Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReading reviews on this some where complaining you didn’t get a battery with it a battery! Really? Are they kidding. The batteries are more expensive than the he hoover itself. A BATTERY INDEED. what do the expect for 44 quid. Others are complaining about the suction being poor. Again it’s a 44 small hoover meant for small jobs. And let me tell you it does it well for the size and price. If people want more suction they should go elsewhere and pay a small fortune something that is going to suck their wallet dry. People really should take this for what it is. A SMALL CONVENIENCE HOOVER and thats all it’s made for not for cleaning the whole house. It’s a decent hoover for what it is at a decent price. And no you don’t get a battery with it. Anyone who thinks you should get a battery with something at this price is crazy cheers Amazo

2nd time of buying this model. 1st one lived a good and fruitful life, but we killed it with plaster dust. Have kept it for repair. Fantastic vacuum, for light jobs and general use, especially on hard floors, highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s great design, easy to empty, but empty with caution, id recomend a clip to release for cleaning as it opens as you try and swap the pipes over if not careful. I would recomend buying an extra battery pack and charger so you are less likely to run out of power on the job. I will be adding other tools from this range to my collection and would be happy to test any freebies you send me.

Ideal for awkward places, down the sofa. Perfect for vehicle hoovering.

I use this for light hoovering or dust and shavings. Not powerful enough for much more but perfect for my needs given the lightness and ability to throw on a makita power pack

I use this in the aircraft cabin area from the flight deck to 1st class, business class & right the way to economy class. The suction is very good for a hand held device. Obviously the aircraft would have already been cleaned by the cleaners but I always carry this as a backup if in case something was missed, especially as it is so light and portable. Because I’m not using it continuously, the 5Ah battery which I use (not supplied) can last for several weeks before it needs to be recharged. Also the narrow nozzle attachment is ideal to get between the window seats and the side walls.. this is definitely a great piece of equipment for the job that I do.

Great Hoover easy to use and set up and pretty good suction too for a 18v Hoover. Only one problem is getting of my partner for me to use.

This vacuum cleaner is lightweight, powerful enough to lift small rubble, easy to empty. Runs off the same battery at my power tools, so a must have on the job.

I wasn’t expecting much just needed a vacuum for the caravan to keep the dirt level down but I was massively surprised by the suction power for a small unit. Fully recommend 5 stars

It’s a supplement to, not a replacement for a high powered vacuum cleaner.

Sucks amazing for a hand held light machine. Ideal for car van boot carvan shed. It’s did all my three bedroom house with one battery and it’s still working. But I did have to empty it out lots of time. Love it.

Sucks up anything. Nuts and bolts if you wish, very powerful suction. All I will say though, it’s better on a hard floor rather than carpets . Gets in the smallest of corners and it’s so lightweight.
Saves getting out all the heavy vacuums and dragging a lead behind you.
The battery seems to last forever.
I’m seriously thinking of getting another for my workplace. Best thing I’ve bought this year.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIf you already own Makita batteries and charger this is a no brainer, in that case it is an absolute bargain.
I wanted a cordless vacuum cleaner having visited my son in Europe and used his during a house move – I’m not a total doormat – we had gone specifically to help with the move and try to ensure his enormous deposit was refunded for the flat he vacated (and it was so that makes me a hero!). Please excuse the waffle….. lockdown has been going on a long time and I’m BORED.
    OK back to the review:
Hubby and I were shocked how much some cordless vacuums cost, plus many don’t seem to score too well on the longevity scale. We decided to try this as we already have various Makita products in the garage hence numerous batteries and chargers.
This is BRILLIANT. Granted it is small but we have an average size 3 bed home and its the only vacuum we use or need. Its great on the hard floors throughout the downstairs but copes OK on the bedroom carpets too. The huge plus is that is so handy and easy to use hubby will fetch it from the utility and use it the moment he realises he has paddled mud in from outside!

I was introduced to the Makita product range via my tradesman son.
I am 65+ and must stress that Im not as agile as I used to be hence my search for a reliable and lightweight vacuum
cleaner and this does not disappoint… magic little machine.

If you are a middle aged powerless woman, I strongly recommend this cleaner. Compare to other handy cleaners, this one is much more light and easy to control when you are cleaning.
Also, the machine is Makita’s, so if you are a person who uses electric power tools for your job or hobby, you know this brand’s tool is for the professional just like Stanley.

Love this hoover. The floor attachment is small but effective. The suction isn’t as powerful as you’d want but still works well. Easy to empty. So much easier to carry around than a henry. Overall great produc

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersFrom time to time I have to stop waxing my sports car, eating raw steak, or chopping down trees, to vacuum my house. Perhaps my girlfriend is coming over. She doesn’t want to see a dusty carpet.

I was sick of unwinding the cord and working out how to use the vacuum cleaner every time I wanted to use it. Besides, the designer’s political views suck, which made me want to smash it (grr).

So I found this little beauty. It takes Makita LXT batteries – just like my man-tools. I don’t have to plug it in, so I can just suck up dust to my heart’s content. It’s kind of fun to use. And for an extra fiver, this version is the blingy one with the translucent dust chamber – so I feel superior to my stupid neighbours.

I knocked a star off, because it’s not really complete. You see, like any good bloke product, this vacuum is tuneable. I don’t have any kids and can buy what I want, so I ordered the optional cyclone chamber (30-odd quid). This transforms the vacuum – making it much easier to empty, and preventing you from having to clean the filter every 10 minutes. It also looks like it’s from Mars. Buy it. But it should probably be included from the factory, so I knocked a star off. Sorry Makita people. Love you.

Incredible suction for such a small device! Lightweight, super easy to use and very versatile. Solid, quality build as you would expect from Makita. Better than anything like it. Should be a number one seller.

This is a great cleaner for reaching high places and picking up small bits at random, it is ideal for a small house/flat. The collecting bin is quite small and needs emptying regularly. I wouldn’t use it as my main vacuum cleaner.

Ideal for clearing up the car or small areas.
Not really useful for cleaning the house as it’s quite small but a great addition and saves time for small jobs.

I use makita kit for my job so I have batteries and chargers etc. It’s a great thing and has some serious suck for a wee vac. Battery life is good. Would be expensive if you had to buy the batteries etc.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPowerful and great vacuum cleaner, cleans up everything including dust smaller than sand. I would be even more happy if if was easier to clean after using it. When cleaning, it is difficult without having dust around the cleaner itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cleaner!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat value and a super vac for everyday cleaning of hard floors. My husband has Makita power tools so I didn’t have to buy a battery or charger, and the battery charges up very quickly, and easily lasts long enough to clean all my hard floors at least once.
Only complaint is it’s messy to empty as you have to clean the filter by hand. Also, I wouldn’t recommend it for rugs and carpets or stairs as it doesn’t have enough power for those jobs in my opinion. Other than that, very pleased with my purchase as it cleans hard floors well, is lightweight and easy to use and is good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersDecent for small use but if you have fine dust from sanding the filter clogs very quick and that makes it less powerfull. Imagine it would be exellent for pet hair on kitchen floors, couch ect….

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersThe Makita DCL180ZB is great. I bought it to replace a Dyson DC35 that is on its last legs.
I just cant be bothered getting my big hoover out any more.
The suction is amazing. The vacuum head sticks to the floor.
Be aware this is the same model as the cheaper DCL180Z but just looks more like a normal vacuum. It has the same performance.
Also, you will need to buy the 18v battery and charger separately. But buying all these still came to less than 125 for a machine
with a long lasting battery and 30+ minute run-time on full power.
It is very well made and reasonably quiet.
The waste is not as easy to dump as other cyclonic machines as you have to knock the dust/dirt off the filter every time you empty it.
But the efficiency and power more than make up for that in my opinion.
I would thoroughly recommend this machine.
