Got this for the a friend as she keeps dropping them down the toilet. But she is delighted with it. Lasts her all day, loves the camera, loves how smooth it is while using it on apps and internet etc.
This is a great handset for people who lightly use mobile phones on a day to day, or even to use as a secondary handset like me. The software doesn’t have a lot of bloatware, using stock Android makes it aesthetically pleasing, and quite smooth with a few jitters from time to time. The 90hz screen makes scrolling a dream on social media or even when browsing the web! My favourite part about this phone is the 5050 mah battery. Keep in mind that I don’t use this as a daily driver, however, the battery has easily been able to last almost 3 days without charge, and I’m sure if it was used it bit more rigorously, it could take you through the day with minimal issues in that category.
This phone works as it should , pleased with it gif the price , if you want anything better it’s double the price !
This phone is great for the price .. I have it in dusk .. love the colour..
Easy to set up ….. Once you get use to the features it’s simple and easy to use ..
Photo quality is also great ..
Don’t read to much into the negatives on feedbacks .. I suggest give it a go .. you can always send back
I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews regarding this device and I believe they are completely unwarranted.
The phone itself is fast for what I require it do such as maps, social media ect.
The battery life is also very good, I usually get about 1.5 days to 2 days with average screen time.
Very happy with the purchase.
Nice phone, lots of software upgrades, secure, fast, good camera.
This replaced my previous Nokia c1 phone & is great. I just needed a bit more memory so that’s why I changed. It works like my old one which I loved but is a bit bigger & has more memory. Would recommend.
Good build quality, easy to use, screen quality is good. Functions are fast responsive for a budget phone and looks decent too. Battery definitely lasts more than 40hrs with regular use.
yet to use it buy seems to tick all boxes for me.
Have had this phone for a week now and it’s been great. Battery life is fantastic – about 2 days with heavy use. Huge improvement from my previous Google Pixel 2! Clean version of Android which I like and a decent camera. I have had no flickering issues some other reviews mentioned. I think the finger sensor seems more consistent than my previous one on Pixel 2
A nice enough budget phone. Not the fastest etc but for the price really good. I like the phone.
I have given 5 stars for easy to use but buyers beware-There is nothing in the info about how to access the back button-I had to keep turning the phone off to go back-Luckily a lovely lady from the far east as put visual instructions on line showing how to deal with this issue-So the 5 stars is there because now all is ok and it should really go to the lady from the far east.ROCKIN ROY.
Pretty solid device for the price:
– Dual SIM & SD card slot;
– NFC;
– 3.5 mm jack;
– great battery (will degrade over time, but better to start great);
– Android 11 installed, should get up to at least android 13 and security updates up to March 2025;
– plain Android with barely any crap preinstalled (which in any case is possible to get rid of);
– fast enough for browsing, chatting, etc. which is my use case;
– ok camera: good for the price in daylight; not that great when dark;
– supports faster charging (usb-c slot) if you swap the original charger with a more powerful one. But I charge it overnight and not an issue for me.
All in all, recommended and you won’t be disappointed if you understand what you’re buying.
This is my second Nokia smartphone- I originally had a C01 Plus, which was physically smaller & lighter (5.5″ screen), but I soon decided I’d really like a slightly bigger (6.5″) screen, longer battery life, and more storage capacity. This is still a very slimline & compact phone, measuring just 76mm x 164mm x 8.5mm and weighing in at 190g. It’s a 4G phone which is absolutely fine for me. It’s not locked to any particular carrier, and can take 2 SIM cards (nano size), and a micro-SD card of up to 512GB. It runs Android 11. Charging & data transfer are via a C-type USB plug in agreement with the new EU standard. To transfer files to & from your PC, you need to go into the “Connected Devices” setting, & select “File Transfer” from the USB option. Alternatively, just remove the Micro-SD card, place it in an adaptor, & plug it directly into your PC. It’s compatible with a fast 18W charger, which shaves some time off the recharge time. The 5050 mAh battery is not removable.
The front camera is 8MP, while the back one is 50MP. Like all smartphones, it looks a bit like the Monolith in 2001, although the back is a nice dark blue colour (Nordic Blue). It does have some advanced features like a fingerprint reader, although I prefer to log into my phone using my PIN. Unlike my previous phone, this one IS compatible with my HSBC mobile banking app, and the Tesco banking app. It also has a built-in FM radio, and there’s space for about 25 icons on the first screen. I’m really happy with it, although I’m not really a smartphone guru- but for me, it’s more than adequate. I’d recommend this phone for anyone looking for a well-priced unit, of fairly high spec.
Recent problem: I’ve noticed recently that sometimes my new phone can get quite slow, or even freeze in the middle of using it. Sometimes it gets so slow that the only option seems to be to restart it. I’m not sure what the problem is- perhaps too many processor-hungry apps running in the background? Another problem I had was that it wouldn’t play some of my MPEG2 videos. I solved this by downloading VLC media player from the Play Store.
Lastly, the phone doesn’t come with a detailed instruction manual, but you can download a PDF instruction manual from nokia.com. Just search for nokia g21 instructions.
The phone’s fine! It’s Android that isn’t, it is counter intuitive, irritating pop-up ads smother the screen you’re on an you’re always wasting time trying to get back to where you’re meant to be.
It really aggravates and I’m not convinced that it does what I’m used to expecting from a mobile computer away from your desk-top. Bad move Nokia, your old phones were much more user friendly, shame you went down the Android route. I’m not happy. Patrick
Love the phone but bought an 18w charger to speed up charging… (Why, oh why doesn’t it ship with the faster charger ??? )
The battery life is amazing. It’s chunkier that my Nokia 8 but I love it so far.
Can’t wait for the Android 12 to be released for this phone.
Thoroughly recommend the phone due to its budget price.
I had the Nokia 5 and 5.1 before this that were both excellent phones, despite the occasional software glitch
And for the most part I have to say this is the same
A good, stylish, solid looking phone, with a decent (although not quite as good as advertised) battery life
There is the occasional software glitch, apps that may not open as another app is somehow blocking use even if no apps are open, but this doesn’t make it a bad phone, just a bit annoying at times
The interface takes a little getting used to, such as not having specific buttons for back or to open the list of open apps etc. I found this annoying at first and almost sent the phone back tbh, but stick with it and it actually feels intuitive after some time of using it
The camera is ok, not amazing quality but it’s a camera phone, what do you expect
All in all I really like this phone, it does everything I need it to and cost me little when compared to others on the market
If not for the slightly annoying software glitches i would have happily given It 5 stars
I like the price of telephone and it’s main positive is the long lasting battery and 2-3 years support from Nokia for security update. For person who do not do gaming but socialising a lot that is good mobile.
I have enjoyed using this phone over the past 4 weeks, I ended up trying this phone due to a previous Nokia model being damaged so I decided to stick with Nokia and upgrade to the newer version, this phone is very FAST, with previous phones I have not been able to switch between apps as quick. The battery is great, I think I have had to charge my phone to 100% about 7 times in a month as the battery lasts very long, even when I listen to music all day. Nokia has hit the nail on the head with this one, the camera quality is not as good as other phones but if you are looking for a phone with good connectivity, quick responses and long-lasting battery, this is the one for you!
Battery life in the advertisement is just for marketing that last 3 days, but for normal use without watching videos is lasting maximum 2 days.
My one has a bit of flickering in the screen sometimes. For that I wanted it to be the smartphone replaced, but Amazon customer service told me that I have to send it to the repair service, so, is too much hassle….
Thanks!
Yes The Nokia G21 is an amazing mobile phone, the best feature for me is the Battery life!!, 3 Days try a week & your nearer the mark!!, & the phone almost sets itself up, you just have to follow the onscreen questions & the phone does the rest, & even for disabled users like myself, the Nokia G21 is a doddle to use, plus you can set the home screen up with photos or pictures or colours to match your mood for the day or month, the choice is yours, in other words the Nokia G21 is very adaptable for all your needs, so if your looking for a mobile phone that is easy to use & has a battery that lasts ages, then give the Nokia G21 a try!!
