I’ve had this tripod for over 2 years now, and I heard before that the plastic versions get worn out pretty quickly and the tripod starts tipping, this is why I invested in PRO version. It was 100% worth it! It’s solid! Hold my camera even with the heavy 24-70 Lens. Don’t buy plastic JOBY, get PRO version and pay once and enjoy it for years!

I use this with a Fuji X-S10. It wraps around lots of different things, and provides a solid base for the camera.

I use a lot of Peak Design gear for camera portability and their mounting plate works well with the Joby tripod so don’t need to interchange, making the process of attaching the tripod a ten second task. The tripod itself is very light and easily fits either in or at the side of my 10L backpack.
The tripod itself is easy to use and adjusting camera angle and tilt is super quick. Legs are fairly rigid so once in position the camera is stable. With the tripod I’ve been easily able to take timed selfies on the go, take long exposure photos in low light and just generally improve photo quality where camera stability is required, without carrying a regular big bulky tripod.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love gorilla pod for many reasons. However, I find it really annoying that the pro, far more expensive version lacks the what the very basic ones have – a bubble level!!!

Ordered this as a stand to help me with recording my YouTube videos. Really enjoying this stand. It is very well made and feels premium and Hight quality.

Gives me great flexibility as to where to attach and place the camera.

Really would highly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI like how sturdy it feels, it’s also lightweight. I think it’ll serve my purposes of vlogging for personal use as well as functioning as well as a normal tripod. Being able to wrap it around things is probably my favorite part. It’ll be able to capture interesting and different angles!

I can recommend this version instead of the plastic ones that are lighter, but get loose quite quickly.

It’s a flexi tripod. I needed something for low light street photography. This thing has a ton of clever ways to stabilise my mirrorless Olympus. It’s light to carry and is much less showy than the full tripod. It feels pro standard and I trust it not to drop my gear. I’m ok with paying for that privilege.
It can’t be a full height tripod, but that’s not what I want it for. If you need a reliable flexi tripod to last a while and support up to 3kg, this is a good option.

Sony A7iii on and off in krzester Zeit.

So far the tripod is holding up very well.
Sturdy and lightweight. Works great with your standard DSLR and smaller camera lenses.
Just be careful with the ball head while using heavier equipment. When you loosen the screw and aren’t careful there’s a risk of crushing your fingers.

The GorillaPod 3K PRO Kit is very strong and great for vlogging with a mirrorless camera especially if you have an Arca Swiss plate or L bracket that stays on the camera. This makes it quick to switch between the the GorillaPod and say a full size tripod that has an Arca Swiss compatible tripod head. It does come with a small arca swiss plate that screws onto the camera if needed.

The only thing is I wish it had the 5K Pro Ball Head because that has 2 screw knobs which allows for panning without loosening the whole ball on the head whereas the 3K Pro ball head only has 1 screw knob that loosens all at once.

In saying that I’m overall very happy with the product.

Für mich das perfekte immer dabei Stativ!

It does all that the advertising says it does and does it very well. Have hung it from branches, from fences, attached it to all kinds of unlikely things and it just stays there. It has opened up all kinds of new possibilities for me for camera placement “on-the-go”. Love this thing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe tripod has good quality and light weight. I think it might be good for small cameras.

However, I tried it with my Canon EOS R + EF 16-35mm, even the total weight is just about 3 lbs, the tripod can’t always hold them firmly.

Great and really versatile, mainly for uneven & stepped surfaces for me – although can be wrapped around of course. If anything this is a little-bit too stiff in the leg-joints! I’m sure it’ll loosen a little with use though, as new it’s actually quite hard and fiddly to get the legs back into straight ‘normal tripod’ positions…. If you don’t have strong hands and fingers this may be a problem…..
Very nicely built with an excellent ball head.
I think it’s overpriced, even if it is the best out there – over 100 for this little thing is a bit high, but just about justifiable as a useful if poor value for money purchase – maybe.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSome people hate it, some people stand by it. I falls under “stand by it” category.

This is by far the most versatile tripod I have used, it can hang on the tree, railings, any round surfaces or places that disallow big travel tripods. I have decided to spend a bit more to get the revised version of Gorillapod 3k

After 6 months of use, the joints are still very stiff as if they are brand new. You could replace the plate with the peak design standard plate which is ARCA swiss standard.

Vlogging, photography and filming purposes, this tripod has served all of these purposes well.

Do not buy the older version of Gorillapod 3k, invest a bit more on the newer edition, the joint’s materials will last way longer than the older version. The only disadvantage I could think of is the height.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt is very strong, it holds my Canon EOS M50 without any problems, if u are vlogging with it in your hand for long periods your shoulder may get a little tired but other than that it’s great.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had the older gorilla pod hybrid from about 8 years ago. I worked fine for my smaller cameras at the time. However over the years, the joints got loose and couldn’t hold the camera up anymore. Also my cameras also got bigger as I upgraded to a Sony A7.

I was eyeing the 3K non-Pro, but eventually decided to go with the all metal construction of the 3K Pro. I’m glad I did since it is very well made. It uses a ballhead that is arca swiss compatible. Which is awesome because I have tons of spare mounting plates for it.

It is able to hold up my bigger camera with no issues, it grips onto poles well. I usually bring my gorillapod when I want to travel light but have the ability to shoot long exposures. This is a good alternative to my larger full sized tripod. You can use the GP as a selfie stick for vlogs. It can be used as a monopod to help stabilize your camera. There are many uses for it.

The only downside is the ballhead. I wish it would be able to be used as a panoramic head. The ball joint is locked in with only one knob. You can’t swivel the camera once it’s locked in. So it’s not really a panoramic head where you can lock the angle and position of the camera and then swivel on a 360 base. I guess you can replace it with a true 360 panoramic ballhead. I might have to do that.

Other than that it’s a great versatile tripod for travelling light.

I am new to videography. Just bought my first good camera which is a Sony a6400 with and 18-105 lens and Rode Video Micro and it holds it with no problem so far. Watched tons of videos and everyone kept recommending this tripod. I got it over the Switch Standbecause of the flexibility of it. Really loving this tripod!

I would recommend that you practice wrapping it around different objects, balancing it etc before taking it out.

So far so good. Got real low with it on some rocks, to photograph a water fall, and used it to wrap around a bridge rail to stabilize the camera, with a heavy lens. And it worked fine.
