Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAcquired this item just after new years during a sale and when the product was much lower in value. The base model was 298 to 320, with the option of the ear buds bundle i acquired it for 347. Which for a mid range phone is absolute bang for value. But the phone is currently at 400+ which seems to be stretching it. at that point you may as well opt for a “Google Pixel 6A” which is ranked as the best value for a mid range phone.

But Enough of the value for quality and performance. Does it preform well…. Yes!

Bellow i will list everything great about the phone.

    – The Nord 2T sports a hefty quad core mediatek dimensity 1300 CPU, With an ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. You will always find the phone responsive in every circumstances, Offers above average performance when gaming however might have issues on certain open world games.

    – The Nord 2T Sports a brilliant 8GB of ram for a mid range phone with an option to expand memory capacity by an additional 2-3-5GB within the operation system itself. This converts 2-3-5GB from your internal storage capacity to be used as RAM for the phone to take advantage of. For those of you that are a serious hoarder of apps being on in the background. this is a dream feature for a mid range phone!

    – Fingerprint scanner allows you to save multiple fingerprints if you like unlocking your phone with different fingers.

    – SUPERCHARGING…. im not joking here when i say that this phone can charge dam quick which is great and concerning at the same time. For a battery perspective charging this quick is concerning as it will degrade the battery incredibly quickly. But on the other hand it means if you need the phone charged in a flash it will fully charge a dead phone from 0 to 100% in under 30mins. in order to preserve battery life if you do decide to acquire this phone i would recommend at every step to enable all charging features so as it does not degrade the battery as quickly.

    – Camera quality is top note. offers ultra wide photography as well as probably one of the best low light/night time video recording and photo taking processing. Doesn’t oversaturate it as much as you would think but proves that in low light conditions its brilliant.

My overall recommendation is if you can grab this bellow 360. its 100% one the money, anything more youre looking at compromising value for money which there is far greater options available bellow the current price point of the phone which is at 403, But this is just my advise. But at current value i dont see why it would be worth it considering the One Plus Nord 10t just launched and is sitting at 463, which provides far superior processing, and GPU capabilities ontop of a better battery and the same expandability with your RAM, Youre looking at an average 34% increase in performance for an additional 60

Bought on Black Friday, this is an excellent value-for-money choice. Quality of built is very good, feels very sturdy, comes with a rubber protective cover. Size is such that one can operate it with one hand (and I don’t have particularly large hands). Photo quality is great and the camera has many tools for photo editing. Very responsive screen, OS is delightfully fast (Android 12). It does not have an headphone port, so one needs to buy Bluetooth earbuds. It has a button on the right side to turn on vibration or silent mode, which is very helpful as you don’t need to use the settings menu. Charging from 10% to full in approximately 25-30 mins, which is tremendously convenient. Overall, a very good phone that provides everything the average user needs.

Bought on a Black Friday deal @259 !!! … what a bargain … replaced an aging Motorola G series phone. Absolutely EVERYTHING about the Nord is better … the screen, operating system, cameras, charging speeds, warranty and future proofing (multiple future Android/security updates) are all fantastic. No adverse comments at all … thoroughly RECOMMENDED.

Bought this to replace my oneplus 7t which was struggling to perform.

I was hesitant to buy another oneplus given the troubles I’d had with the previous, but the Nord 2T has just been absolutely fantastic.

For the price, I feel the performance it offers is unrivalled and could go head to head against flagships.

The screen is great and the high refresh rate is silky smooth. Performance is more than fast enough for daily activities. I’m not a phone gamer but assume it could more than keep up.

By far the best aspect is the 80W charging. This has completely revolutionised the way I charge my phone. Gone are the days of leaving to charge overnight and damaging batteries. This phone will go from 30% to 80% in about 15minutes which means I just need to stick it on charge when I go in the shower and it’ll have more than enough charge for a full day.

A top quality phone at an unbelievable price.

Very good phone for it’s price, I had Amazon Prime discount so paid a lot less than advertised. Good mod range phone, fast and the built quality is good. Fast charger, no issues at all.

The second OnePlus phone I’ve owned, and works as expected.
Very happy with my purchase, and will be buying another OnePlus when this one reaches the end of its life.

Oneplus Nord 2T – Bought this on Black Friday for 260. Couldn’t believe the price. This is a fantastic piece of kit. I bought to replace my ancient LG G6. I suppose a drown 2006 blackberry would be better than that, but this phone really did Suprise me. It should have been 350. If you missed the sale then don’t, worry. It’s still worth it at 100 more. I bet you wish you hit that Buy Button now don’t you.

In my opinion, these oneplus phones are the best of Android. I have owned all the top Samsung phones and still use iphone 14 pro max. The fingerprint reader and face unlock is blazing fast on this 2T. And never had a stutter or a freeze. Do not hesitate to get this mobile. Clean and fast. Very happy with this purchase.

Really pleased with the phone, loads of features, very fast response. I have owned two IPhone’s. Huawei P20 pro, Motorola and various others and this is the best so far. I will never go back to big name brands again.

Nice little phone for the black Friday price. Wouldn’t pay full price for it. No mem card slot but can upload using usb storage. No macra camera which ud expect. Over all quite impressed. Compared to my p30 pro that I’ve had 3 yrs, I’m happy with it as a 2nd phone. What I’ve used of the camera I’m really impressed with the quality of the 10x zoom. Nice and crisp image. Yet to use it outside but all looks good using it at home. Finger print reader seems OK even with my dry cracked hands, face regognition is OK, bit annoying that u have to scroll screen up to unlock. Doesn’t just open when I look at it like my Huawei. But does prevent it unlocking every time a car comes towards me at night when my phones in its holder. If ur looking for a nice phone that does pretty much anything I’d deffo buy it at the reduced price

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis seems to be a great value phone compared to flagship phones and offer 95% of the experience for a third of the cost. The phone itself feels expensive, works fast and the fast charging is amazing (goes from 2% to full in about 30mins).

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI’ve had the phone a few days now and here are my first impressions.

As a videographer and occasional photographer I value certain things in my phone and whilst this handset is by no means the creme de la creme of smartphones but I think it deserves a lot of praise for what it does well.

These days I’m not able to afford the flagships with their top end camera systems, but this is one of those handsets that makes you ask if you really need to anymore.

The last “flagship I used was the Huawei P20 Pro. In fact I’m going to be mentally comparing quality of that handset to the main camera here in the Nord 2T. The other 2 lenses are poor and there to make up numbers, but a few years ago even our flagships packed one good camera and we were mostly happy.

Today it’s surprising how good phones are at capturing sharp video and images. The lightness of this handset is appreciated and there are times when it’s simply not convenient to use a dedicated camcorder or my old DSLR (I’m yet to justify the jump to a superior mirrorless system).

Comparing my old P20 Pro, a phone lauded for it’s cameras in 2018, I have to say I’m really impressed. Autofocus on the Nord 2T is sharp, fast and accurate, the p20 would seratch for focus as soon as there was lots of movement in the frame when videoing, resulting in lots of out of focus, unuseable footage. Details are good and low light performance seems bettrr in my limited testing. Yes, there are better cameras, but for the price, this is a great little handset.

I’d personally like more controls, the ability to disable OIS when my phone is mounted on my gimbal, but this phone shoots way better video than my older P20 Pro, a weakness of that handset.

Still Images seem sharp, maybe overshsrpened, detailed but over processed as is the norm for Chinese phones who seem to prefer images that pop over those more natural. I quite like the look though. Low light performance of the main 50MP camera is strong for the price and better than my older handset. At 50MP, a 2x digital zoom (crop) is still a decent image and surprisingly usable . I don’t zoom my images normally, preferring to crop in post, but I’d have no qualms here shooting at 2x for online use as images are detailed and sharp.

The pnone itself is really nice to use. Yes, I’d prefer a more stock android as certain changes the OxygenOS 12 has made are not as good as the original Google implementation. Settings menus especially are overcomplicated and certain elements of the Material You design language does appear lost in this and every other Chinese translation I’ve seen.

That said, I’m used to Chinese UIs by now and they tend to add lots, even if the first thing I do is put either Nova or Lawnchair launcher on them for a more stock skin. What I don’t like is the default to the iPhone style home screens. We Android users like our app drawer, we don’t want the chaos of multiple homescreens of randomly placed icons greeting us after a backup from our accounts onto our new handset. It takes time to clean up this mess but once done, this, is as simple to use as any other in day to day usage.

The interface is snappy, the battery simply good, not amazing. It’ll easily last most users a full 24 hours and when it doesn’t, charging on the boxed 80w charger is simply lightning. 0% to full in about 30 mins. It doesn’t get too hot, I’ve had no real hiccups in my first few days with it. The odd stutter but generally, apps load quicklyand everything seems as fast as any top end phone I remember using.

The handset design is a mixed bag
There is something a little disconcerting about the cross eyed, off centre camera alignment, the design itself possible works, though the camera bump is pretty massive and you certainly can’t lay this thing at all flat until you put it in the supplied case and even then it isn’t flat, but I like aspects of the design. The shadow grey frosted glass back may not pick up fingerprints, but it’s a slippery and whilst feeling quality I don’t think I’ll be pulling this out to look at it as I did with the P20 Pro or even my old Oppo Find x2 Neo I used as my daily handset until recently. It’s not the most attractive handset I’ve owned in all honesty but I bought this for function over form and it feels sturdy and premium, works well and was a great price.

The biggest area where I am not impressed is the quality of the built in stereo speakers. With bluetooth 5.2 and aptX I’m unlikely to have to worry too much but I was disappointed in all honesty as these were a step back not only on the previous Huawei Handsets I’d owned (Mate 9 was brilliant), but worse than the Find X2 Neo which I loved (except for it’s mediocre camera performance).. If you need to use them they are there, but they’re pretty terrible, bassless and prone to distort at high volumes when playing music. Watching streaming services they sounded better, but they’re lacklustre at best and when pushed sound exactly like the cost cutting, cheaply made speakers they are.

Brightness of the screen is the only other criticism. I’m yet to use it on a bright sunny day, but outdoors it’s not the brightest. I do hope I don’t regret this when filming my partners American football practices on sunny days but it’s just not very bright. Everything else, indoors I’m happy with the HDR 10+ screen. It’s everything you expect from an AMOLED screen and the 90Hz makes the android experience smoother, I just wish it got brighter outdoors.

To conclude, the Oneplus Nord 2T is a good handset for the money. Its not going to win prizes in a beauty contest and isn’t flawless but you can’t expect flawless in the midrange. It’s got a good main camera (I didn’t review the other 2 lenses as they are pretty pointless) and everything else is as good as it should be with the odd niggle, but overall this handset is a rapid little performer than makes using it a breeze and a pleasure.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had this phone now for about 4 months and have to say I’m extremely impressed. Having come over from iPhones as I wasn’t willing to pay the price they are demanding anymore I thought I’d look around to see what was in the sub 400 market. My criteria was that it had to have a decent battery life and offer 5G. Oneplus did this as well as having a decent screen size, dual SIM and Imimportantly a good camera. I can say that I’m not disappointed with battery life and it lasts a solid day with heavy usage – I use two Sims in it, one for personal and one for work and the phone is in my hand pretty much all day long. The build quality is great and finish is as good as any other phone in this price range. The software is easy to navigate and I’m not had any problems with the phone freezing, rebooting or having calls drop out as others have mentioned. The camera does the job but is in no way comparable to cameras on premium models available from Apple or Samsung.
Having purchased the phone on offer through Amazon, I had no problems in obtaining the free oneplus buds so struggle to understand why so many other people have had issues with this.

The oneplus Nord 2T 5G has been my first venture into oneplus products and all I can say is overall I’m extremely impressed with the build quality and functionality offered. The oneplus buds are equally as good as the Apple pro buds that I previously had and I’ve actually gone on to now purchase the oneplus watch which, once again I’m extremely impressed with and cannot see anything else in its price range that goes close to magic it seriously long battery life and excellent build quality. All I can say is at this time it’s going to take a lot tempt me to try another brand.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this phone through a friend’s Amazon account as he had prime and was on a deal .
I have always been a die hard Samsung fan and after owning there phones for the last 15 years with no issues…. upto owning the Zflip 3 which occured 2 faults in the 11 months of ownership and after trying to get a repair through there customer service and fobbed off with everything they could throw at me to avoid sorting under warranty I have vowed I would never buy another of there products.
After a bit of research I decided to purchase this phone, spec wise you won’t find anything else under 400 that comes anywhere close (I paid 279) I see a few comments about there not being a 120hrz screen which in fairness for the price you shouldn’t be expecting. Does that make a massive difference on a mobile phone….nope 90hrz is absolutely fine and this has played every game I have thrown at it with no issues or bugs whatsoever with nice smooth screenplay.
It’s very quick and screen feedback is brilliant I would say par with the last 2 mobiles I have had which cost more than double this model.
Charging time is insane! There is nothing like it this phone literally charges up from flat in around 25ish minutes which is great plus the battery lasts all day too.
I’ll definitely be sticking to the OnePlus phones for the time being and may even go for one of there flagship models next year.
Would highly recommend if your looking for a mid range phone at a cracking price.

Fantastic phone full stop. I’m not a photographer but it takes nice photos
Battery lasts for ages a lot longer than my s 21
I wasn’t keen on the gesture controls so I opted in the settings for buttons at the bottom of the screen. It works great that’s all I can say and it charges fast.
Id recommend this phone to anyone

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this phone for my dad, who is terrible with modern technology. But I know Oneplus, as they’ve been my phone provider for 5+ years now. So knew he would be fine with it.

Oneplus in my experience are a great phone maker. Their hardware and software in my experience at least for their prices have been fantastic. Myself and my wife have had a Oneplus 5, 5T and a 7T each. The 5T is still going strong also, in the hands of my sister-in-law. With that said I was more than confident in getting this device for my dad.

It’s well made, has OK cameras, a great battery and is easy to get used to and use. Even for 70-year-olds lol

I feel the price is very competitive also. For the hardware you get and the continued software support Oneplus offer, you can’t really go wrong with their devices. Their cheaper models are now on a par with the 7T, so their next Nord release I will be upgrading myself and wife to that device. As it will likely be far superior to the 7T and at such a great price point, that you can easily justify spending.

Everyone’s experience is different of course. But for the now 5 Oneplus phones I’ve had to deal with, my experience has been great all in all. I happily recommend Oneplus phones to anyone that isn’t a crApple fan boy and would like an android phone that won’t cost them the earth and can personalise until their heart is content.
