Absolutely love this marketstall. It’s easy to put together, quite sturdy & not too big / doesn’t take up too much space. The colours are bright enough but not too in your face bright plastic. Love the wooden toy theme currently. The only downfall is that if you want to have the full fruit / veg / meat / fish / pastries etc with the crates that fit nicely, it can become quite pricey. I’ve managed to purchase other cheaper fruit & veg bits & bobs to put on it instead.

Cons: This was missing most of the “S4” screws, but had extra “S1” screws that I ended up using in place of the missing “S4” ones. It seemed to do the trick. Where you screw in the wheels on the bottom, the wood starts to poke up on the bottom shelf where I screwed them in. Apparently the screws were a bit too long (and I did use the correct screws on that part). You have to be careful on screwing in the knobs, as they require a lot of muscle to get them in, and the screws will start to strip.
Pros: It’s very beautiful and I love the detail they put into it and that it is natural and non toxic. My 3 year old daughter seems to really enjoy it.
I assembled this unit myself in about an hour or so – the instructions are easy to follow, you do need a screwdriver for the job though.
The entire apparatus is solid wood, each piece is painted and finished beautifully. It goes together nice and tight – no crooked ends or wonky bits, everything screwed up perfectly. The build is very sturdy and it’s finished really nicely. I often get knocked out by toxic fumes on treated wood, but I didn’t experience any fumes with this, which makes me feel better about it being non-toxic for kids. The fabric awning is just a little bit too lightweight, though, and not finished as nicely as the rest of the toy.
It has accessories in the form of a cotton mini shopping bag and a “crate” of wooden apples and pears. The only downside is that it just comes with just one crate, which means that you need to buy more items to fill it up.
This also doubles as a child’s shelving/storage, and the cheerful pastels make it a really nice addition to playtime.
Great little item. My 4yr old daughter is enjoying playing with it. Yet again another top quality item from Le Toy Van and sustainably sorced materials too – makes a lovely change from all the plastic you usually see from Kids toys. Also bravo to LTV for the minimal packaging too, very little plastic and anything that wasn’t the toy can go in the recycling bin!!!

This is a very attractive and sturdy play shop or market stall, forming the basis for imaginative, fun and educational play shopping. Our 3 year old grand-daughter loves it ! It is easy to assemble and looks great, as well as being sturdy. It is, however, just the basis for creating the market stall – you need to buy the play fruit/veg/dairy/tins plus a cash-till and play money.
This is a very quality role play cafe, I would not hesitate to order this brand again. Our granddaughter loved it and had hours of pleasure.
It took me and my partner a while to screw all parts together but it looks good and my granddaughter is happy playing in this tiny shop. I would buy again…
Most children go through a phase of playing shops and this is possibly the best and swankiest pretend shop.
Its wooden and comes in lovely understated colours, more Farrow and Ball than pastel. You can get various food sets to match but it works well with any pretend stock.
After the kids have gone to bed, it even looks fine sitting in the corner of the living room.
The thing that impressed me the most with the Le Toy Van – Wooden Honeybee Market Play Shop Set after assembly was that it’s attractive as a piece of furniture! It is so well made and put together it feels of a far higher quality than you would expect for what is a child’s toy.
Considering that the price is very good value for the quality. It’s great for the kids as a starter set, but be aware to fully flesh out the market experience you will have to buy various additions that are sold separately. The assembly itself is a little bit fiddle, so be prepared for a few hours to get everything fully put together.
All in all though, great product to allow the kids to have some harmless role play fun!

Another brilliant Le Vans toy.
It came well packaged and took hubby about 45 minutes to put together – this was with my 6 year old granddaughter helping so may not take as long if you’re on your own. The pieces fit well together and instructions are clear
We have several Le Vans sets of wooden food which we added to the market place and my 18 month old and 6 year old granddaughters spent a happy afternoon playing with it.
They started by playing shops then it was a cafe and then a larder in their “pretend” house.
I love wooden toys they seem more traditional and timeless. The quality is great and they literally last for years.
This is quite an expensive gift (at time of review 55) but in my opinion it is worth every penny, it is the sort of toy you can keep and pass down to the next baby in the family or keep for your grandchildren

This Le Toy Van – Wooden Set has the most adorable and well-made wooden toys. This stand is light weight enough to move around and put on a shelf or child’s table. I decided to make mine versatile. I took the awning off and copied to make awnings for other pretend play such as: pet vet, ice cream shop, taco stand, pastry shop: just change out the awning to open a new shop. Perfect for a 3-6 yr.
Another winner be Le Toy Van, arriving conveniently packaged with a handle on the box and assembly was as straight forward as you could hope for. From an adults point of view the end result is far more pleasing to the eye than plastic equivalents and it feels like it will cope with the attentions of small children well. From a toddlers point of view the bell is amazing. Drawbacks are few, only one product crate is supplied and buying extra will soon ramp up the cost, and the wooden fruit has the potential to do more damage than plastic if thrown during a temper tantrum.
This is a lovely little well made wooden market stall/shop for the kids to play pretend. it is so much better quality than I thought it would be and is so easy to put together (40 minutes or so if you are not a pro). The kids couldn’t wait to play with it, and the little one ended up bringing it into playschool with her to let the rest of the kids play too.
It’s solid and sturdy so you don’t have to worry about your little ones breaking it. It can take a beating 🙂 . There is nothing more important than a good imagination, and this excellent toy allows your kids to dream up unlimited shop related scenarios and helps them to deal with people on a whole new level..

I’ve ordered from this make before and have found the quality to be excellent, I’ve even had compliments about this brand from other people.
With regards to this item, this is a great quality wooden toy market, which my 5 year old nephew plays with for hours upon hours.
Reading previous reviews people appear to have struggled with the wheels however I felt the instructions were pretty simple and self explanatory. I cheated and had assistance from my brother in law who used his battery driver to speed things up a little, but even without I wouldn’t have imagined this would take long.
The wood feels hard wearing and seems super durable.
Very good value for money and happy to recommend this product as one that helps stimulate imagination and creative play among children.
They already have a little cash register and we got them some extra play food to accompany the crate of wooden apples and pears that comes with the stall. Le Toy Van also offers a selection of crates of various food as accessories for the market stall.
We found that it took less than an hour to assemble even with the ‘help’ of two energetic twins and a curious cat.
The main thing about this market stall is its high quality. Crafted from sustainable rubberwood, it is painted with non-toxic materials. It is a very robust toy set as well as being finely detailed. The little accessories like the bell, striped awning, and shopping bag are all of good quality and look appealing.
While it may seem expensive, this is a toy that is going to last for years and not fall to bits if accidentally stumbled into. Once the kids grow out of it would be suitable to donate to a play group or nursery school.
It’s perfect for our little troopers given their love of playing games centred around shopping. It’s quite amusing to listen to them. They may be young but they are aware of food and this play set is encouraging them to understand the wider world.
Currently they are playing with it on the floor as they are still quite small but as they grow taller we will place on a low table.
This play set would also be suitable for someone who is a childminder or running a play group.

Very good size, lobe absolutely love wooden toys as they last forever and can be easily recycled ! This was very simple to put together and looks amazing ! Reason for the 4 stars is that the packaging came damaged which in term caused a couple of the bits of wood to be chipped and scratched. All round I’ve had many le van toy wooden toys through vine over the years. I can not really fault them. Amazing wooden toy manufacturer!
This is a fabulous product that I wish we’d had years ago. Downsides first – it’s a bit of a pain to put together and I did wonder if it was going to be worth the effort. However, now that it’s done it’s brilliant. The quality is excellent and it should last forever. The fact that it comes with a few bits and pieces is a bonus, too. It would be a shame if you didn’t get a crate of products with it so you can get started on opening your first shop! We’re looking forward to buying a few more to stock the shop. This is going to get a lot of use. Excellent.

Okay so start off with- it isn’t exactly the easiest to put together, the instructions are easy to read and understand but the actual construction of it is easier read than done. For some I’d imagine it may take a couple of hours, for the handy perhaps 20-30 mins, it all depends upon your DIY skills and the tools you have to hand. It’s something to bear in mind when purchasing this toy- especially if it’s a gift. You may wish to put it together the night before so your little one can pretty much begin playing with it straight away.
Once made up it’s actually larger than I imagined from the photos, which is great because it means it’s easy for little ones to play with, and it means more than one child can play with it at a time.
It’s also on caster wheels which makes it easy to move around and the children can even push it around and move it themselves, sort of like a moving market.
It’s a sturdy toy, the materials used are all good quality, from a quality toy brand.
The baskets are removable allowing for more freedom of play, and the groceries and shopping bag provided allow for great fun for little ones. My girls have enjoyed playing ‘shop’ with it, even adding in some more food toy pieces that they’ve already got from previous toys.
I think it’s a good value for money toy, one that encourages healthy imaginations in young children, and keeps them occupied for hours at a time.
I don’t think it’s advised for children under 3 years of age, although there’s no small parts per se, I do suppose very young children can manage to get into mischief with anything not bolted down.
I believe the brand makes other toys that are suitable to add to this market, or add to the environment for more interactive and imaginative play.
This toy market is a well made and attractive toy to get your kids interacting and playing together.
It is easy to assemble straight out of the box, with clear instructions and it is well painted, with no sharp or rough edges. The canopy is attractive and the shelves are great for showing off the crates of produce. This comes with one small crate of wooden apples and pears, but other crates are available. We found some crates and toy veg from another company that also fit perfectly, but at a fraction of the price.
The kids loved this straight away and had great fun adding the fruit and taking it off again. They also used an existing toy till that they had and enjoyed ringing up the sales. This comes with a small canvas bag to put the veg in, as well as a small bell for customers to ring. A nice touch.
This is a well constructed, attractive and traditional toy that is great to get kids interacting together and which makes a break from electronic gadgets and plastic toys.

It warms my heart to see such a great wooden toy! It does need some assembly – so allow 30 minutes, but this is really well made and excellently finished. A wonderful mix of colour makes this attractive to infants and toddlers. When assembled this is robust and sturdy – no wobbling – and the details make such a difference. A little bell on the top right and a couple of other well finished knobs add the finishing touches. The red striped canopy makes it look realistic and a little jute bag adds the final touch for little shoppers. The wooden tray supplied contains 2 red apples, 2 green apples and 2 pears and is one of a number of additional sets that can be bought as additional purchases..
This toy is not only “green” but it teaches kids that wood is good and that jute is better than plastic. This is a remarkably good toy that I thoroughly recommend – this is simply great! You won’t beat this for a toy for the under fives – our kids love this and I am sure that your will too!
These Le Toy Van toys are absolutely gorgeous; this is the stand and one crate of items to sell, plus a bag. For the full effect you’ll need another 5 crates of “food” (we have one other already, “5 a day”, so need a further 4).
You don’t get a till which is a shame, although we do have a plastic one which doesn’t look completely put of place.
At 55, given the additional items you’ll need to buy in order to release it’s full potential, it’s not cheap. That said, it is lovely for any child age up to about 6.
The market stall set is received in a medium sized box with a handle. Pictures on the outside of what this looks like when put together. The instructions are relative straight-forward to follow together with the picture this provides a good overview of what this should look like. Its a very good quality market stall. good quality and solid in its construction. The stall was given to our 3 year old grand-daughter who thinks this is brilliant. It gets a lot of play with buying and selling and is a focal point at playtime. We will be looking for a cash register, although at the moment we pay the lady (grand-daughter) via plastic card or pretend money, Great time to be had with this. Worth adding some more food items to the stall, very good value for what you get in return, children never tire of this type of toy.
Stand arrives packaged very well in a beautiful box. It can be presented to a child even without wrapping.
Stand is made of of solid good quality wood. Colour is very nice, fashionable and modest at the same time.

The only issue I have with it is that it’s smaller in a real life than appears on the pictures.
When assembled it reached lower part of my tight I’m 5’6″. And crate is also very compact and small.
Same goes for shopping bag – very small.
I love the idea that you can buy extra accessories and make a whole scene with them.
That being said I still think it’s a great product, it has a luxury vibe about it. It will last ages. Its environmentally friendly. Looks great!

This is a review for Le Toy Van Honeybee Market set which is a wooden stall for children around 3 and up. It is best suited to table top play – as you can see from the photo it is well below standard door handle height if placed on the floor. Note that the online information as at February 2020 states No Assembly required but that is incorrect: the stall comes flat packed and the dimensions given in the product list are for the box it arrives in, not the finished article. The actual size when assembled is 64cm high, 36cm deep and 40 cm wide. As long as that is what suits your home or nursery, then this is a great product.
Assembly: you will just need a Phillips screw driver, all the screws and an allen key are provided. It took about half an hour to assemble and once done it is very stable and sturdy.
Features: the two tiers of the market stall have front and back partitions for displaying crates of produce, with the rear flat surface suitable for shopping basket, cash till and other items. There is a bright striped fabric canopy, a roomy canvas shopping bag, a bell to ring for service, and it comes with one wooden crate containing two painted wooden pears, two red and two green apples. NB – the other Toy Van products shown in my photo are ones we already have, and you can buy compatible crates of fruit, veg, dairy, meat , fish and baked goods from Le Toy Van ranging from about 12 to 15.
Overall this is a very attractive table top stall which can easily be moved around and will stand up to years of robust group play.
It’s not often you see a market stall toy like this – what a good idea! It’s just a shame there aren’t more food crates to go with it – only one is supplied. Still, more are available to buy separately with many different variations of food, such as a bread and milk crate, a fish crate and a five-a-day vegetable crate. Buying at least two more is a must as you need three for each row of shelves. I think it will be a toy that has to be added to as time goes by.
First of all, it’s a bit daunting when you see it all in bits but a quick read of the instructions and you’ll have it together in no time. In-fact, it’s pretty self explanatory and once you’ve got going, it’s fairly obvious where everything goes but if it’s to be a gift or a surprise for a child, it’s best to put it together when they’re not there as they do get a bit impatient waiting for their toy to be ready!
It’s so well-made and sturdy and, apart from the canopy, which is a bit badly finished around the edges, should last a reasonably careful child for years – at least until they’ve grown out of the recommended age for it, after which time it can be passed on to a younger sibling. The little crate that comes with it contains fruit which is beautifully finished in smooth wood and painted in enticingly realistic colours, each finished with a little cord ‘stalk’ and a sewn felt ‘leaf’. It comes complete with a lovely little canvas shopping bag to put your ‘purchases’ in!
A very well thought-out toy and a very unusual one which can be added to, as I’ve said before, with more food crates and many more accompaniments which can be bought separately from Amazon such as a shopping trolley and a cash till. Any imaginative child will be delighted with this toy and will get hours of fun out of it, alone or with a friend!
Well made and very sturdy. No sharp edges. I don’t think my grand children will be seeing this until I have finished with it. Plan on using it as part of my craft stall to display items at a craft show. Lovely and bright comes flat pack but is easy to put together. Good value for money

~ Height 64 cm x 36 cm deep x 47 cm wide (max), the latter allowing for the extended canopy rod housing the working bell on the left-hand side and the chunky knob on the opposite side, which has a neat little honeybee picture on (image below refers).
Assembled, it is easy to pick up and move around, when required, and as the ‘little one’ gets taller, the market stall could possibly move to e.g. a tabletop, as is also currently shown in some other stock images above.
Although pictorial, and depending on DIY skills, the instruction leaflet needs a little thinking about, in my experience, and some patience is required putting the rod through the stripy red & white canvas-type material CANOPY, which is a neat fit. It took an average DiY-er around half an hour to assemble, with just one of the ‘GP-50’ screws proving to be a bit of a challenge on the marry up.

A single crate is supplied with the 6 wooden fruits with fabric ‘leaves’, i.e. 2 X PEARS + 2 X GREEN APPLES + 2 X RED APPLES, as also seen in the above stock image, along with a dinky little FABRIC SHOPPING BAG that neatly expands on the base for a chunkier load if you expand on the set with other items from the brand, or use your own packets & boxes etc, like I do (2 x 20 g cereal boxes in the image below as an illustration & guide to size only).
In the set I received, one of the 2 red apples is reluctant to stand to attention, but doesn’t seem to be spoiling the enjoymentafter all, you can’t always have perfect fruit!

The item arrives flat packed in a colourful, branded cardboard box that measures around 71.5 cm x 39 cm x 7.5 cm. The one I received also had a gift tag on a ‘Le Toy’ ribbon tied in a bow on the plastic-type carry handle on the top (image below refers).
Inside, everything is meticulously packed with some pieces in white tissue paper for extra protection.

Our grandchildren love interactive toys like this, and have a kitchen where they serve up meals and this is a wonderful addition to their little make-believe world. Didn’t take Granddad too long to assemble, and it’s very sturdy once it’s all together. It reminds me of the old markets my Nan used to take me to as a child. Our grandchildren went straight into their imaginary world, and we can foresee hours of play. This would be good in a nursery setting, with a few more customers
Once built, this is a lovely, solid item and the kids have loved playing with it.
BUT it’s fiddly to put together (especially putting the wheels on) – I’m pretty good at DIY and this took me 2 hours. The instructions aren’t great either.
Wow, packaged really well, easy to follow instructions and super easy to assemble. Cannot fault it.

Bought this for my daughter’s Christmas so she hasn’t received it yet but I love it!!! Found the instructions simple to follow and the pieces fitted together simply into pre-bored and counter-sunk holes leaving a neat finish. Only slight criticism was the the basket which came with the stall was damaged-the bottom had come away but it was easily repaired with adhesive. Can’t wait to see her reaction to it on Christmas morning! Would recommend.
My 3 year daughter loves this market stall and has spent lots of time playing with it, so have her 10 year old sister’s! It is looks nice, is strong and very well made. It was very easy to put together and didn’t take very long. My daughter plays with it on the floor at the moment, but when she gets older (and taller) she can put it on a table to use. It is easy to move around, so can be moved easily from one room to another.
I would recommend the boxes that can be brought for the stall, we have 3 on the top of our stall. They look lovely and are also well made.
