaller sizes of Zink printers.

Overall, very much recommended – I’ve also got the Instax Wide Bluetooth printer – which Was going to be used on holiday, but am now deffo taking this HP Sprocket 3×4 instead – 50 sheets of this large Zink paper about fits into the same space taken up by the 10 print film cartridge of Instax Wide (and with tweaking, colour isn’t far off either).
