This was a pretty rough installation process for me. It unfortunately comes with a CD-ROM for downloading Windows..? So ensure you have a USB download ready before starting up.
This motherboard does not come with wireless Wi-Fi so if you’re looking for that, make sure to buy a separate Wi-Fi dongle.
It comes with USB ports galore and has great speeds for ethernet connections!
Disregarding the set up process it’s efficient, strong and smooth.
PSA: As always, make sure it suits your current PSU, GPU and CPU before purchasing!
La carte mere est trs bien, cependant en installant mon gros Noctua ainsi qu’une RTX 3080 la taille imposante de ces deux lments ont malheureusement bouch l’acces un branchement d’un port USB/USBC et HDMI de mon boitier (rien de grave mais c’est vrai que certains composant tant gigantesque parfois a peut entraver des branchements.
Cependant je n’ai rien redire sur cette carte qui ne m’a pas pos de probleme en terme d’installation en dehors de ce que j’ai cit qui reprsent au total 3 ports (mais je vous rassures j’ai un tas de ports USB fonctionnel sur ma tour et ma carte graphique me permet d’avoir un port HDMI).
C’est une carte mre sans wi fi intgre , rien de grave , pour une dizaines d’euros vous pouvez avoir une cl usb WI FI .

La carte tait scelles dans la pochette antistatique et complte ouf. Elle fonctionne trs bien.

The motherboard is beautiful with all the features I’m going to need, plus room for expansion.
It was competitively priced with some micro ATX boards and with the room and potential I was set on the Gaming edge wifi.
As for the wifi, I cannot fault it.
No issues with MSI motherboards. Using them after many Asus gigabyte which failed after 2-3 years.
Kwam tijdens een zoektocht dit moederbord tegen. Ben zeer tevreden over de kwaliteit. Aangezien dit een fullsize ATX moederbord is, is alles super overzichtelijk. Snelheid is goed. I bought this at an excellently reduced price from Amazon, these high end MSI boards are my personal favourite. Highly recommended at the price point I got it at.
It’s a good quality product got it a bit later as it’s for 10th gen but at this price it’s great for a good upgrade path
One thing I’d like to highlight immediately is that not many beginners like myself know that mainboard screws for fixing it to the case WILL NOT be supplied by most motherboards.
Instructions supplied were relatively straightforward to follow. so assembly was done at a reasonable time.

Fits into my mid tower case no problem, bought this as a replacement/upgrade as my last motherboard died. Running it with a 10th gen i7 and 16gb of ram. Works like a charm and have had no issues so far.
I built a pc from scratch and was about to spend 500 quid on a motherboard. I’m so glad I tried this one. I have top spec hardware and this motherboard handles it all nicely. Highly recommended.
I upgraded my motherboard earlier this year and after 7 months use I thought it was time to give it a brief review…….. It is superb and a massive upgrade over my previous (inferior) MB. I opted for the MSI Meg Ace after watching/reading many reviews and I have to say this doesn’t disappoint. My rig is so much smoother, faster and it just performs so much better and it even looks the part what with the inclusive RGB lighting.
It has three m.2 slots which is great – I’m only using one slot currently but it offers future protection so as to not have to buy another MB due to a lack of slots.
And to top it off it comes with a 3 year warranty (I believe).
I have just assembled a new build and this motherboard was a blessing.
Pairing it with a MSI MPG SEKIRA 100R case made the process smooth and painless and all the nice extra features such as the SSD frozr and the extra heatsinks are a welcome addition at this price range.
I didn’t realise just how much of an effect this would have on my pc’s performance.
After owning for a couple of months:
Pros:
– Packaged very well. Comes with everything you’d need cable wise.
– Clearly of great build quality. It’s a solid & well thought out piece of kit.
– CPU temp led light at the bottom is fantastic to check temps quickly.
Cons:
-None so far.
Something went wrong in my build and i am not sure if that was the motherboards fault, but it was easy to install, the only problem i had was the some of the power slots are hard to reach other than that grea
The cooler was large so it was hard to reach some of the connectors when it was in the case but there were alternatives for some of them such as USBs

I have been very happy with it.
I got this board with a 10850k and 32gb of DDR4 Corsair ram and it’s rock solid so far.
You can of course spend more on other boards but this is solid with the above cpu and temps are also good with a all core overclock of 5ghz using x63.
Installation was fine, just a-bit of cable management needed.
When powering on for the first time as mentioned by other reviewers, make sure to properly set the boot order (so usb first when reinstalling windows).
So far so good and I am glad I got this board, having used other MSI products since the 90s.
You won’t be disappointed with this board!

Wrde auch 5 Sterne vergeben jedoch habe ich den Artikel als neu” auf der Amazon Plattform erworben und was habe ich bekommen einen bereits an einen anderen Kufer versandten Artikel welcher bereits einmal ausgepackt wurde.
Auch kam es mir komisch vor das der Artikel als lagernd angezeigt wurde und dann eine lange Reise aus Frankreich auf sich nehmen musste.
Habe den Umstand mit dem Kundenservice regeln knnen und einen kleinen Preisnachlass gewhrt bekommen.
Gute Sache aber ein bitterer Beigeschmack bleibt.
Bleibt abzuwarten wie sich das Motherboard schlgt, bis jetzt allerdings kann ich wirklich absolut nichts negatives sagen.

Worth ensuring that your PSU has 8-pin and 4-pin CPU power connectors that fit this motherboard although I believe you can get away with just the 8-pin.
Seems like a great product. No problems! Only thing I’d say is that make sure you get everything plugged in before you put it in the case because it can very tight around the cpu heat sync when it’s in the case.
Value for what you’re getting.

Glad I got it; would happily build another computer on this backbone again.
After purchasing this, I tried to register this product on the MSI website and found it impossible to. I constantly get a “code error” when trying to register an account and register the product. I have not had any issues with the mobo itself, but just keep in mind, their website is atrocious. I just hope their customer service isn’t either
My only mistake was that I did not get a mobo with wifi and Bluetooth (more importantly the Bluetooth) as I wanted to pair my ps4 controller with my PC and I couldn’t pair it with a USB cable which was frustrating. If someone knows a way to pair it then please let me know. I was thinking of getting a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth mobo extender to fit in my second PCIe 16 slot but if I do install it then it will be extremely close to my GTX 3060ti. I’ll probably end up getting a USB flash drive that is capable of doing Bluetooth
Overall I would recommend the product, it has everything I needed. You, as the consumer, need to just make sure this also has everything you need. I have had no problems with this Mobo. I was debating on getting a mobo with a PCIe 4.0 instead of 3.0 but apparently, there is not much difference.

Muy buena placa, la ms economica de la gama alta de MSI (con socket 1200 y chipset z490) . Muy completa y todo lo que le puedes pedir a una placa actual, y si quieres exprimir un poco como es mi caso un i7 de 10a generacion y una ram decente que admite de serie algo de overclock.
Incluye cables SATA y los mini tornillos para los discos M2 (que a veces no vienen incluidos)
Tiene puertos de sobra, y muchos conectores para ventiladores (unos 6) ademas de conexiones RGB para su iluminacin.
Buena compra, aunque es pronto para decirlo, pero espero que dure sin problemas!
I have used this motherboard to build a pc for the first time. It was very easy to handle and the instructions on how to connect all the components were clear.
The only downside is the lack of wifi, but except that everything is great!
Bios was also very easy to configure.
If you are looking for a great board at a great price, even if you have not built a PC before, this can be a good option.
Sturdily built, but retains pleasing aesthetics. This Motherboard was easy to install and set up with the included instructions. Had no trouble with it whatsoever. I’m pleased with what I got.
The BIOS screen made the subsequent set-up easy enough with all of its features, and the built in settings for Overclocking were also useful. It’s an excellent workhorse for the rest of my computer’s components. Easily worth the purchase.

Alle diese Dinge erfllt das Mainboard und befindet sich preislich am unteren Ende.
Beim Auspacken fiel direkt das schne und schlichte schwarze Design ins Auge, welches optimal zu dem Design des bequiet Pure Base 500 Window Gehuses passt. Ok, nach Einbau aller Komponenten sieht man am Ende nicht mehr so viel vom Mainboard, aber es fgt sich dennoch sehr gut optisch hinein. Der Einbau ging problemlos von statten und ist in der Anleitung auch gut beschrieben. Das Khlelement am ersten der beiden Steckpltze fr die NVMe-SSDs war eine positive berraschung, an die ich im Vorfeld gar nicht gedacht hatte.
Nach dem ersten Start des Rechners kam zuerst der Blick ins BIOS. Was soll ich sagen? Alles schn bersichtlich gestaltet. Die Boot-Reihenfolge lsst sich problemlos per Drag-and-Drop einstellen. Das BIOS-Update ist schnell erledigt. Im Vergleich zu meinen BIOS-Erfahrungen vergangener Tage ist das BIOS dieses MSI Mainboards ein Segen. Ich denke, ich werde mich hiermit in nchster Zeit noch intensiver auseinandersetzen. Das Men macht zumindest Lust auf mehr.
Das Mainboard kommt mit allen bentigten Treibern auf DVD daher. Ich habe allerdings alles Notwendige von der Webseite geladen, da ich kein DVD-Laufwerk mehr in der Konfiguration vorgesehen hatte. Vielleicht sollten die Hersteller hier langsam auf einen gnstigen USB-Stick schwenken 🙂
Im Dragon Center von MSI angekommen, lsst sich mit Mystic Light die Beleuchtung aller kompatiblen Komponenten steuern und mit verschiedenen Effekten in Szene setzen. Mein Neffe ist begeistert – das Kind in mir ebenso.
Die passende Software zum bertakten wird ebenfalls direkt mitgeliefert. Hier mssen wir aktuell aber noch nicht ran. Aber wir werden den eingebauten i5-10600K sicher in Zukunft noch ein wenig hher takten. Gengend Mglichkeiten zum Monitoring sind ja vorhanden.
Ansonsten funktionieren alle angeschlossenen Komponenten einwandfrei, was will man mehr?!
Wir sind rundum zufrieden und haben alle unsere Anforderungen zu einem vergleichsweise gnstigen Preis abgedeckt und dabei ein grundsolides und wertiges Mainboard erhalten.
The MSI M490 Gaming Edge Wifi is a great piece of kit. Installation into a new build was a breeze given the named ports and included accessories. Everything you’d expect a motherboard to have is there. The lights are activated through the MSI Dragon Centre app, and themselves are quite subtle on the motherboard near the graphics card, creating a neat, less gaudy look. It’s also worth noting that the Wifi adaptor included in the price doesn’t detract from the quality of the motherboard itself. A great inclusion to complete the motherboard!
I’ve been looking for a new board to upgrade my pc with for a while and with the features of this board for the price I found this to be the best. The 2 M.2 slots are great with the shielding. Wide choice of USB ports on the rear. 2.5g network port. Plenty of on board fan controllers instead of having to use splitters with my current board. Just waiting for my new cpu now to install. Looking forward to the overclock features aswell.
I’d not bought an MSI motherboard before, but I’m glad I chose this one. Nicely packaged, it comes with everything you need. Easy to install, great documentation and fantastic performance. I’m really happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another MSI motherboard.
Honestly, you won’t need any more expensive motherboard than this. It’s practically has everything a motherboard needs, and the price tag makes this 100% worth the purchase. +rep to MSI

2. Lieferumfang: Wie bei MSI gewohnt kommen im Paket eine bersichtliche und einfach verstndliche Bedienungsanleitung, ein Handbuch, 2 SATA Kabel und diverse kleine Gimmicks wie zum Beispiel ein MSI Aufkleber.
3. Design: Das Produkt ist elegant in schlichtem schwarz gehalten, allerdings enthlt es eine LED-RGB Beleuchtung auf dem Board. Besonders mit Mystic-Light-kompatibler Hardware ergibt sich ein sehr stimmiges Bild, das ber die von MSI bereitgestellte Software einfach und flexibel steuern lsst.
4. Technisches: Das Board kommt mit dem Z490 Chipsatz zum bertakten, was sich einfach im UEFI bewerkstelligen lsst. Besonders gefiel mir ebenfalls die einfach Lftersteuerung, mit der selbst 3-pin Lfter ber die Spannung geregelt werden knnen. Alle Anschlsse des Mainboards sind gut erreichbar und durchdacht platziert.
Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Mainboard zu einem vernnftigen Preis!
I’m dropping a star because the board was delivered with the product on display AND the box was opened! However… the anti-static bag was still sealed inside and nothing was (as far as I’m aware) missing.
The board itself is great if the z490e is out of budget, lots of IO, wifi, bluetooth m.2 cooler etc.
RGB lighting on the chipset but not the rear IO which is a shame.
Works well paired with a 10700k

sobre la memoria ram en la web oficial del producto encontrareis tambien una inmensa lista de compatibilidad de memorias rams ddr4; no hay ms que navegar hasta la pagina del producto en s: msi z490 gaming plus y buscar la pestaa QVL, junto a especificaciones, y vereis cuales asegura el fabricante que son compatibles.
si quieres meter un procesador K para cuando el i7/9 (de decima gen) se empiece a quedar pequeo y exprimir las memorias rams con Overclocking este es tu producto. Teniendo en cuenta que mi ultimo i7 2600K oc @ 4,2Ghz me ha durado mas de 8 aos espero que este tenga la misma vida larga o al menos parecida.(a falta de que intel no cambie de socket)

One of my furlough projects was to build my first true gaming pc. After a lot of searching, a friend of mine recommended this board.
I have been running it for over 3 weeks now and I have no complaints. Easy to install and configure. Love the RGB lighting on the board and the additional RGB fans make it look even better.

first board come broke but got a new board 2 days later free of charge after sending the broken one back, This board suits well with my 10700k
have had no issue so far, clean looks good and bios is usable
I did have to configure the bios to get 5.1-5.2GHz on my cpu and 3200 for my ram but its was easy enough
The motherboard itself has RGB which can be controlled through Dragon Center, which is also a brilliant piece of kit. Frozr shield for 1 of 2 SSD slots is also available; which can also be disabled through Dragon Center if required. 6 case fans all with 4-pin connectors are conveniently placed around the motherboard with a separate AIO pump fan and an air cooler fan for the CPU is included.
The box comes with 3 SSD stand-off screws (1 spare) and stickers for sleek cable management, along with the usual paperwork, manual and SATA connectors. Packaged well with motherboard safety in mind.
In terms of installation, the IO shield fits perfectly in my case cut-outs (NZXT H510) and installation was a breeze. The motherboard comes with a middle stand-off cutout to make mounting it easier.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both work flawlessly after chipset and LAN driver updates. At the time of writing both upload and download speeds are as expected from my ISP and speeds are pretty much the same as as an ethernet connection so no losses there. If it isn’t already clear – I am very happy with the on-board Wi-Fi.
Overall, this is a fantastic motherboard which has been designed and manufactured very well. Very happy with this purchase and hope to continue using it in future builds.
Ped la placa y me lleg en el tiempo de entrega esperado. La placa es de buena calidad, bonita y tiene todo lo que necesitaba. La compr porque calidad/precio/aspecto no hay nada mejor y adems quedaba bien a juego con mi MSI 2070 SUPER GAMING X TRIO. El montaje ha sido fcil, tiene refrigerador para el ssd nvme m.2, tiene buen diseo con LED’s y toda negra, por lo que el resultado final ha quedado muy limpio. Podra haber cogido una B460, pero como voy a hacer un poco de overclock, mucho mejor esta. Puedes modificar las luces con el software Mystic Light. A parte te puedes beneficiar de alguna que otra promocin en la web de MSI al comprar una de sus placas.
PD: La RAM debe ponerse en los huecos 2 y 4
The motherboard is more than grait but when the delivery was made i discovered what i was afraid of. When i received the product it had signs of opening,(the original box was not put on another cartboard box like they usually use ) after a closer look, after opening the box, i found marks of finger prints all over the motherboard (see pictures), the protective film from the IO shield was inside the box, not it was suposed to be, a mark of bending of the cooler sink on the top of the motherboard
