Other than the batter certainly not lasting the five hours as it states, I’d otherwise recommend this pump. Make sure you massage the breast and your nipple is angled correctly and this pump will make sure to fully drain the breast for you.

I have tried both mendela and spectra but this one is so far the one I prefer for comfort and price!

Great machine to use and made expressing really easy! So many different suction levels and a stimulation levels and easy to take apart to clean. Only downside is the machine is quite noisy.

I was using a single portable pump which I got a lot of use out of but I began producing too much milk and pumping too often. This mam double pump was brilliant for me. Strong but not painful suction, I tend to start on express setting 4 and work upwards if I need to, I don’t bother with the pre express modes. I use it twice for 40 mins and then it needs charging but it charges quickly and you can use it while it charges. I found it works better for me to not use the flanges, also saves room in the steriliser. It also fits other mam bottles so you can use larger ones which I had to.

Good suction but VERY LOUD. Not good for nighttime pumping. This is my back up pump and does the trick in a pinch.

The suction power wasn’t too great, it’s a bit difficult having to stay put in one place with so many wires everywhere with a newborn, I preferred the manual one, it’s quick and easy but tiring for the hands.

The pump was easy to use and set up. Easy to clean and sterilise.
Suction was good and you could increase and decrease as you like.
Once charged battery lasted about a day. That was with it being used 3 hourly.
Was good for price and did the job. Happy with purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery pleased with this pump.
The pump is very comfortable; you are in control of the suction with how hard you press; milk collects easily and efficiently (in a bottle or a storage pot); and the pump is simple enough to disassemble, wash, sterilise and reassemble. It is easy to pump, however the handle can be a little squeaky when pumping. This may be a bit irritating or frustrating if you want to be a silent pumper, but it hasn’t impacted on my ability to pump.

If you are looking to pump milk surplus to immediate requirements, I would definitely recommend purchasing the MAM storage pots which can be attached to the bottom of the bottle (of the pump).

I’ve got the Mam newborn bottles so figured it would make sense to get the same pump. This is great I can pump about 160ml in 5 mins. Your hand can get a bit tired but totally manageable. All the Mam stuff is great highly recommend – good price too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally pleased with this breast pump. Comfortable and not painful to use. Being able to change the suction strength individually per breast is a nice feature. I recommend this over a medela pump, which I have also used before. I have been pleased with all MAM products so far. We use their bottles and also used their nipple shield in the early stages. Very impressed. Nice that this pump comes with 2 free bottles too!

Great product. Easy to use and works well. Only slight downside is that I wish I had bought the double version as it would save time! The bottles are a great design. Box comes with a lot of handy extra’s.

Writing on behalf of my partner. We had previously used a hand held expressing machine. She was fed up with it after pumping 30 mins. This machine made it easy and fairly automatic. We recommend this to any new family. Our son is now 2 months and still using the bottles.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersShe’s a month old now and I’m still using this, it’s really easy to dismantle and clean for the MAM sterilisation unit. Works like a charm, compatible with all MAM bottles, but does have a squeaky noise. The only downside as with any manual breast pump is the time and effort, but if you’re using formula and express feeding, it doesn’t break the bank like an electric one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant breast pump, for quick pumping. I use to relieve one of my breast if really full. Also very good that in attaches to mams bottles that I can pump and then feed my baby by just adding the teat on the end and feeding, which reduces the amount of stuff I am using, which makes cleaning and sterilising quicker. Which we all need with having demanding babies

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersExcellent product
    Pros
2-1 functionality so you can use it manually and electronically
    All instructions easy to use
    Parts are easily sterilised
Can express directly into storage container/ bottle
Suction manually and electronically is excellent – much better than expected. Resulting in fast expression of milk and pain free use.
Electronic attachment comes with a timer built in and 2 types of suction to encourage milk letdown similar to the suction of a baby

    Cons
    Not quiet
Rather large when all put together
I cracked the manual handle quite easily, but it can still be used

Note – only able to express 1 breast at a time

Brilliant kit which is highly recommended. Much better than the hospital one I was originally provided. Good Suction and ability to express a good volume in a relatively short space of time. I have recommended this when people have asked.

My electric pump was faulty but MAM replaced this quickly for me. It works well I tend to use just the electric pump which is quick and also pretty quiet.

  19. KatrinaPennell says:

Very comfortable to use but the electronic pump is quite noisy. If you’ve used a mandela pump you will notice slightly less suction power. Haven’t found different sizes for the pump attachment. Mam storage containers don’t fit directly onto the pump so you need to pump into a bottle and then transfer to your chosen storage.

I bought this when my baby was a couple of weeks old, I am currently using around 5 times a day to pump both breasts. The electric pump is Easy to use and it’s great that it comes with bottles but the hand pump isn’t so great. It felt quite flimsy and took double the time the electric one does. I had to use the hand one as some water got into the tube at one point.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis has been a life saver! My little one has had two ops, so I’ve had to pump when he can’t feed. The manual one is good when I need to be discreet in hospital and quiet and the electric one is quick and easy to use! All easy to take apart clean and pop in a steriliser too! Simple design and battery lasts a while ! Seeing as I was pumping every 2/3 hours for 2/3 days at a time!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis works well when used consistently. Our electric pump failed after about a week. But after a quick message to MAM they sent a replacement the next day so can’t fault the customer service.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI’ve only ever used the Medela electronic pump before this one. That started to die – over five years old. This pump is amazing. I can’t actually fault it. Love the fact that it’s chargeable and I don’t need a plug socket to use it. It also has a cover for the funnel. I was using the Mam bottles and the fit is perfect on bottles, very sturdy when attached to bottles so no accidents (so far). Might actually be one of the reason I breast feed longer. Thank you Mam.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI bought this in December in preparation for my daughter being born on December 20th. As we were establishing breastfeeding, I have only recently used the pump to express. The manual one is fine and the electric one super easy.

Unfortunately after only 2 charges – it no longer charges AT ALL! And I cannot use the electric version. If I could get hold of anyone to sort this out – I would be grateul as otherwise, it is a great buy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is one of the best things I’ve bought. Honestly brilliant. If you have a quick read of the instructions before the first time you use it, you can’t go wrong. Haven’t used the hand pump as the electric one is so good. Don’t find it too noisy at all and easy to store breast milk in the pots. Or I just bought breast milk bags and use the pots to collect it. Worthy spending the money on.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like this pump. I’ve not tried any others so I have nothing to compare it to but I found it easy to use and it works well. I don’t use the manual pump as the electric one is obviously far quicker but it’s handy to have it.

The pump is good but when using I noticed the pipe has a hole in it and I’m just wondering if I can get a replacement pipe as I’ve only had it a day
