I bought the deluxe ice cream set for my daughter when she was 5. She is now 8 and still loves playing with it. It is by far the best toy we’ve owned – sturdy, great role play, lots of fun and is such a great looking item I haven’t minded in the slightesr it sitting on the lounge floor for over 3 years! I bought it on offer for 30 and have seen it is now 48. Knowing what I know now I think I would still buy it at this price. It is the kind of toy I imagine myself holding on to to pass on to the grandchildren! We also have the pizza counter which has also been enjoyed but the ice cream set has been the favourite. Visiting children love to see how high they can pile their ice creams!

Bought this for my 4 year old who was recovering from an operation. She instantly fell in love and played with it lots. It is a little fiddly for little ones to begin with but once they get the hang of the scoop they are well away with it. One thing I will say is it’s not the best quality for the price. Within the first play session some of the paint had begun to chip of and we were not playing roughly with it. Just think maybe a different stronger sealant should have been used.

Bought for our 3 (almost 4) year old niece who loves to play shops and cafe type imagination games and her face was an absolute picture when she opened it! She immediately wanted it out the packaging to play with it and hasn’t stopped playing with it since Christmas Day. It’s a well made toy and really looks the part. Would definitely recommend.

Wow this is a firm favourite of making ice cream and using the scoop and adding toppings.
I had seen one in our local role play centre and all the kids were playing with. Was little worried at the price (although had on offer) but the little one has made ice cream every day and for everyone that has come to visit.
Definitely worth the money as very well made and will love up to the test of time

My 4 and 2 year olds got this for Christmas and they’ve loved playing with it! I love that theirs multiple menu options and that everything has a place – would just be great if the money included was laminated or more sturdy!
All my 5 grandchildren have consistently played with this aged 2 up to 10. Gives you some time off to actually have a cup of coffee. Excellent for imaginative play. It’s really well made. Love it.

Good product shame about the state of the box more parcel tape holding it together than actual box. Not sure if item ok as can’t open plastic covering until Christmas!!!!

The Melissa and Doug cafe is a great one. My daughter is three and she loves playing cashier and super market so this was just an added bonus. It’s fun to swipe the card, sign your name and make all the sweet treats and interact with the “customers” this has already brought great imaginative play and hours of fun.
I am a big fan of Melissa & Doug products. For me, they have been imaginative (down to the minute details), easy to assemble and extremely durable.
This cafe was easy to assemble, there is one long screw that needs to be screwed and you are done. It comes with a multitude of accessories, most are made of wood. My kiddos play with this often and love setting up shop.
I am not sure if you get a great value, but you do get a great, well-constructed product and the amount of imaginative play is well worth it.
My 3.5 year old loves to try and use my real expresso machine so this was the perfect product for him! Lots of fun for littles with growing imaginations and opening it was exciting due to all the cute little parts it comes with. The straws fit into the cups, wooden juice box and milk carton. There are also different toppings like whip cream that fit on the cups. This doesn’t come with any sound effects which, for me, is a huge plus!
Overall amazing quality and a lot of fun. Excellent gift idea for toddlers and young children.
I’ve owned many sets by Melissa and Doug and am never disappointed. This barista/cafe set it high quality, features durable wood and plastic pieces. The register is super cute and can swivel around to have your customer sign off on their purchase and swipe their card. There are cake pops, cookies, granola bars, pink drinks, coffee drinks, lemonade and tea, juice boxes, milk, etc. SO MANY OPTIONS.
The assembly is minimal- snap in register and one screw to secure the drink frother (see last photo)
My daughter plays with this set everyday it’s one of her favorite toys.
Bought for 2yr old granddaughter and she was well pleased with her gift which kept her entertained for hours. She loved playing make believe and serving us all ice cream cones with sprinkles or ice cream in tub with chocolate. Very educational, interactive and conversational for child of this age and helps with learning new words. Love wooden toys and this one is really lovely and colourful. Bit dearer than a lot of other wooden toys but never let down with this M&D sturdy range & you get the quality you pay for plus a set that will last for years. Highly recommend
Has so many little details! The brownies, and cookies and whip cream topper for the cups. Also has the cup cover that coffee shops when the cup itself if hot. Such an adorable set!
This toy is very unique. Everyone comments on having not seen anything like it before. My 2 year old twins love playing with it. It encourages them to stack the ice creams on top of each other, ask people what they want & the sentences it’s encouraged them to say is hilarious ‘roll up, roll up, get your nice cream here’
Bought for my two boys aged 4 and 2, great for imaginative play and all good sizes included in the set so they can’t choke on any small pieces, made from good quality material and perfect size to move around for outside play or play in their bedrooms

Sadly poor quality painting on the top of the product so doesn’t look quite as I had hoped.
This is a gorgeous wee toy we bought for our 2 year old nephew. On his Birthday all his cousins and brothers played ice-cream shop for quite a long time. 5 boys aged 2 to 6 had great funs. It teaches the little ones about colours, flavours, toppings, shopping (buying and selling) and of course pretending to eat something very yummy. Great role play toy in lovely style and colours. Hours of fun to be had!
Bought this for my 3 and a half year old daughter for Christmas 2020. Best money ever spent on a toy for her. She has spent many many many hours playing with this and still, nearly a year on, enjoys playing with it regularly. She absolutely loves it and gets so much enjoyment from playing ice cream shop with family and friends. She especially loves to ‘make’ bespoke ice creams for her customers whilst charging extortionate (1000 per ice cream) prices. It’s great to practice buying and selling and getting used to shop transactions and money but also to get a sense of pride in making something that others will like. I originally thought it was a touch expensive but cost-per-play really does mean its been worth every penny and more.
