I inherited a sick Peace Lily which I have nurtured into a huge, robust plant – but as soon as it is even a little bit thirsty it droops and threatens to die. This pot is brilliant – keep the water line topped up between min & max and you have a happy plant all the time. Only need to check it once a week. The outside pot is big in relation to the amount of planting space you get, so you need a suitable spot for it …. and I am dreading needing to repot as they are expensive and the next size up will require a mortgage!
Great, only brought it really for the colour and size.
Great pot . less watering and my plant leave have remained gree
Lechuza self watering pot are the best product out there and the only product that I trust for self watering pot, and the result see the pic.
I’ve tried few products that I bought through Amazon, and I can truly say nothing beat Lecuza’s products.
The other product I’ve tried, their measurement is not fully correct.
Simply test the product by putting the tray, put something heavy on the tray so it stays down. Then fill the water until it goes to the red line and often you’ll see that the water in the pot and the water instrument dosent aline with each other. Which means with the other pot the water seeps over the tray and leave the soil to wet for a period of them.this has happened twice with me and when it happened i realised to late and often leads to the plants loosing their leaves.o didn’t have a choice of repotting the plant.
My friends say I have a green thumbs but in fact it’s all thanks to lecauza.i have several of their products in varied product, size and cost.
My plants loves and theive, and grow big and larger than what I expect. so far i haven’t kill the plants I’ve potted in Lechuza self watering pot.
It’s easy to assemble the instruction is on the product and takes less than 5 min. Its as easy as the assembled video on this page.
I bought this for an indoor cumquat tree – so far the tree is still alive and I credit the po
Really lovely vase/planter. Instructions were easy to follow. Just waiting for those 3months to pass before you can start using properly. Hand watering to begin with then you can fill up the dispenser after 3mnths.
I chose the black one, great quality, and most of all my plant is doing well in it.
So easy to assemble and use,the quality is fantastic. So good I’ve 5 of them around the house.100%
After seven years, my much-loved amaryllis needed to be repotted again this spring, and needed an unusually large pot for an indoor plant. This Lechuza product was a good solution. What I like most is that it looks like a fine ceramic pot, but is a fraction of the weight, and easy to move around. The instruction to water from the top for several weeks were a surprise and a disappointment, and I’ve yet to try the self-watering system. Perhaps that will come into its own next year. Meanwhile, the amaryllis looks blooming happy.
Really like this pot. Paired it with “MODEST LIVING Plant Caddy White Large – 34 cm” and they fit together like a dream. Better and cheaper than the Lechuza caddy.
This looks great and is conducive to no fuss, great care for houseplants. Would by more from the range.
A very nice pot, works as described. Well made, durable to last for some time. Need to pay attention to dimension and size in description. I’ve purchased a few pots from this brand. Highly recommended!
Easy was to correctly water plants that are often forgotte
Loved this pot – looks very stylish and was very easy to assemble; very happy.
Quality does stand out (sometimes) and I have to be honest these are not cheap…actually they can be (when not on offer) too expensive but they are top-quality planters and look great. As soon as you see the packing and contents it just feels premium, and in my opinion, if you buy cheap you buy twice 🙂
Great planters, solid plastic construction, and dead easy to keep your plants watered!
After reading lots about this product, and lots of reviews, (a lot of people who bought this product complained that it came with missing items) I decided to give it a go. And guess what, I am missing items. The pit is in good condition and was very simple to put together, but I didn’t receive any substrate so now have to spend even more money on a already expensive pot. I’m happy with the product, just not the fact an expensive product is missing things it should have with it.
Really happy with it. Perfect size for what I needed and looks really grea
Very well built pot. Easy to assemble with simple to follow instructions. Decent size bag of clay pellets included to line the bottom of the pot. Ideal for low maintenance indoor plants. Simple to see when they need a water.
I have bought several of these pots they are easy to put together and are very good quality. Arrive well packaged. With the water indicator simple to top up and so far my plants are flourishing. A little bit expensive but they do look beautiful in my conservatory and living room
The best part about these pots is because I can see when my plants need watering. They look good on or off the floor.
This brand is excellent – have them in huge to small sizes like this one. My plants are thriving – always watered perfectly.
Just what the plant doctor ordered : Expensive but works. Looks expensive is expensive but it works well ! Happy.
Having purchased many of their pots before I was a little underwhelmed by this “premium” model. It does weird well, it has all the right parts and it makes looking after your plants easier (as all their products do). But details are missing like the fact that the water refill hole is always open on this, and the water level indicator doesn’t clip into anything so it wobbles. Their other pots (the ones not called premium) feel sturdier and like they’ve had more attention to detail paid to them. It’s still a great plant pot. But I’d suggest stick to their standard range really.
I have eight of these pots in various sizes on my terrace in High Gloss Charcoal, they look stunning and are an excellent design. I could not be happier with them.
This has lead me to begin ordering the Lechuza Premium Classico gloss white version in various sizes for indoors. My order for the first three pots arrived this afternoon, imagine my disapointment to fnd that they are not gloss white but are a very pale gloss cream, they are very attractive but not the gloss white as advedrtised and expected.
I have given a full 5 star rating for the style and quality of the pots as the problem does not lay with them, it is either an advertising or dispatch error.
Still trying to find the perfect plant for this glossy po
Well made, looks good and plants are happy living here.
Only 4 stars as not keen on the logo and is a bit expensive for what it is.
I must have nearly 20 of these pots, some of them are indoors but most are in the gaden.
The quality is excellent and it also means that you know when to wate
I wanted to have a red pot for a growing spathiphylum and this pot does just the trick. I like the fact that it is self watering, very useful.
These pots are perfect for self watering. Looking after house plants have never been easier. We do not have to worry about over or under watering. They look modern and slick. Have bought a few of these and all of them are perfect. Highly recommend them.
My daughter and her husband love these, takes the worry out of when they need to water.
A nice gloss soft red. The inner red ring of the planter is red as well, and functions as a handle to lift the inner black bucket out from the red outside. The planter is easy to assemble. I do recommend to order a separate bucket of Lechuza Gritty Mix. There is a little bit in the package. But only sufficient to cover the bottom of the planter.
The self-watering system means you need to give plants some time to grow roots into the water reservoir. This can take up to 6 to 8 weeks. Once you’ve managed, you won’t have to worry about your plant anymore, and they will stay alive!!
My process is as follows. After receiving the planter, I go and look for the plants I want in the planter. Having received the planter, I now can assess the space available for the plants to go in them. Visit the garden center for what you like.
I have ordered additional gritty mix for the planter. What does this mean? The planter is provided with a gritty mix of ceramic pellets/stones making a drained bottom. I like to have the plants covered in the gritty mix, so I have ordered additional mix. This will cover the plants completely and makes a nice presentation.
Once you have made your choice of plants, bring them home and remove the plastic pot. I try to remove as much soil as I can to remain with almost roots only.
I pour the gritty mix into the bottom of the planter to create a 2/3 cm-1inch layer of drainage. At this point, you might want to ask someone to help you. Trying to hold your plant in the airy void in the planter, while adding gritty mix isn’t a two-hand job.
With some help, you will manage to cover the roots with gritty mix and have your plant nicely settled in the new substrate.
At his point, you will put the inner pot back into the outer and will water the plant for the first time. This will be from above. So as you are used to water plants. You will have to do this for about 6-8 weeks. This will allow the roots to find their way to the water reservoir.
After the initial watering period of 6-8 weeks, you’ll only water the plants by refilling the water reservoir in the bottom of the planter. You can do this through a dedicated watering access to the side of the inner planter. There is a reservoir level indicator showing the level. That will give you an indication of the water level, making it possible to fill it to the max for approx 6 weeks of carefree growing.
A bit of effort and dedication for 6-8 weeks, will leave you with plants staying alive and thriving.

Lechuza Premium Classico 28cm High Gloss White Self Watering Traditional Round Planter Pot
it’s a nice looking pot.
check your pot size before you buy this. I have a 25cm wide pot that I wanted to transfer in and the lining is so high that after putting it in, the roots stick out probably 3″ higher than the top of the pot – so this really is for tiny pots if you’re transplanting. it’s short and wide rather than a traditional pot size. also, make sure you’ve got extra potting mix as it’s so wide that you will need more. The measurements on the listing are hard to read but do check as you’ll be surprised how shallow this is – with the watering base and the pearlite that needs to go on the bottom you lose probably 4ish inches in the height.
I also bought the 35cm for another plant which I’ll now use for this one but I’m left with a pot without a plant and a plant without a pot. 🙁
Lovely pot ( looks like china from outside). Easy to put together. Can t wait how it will really work…
This is an expensive plant container but it is very high quality and looks great.
Quality product, will look elegant in the right setting with the right plant.
Well made plant pot – bought especially for the ‘self watering’ aspect which it is too early to judge whether it’s worked. Only fault with this pot is that it does not have a ‘High Gloss’ as per the description! It is actually very matte charcoal, this is a disappointment because I wanted a shiny plant pot!!
I am very happy that I can now go abroad and my plant will stay watered for up to four weeks without drying out.
I now have three different sized Lechuza pots, as my plants seem to thrive in them and they suit my dcor. I like the plain elegance of them though they are a little pricy. The set-up for each pot has been slightly different but it has not been difficult to follow the instructions, which are largely pictorial. I also have the glossy Lechuza Premiuim Deltini 14cm and the non-glossy Lechuza Colour Classico 28cm.
Happy with this but the product’s description is misleading!! Quote; “Box Contains” 1 x PON Substrate……. There is NO substrate with this planter & also, the upper segment of the Sub Irrigation Set dipicting the water-level….. is missing!!
Its bigger than I thought. It’s very nice and it looks pretty elefant with my lili. It’s quite heavy though. The self-water system works perfectly. I am happy with it. I wish could be a bit cheaper though.
The best self-watering plant pots I’ve used so far. I have various designs and sizes, the quality is consistent, they look sophisticated in any decor and most importantly do a great job of keeping all my plants perfectly watered. I’ve found planting in Lechuza Pon granulate gives the best results.
Excellent self-watering planter for indoor use. I have substantial plants in these and water only once a fortnight or so depending where they are sited and ambient temperature. In a cool conservatory they go much nearer a month without a top up. They are very easy to set up and use. They are ideal for people like me who have a tendency to forget to water until it is far too late!
