I never thought I would call a bike “CUTE” but this bike is super cute abd a great starter bike for a 3 to 5 year old child. It’s very girly and from a brand I had not heard from but that doesn’t stop it being of a top notch quality. It arrives in a big brown unmarked box so ideal for hiding for Christmas or Birthdays as only the brand logo was on the side. Lets put it this way it lay in plain sight of it’s intended recipient for 6 months without her knowing what it was (my Niece). It does come in bits so needs assembly before usage and a full set of instructions is included. It’s mainly several shades of pink with white in colouring with 12 inch wheels. It has a cute removable bag on the handle bars and pink stabilisers are included so no need to race to the shops to purchase. They are a plastic wheel but do the job as intended. This is just a brilliant starter bike.

We bought this as an early birthday present for my 4year old. It took a few minutes to build and she was out on it for hours! Definitely worth the money

    My niece’s favourite present.
Bright colours. Arrives partly assembled, and easy to safely put together. Box is quite heavy. May need two to accept delivery.
Aesthetic. Good value for quality of parts. Pretty basket and bright pink colouring.

This bike was easy to put together and seems sturdy enough. Nice little starter bike for little ones, that won’t break the bank, especially as they grow out of them so quickly.

gave a present to my niece and she was so happy to receive such a pretty bike. has a cute bag at the front and also got stabilisers. the structure is very good and feels solid and of fantastic quality.

I have no extensive experience of engineering or assembling items, but this little bicycle was very straight forward and intuitive to put together.

It arrives in a big box and in 4 pieces. The main frame (Wheels and pedals already attached), the Seat, The handlebars and the stabilisers.
Stabilisers attached simply by squeezing to ball latches together then slotting them up into their frame at the rear wheel. The handlebars similarly slot down on to the front slot and the seat simply tightens on using the single nut at the seat base, once you have your desired height. This took me about 10-15 minutes and most of that was un-packaging and making sure I had everything before assembling.

Once built the bike looks great, small and colourful. My daughter instantly liked it and wanted to play around with it. She particularly loves the little bell. The tyres appeared well pumped up from the get go and ready to use.

It also came with about 6 user manuals in various languages. I had a quick look at one of them but the manual shows you how to literally put everything on the bike together from scratch. Where as it arrives half built. So maybe something to keep in a drawer but to be honest you can dismantle this fairly easy. Even for a novice.

Overall very good and looking forward to teaching my daughter to ride her bike. (She is almost 3)

    Lovely bicycle

This is a really lovely bike in a vibrant bright red.
It’s very sturdy, and seems very good quality as well.
It’s very easy to put together with only a few things to attach if most of it is already built for you.
I’ve never heard of this brand before but would definitely look at buying this brand again for a child’s bike.

The bike is great – my daughter loves it and she started using it more and more – hopefully by summer she will be more than confident to ride without the help of the extra wheels. I found a broken small piece inside, a meal, but could not find where has it from and i am not very sure if that was a mistake in the package or something indeed is broken.

    Not very much to assemble

Upon reveal, I knew right away that it was a good quality bicycle. The grips on the handles are the good kind that won’t tear off, and the pedals are tough enough to bear the weight of boisterous children – these are the first two most important things to consider when buying a bicycle. Next, I gave a thumbs up to the breaks, seat (well-padded and comfortable), and the cover on the chain is a good design, although there’s a possibility of it coming off by the looks of it. Yes, for the wheels, they’re good ones, but when it comes to the pavement, there’s really nothing we can do but advise our kids to watch out for sharp objects. Installation is easy as long as you have any handy tools you might need to tighten some parts out. My husband had to install everything, and he made sure everything was aligned, especially the breaks, and pumped the tyres.
It’s a good quality bicycle, and I would recommend i

Came well packaged and was quick and easy to put together – just need a couple of additional tools not included and to put a bit more air in the tires. The bag on the front does look a bit cheap but the rest of the bike looks brilliant.

This bike is really good quality and does have good strong basic structure. The only thing I would really comment on when assembling this bike for our Daughter is that the handle bars welding was a little out which causes the handle bars to be slightly off set to the centre but it has not caused any issue when our daughter rides on it.
Our Daughter is 10 years old and of slim build and it is perfect size for her to learn on as a starting bike due to her being a bit of a slow learner compared to her 10 month older sister.
However apart from that little bit with the handle bars welding everything else is perfectly fine from a adults point of view.
Would certainly make any childs day and put a huge smile on their face!

The bike arrived safely, and it come well packed and protected inside a large but slim box.

The bikes requires a bit of assembly, patience, and setting up before its ready to go, I also needed some tools which the instructions said weren’t required. The handlebars need connecting, the seat needs to be installed, the stabilisers connected, and air pumped into the tyres. I required some tools to tighten the nuts on the seat (which was meant to be quick release according to the user guide), adjust both brakes (as they didn’t function), and set the correct angle for the brake levers (allen keys were provided for this part).

I’m pleased with the overall quality of the bike and in general its well-made and put together. The only issue I had trouble with was the handlebars not slotting into the frame, and after repeated tries it finally went in and I could tighten the plastic collar. I’m really not keen on this design as it didn’t fill me with much confidence, and I had to give it a right smack to get it to go in.

The bike looks great in red and white, with some pink accents here and there. The stickers aren’t perfectly placed in all areas (some will come off with wash). The hand grips feel comfortable to use, the seats a little on the hard side, it comes with a bell attachment and removable handbag, and the chain is safely hidden away under a cover. Once the child gains more confidence, the stabilisers can easily be removed using the quick release mechanism.

Overall, I think it’s a pretty decent bike all around, barring the slight installation issue with the handlebars. At around 150 I feel its priced slightly above similar bikes found at other retailers but its not too out there. For a little girl I think it’s a great starting step and I feel any child will be very happy with it!

    Decent quality and looks great!

Once assembled this bike is sturdy and certainly looks the part. We think boys and girls would be proud to own it (although it is described as a girl’s bike.)

Assembly literally took 30 minutes. The only tool I needed to supply was 14mm spanner to tighten the seat.

First you attach the stabilisers — press and click.
Attach handle bars – remove the black plastic delivery protection bungs, push the stem into the frame and tighten the white plastic fitting.
Insert the saddle post, tighten in position.
Twist the pedals until they click into position.
Tighten the brake levers using the two suppled Allen keys.
    Adjust the brakes.
    Ready to go.

Front and back and wheel reflectors are already in place. A bell is already on the handlebars.

There is an ISO 8098 sticker on the frame. ISO 8098:2014 specifies safety and performance requirements and test methods for the design; assembly and testing of fully assembled bicycles.

I do have a niggle — quite a big niggle, in fact.
I am a Quality Assurance professional so the first thing I did is consult the manual. The front page states “Read this manual completely before commencing assembly”. I did this and for a so-called simple assembly bike they would be daunting to most people. As someone who has built their own bike and maintained I understood them and they made sense, but not for an easy assemble bike. They were designed for assembling a standard bike.
Then I came across some folded A4 sheets, each in a different language. These described the steps I describe above. These sheets should have been in a prominent position.
I have not deducted stars for this, but I believe the supplier should address this.

Easy to assemble, a smart looking kids bike

Nice high quality bicycle for a 6 year old. It seems very sturdy and came mostly assembled. The colors are beautiful and vibrant! She loves the pouch and the bell and I love the fact that it has a kickstand!

The brake works really well and all set right out of the box. The chain is well seated on the gears and her feet are plenty far away from them so I am not worried about her getting caught up in them.

Overall, She’s been riding it for a few weeks now and we have had no problems. The seat and handle bars are adjustable which is great so she can grow with it. Great quality.

We were delighted to test the 18″ red & white version of this Huffy Glimmer girls bike. Suitable for 6-8 years.

Very high quality bike, looks gorgeous. Easy to assemble and nicely sturdy once assembled. Comes with stabilisers and front carry bag.

So this bike is an upgrade for our kids first bike. I’ll admit it, I chose badly on that bike and went for the price rather than thinking about it. Well you know what they say, buy cheap buy twice. This is the buy twice choice and I wasnt making the same mistake again.

So first off, I knew this was the real deal based on the weight of the box. 10kg in total.

So all the parts are well wrapped to avoid any damage in transport.

Assembly, well the instructions are clear and it took about 10 mins in total to get it up and done.

So the big difference between this and the cheap ones, Its mostly the wheels. cheapo ones have this horrible hard plastic round things, I cant call them tyres. they lack any traction and just spin, the brakes will never work either. This one has proper tyres that are blown up, its results in much more traction, the brakes actually work and to be honest its a bike rather than something pretending to be a bike.

This is a good product, any child would be very lucky to have one.

First thing that impressed me was the nice vibrant red accented with white, which is a great combination and looks very nice.
Comes in parts to keep it compact for delivery, but relatively easy to assemble.
Has a reflector at the wrong and comes with stabilisers to help children learn to ride a bicycle.
Single handle operated brakes for the front and back wheels.
Comes with a little carry pouch in the front for children to carry things in.
Says it’s suitable for children between ages 6 and 8, which of course is just based on the average height, but I would say there’s more life to it than two years in general, as it is quite a sizeable bike for children.
Labelled “girls bike” but I can see this being perfectly fine for boys. Colour schemes is what determines this usually, but red and white are perfectly fine for boys in my opinion.
150.00 isn’t too bad for a brand new child’s bike, and the quality of this feels nice and sturdy, so it feels reliable. I would say this is a good purchase and happy to recommend it.

A bike is a must have for any young child and this fits the bill quite nicely.

There has been a lot of debate about balance bikes vs normal pedal bikes — maybe I’m more old school but I certainly prefer the pedal bikes for simplicity of transition as kids get older. This bike comes in a vibrant pink so definitely only suitable for a little girl. The package itself was nicely boxed, whereby the majority of the product is fairly well assembled within which should make for minimal setup effort. The packaging s sufficiently protected the contents and was pleasingly not excessive in terms of of wasteful cardboard and polystyrene. So, all positive from that perspective.

Now, with a bike that comes mostly assembled, you would assume the setup required would be quite minimal — WRONG! It actually took me quite some time to get the drive shaft to clip into the handlebars and I’m still not sure why it was so complex to do so. It probably didn’t help that the instructions seemed to cover about 10 varieties of the same bike and assumed nothing was put together with different clips etc so it was almost more confusing to follow them than to use my own intuition. Anyhow, once those pieces were all clipped together, we were good to go pretty quickly from there including the inevitable tyre pumping exercise (of course you’ll need a pump for this separately to pump the tyres). There’s also the assumption that you have a spanner of some sort to tighten some of the bolts. Fortunately, I had one.

It features a nice little girly bag for the front and with its pink seat, my girl generally really likes it for the colour and vibrancy – maybe even more than the ride on it but she does enjoy that too! The little bell seems to have a nice ring to it and my daughter loves using that to announce her presence (it’s meant to be shiny silver but there was a few minor scuffs on this). The stabilisers are a nice easy addition as they clip on and off with minimal faff of screws and bolts. The seat height adjustment and handlebar adjustments do need the use of a spanner. That said, it is an easy manipulation of the nuts and bolts there. I didn’t need to tweak the brakes on it from pulling it out the box which was handy as they’re usually a right pain to alter but they seem to work nicely and grip the tyres evenly without too much effort.

Generally, the steering seems good as well for some of the tighter turns. All in all, it feels like a solid unit that isn’t going to fall apart at any point so I feel quite confident with my young ones on it (with a helmet) which is all important when purchasing something of this nature.

Overall I would recommend this product. I would say the price is on the high side, given the limited time span you get from an age appropriate product. Then again, you pay for what you get sometimes and there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with this bike.

    On your bike!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersComes well packed in cardboard box, cabled tied with good protection to all paint work. Out the box you realise there’s minimum assembly. The stabiliser wheels are in a separate box, with the handle bar and seat cable tied to frame. Just need to fit the handlebar and seat to the frame, add the stabilisers with the quick release mechanism, inflate the tyres, adjust the brakes and the bike is ready to go.

This bike gets 5 stars for quality, parts and looks. A beautiful blend of colours – light pink, deep pink and white make this a little girl’s dream bike. A sturdy and well painted frame with quality components, including 12 inch wheels complete with brakes, reflectors and bell provides a roadworthy bike. It also comes with small pink bag attached to handlebar and glimmer comfy seat.

The only negative is the installation manuals – 8 different manuals provided in different languages seems like a huge waste of paper. The manual was also very cycle generic rather than specific to this bike. It would be better with a quick installation guide, particularly to explain the handlebar fixing (which is not as detailed in the manual). But the bike still deserves top rating for quality, looks and the quick release stabiliser wheels.

    Excellent quality

This bike is amazing. The quality is really good and it is super easy to put together. The bag is a bit basic, but it’s not the main feature, so not a big deal. Stabilisers make it perfect for kids getting used to a bike. I can’t fault it at all.

Gorgeous little bike to look at and to ride (says my daughter). Suits the bill perfectly. It’s a great size for her age group allowing a bit of growth and the colours are lovely. It was easy enough to put together on my own though may have been faster with two people. It is sturdy when she rides it and I feel confident it’s safe for her which is important to me. She absolutely adores the bike, the cute little bag, it seems like a lot of thought was put into the small details. It’s quite expensive at 100 but you really can tell it’s lovely quality and will last her until she outgrows it. Very girly with pink and purple but that’s just gender stereotypes, she loves it.

This arrived in a double walled solid cardboard box with branding on the outside. Once opened everything is very well packed and protected with card and foam. You get a large pack with manuals and bike details with different manuals covering a multitude of languages and a small quick and easy assembly sheet along with two hex keys.

After unpacking everything I followed the sheet and started the assembly. The unpacking of everything takes longer than the actual assembly with everything slotting together and locking in place fairly easily. You have to make sure the handle bars lock into the front wheel section and this is then tightened by hand nice and securely. You do need a spanner to secure the seat in position and the two supplied hex keys are used to tighten the brake levers in the desired position. I used an adjustable spanner to set the height for the seat and the only other adjustment I had to do was to adjust the rear brake by loosening the bolt and moving the cable slightly so they gave good contact. You will need a pump to inflate the tyres and the stabilisers just lock into place.

Impressions once complete: everything seems really well finished and the bike has a nice bright look to it. Assembly is really straight forward as nearly everything is already attached and set in the correct position. The locking system means you only need tools to set the saddle and brake levers. The bike seems very sturdy with the stabilisers stopping it tipping over.

My youngest daughter is six years old and has never had a bike before, only scooters and tricycles so this was ideal for her to try out. My daughter has been out riding this every day since it arrived, and at first as you would expect she found the peddle system and brakes a bit strange to get used to but after a short time she was riding round and steering well. As the days have gone by she has greatly improved and is riding round with confidence now. The stabilisers have worked well and stopped her falling off along with getting used to the brakes and being able to stop.

Overall in my opinion this is an ideal first bike for a young child. It is very easy to assemble and I found it to be very sturdy along with looking great. Everything is set up ready to ride once you have pumped up the tyres and found a spanner to fix the seat in position. My daughter loves it and it has certainly been in my opinion an ideal first bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great first bike

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this bike in the pink and purple size 16 inch wheels. This bike comes almost fully assembled, the frame and gears and front wheel comes already attached all we had to do was take off the packaging and secure the seat and handlebars as well as the stabiliser wheels.

Assembling this bike was pretty easy please note no tools are provided so you will need to get your tool box out for this . The pedals had to be folded out into position the seat was attached and tightened and the handlebars slot in and click into position we did have a little trouble doing this at first not sure what we were doing wrong after finding some videos for huffy assembling online we soon realised we had to loose the white cap before slotting in. The stabilisers also take seconds to fit it just clicks in.

Overall nice sturdy bike which i hope will last a few years the only thing i would say it’s a bit pricey for a kids bike the quality is good but we have a problem with keeping the plastic case that encases the bike chain keeps popping out slightly with all out attempts it clicks back in but then pops out again see picture provided . Doesn’t effect the use of the bike but for the price i would have expected no quality issues.

My daughter is delighted with the bike and the size is perfect for her she’s 4 but pretty tall for her age i would say this bike will be perfect for her for a few years.

Perfect first bike for my 4 year old
