———————FAQ——————–

Q1: Why can’t be recognized after inserting the U disk?

A1: Please refer to the manual to check whether the file format in the U disk can be read. This mini projector has a USB 2.0 interface, so it only supports U disks(No more than 64GB) with the same USB2.0 interface(the interface color is black). The USB flash drive with a USB 3.0 interface is not supported(the interface color is blue).

Q2: Why is there only picture and no sound when I project

A2:Mini Projector Y3 does not support Dolby Audio, please check if Dolby Audio is enabled.

Q3: Can this mini projector be used for PPT presentations or teaching?

A3: This portable projector is ideal for home theatre and is not recommended for business presentations or professional teaching. Mini Projector Y3 does not suitable for daylight, please use it in the dark.

Q4:When using HDMI for projection, why does it show the message “no signal” on the screen?

A4: The reason for “no signal” basically is the limitation of the input source or a bad connection with a defective HDMI cable.

Please check:

1.Test the HDMI cable with other devices(like your TV) to find out if it is available.

2.Check whether you have selected the right signal source [HDMI] when connecting the projector, if it shows “no signal” at first, please press the [Return] button on the remote to return to the home page and re-select the signal source.

3.If you are using a laptop to connect the projector, please make sure that the display option is [Duplicate].

PS: You can quickly change the laptop’s display settings with the [Windows]+[P] shortcut.

I bought it on sale as a Christmas present for my daughter . Of course I have to check it before I will give it to her it’s great! But you must have fire stick (which I bought on Amazon as well) then just install whatever you like (YouTube,Netflix) and enjoy good quality picture and sound. Thumbs up from me

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this on lighting deal as was looking for one to use now and again not everyday. It is a great mini projector. So simple to set up and connects to all streaming platforms if using an android phone for screen mirroring. I connect to surround sound external speakers. The fan is a little noisy but you won’t notice if using your own speakers. This does connect to Netflix and Disney plus only on android devices if screen mirroring is supported on your phone. Picture and quality is pretty good and no blurring or glitches as some reviewer’s have noted.

The projector is very small and easy to store away, but it also looks cute enough to keep out. The quality of the projector is amazing, but of course you can still see some pixels if you’re really close to it. Pair this projector with a chrome cast or fire stick and you’ve basically got a smart Tv.

Perfect for movie nights. Your own big screen. Works well with Chromecast and FireTV. Its own sound is sufficient and not too loud to distract. Also works smoothly with my sound bar (UE Boom). Finding the right zoom and angle can be tricky, but that I believe is true for all projectors. So is the prerequisite of darkness.

I use it without a white cloth/screen, directly on the wall. As I project it to the upper part of my living room wall, I need to stack a few boxes on a bar stool to make it high enough to work for me. Hacky for those who despise cluttered living room, but I like these imperfect bits 🙂

I bought the projector when it was on discount. It’s not great if you want to watch any movies with subtitles. The subtitles blur out, even fiddling with the adjustments does not help

I have had a few mini projectors that have been a let down but I am glad to say that this projector certainly didn’t disappoint.

It is a cute design and we’ll made.

Very easy to setup and use.

Projects well on the wall, ceiling but best on to a screen (like any projector).

Very portable and lightweight for what it is.

    Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThought I was asking too much for a half decent watch in the summer house and I was right. Absolutely pathetic, full brightness was no brighter than 50%. Not sunny when tested and all blinds closed and you could barely see the picture. Maybe good in a pitch black cellar or something, but certainly not suitable for general house use. Returned.
Edit – after speaking to customer service this item is indeed more suited to a “cinema room” type of environment, where the ambient light need to be minimal, the detail looked OK up close, but it was unfortunately unsuitable for my application.

hell this thing packs a heavyweight punch for its size (its big enough to sit in your hand).

you can connect just about anything to it. it accepts hdmi, bluetooth, usb, wifi…

it projects in full hd and has a recommended projection size between 40-100″

    its portable.

hell there’s not a lot to complain about. if i were to pick one thing it would be the speaker quality. but, if you take everything else into consideration, this is still a brilliant piece of engineering.

the picture quality is brilliant for something so small, at time of testing i had nothing more than a freshly painted white wall. the picture projected was of a much higher quality than i was expecting, and it didn’t seem to falter around the edges.

    love this…

This is a fun design, useful piece of equipment for any household.

Easy to set up ( infact, my child did it himself aged 10)

    Good quality picture and sounds
Small in size, compact enough to take anywhere.

    Definitely recommend this product.

If you are looking for a cheap projector for the odd family movie night, this will do the job great.

The projector is very compact which makes it great for travelling for an outdoor movie night. The picture quality and brightness obviously doesn’t compare to a high-end projector however in a dark room or outside at night, it is perfectly watchable and quite an enjoyable experience. The picture is 720p native which is fine and it has HDMI, USB and Bluetooth so you can use it with pretty much any source you want.

The sound isn’t great so you would probably want to use external speakers. Overall, though, I would certainly recommend, especially at the great price of around 70.

This projector is perfect if you want a little movie night with a loved one or the children. I found it very easy to connect up to my phone and projected the image onto the wall in the dark.

The projector is fairly small in size and very lightweight so it’s perfect to use when travelling.

The sound quality could do with being slightly better from the projector but you can easily just link up a speaker instead. I’m found the image to be clear and sharp enough to watch.

Small, lightweight and easy to set up

At the time of review in February 2023, this YOTON Store mini project was 49.99 (RRP 79.99, but there is currently a voucher to use to reduce the price). For this price, you will never get the highest quality digital projector, but if you are looking for a basic home cinema set-up, this could be for you.

It is very simple to set up through home WIFI, and we also connected a Bluetooth speaker to it. The picture quality is good (I am surprised that it is classed as HD, as I didn’t think it was that sharp), and it is certainly good enough to keep younger children happy with watching cartoons.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve been using projectors for years, both at home and professionally including some very powerful and expensive ones. I’m not trying to show off, just to indicate that this comes from someone who knows what to look for and what you can expect from a projector.

I’ve also tried a couple of this type of cheap projector in the past and even with realistic expectations I ended up disappointed and returned them.

I’m pleased to say this is the first such cheap one that I’ve actually been impressed by. However, let me immediately qualify that by saying you do need to go into it with realistic expectations. You absolutely must have a dark room for it to be watchable. It’s really not very bright so even a small amount of ambient light will wash out the image quite badly. Also the keystone adjustment isn’t really usable because it makes it impossible to have the whole screen in focus at the same time. So you need to leave the keystone adjustment set to the middle and position the projector dead centre to the screen.

However with those caveats out of the way and bearing in mind the extremely low price, the picture you get from it is perfectly watchable. Even the sound quality is OK. I’d say it’s slightly better than the sound you get from an average phone speaker. Those things combined mean I think it’s totally acceptable as a portable solution for entertaining kids (or adults) while travelling, for example. I wouldn’t recommend it for a permanent installation at home because the fact you can’t (or rather shouldn’t) use the keystone adjustment and the lack of zoom means you have to physically position it carefully to fit the desired screen (or screen-shaped patch of wall), which in reality will be quite awkward. But for travelling that matters much less and it would be fairly easy to prop it up on something to get a good-enough image. There’s also a tripod thread on the bottom so that’s an option too.

So even though I won’t be replacing my main projector at home, I do look forward to using this for trips away. I’m also thinking about using it for digital decorations at Halloween to project a ghost or something into a window. I think it would be perfect for that.

I’ve been using it over HDMI and playing MP4 files from a USB stick, both of which work well. I briefly tried to mirror my phone screen to it, only to discover that my phone doesn’t support the right type of screen mirroring so that’s not going to work for me. You need “Screen Mirroring”, not “Screen Cast”, which is what I have and I suspect many other modern Android phones will be the same.

So overall, as long as you don’t expect miracles, it’s surprisingly good and absolutely watchable in the right environment.

I’ve been using this outdoors during the dark nights to project my Nintendo Switch onto the wall at the side of my property, the setup is easy, the picture is good for this price point and it works great. A nice little projector that does everything you’d expect it to. Very pleased with it.

I think this is a fun projector, the quality isn’t the best on the market, but I wouldn’t expect it from an 80 projector anyway.
The room needs to be fairly dark, and the contrast isn’t that great, but for watching content which is bright like sports, it’s great.
I think it’s great for a night with friends or perhaps for watching cartoons too with the family.

I specifically wanted this projector for screen mirroring from my Sony smartphone, to facilitate giving illustrated talks to small local groups. I was looking for something small and simple without any unnecessary bells and whistles, and this ticks all the boxes.

The optimum distance from the project to the screen is about 6 to 7 feet and in a reasonably dark room, the image is clear and fairly sharp.

Although I mostly intend to use it for still images, I did try it on clips from YouTube and the quality of both the image and the sounds is surprisingly good.

The wireless connection to my smartphone was very simple to set up – in fact, it took me by surprise: I was just peering at the instruction book to see what I needed to do next, and when I looked up, the the phone and the projector had started talking to each other without any further help from me.

It obviously has its limitations, but for its size (which is no bigger than one of those old hand-held slide viewers) and price it’s pretty impressive. Light, easily portable and straightforward with intuitive controls, it’s a good piece of kit. Recommended.

For the size and price ... excellent.

Yoton’s mini projector is a compact little unit which sits comfortably in the palm of your hand. It is light weight and easy to transport should you wish to take it on your travels.

Some projectors only support wired connections but the Yotan mini projector also has support for connection over WiFi. Connect the projector and your phone, tablet or laptop to the same WiFi network and you can cast whatever is displayed on the device’s screen to the projector to be displayed on a big screen or wall.

The projector has a USB port into which you can plug a USB memory stick filled with videos and there is a HDMI port for connection to a PC via a cable or you can just plug a Firestick directly into it.

The native resolution is 720p with support for 1080p. What this means is that while the projector will accept 1080p (1920×1080) or Full HD content it will display it at 720p (1280 x 720) or HD resolution with no apparent distortion or compression artefacts. A native Full HD projector would cost a lot more.

The projector needs a dark room for best results. It is not powerful enough for daylight display and the more light entering the room the more the on-screen image will wash out. To be honest, this is expected at the price level the projector sells for, you would have to spend several hundred more for a professional daylight projector.

The on-screen image will also lose contrast or wash out the further away the projector is from the screen. I found the sweet spot to be about 6 to 7 feet away which projects an image about the size of a 55 inch TV. The on-screen image can only be adjusted for vertical keystone and focus at the projector via two recessed knurled wheels.

I think the Yoton mini projector is ideal for travelling and/or would make a fantastic present for a teenager who can then cast youtube videos onto their bedroom wall. It’s not going to replace a decent size (46″ or above) TV as although it can project a 100″ image it would be a poor viewing experience.

The price at the time of this review was discounted to 69.99 which in my opinion makes it a bit of a steal.

Small and compact, perfect for travelling.

For a palm sized projector, it’s very good. Crisp image between about 2 and 5 metres from a good surface. The remote works well. It’s quite easy to set up, and takes hdmi. Claimed output 720p.
    Not very noisy.

The speakers are awful, but who uses projector speakers anyway?

The downsides are that the keystone control has minimal adjustment and then makes the edges really blurry. There is very little colour and video management options.
The wheel to focus the image is hard to get to, because it’s deep inside a cavity.
The projector has to be almost centre of the image horizontally and vertically because the keystone only allows for vertical adjustment, and even that doesnt allow for it to remain crisp.

Okay when you consider it’s size and claimed output and a price in two digits. Don’t expect to be blown away, but enough for a few episodes of easy watching tv series or a photo slideshow

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis little projector surprises when connected up to a suitable video output, for the price and size of the device, the picture projected is actually pretty decent. I used this in a dark room on a clean, white wall and from nearly 3 metres away the unit produced a relatively sharp, clear image when paired up with a firestick, the sound is even fairly good for a small speaker but can be easily upgraded with an external speaker of desired. The image was easily adjusted using the 15 keystone correction wheel and focus adjuster to produce an even, focussed picture that had decent detail even from across the room. I mounted it on a small tripod for easily adjusting the angle and height of the unit to produce the best picture, the remote control allowing easy setup and navigation of the menus.

This would be ideal for taking on trips due to its compact size, allowing essentially a portable cinema to be carried around with you when paired with a suitable output and any flat, white wall to display it on. My wife has also utilised it for a different purpose which it also does very well being small and easily placed, she uses it to project sewing patterns onto fabric without the need to print off reels of paper to achieve the same result.

I tried connecting to it via screen mirroring with both a tablet and a phone and while it does work, the connection is a little unstable, there’s sometimes a delay between the output and the display while some glitches appear from time to time, for the most part I’ll be using this with a wired connection so it’s not an issue I’ll have, if it’s something you need this may not be the ideal product for your requirements.

Overall for the cost of this mini projector I’m quite impressed by the performance, sure it’s not the sharpest, highest resolution picture but you’re not paying high end money for it so it really comes down to bang for buck and in this respect it definitely gives you value for money.

    Impressive performance for the price
