Really impressed with lawnmower, lightweight and no cable to worry about, we only have a small lawn so batteries last well.
I only have a small area of grass and found I was constantly getting caught up in the cables of my previous mower. I now have this one and I am happy to say no cord and no tripping myself up. I am very happy with the mower which has cutting height adjustment and manoeuvres very easily. It is not lightweight but then it is not very heavy so to my mind the perfect garden tool.
I did not like the fact that the washers pinged off when I tried folding the handle, I bought some longer screws that soon cured that problem, other than that it has been excellent, can make a much higher cut than my previous mower, which was a boon when making the first cut after stimming my bedraggled winter weary lawns, high cut stopped the mower digging in once they had dried out a bit. Now lowered to keep them in trim looks great, I also re-charge after every cut, it did not appear to like starting with partially charged batteries discharging quickly, Make sure the batteries are firmly settled in place.
Easy to assemble and store. Quiet with a good battery life and cuts & collects the grass very well. Handles well and light to manoeuvre. Good buy.
Used yesterday for first time and, so far, impressed. Batteries still quite full after half-hour cutting both lawns. Didn’t like instruction book – diagrams only – but found an excellent YouTube video on how to assemble handle etc. The reason I gave only 4 stars overall was that the grass collector has sharp edges on the inside, which resulted in a slight cut to hand when brushing out after use, but will wear gloves next time; if these edges were rounded off it would have had 5 stars.
Brilliant lawnmower and lightweight too.0 no electric cords for us oldies to trio over, a real bonus, highly recommrnded
First time I opted for a cordless and trusted the brand name on the advice of others. Not disappointed in the slightest. Great mower, love the performance and so nice to mow without a cord. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a small lawn.
We have a large petrol lawnmower that I can’t use, this lawnmower is so easy for me to use it is lightweight, easy to assemble and only takes me 20 minutes to cut a large garden, the extra special detail is to add it is cordless no struggling with a long cord. Well worth the money.
It was easy to assemble although the instructions could be better. Have only used once but it cut 75 square meters of grass very well and the batteries still had loads of charge left. Very light and easy to handle. The grass box is a bit small but is easy to empty and re fit. Overall very pleased with the purchase.
I think it’s the best thing I have ever bought it is superb cuts the grass in one go
This is a nice compact mower. I initially thought the handle was a bit high, but when using was fine. As I said previously
I was disappointed the handle wasn’t foldable for storage, my previous mower, which this Mountfield replaces, has a
folding handle. What I did was transfer the fittings from my old mower folding handle to this handle and bingo job done. Now perfect lawnmower!!!
We could have used the mower straight out of the box. There was certainly enough charge in the batteries. Nevertheless, we charged them anyway. Assembly was easy, and today our grass had its first cut of the year. On a mid-range setting to begin with, our 240 sq mtrs of grass (divided into three lawns, front, side and rear) was cut in less than an hour. Our principal gardener (my wife who has just turned 75) needed a mower that was light, and could be easily manoeuvred around the shaped borders, and the five trees dotted about the lawns. This fit the bill perfectly. She is delighted with it. On completion, when the batteries were put back on the charger, there were still three solid green lights showing. Plenty of charge left. Most certainly, a good buy.
Used it once and seems to be very good…much quieter that my old corded lawnmower, hopefully will still be pleased with it after a few cuts.
I bought this mower because my wife was finding my petrol mower too heavy to manoeuvre. I’ve been so pleased with this one, I rarely use the petrol one. It’s so easy to use, and no more trips to fill up the petrol can. One charge is more than enough for my 100 ft long lawn.
Arrived last week, bought the 34cm size only used it once, the batteries hold the charge for ages, we mowed back and front with no trouble, our lawns are about 24ft x 30ft each, even managed to get a stripe on the lawn though the mower doesn’t have a roller. The handle, for us, is a little too long for storage between mowing, although our space is limited. Very easy to put together, the grass box is a bit fiddly but I think it’s because it’s new and we aren’t used to it yet. Definitely the way forward for the future, no wires to trip over, I would recommend this mower.
All ways had petrol mowers. So time for a change. What a great little mower good power cuts great love it.
This mower was purchased to supplement an old petrol roller mower that is becoming more difficult to use. Although I miss the stripes the cut is superrior and collects all fallen leaves. Lightweight and hopefully lasts as long as my old Qualcast mower..
This is a very good machine with good battery life . The only thing I would change is it should have a folding handle
