I got this set for my 2 kids (ages 6 & 9) and they both love it. Hours of fun! It can get a bit messy falling on the floor etc but it’s easy to either sweep or vac up, not sticky etc.
Bought for my 2 year old for Christmas & she’s a big fan. She spends a good amount of time focused on it. Bonus, my 10 year old also joins in. & I even find it satisfying to play with. Great that each colour comes in a castle shaped tub, so they can both make sand castles at the same time. Now the great part for parents, it’s not particularly messy! I just grab a piece & dab it on all the loose pieces to pick them up.
Great for sensory play, my toddler absolutely loved it. I thought it would be difficult to clean up but it really isn’t. A brush and a dust pan is all I needed but mind you it does stain a bit so becareful with fabrics like carpet etc. The only downside I would say is if the colours are mixed together it’s not as fun anymore as it turns into a purplish colours so those beautiful yellow and blue will be no more…..which happened in the first 10 minutes of play. So far my little one doesn’t seem to mind but I can see how an older kid might be a disappointed. Either way I would get Kinetic sand again, but not in the rainbow style just the traditional sand colour.
Bought this for our play group they love it easy to use not a lot of mess . It comes with different shapes to use . Will buy more Kenetic sand natural colour bigger bag .

but i have mh problems and have never used kinetic sand before but it’s so fun i love it and this kit is great cuz u can make a bunch of different shapes
but be careful where u use it it’s very difficult to get off fabric
I will be honest and say that I got bored of it quickly but its just… so… relaxing. Amazing, and I can see how it would be great younger people.
I have had this set for a while, and I have noticed that if you have water on your hands that hasn’t dried yet, and you touch the sand, it will stick and you will need to wash your hands to get it off properly. This isn’t too much of a problem really and it is the only time that I have had trouble with cleaning it. Other than that, I think it is an easy-to-use and easy-to-clean toy for everyone!
It is advertised as easy to clean but it left a bit of sand on my hands that I wasn’t able to clean easily without rubbing it off a shirt.
Great for children of all ages & best of all they can play inside & it will not stick or ruin your furniture. It also has tool kits with these so all in all a great product & great for sensory play too.
Present for my nieces little girl.
After playing in the garden with the sand a few days later the coloured sand killed the grass in patches.
I purchased two and don’t want to give the other one to my granddaughter incase it stains her skin.
You can find cheaper ones on amazon but I have no complaints as my son spent a lot of time playing and having fun. Do have to say though it does get everywhere so don’t do let them play in a room with carpet as might have a hard time getting it out.
My daughter has low muscle tone and this is far easier for her to manipulate at cut than playdough. I’m very happy with it. It’s also easy to hoover up even if it’s stood on.
My grandson loved playing with this sand reminds me so much of play dough and he loved the stamp which was provided with the sand pressing it down and opening up. Nice colours and little pots although they were difficult to open.
Kinetic sand is awesome but this particular box made it seem as though mixing the colours would leave a cool effect and so my son was very disappointed that his quickly turned to dark purple/grey, I think for a child the cover is misleading because it’s not multiuse Colour wise in the way indicated.
There is plenty in here for lots of activities, with good storage containers etc.
My recommendation is not to mix the colours too much as you end up with a massive lump of wierd coloured material. The colours don’t mix as well as the front cover would suggest (you get blue, red and yellow) as when you mix them you can still see the individual grains of each colour in the resultant product.
The original came with red and blue sand, which you can imagine is now purple sand.
Nice that you can get extra colours for a low price as it extends the life of the toy and gets the kids going back time and time again.
Just a shame about the mess it makes!
This set was my favourite one. It includes tools and 3 sandcastles. Much prefer it to the sand satisfying set we own. Good value for money.
Also. Don’t get hung up on what colour sand is included. It will be a muddy colour after an hour!
Lastly I recommend a tray. I use a Tuff tray. Pic shows sand from this plus another set. (Started off as 4 colours!) It doesn’t look like much but it is. The tray is huge.

Nice colours but when you mix them together it become brown…and one more thing. My parcel came without any additional package on top in rainy day.. Of course my little one found it when I wasn’t around ( it should be additional gift for Christmas) so sureprise is spoild now …
This was great to play with – i’ll invite my 2 year old son along next time. I found i had to play with the sand for a bit to get it to be more fluid. All the accessories were present and performed as expected – i liked making the half pill shapes!
On a side note If you want all the colours try not to mix it. I did and now it just looks like brown sand BUT its still fun 🙂
