I bought this for winter hammock camp and combined it with the onetigris underquilt. The zipped top layer made so much difference in helping me stay insulated at -5.
The built in ridge line made setting up very simple allowing Me to attach the top sheet and keep it off me. The tree straps are far superior to all my previous ones with plenty of loops making set up faster and more accurate. Overall I am really pleased and would recommend.
I read reviews and watched videos about this product. I was pleasantly surprised to find the tree straps had more hitch loops than I expected. This makes setting it up a little more flexible.
Easy to put up and take down kept me comfy all night.
Great hammock for the money, a friend also has one and they are slightly different in length to one another hence the 4 star review but very happy with it and has some great features
proven very good. although there is no zipper on both sides for the mosquito ne
I can’t fault the price or quality of the hammock. Onetigris hasn’t cut corners in their product, clean lines, ykk zippers, internal ridge line. The internal cover is a nice bonus, particularly on damp/dewey mornings, preventing your sleeping bag or blanket from getting wet or damp. The Mosquito netting mesh is small enough to keep even midges out, a problem a friend of mine had with his Covacure hammock. The tree straps have 20 daisy chains, more then enough to get a good hang between trees. The only fault, I can find is that I have a hard time getting diagonal when attempting to sleep, particularly with the internal cover in use and zipped up, it seems to limit you and mold you into the banana position which after awhile can become uncomfortable. I compensate for this by bending one leg or bringing a extra pillow along to go under my calfs to prevent calf ridge. Over all impressed and a quality product!!
First off, I have several other hammocks from DD and snugpak, which are all good value and up to the job. I’ve used them all in various conditions so I’ve got something to compare this one against. It’s a well made and particularly well designed hammock for UK conditions and so far I’m impressed. The adjustable ridgeline is a feature you don’t find on similarly priced hammocks. You can make your own but I’m impressed that this one is included, fitted and is really well designed. The internal cover is similarly well thought out, more importantly it works as it traps an extra layer of air when pulled all the way out and cuts down on wind chill. Be clear, it does not replace a sleeping bag/ top quilt and you’ll still need an under quilt if you are to remain warm underneath. Most first time hammockers think they can get away without one or improvise something, don’t bother, buy an under quilt. So if considering this either as a first time hammock or a cool weather upgrade, I’d have no hesitation in recommending. It’s great value. Do yourself a favour and buy the under quilt too.
I’ve been into hammock camping for a while now and I’ve spent a bit of money on a few hammocks from amazon when I should have just got the onetigris kompound camping hammock with mosquito net from the start it’s quality for the price is amazing and so comfy I’ve an 11ft hammock also but with the onetigris being 8ft I thought I’d see a big difference but you don’t at all the ridge line the inner cover all brilliant and it works especially well when you put with it the onetigris 3 season underquilt which I got a while ago I’m thinking of getting the onetigris tarp now so that I’ve got the full set what a brand and thank you
Amazing bit of kit – lightweight, durable, great value, and VERY comfortable. I’m 6’1 and 115kg – I was dubious as to whether it would take my weight tbh – but no issues at all. SUPERB and highly recommended.
Out of the 4 hammocks I own this one is by far the most useful. The ridge line and the extra cover are excellent and I’ve had good use out of them. Plenty of loops on the straps for adjustments and an all round super comfy nights sleep
Brought this hammock with the recommendation bundle for a good deal and I have to say I’m very happy. I took it out to my Local woods in early December together with the onetigris under quilt and the lowest it got down to that night was -2c and the only time I was a little cold was the first 20 to 30 minutes after first getting in which is to be expected to build up the hot air trapped above and under you in the under quilt. The built in wind shield was brilliant and helped create another firm of keeping warm air in and the straps are a respectable size as you can see from the picture the tress I use are not that skinny and I still had more than enough if there was only wide trees. Very good seams and yy zippers never snagged 10/10
With the many features this hammock has as standard it is a top one to recommend, whether a beginner or experienced it covers all the bases, from the width adjustment, sag adjustment, the fact it comes with tree huggers as standard (no need to pay out extra for them or the karabiners), the built in mosquito net and the handy heat baffle, which while is thin works exceedingly well, the stitching is tidy and tight and the materials are strong and durable.
In all, if you want to start using a hammock for your trips, you can not go wrong.
Was very happy with this product, I bought it along with the underquilt and it will defo hold up as winter set up
Got to use this last night, was great, slept comfortable.
Bit awkward to get in and out off first couple of times but easy once you get used to it.
Would highly recommend it, it’s now my go-to hammock and looking forward to many adventures in i
This product is brilliant for what you pay with many essential features, well worth the purchase. I do feel the quality could somewhat be better though as mine did break on the 1st use but after some careful and tedious time spent fixing this hammock I’m hopeful it will last.
Easy to put up, prefer my own adjustable straps as the ones supplied are bulky. Purchased the underblanket at same time and a good pairing…(may have done incorrectly but couldn’t use both side guys and blanket as pulled it down).
The built in cover kept light rain off.
Purchased in prime day…with reduction, couldn’t complain.
I went from dd hammock to this 1trigris hammock and what a step up it was, what you get for your money is spot on , its comfortable and you get so much. I would definitely recommend
Been thinking about getting a hammock for a while and was recommended the OneTigris Kompound hammock. It’s a great hammock for the price and packed with features.
Delivered in 24 hrs and had it out the next day for a trial run. Can’t wait to try a few wild camps with it.
Excellent design very comfortable. With a DD tarp your all se
Very easy to setup, the inner cover increases the inner temperature and the ridge line and storage bag organiser work great and very good price. Highly recommended.
Well put together and great value, lots of added extras, well worth the money.
I should have bought this in the first place, but starting out with a new hobby I didn’t want to dump a load of money into loads of gear and have the chance of not using them again.
This was the 3rd hammock I’d purchased, with the money I’d spent on the previous two combined, I could have purchased another of these.
It came with tree straps rather than rope and 2 carabiners, so your pretty much ready to go out the box.
The adjustment these straps offer is brilliant, 14 different loops on each strap.
The hammock is fantastic, the adjustable ridge line is a neat idea I’m yet to find on another setup. This is great as you can set the ideal sag for yourself.
Elasticated side ropes can open the hammock up to stop that closed in almost claustrophobic feeling you can get and being elasticated, they also dampen the rocking motion hammocks are prone to, minimising motion sickness some people may feel.
When your in the hammock another neat feature is the ‘hot pocket’. Basically a zipable layer that closes off the top of the hammock to the elements, great for keeping that blanket on you in the night and stopping a layer of frost forming on your sleeping bag from condensation.
Pair this with a good Tarp and Under quilt and your set for a really good night camping.
Brilliant little hammock with some lovely interesting features such as the internal cover. Really happy with this hammock. At the price, I hope it gets more people out hammock camping.
I was tempted to give 4 stars only because of the daisy chains ,,but it would be unfair as the hammock it’s self seems well built I’m 6ft and a bit ,17 stone and feel comfortable ,I’ve slept in a hammock everyday for a year and a half nearly,,, my story, But the point been I know I’ll get a great sleep and just by the look and feel of this hammock I’ll be happy and it’ll serve me through winter ,,the only gripes I have is where the ridge line comes through if I was in a country with mosquito they would definitely find a way in ,,but I’ll try a couple of peg/grips to rectify this over site ,.. the carabineers are fantastic, zips great ,hammock great material soft yet feels very strong , ,,the bug net is very thick definitely not cheap like others ,.the built in over blanket is a must in my honest opinion if winter camping as if u can’t afford an over blanket this would aid in warmth immensely ,, placed with a full length under blanket u should be all set ,, I’m useing this through winter in the uk so I’ll update as the winter ends to see if it’s done what I believe it can ,, my other hammock was an etrol bat hammock which I’ve enjoyed and will still enjoy,, but the one tigress compound has what I need for winter is this built in over blanket ,,it’s a very great price guys ,what u get for the money is worth it imo ,it’s an all-round just chill hammock a fantastic first hammock a great new addition to your collection hammock ,, but I know why they switched the chains because of weight ,, my dd jungle hammock came with very similar ones, they work they’re strong but not fit for purpose, when u need to not wonder around finding trees tht are a suitable distance apart tht is .also I don’t recommend dd jungle hammocks at all it failed me and is way way way overpriced ,,get this compound one and some new daisy chains which amazon has plenty peace
Brilliant nights kip. Cleverly thought out design. Found my new favourite brand.
Really pleased with the Onetigris Kompound hammock. Looks great and easy to set up. Highly recommend this hammock to anyone looking for a top quality hammock at a great price
