I was sceptic when I bought this shed, after putting all the pieces together (3 people/4hours) I can say that I’m happy with it!
Very sturdy for a plastic shed and after a heavy rain , was no water inside , I can say water proof!
It looks great when up and easy to maintain. I can’t say what it was like to assemble as I got a professional to do it. It’s been up a couple of weeks in rain and wind and it’s great so fa
I bought this via a Prime offer period for a considerable and worthwhile discount – in mid/ late Autumn 2022. I guess the start of winter must be a slow sales period. Stored the flat pack items in my garage until the weather improved. Lol, just about 10 months later, up it went after I’d summoned enough courage.
I’m in my 70’s and, without going into detail, can’t manage what I once could. Darling Wifey didn’t just help, she led if I’m being fair.
For us, it was a five day build. But in temps of over 25C so involved frequent stops and relatively short days. I’m absolutely convinced that I would have done this in one day as a younger man because car engine removal was within my scope in that time frame. So, I would advise two middle years or younger fit people can build this in a day.
I’m impressed with the outcome. It’s a sturdy construction which isn’t going anywhere even without contents and will be even more so when I teem and ladle from my old wooden shed.
Since building we’ve had significant and occasionally heavy rain but not a drop has found its way inside. I think this is more to do with us being pedantic in following the build instructions rather than our innate abilities.
Two minor concerns.
The floor feels soft. I don’t doubt its fitness for purpose but I did puncture the upper surface when a part fell. I’ve since bought cheap rubber lining (the type rolled out on the floor of workman’s vans, for example) in a roll to lay over the floor.
The walls are inadequate for screwing tool holders etc to gain advantage of the vertical space available so a little inventiveness is required. The apex is quite high so it would be a shame to miss out in this aspect.
Overall, a fantastic buy and much much better than I expected.
This shed is perfect size and everything about it works perfectly. Took about 4/5 hours to make. Some parts do not align perfectly but sit well enough. It’s not leaked and I’m very pleased with it.
Assembling this shed took me 3 days. Trying to fit the roof on to 4 sides was very difficult, I had to disassemble the roof and fit it 1 side at a time which was still difficult but easier than trying to fit the roof complete. Now it is finished it looks good. The only downside of the shed is the floor is a bit flimsy. Do not try to assemble this shed if are not good at flatpacks. Maybe worth the 70 for them to assemble it for you.
This shed is amazing, solid structure, and plenty of room for all our garden stuff. We purchased the assembly service and the guys that came were amazing, delivered and fitted in just under 2 hours. Highly recommend that you use this.
Shed looks great, I used the plastic grid base purchased from Amazon instead of slabs.
I paid a local arrive to build the shed as the Amazon assembly I paid for wouldn’t build in the rain and then never arranged alternative assembly time …driver basically lied about process so he warned, use local traders. Took about 2.5hrs to build for one man
It seems sturdy and regular padlock fits the door.
Time will tell how it ages
easy to follow instructions, however, I would recommend 3 – 4 people to assemble, two to hold things in place whilst the 3rd person puts the screws in, a forth reading out the instructions and checking ahead to sort out whats next was very handy
Really happy with the shed and pad for it to be erected on site. The men that delivered the shed were polite and worked really hard and I feel were excellent, friendly and quick.
Nice shed for maintenance free and waterproof. I found the instructions not very informative with pictorial description. Could have more stickers on frames of doors R&L. Took me 11 hours on my own to construct, two people as suggested would be easier. Top side panel soffits had a curve, so alignment of roof was awkward. Conclusion nice shed, instructions could be better!
Arriving in one large box, this shed took two none DIYer a total of 6 hours to put together stopping only to have something to eat.
Instructions were easy to follow and each step was explained very well with numbered parts and screws which helped.
Everything slotted together nicely and the tool supplied helped with this process enormously.
I must admit I was quite concerned at first when 3 of the walls were in place and the structure was flapping about in the wind…but you have ti trust the process as it all came together nicely in the end , resulting in a solid feeling, stable shed that’s completely waterproof.
The fact that you can choose the location of the window is a huge bonus feature I wasn’t expecting but a nice surprise.
I would suggest you buy or borrow a electric screwdriver for the task and some ladders or something to stand on when fitting the roof would be helpful too.
All in all this is a lovely shed, easy to construct and totally maintenance free once constructed.
Highly recommend
This is an excellent product. I needed a shed but the wooden ones need looking after painting etc. This is a nice and simple fix. Perfect once it is assembled. Assembling requires 2 to 3 people to put it together and a few hours to. The roof was the hardest part to do the rest was not so bad. Now it is together and in place it is wondferful would buy another if needed without an thought.
Not easy to assemble but extremely well designed & made.
Very pleased with product at on sale price.
We love our garden shed . We bought the 6×5 and it’s quite roomy , fits garden tools , garden chairs , lawnmower and have put up a metal racking unit . It took my husband about a day & half to put up. Looks great. The only thing I would say is that we bought some extra flooring to put down as felt it needed it to protect the base.
Took 4 of us many hours, doors hang out of line. Has stayed dry inside though
Finally we have replaced our older wooden shed with this one. Hopefully it will outlast that. Time will tell.
The shed has arrived in a huge box. Nearly 80kg. Luckily there was no damage parts in the box. Everything was well labeled and the instruction booklet was straight forward. I have already prepared myself and download it before.
It was like assembling an IKEA stuff. Some bags contain extra screws!
You need a drill, ladder/step, tape measure, maybe a rubber hammer and a lot of patience. To be accurate, for two people 6 and half hour. During that time you will find yourself saying f…ck many times.
Most hardest part of the work is to assemble the floor and the roof and maybe one or two wall that has bent over a bit.
The quality looks OK but after the installation I have already seen area that has not been perfect even we tried everything and measured a dozen of times. Such as:
One side of the roof has a little curved.
The long inside beam under the peak of the roof is not clipped in properly therefore we could not screwed in the forth screw. Maybe that is why the little curve in one side of the roof.
One of the door is not leveled properly so it catches the bottom of the shed just a couple of mm.
The air ventilators has no indoor parts. It is just clicks into but I do not feel secure. And indoor part with some net would have been better option to avoid bugs goes in.
The floor does not look that sturdy. It already has a small section where it shows a tiny bit compression damage after we walked on it.
There was a couple of screws I could not screw in without drill into the designated hole because behind, there is metal.
Even with these minor issues I still think it worth the money. I hope it will not develop dump as our wooden shed.
As I have mentioned earlier, time will tell how it holds up.
A quick tip for the end: When you put the window in, do not remove the foil from it. It looks much nicer, still lets the light in plus it gives privacy to the shed.
All in all think it took just over 5 hours for just me (a little help with a few bits)
Found it easier to put the roof on and slide the middle beam support in.
Seems sturdy, just have to wait and see if it’s water tight!
Edit – After having some serious rain for a couple days, no water has entered the shed, but I’ve noticed it’s lodged between the bottom of the walls and floor!
I was a little disappointed by the size as internally the size was 6 inches short in both length and width. Otherwise a good produc
Attaching the roof proved tricky and is definitely a two man job, I also had to use a lot of flat blades knives to prise the roof onto the shed walls.
However, when it all comes together your are left with a sturdy, weatherproof and decent looking little shed.
Do not attempt without a power screwdriver. It could really use all screws being self tapping. It would save on injury because screws weren’t self tapping and the surface was plastic it was difficult to get them to bit and this caused for injury to hands when screws slipped.i really ment blood went in to the build.
I wouldn’t buy again or recommend.
The shed took us about 5 hours to assemble and is absolutely fine on the base I had already laid. It’s a good quality shed and easy enough to assemble. Great shed but would definitely not recommend the assembly.
Security wise I wouldn’t expect this to last more than a few seconds to a determined thief as the door hinges can easily be unscrewed or, most likely, prised off with a crow bar without too much effort. I won’t mark it down for that as, to be honest, most sheds are vulnerable in the same way. It seems weatherproof though and that is the main thing for me. I’m very happy with the product.
Assembling the shed was fraught with difficulties, despite having the recommended tools. The numerous struts and links that hold the panels in place have to be screwed in and there are no helpful indentations to facilitate safely getting the screws in place. In fact, getting those screws correctly fixed is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! I still have wounds on my hands healing from the tares resulting from screws skidding off the smooth, unyielding places where I was trying to insert them. I’m not swearing when I say that we have a bloody shed!
A different sort of difficulty was trying to match the roof to the upright wall panels. Exhausted, we eventually gave up, hoping that after a night’s sleep we might be in a better frame of mind. This proved to be a good move, though it took a long time to achieve success the following morning.
Over many years I have assembled many items supplied in kit form but have never previously encountered such a series of challenges as were presented by this shed. At my advanced age I doubt that I’ll ever need to assemble another, but believe me, if ever that need should arise I will pay someone to do the job for me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RISK THE STRESS OR THE PHYSICAL DAMAGE entailed in erecting a flat packed shed. They far outweigh the pleasure and satisfaction resulting from completing the task.
We were building into a corner so wouldn’t be able to get the screws into the hidden sides, but the whole thing is just light enough that you can move it around while its empty and slide it to where you need it.
The floor is pretty squishy – anything heavy will dent and flatten it, anything sharp will pierce it. We had a sheet of 12mm OSB spare so trimmed it to fit. You probably want to price this in if you’re going to be storing tools, gardening equipment, freestanding shelf units etc.
Since putting this up a couple of weeks ago we’ve had plenty of rain and some of the worst storms in decades but the shed has held up fine.
What I’d do different next time –
1. Only put in enough screws to hold it together until you can get the roof on. There were sections that looked level but would clash when the roof went on. I ended up taking 3/4 of the screws out, re-jigging it, then putting all the screws back in once it was where it needed to be. Thankfully the plastic is pretty forgiving.
2. Add the roof trim to the roof panel but don’t screw it down until its on the base. If you align and screw the roof trim on first, to where you think it needs to be, it will likely not align with the base. Keep it loosely fitted, lift the roof on, align the roof trim to the base walls so it all fits, then secure the trim to the roof and the walls below. Because access will now be tricky you’ll need a right-angle drill bit to do it this way.
I put a shed like this up over 12 yrs ago on my own, so thought that this would be just as easy, WRONG, I needed help and it took us most of the day, now the roof segment the slots needed to be more open so when fitting the fit was tight not near impossible because it’s slots are not open enough, had to screw it down when either each side was in place or apex because if you didn’t when you moved round it would pop out when you put another part in place. This also cannot be built in situ and not quite sure why I’d put the roof on before screwing all of the base to secure. Don’t understand why so many different types of screw either maybe two different types but not five. Haven’t said whether it’s waterproof or not because it hasn’t rained yet since being built but I wouldn’t see why it shouldn’t be.
My old wooden shed had seen better days so I had a look at reviews online and decided on this one. Ordered on Sunday and it arrived Wed ! My old shed was larger but I went for a 6x5ft as I’m only storing paint and gardening tools etc. I’m so glad I went for plastic – no more painting every year, rotting wood, roof felt needing replaced – much less maintenance !! I had a workman dismantle the old one and build this. The whole job took around 4 hours so wasn’t too bad. He didn’t seem to find it a problem and all the parts were there. He had help putting on the roof and doors but other than that it all went pretty smoothly (I only supervised and provided tea/coffee!). It’s fairly roomy inside so I was pleasantly surprised. Time will tell if it weathers the winters/storms but it looks great and I love it – the brown/beige colour is very smart. A complete transformation from my old shed, so it gets the thumbs up from me 🙂
We have put it on a base, in a fairly sheltered position, so I don’t expect any weather related problems.
It might be a bit too light weight if you are bashing about with heavy equipment all day, or needing to roll or drive machinery over the lip of the door frame. I’d also be reluctant to use it for storing any high value items. Although the doors are lockable, I suspect it might be quite easy to just break through the walls.
For my purposes, I couldn’t be more thrilled with this product. One tiny disappointment is that the window doesn’t open. Overall, it is everything I could have wished for, I love it!
A surprisingly good kit shed. One or two small adjustments due to manufacturing errors but nothing job-stopping.
Don’t expect to just screw the four sides together and drop on a roof. This is a time consuming and quite fiddly assembly. You WILL need an electric drill & small drill bit for the self-tapping screws, and you WILL get wrist ache screwing in all the screws (approx 200 screws ?). An electric screwdriver is not really appropriate as you might strip threads in the plastic sections.
The roof was damaged on arrival, and I have requested a replacement from Customer Services. I await feedback on this.
I estimate the build will take one person at least 6-8 hours, so allow a weekend when you can concentrate on the excellent instructions.
I had a damaged roof section on delivery, but it was replaced within about 10 days. Customer Services were responsive.
The roof section is the hardest piece to fit. It definitely needs two people lift it up to jiggle it around on the extrusions and use the supplied ‘spatula’ tool to ease it together. Don’t give up, it does fit eventually. I took about an hour just to fit the roof assembly on.
