have wide feet and various foot and ankle pain and these are so comfortable with gel cushioning. they are also composite but are very light and you can not tell!! great product for long 12 hour shifts
Bought for my daughter, for her new job. She’s very pleased with them
Bought these for my new job, broke in very easily and are ‘comfy all day’ not worn them in the rain but so far I’m very pleased with them.
Wide fitting and comfortable only ket down by crappy lacing system
Should of got a half size bigger they were quite tight and they took some breaking in but now I have wore them a couple of weeks I find them comfortable although I have put some insoles in because the sole was quite rough on my feet .
little bit let down by the fact not quite as wide or as comfortable as the viper 8 but still a great produc
Absolutely brilliant at a great price. I ride a motocross bike in spare time I don’t like motorbike boots they are uncomfortable and look stupid so but they give you protection. So I thought I’d try these cause they have protection at the front of the boot and under. These boots are perfect for what I want they do the job perfect plus waterproof. Thier nothing worse than squishing the old toes of a tree or something when your ragging it about in the fores
The material is thick with plenty of double and triple stitching around the leather uppers. The tongue and collar are well padded. And the toe, heel, and soles have the type of reinforcement required for site work.
The insoles are surprisingly good quality, thick, with good cushioning. They are removable so can be washed. Or you can swap them out for your own if you want.
I wanted boots that were waterproof enough to walk through standing water and had the opportunity to walk through a footpath flooded from a nearby river and these kept my feet completely dry.
The only concerns I have are the eyelets which are plastic and the back of the shoe which slants down, presumably to give more movement around the ankle. I would prefer a level top to protect and support the lower calf and achilles tendon. But maybe that’s just me.
Overall, I think these are good value for the price. They appear to be solidly made, and clearly offer good protection for a number of professions.
I’m a longtime user of Hi-tech and its sister company Magnum and they’ve never disappointed me. The boots are solid, affordable and most importantly, comfortable (bearing in mind I spend up to 16 hrs a day in mine). Not as flexible as other models, (meaning not as good for running) but has a full toecap.
I`d suffered with wearing the No Risk steel toe safety boots my employer provides so bit the bullet and bought my own. Without spending a massive amount, these are more comfortable, far lighter due to composite toe cap, a wider fit and have a penetration plate. They`re flexible & don`t hold as much moisture, so even with increased hours in them I`m more comfortable and have less foot fatigue. The lace fittings provide adjustable fit at the ankle which stays in place. Time will tell where durability is concerned as they will take a beating, but seem well made given the price.
I bought these for theatre work, and they certainly provide protection!
They are comfortable enough once worn in, but there’s no getting away from the weight of them. Those looking for lightweight protection should look elsewhere
They fit true to size for me and their really comfortable, as I can wear for full 12 hour shift without feeling like my feet are about to fall off. I’m really impressed and if I need another pair will be purchasing again.
Initially, I tried to send these boots back when I realised they had a composite toe cap which I didn’t want! It would have cost me 13 to return so I gave them a try. Best boot I’ve ever had and I’ve had many! They are warm, flexible and really comfortable. You cannot tell they have safety to caps and soles.
I’m so pleased I didn’t return them!
Punt was worth it. Very comfortable and as I work in various locations and weather conditions on site, these proved waterproof and very well insulated from cold ground cons=ditions.
Can not fault them at all.
ot sure I would go with the toe protection again but I love these boots. the beast from the east was nothing to these boots my feet were never cold and surprisingly they have never been too hot in the hot weather despite working in hot environments from time to time that include a 144 step staircase. they are waterproof as stated and never caused me to doubt their grip in the snow. Very impressed thank you.
Comfortable from day one. Yes, the lacing system appears fiddly, but once you get used to it, it works absolutely fine. Too early to comment on durability. An update… 2 years plus down the line, Still very comfortable but the leather is starting to deteriorate and they are not waterproof anymore. I bought the proper Magnum laces that have lasted really well. Comfortable in all weathers. I use heat-formed insoles that combine really well. They get a lot of use in the warehouse an outside. Will buy another pair soon!
