I’d tried with cheaper alternatives. Should have saved my money and gone with the MS pen from the start, they are made for the job!
he pen looks new and the price was so low, it came with a battery as well, extremely pleased. It is the real Microsoft pen not a fake one as well
I was a bit doubtful when i realised that the retailer wasn’t actually Microsoft but the pen actually works very well with my surface pro 7 and looks identical to the pen I purchased with my laptop. There is a slight difference in weight though as this pen is much lighter than my old one but it works excellently.
I use this with MS Go2. Works very well, accuracy and ease of use are good, but unfortunately the Go2 screen is a little bit slippy for it to be completely accurate in the very fine detail. However I aim to try it with a paper-feel screen protector and expect the pen to really come into its own.
Really easy to use, synced v quickly, great for working in tablet or laptop mode, enhances my working and helps me speed up
The pen wasn’t as easy to set up at the instructions said it was. but once up and running, it works perfectly.
I only paid 46 as there was an offer but worth the price not the rrp
Ready to go right out of the box, this the third one that I’ve bought from amazon for no other reason than I keep losing them !! O/A well worth the money.
bought this product to use with my surface pro after finding it difficult to write on work sent by teachers in lockdown. I decided to buy the original as at the time it was only few ‘s more than others. A year on im happy with buying this and not encountered any issues whatsoever. The product has proved to be very useful during the first and second lockdown as a GCSE student.
Brought this when I purchased the surface pro 7, easy to set up and use, the price is a little bit high for what it is considering my daughter has a similar one that cost 20 and does the same job.
The Microsoft Surface Pen is well made with quality materials and feels good in the hand, responsive and accurate, nice add on accessory to my Surface Go. At 99 it’s overpriced, I paid 67 which is closer to the mark, but between 55 and 60 would be a more reasonable price IMHO.
Very easy to get up and running – like in the days before things were digitised (showing my age there).
The only loss of a star is because it’s a tiny bit laggy when using photoshop for detailed work. Not bad enough for a bad review, but when I’ve spent over 2k on a microsoft machine, and then have to buy the pen on top, I kind of expect something that works flawlessly. It’s nearly there, but not quite.
This pen is a little bit expensive but truly a must for students like me and it is a great product.
Battery life is about one year. I use it everyday to take notes and write on my surface.
Very well built and a great product overall
A must have for the surface pro, comes with batteries and feels excellent in the hand. The colour is also very sleek, comes in original Microsoft box with full warranty, easy to pair straight out the box and is a game changer for anyone who owns a surface
Works really well, I use for taking notes at school on a surface go and don’t have any complaints after 4 months. I read that some people had issues with it not being accurate enough but I haven’t noticed that at all! Would recommend getting the pack of multiple bibs as it’s nice to find the one that suits you best!
Genuine Microsoft pen peat and a lot cheaper than the Microsoft store . Only issue with genuine pen is they take a AAAA (4A) battery which are not as available as the AAA batteries used by the copies but the pens are very good did not want the chance buying a copy.
This is my second pen and I don’t know why but it is lighter and made with a slightly different coating to my other pen. This one is platinum and my other one is burgundy. This one is lighter and with the coating it is so easy to hold and to use, an absolute delight. While the burgundy one is heavier and is super gloss which means it keeps sliding in your hand.
love using the pen,
It could do with a clip so I dont keep looking it
The cost has come down to 67 , but still. that is very expensive for what it is . So I gave it only one star for value for money. I think it shouldn’t be more than 20
Still, I use it regularly
Not too bad quite intuitive experience but wish it was explained more with more built in applications to use , doesnt work in many applications and most have to be paid or part of a subscriptio
It’s great, but ofc is quite pricey. I’ve had it for a few months and have still not had to change the batteries for it – it’s still at 90% after 3 months of usage. It was a bit awkward to hold at first but got used to it after practice. Very sleek pen and defo satisfied with it!
Bought this product so I can use it with my Surface Pro 6 and it has been great. Allows me to write my uni notes really easily. However the bib of the pen has seemed to bend and it is not straight. Considering it has only been a few months old I am disappointed with this. I can buy a new pack of nibs from Microsoft however I shouldn’t need to spend extra when I have spend 60 in the first place. Apart from this the product is good for uni students looking to take notes on their surface pro product.
Lost my pen for my Microsoft laptop pro and had to replace it. This was great, it came quickly and was so easy to install (didn’t really need to just pressed the button while I was at the laptop). This is great for illustrations and did everything my other pen did (looks the same aswell) and they last for ages.
Accurate and pressure sensitive pen which works perfectly on my Surface Pro 3 (minus the shading capability when you lean the pen which isn’t supported).
It feels solid in the hand and not too heavy to write with. The soft rubber tip makes it feel more natural than I was expecting; not quite like paper but maybe halfway there.
It’s a little pricey for what it is and sadly doesn’t have a erase button along the edge so you have to flip the pen to erase which, although intuitive, is annoying.
This pen survived from austria going to the highway crossing the border to italy and climbing 2000m from sea level and still managed to hol itself to the car an work
This was a cool addition to my Surface set-up which I occasionally use, but it was expensive I feel for what it is. It has a lot of good features, such as magnetic attachment to the Surface when not in use & a various buttons… Just not worth over 50 in my opinion.
If I’m honest, the Bluetooth functionality of this pen saves little time, especially when all the features are available after a short tap on the taskbar, but it’s a nice feature. The pen function itself is extremely accurate, arguably comparable to writing with a real pen. It goes without saying that this pen works best with the Surface series of products, but I do believe it will work with other computers that support Pen input. You may, however, be better looking into a pen that is slightly cheaper. With this device, you are truly paying for the reliability of Surface.
I’ve used it on drawing software and on the Microsoft Maps software which lets you draw on the map, and it seems accurate to me. Note: I am not a professional artist so cannot asses this for complete accuracy.
Works really well and gives alot of added flexibility for the use of the surface. Great for taking notes by hand or typed on the train/during lectures. Can honestly say I don’t use paper anymore for my personal notes.
Only criticisms are the price and the lack of replacement nibs for the pen.
Build: Well built and very nice to use.
Design: looks slick and suits the modern aesthetic of the surface pro.
Its a decent stylus pen but the difference in quality between it and the apple pencil is night and day. There is latency and not what I expected for the price.
Pairs really fast and the battery seems to last forever (the level can be seen in the settings menu).
The accuracy and latency are slightly worse than the apple pencil but you can’t code on an iPad so this was my only option as a computer science student.
Also when using OneNote with the pen, you cant use the pressure sensitivity at the smallest pen size in the software so you have to use the next size up which then makes you use a more spaced outlined background (this took me forever to figure out what was going on).
Microsoft please include this in future surface computers and please drop the price ~100 is crazy for how basic this is.
