Absolutely amazing! Wish I’d ordered it sooner. Amazing picture quality and sound. Signal reaches all around the house. Battery life lasts me 2-3 evenings with no charging. App is perfect. Love love love. Fully recommend
I like the fact that you can play music through the camera and add a night light if you wish though I do neither (thank god for Disney lullabies on Spotify) I also really like that you can watch the camera on your phone. However, when it is on night vision, the picture quality is terrible on the monito
Overall, a brilliant product with ease of use. Perfect clear HD picture quality – night & day. Easy to use function and the extras are a great addition. If you losing your hair searching for the best value for money WiFi baby monitor then this most definitely by far is the superior choice for all parents. A great purchase to look over your little one without any negative comments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
At the time of this review this nursery pal camera is 116.12 instead of 199.99 which is a great discount. But please read this before purchasing.
So i was super excited to try this, i already have a hubble camera in the house, but i found out that this has to be a separate app as it is a nursey cam? so make sure you download the correct app and dont sit there for an hour wondering why it wont connect.
The camera arrives and the firmeware need updating, but it wont stay connected long enough or keep a wifi signal long enough to update the firmware.. I contacted hubble direct and i have to say their customer service was not great, it didnt help at all. Amazon replaced the unit and tbh i hads the same issues again with the second one. So i tried for weeks with my stress levels going through the roof each time -totally wouldnt be great for a mother who was expecting their new child or new mum??
My wifi is super and i never have an issue with it but with this? nope it wouldnt connect, or it would connect and it would close down in 30 seconds saying disconnected? The screen would keep saying no signal and making the loudest beeping noise to let you know it wasnt connected? think i knew i was watching the silly thing, there is no option to turn this beeping off.
One night when i was feeling rather brave i went around the house and turned all the electrics off except my modem.. it still showed low signal but it finally updated the firmware.
It now connects when i want (on the phone app), sometimes i have issues connecting the monitor, but i then put the monitor next to the camera as i turn it on, wait for the picture to show and then it works all day.
So overall is it worth it? at this discounted price yes! would i recommend the stress? no! so if you can get someone else to set this up for you i would totally do that! once its set up and working its great but it was super stressful getting there hence losing a star.
This baby monitor is great because I can see my baby, without having to open my mobile phone and the relevant application. IT’s very to have the screen on a bedside table and watch the baby when needed. The screen resolution is great and the night vision is very good. The microphone is very sensitive and I can hear when the baby coughs or wakes up.
A baby monitor is a must have for any parent. My daughter is 3 months old and we use this when she’s in her crib upstairs and we are downstairs. The setup is very easy, just download the Hubble app. Available on Android and iOS. Also works with Alexa and Google assist but we haven’t tried that, only the app which is free to download.
The camera and parent unit is stylish and modern. I love the 5inch screen and its HD so images are very clear. The sound is also good too. There’s 2 way audio which can be handy. If connected to WiFi then you can also watch live feed through your phone when out. The parent unit also comes with a silicone bumper to protect it and comes with a small stand on the back. The parent unit alerts you instantly if there’s any sound or movement. It also displays the temperature which is great so you know if the room is too hot or cold. The only downfall is that the camera has to be plugged in constantly, not ideal if the baby isn’t near a plug socket. I’ve had to move my room around so her crib is near the plug so we don’t have to trail extension leads all over the place. On the whole this is a good quality baby monitor, although slightly pricy. So far the screens have never cut out and always had good connection. The monitor is touch screen and very easy to use.
This baby monitor feels very well made, the quality of the touchscreen monitor is much better than any other monitor I have used before.
This has 2 way talk, a room temperature sensor and light sensor also there is a cover that you can pull over the front of the camera if you need privacy whilst you are in there.
The camera itself must be plugged in to use which I personally prefer, but I know some people do not.
Overall an excellent baby monitor, but could be slightly cheaper.
Packaged and presented perfectly with great quality craftsmanship materials used. Setup is a breeze with a good link up to the mobile app which is user friendly / straight forward to use and reliable notifications for convenience and live view aswell.
So in terms of performance it mostly works well, i find with alot of these cameras the picture is sharp but there is a slight delay in the voice over feature which is fairly common like if you talk it would take a little delay to come through & its abit bumpy with my internet with a little lag, however this may not be the case for most/all.
Sharp picture day and night with reliable night vison, also the temperature is bang on and very useful feature all year round.
Some other features are nifty with lullabies and voice recording or pattern makes it more handy & decent. The sound is quality pretty good and clear too with optimal volume.
Battery works and holds well to be fair so this does make it a useful setup for
Multifunctional purposes for various people or animals that has practical features
164.28 at time of review however is slightly overpriced but at least 40 therefore id advise shopping around
This is to setup for my kid’s room in case of isolation or online lessons take place, I cannot access to his room but it is good that I can observe what is happening in the room to make sure he is good and well. I particularly like the two-way communication feature, I can check him out or in case he needs help he can give me a shout and we can communicate. The picture quality is good and screen size is decent 5 inches touchscreen display. The picture quality is good, the voice is clear. I normally shut it during night time but I have tested the night function, it’s fabulous. The eye unit is in very good coverage, it’s base can rotate horizontally and tilt. There are a couple of days where my boy need to isolate at home and I turn on the monitor to check out if he is well from time to time. And he can simply yell when he need help. We find it useful.
The setup is relatively simple, Download the Hubble app, it support android and Apple. Scan the QR code and will guide you through the setup. The app actually has more functions than the monitor itself. The build is a good quality build for both the camera unit and the touch screen unit. It support 2.4GHz and WiFi support. There are more functions such as room temperature sensor, games, lullabies etc….it maybe a good soothing for babies.
Overall I find it very useful as I need this to make sure my kid is safe while they are along in the room and I can constantly checking the status and initiate conversation with him. Worth the price.
Don’t be scared paying a bit more this baby monitor, I know similar designed cameras can be bought even for 20 but this one has a way better built quality, audio and video quality, and numerous features packed into this baby monitor
The camera has a built-in mic and speaker for two-way talk also a room temperature sensor and light sensor. The light sensor will automatically switch on the night vision when it gets darker in the room. It has a privacy shield on it which is handy of you breastfeed your baby and you don’t want other to see this on the parent monitor.
There is one think I must mention, and this is the only bad point I found in this product that the camera doesn’t have a built-in battery it must be connected to the DC adapter all the time to be used. I guess Hubble decided to do not have a battery but instead they were able to make a smaller camera. Make since if you only planning to use it in the same place all the time, but a built-in battery would make this baby monitor system more portable.
The size of the parent monitor is a bit bigger than an iPhone Pro, more like a size of a Nintendo Switch. This one has a built-in battery, which last for about two to three, it really depends on the use. There is a battery level and charge indicator above the screen which goes from green to red where green is when fully charged and red when needs to be charged. A beep fill indicates when needs to be plugged in or if it’s not connected to the camera. I’ve seen many similar portable baby monitors displays before, but this is the most advanced and probably the thinnest one as well. The screen is touch sensitive and it’ super bright, I even had to set the brightness lower which had a positive effect on the battery life as well. The picture quality is a little bit noise, doesn’t have a great resolution, if you look close to it, you can clearly see the individual pixels but good enough for a Baby monitor
I can’t say too much about the distance this two will work, we are using the camera in the room next to ours separated with plasterboard wall, but I assume a good 5–10-meter range would be expectable from it. With the arrows in the side, it can be set the cameras’ tilt and pan with some limitation as this is only a digital pan and tolt zoom and not a mechanical one. By pushing the mic button, you can talk and use the camera as a speaker.
To get out the most of this baby monitor you need to download an app available for both Android and iOS devices. There is a QR code on the box, in the user manual also shows on the screen just scan that code and will take you to the app store where you can download the app for free. The app is very intuitive and user friendly and enable lot of extra feature features. To be honest if you decide to use the App it makes the parent unit useless as the app know the same feature plus more.
App Features:
Motion and sound detection alerts
Get notified when there’s activity, sent straight to your phone
Motion triggered image snapshots
Two-way audio — talk back to get someone’s attention
Take snapshoots
Chose music to play in the camera’s speaker
Share the video
Works with Google and Alexa assistance
Digital zoom
Temperature control
Pre-loaded lullabies
and many more
If you connect the compare with the WIFI you can even watch the live picture on the go while you are away from home which is great feature if you chose to use this system as a pet monitor as well. If you willing to pay monthly subscription you can store videos for up to 30 days in a Cloud service.
I’m super happy with the product, I know it seems a bit expensive for this price, but the quality speaks for itself. I highly recommend for any parents with new-born baby or pet owner as well
I got this to use in a sick relative’s room as the camera offers two way communication from the sick bed and the monitor allows me to see what is happening and to check that everything is okay. The clarity of sound is good, as is the range of camera to monitor and back again, despite some thick walls along the way. There was no need to pair as the camera and monitor worked straight out of the box.
The camera is easy to pan using the handset – just a swipe of the finger and you can turn the camera through 270 degrees to change the view, so you don’t have to have perfect placement straightaway. The camera has a privacy guard that can be manually pulled down to cover the lens, which ensures privacy for the patient when required; the guard is easy to operate.
Whilst I wouldn’t wish this need on anyone, the combination of camera and monitor will work in most sickroom scenarios and enable you to keep tabs on the patient whilst also offering the chance for conversation.
I got this item due to my daughter has autism. The camera and monitor is easy to set up as you just position camera and then plug in the monitor. The picture is clear and the sound is good. I can keep an eye on my autism daughter when she in a downstairs. Love the talk back feature allowing me to talk to my daughter. Also I can connect to my phone and get live alerts when child moves ect. It’s easy to set up with so many fab features.
The Hubble baby camera system arrived safely, well protected and in immaculate condition.
In the box we have
– a round head camera
– a monitor
– 2 main charging adaptors type C to power both devices
– manual instruction
As soon I connected the camera to main socket via provided adaptor and switched on the monitor, both immediately connects ro each other. We don’t need to do any settings or WiFi connections. That’s very handy and straightforward.
We are offered the app to download for those on the go who want have access to the camera when are at work and other half or nany take care of the baby. That’s also could be practical safety measure for busy parents. I didn’t get the app as I didn’t need to. The monitor is all I need.
Camera is brilliant, well made. Offers good quality pictures and sound. It requires constant connection to the electricity and its not rechargeable. It has good quality night vision too.
Camera has privacy cover which also can be a good thing if the camera is in parents bedroom where also baby sleeps.
The monitor comes in silicone protection case (nice to have). Monitor is lightweight and works when plugged in for charge or when fully charged.
We have instant access to the view camera is set for but we also can rotate the camera up, down and sideways just by swiping finger on the monitor. That’s fantastic feature. Thanks to this option we don’t need to manually stand the camera.
On monitor we have setting that we can speak to the child, play some bed time story (3 are available on the device already). But the downside is that once I press play the bed time story, I couldn’t switch it off. After disconnecting the camera from main power, camera switched off, I also switched the monitor off and started again. That was annoying that I couldn’t control it. Apart from that we have some games to play which are fun but slow a bit.
We can switch to camera view again after playing a game by pressing camera icon.
On monitor we can see room temperature and number of cameras connected, which is 1. Monitor also have mini torch feature, alarm, brightness setting, volume setting.
All in all I decided to rate it at 4 stars because this camera system could be more improved-the monitor could be more responsive and the story reading feature should have switch off option.
I was suprised to find very few reviews for Hubble nursery cameras.
First of all, the camera seems quite well built and set up was fairly easy.
The main problem is the connection from the camera. It keeps dropping signal to the touchscreen monitor and my mobile phone. It can be working fine, but then after a few minutes the picture on the touchscreen monitor dissapears and a loud continuous beep goes off to alert you. Similarly the phone just says that it has lost connection. The only way to resolve is to turn the camera on and off.
Given the phone connects through WiFi (which is fast and strong in my house) and the touchscreen uses its own seperate connection, the problem must be with the camera itself?
Clearly, a baby monitor that loses connection randomly is of no use to anyone and is more harmful than not having a monitor at all.
I have tried multiple hard resets of the camera but this hasn’t solved the issue.
I have contacted Hubble for their advice but I’ll either be returning or trying for a replacement.
EDIT – FIRMWARE UPDATES HAVE FIXED ALL THESE ISSUES. VERY PLEASED NOW, ASIDE FROM BATTERY ON PARENT UNIT RUNS DOWN QUICKLY
Tried this against few other manufacturers on the market.
The signal was by far the best easily travelling 3-4 times the distance from the camera before the monitor lost signal.
Picture quality and the panning is great.
Touch screen could be a little more responsive and 2 way talk better. But overall best monitor I’ve found on the market when comparing to others with a dedicated monitor without relying on phone app/wifi
Next day delivery, excellent quality value for money just what every parent needs for peace of mind
