Bought these for my children for Christmas and I was very surprised in how much they loved them.
Would recommend them simple for the fact the they change colour to red when brushing too hard.
This is the best toothbrush I have ever used my teeth feel really clean after use and it’s very quick. I think that it will be a benefit to my dental health

This is a great toothbrush and is much better than the old once. The app is great and I find it useful and follow it.
The battery life is poor compared to the old brushes and probably only lasts around 5-6 brush cycles so around 2.5 to 3 days at max!
I am surprised the battery doesn’t last longer as this is supposed to a new toothbrush!

At first I thought it was very stupid to bring out a toothbrush that had Bluetooth, just another gimmick.
I was wrong, very wrong.
What this toothbrush does is show you exactly what part of your teeth you are brushing and what parts of your teeth you missed via the App.
Really good toothbrush, I had the basic 30 oral b one and I can really tell the difference, this one is a lot more powerful, the head is smaller so easier to brush the back teeth properly. The light indicator is quite helpful and in general my teeth feel cleaner after brushing.
Although i love the fact you can use an app to see what area you brush your teeth, the battery doesn’t last as long as i wanted it to (7 days life)
but at least i can see how much battery life is left (but have to make sure the power is off when charging even when its flat)
To also have different modes to brush your teeth is also good for sensitive teeth
This Oral B toothbrush has been a game changer. It has truly changed the whole process of my teeth brushing regime. The toothbrush has a very sleek design. It’s light to hold and is gentle on the teeth. The Bluetooth app is very helpful. It tailors to all types of your teeth needs Which has helped with my bleeding gums. The battery life is very long lasting which makes it the ideal toothbrush for travelling plus the travel case that comes with it is a bonus. I would highly recommend this tooth brush to my family and friends. Its a very good investment.
The Oral-B iO5 toothbrush is an excellent product. My first use was really user-friendly and needed not much to get started. After one weeks use, I felt like my teeth have a much better clean than a normal toothbrush. The battery life was better than I expected and lasted several days. Other aspects of the toothbrush that I enjoyed was the variety of the different modes that can be used and the LED interface. Especially, being able to customise the sensor colours. I would recommend this product.
It arrives with a charger, travel case, brush head holder and 1 brush head. The design of the toothbrush is really smart and sleek. But it’s not just style over substance, the toothbrush really feels incredibly modern in comparison to my previous model: it’s very quiet to use, and without sounding too clichd, I do feel like I’ve gone to the dentist and received a deep clean but without that sensitive feeling; it’s still very gentle. The small brush head feels like it cleans my teeth so well. It’s also very user friendly too. I initially thought the different modes would be a faff to navigate, but I have been enjoying using the different settings depending on what I require that particular day.
My only wish would be that you could recharge it via USB or alternative. The battery does last for approximately 10 days, but if I went on a 2 week holiday, I would feel the need to bring the charger along.
It doesn’t feel like a repackaged updated toothbrush, this really feels like a high tech revolutionary product, the AI brushing tracker has taught me where I’ve missed cleaning, which I found really useful and wasn’t something I’d realised until I started using the brush.
I’ve been using an Oral B electric toothbrush for a very long time and was desperate for a new one, I kept putting it off due to the cost as I wanted to invest in the IO5 . WOW what an upgrade I now wish I hadn’t wait so long. Who would have known you would need so much technology to clean your teeth. After installing the App and setting up which was very user friendly, I was amazed to see that all this time I have been brushing my teeth far too hard the light indictor on the brush is brilliant. Monitoring your usage on the app is a great help too. My Teeth & Gums are feelings so much better. The brush is simple to use, and the battery life is excellent, the travel case is going to come in very useful too. I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone looking to upgrade, it’s well worth the investment.
Going from using mainly a manual toothbrush to the i05 has been a game changer for my teeth. After the first use, I could instantly feel the difference in the clean and smoothness. Now, having used it for over 2 weeks my teeth are healthier, noticeably whiter and feel fresher after each brush. The light up pressure sensor has shown me I have been brushing too hard and this has now helped my brushing been painless. The Bluetooth tracking is a great feature as is the personalized coaching. It helps take your brushing to the next level. I highly recommend this brush, in the long term it’ll pay back due to fewer dental problems.
I was looking for an electric toothbrush and was keen to go with a known quality brand and Oral-B was top of the list. The attractive series 5 packaging and great features mentioned on the box got me interested. And i was very pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and facilities offered by this toothbrush. The bluetooth connectivity offers a great feedback to get the best out of your toothbrush based on your usage. great product and highly recommended.
Having always used an electric toothbrush I really needed a new one as my other one was getting old and then I came across this wow wow is all I am going to see absolutely brilliant! My teeth have never felt so clean! Instantly my first impression was wow was so impressed with how compact it came the case is perfect sized! Loved the different sensors and extremely easy to use explanation is perfect as well shows you everything on the box without having to read etc! Love that you can change the pressure and sensors! All modes are very clear and love the led light function it tells you when you need to change your head just honestly so impressed! Battery life is brilliant as well I use twice a day sometimes 3 and only just charging now after a week and 3 days of having it!

I chose the black as I thought it looked quite sleek and stylish.
Although I’ve only been using the brush for a week, I’m really impressed with how much whiter my teeth look. They also feel really smooth, like I’ve just had a scale and polish!
It’s quite pricey, but in my opinion the results are worth it. Especially if it saves trips to the hygienist, which are like good dust where I live.
I don’t see the point of the Bluetooth aspect, but each to their own! I’ve removed a star as I find it incredibly frustrating for products sold in the UK to only have a 2 pin plug.
Initially the price put me off but given the smart benefits and modes I bit the bullet and decided to give it a try.
When it arrived, I found it was really easy to use and to switch between the different modes. I also liked the travel case that it comes with to keep it clean and safe in my wash bag.
I used it straight away and found the pressure indicator was constantly showing red meaning I was being too harsh with my brushing. The next time I used it, I made more attention on the pressure indicator and kept it green 98% of the time. I was skeptical because I felt as though I was barely touching my teeth with the brush head but to my surprise, my teeth felt the cleanest they have ever felt at home with very little effort! I usually experience bleeding gums after using my previous toothbrush but with the iO5 I have not had this issue at all in the three weeks that I have been using it.
My teeth and gums are already looking and feeling much healthier just from changing to the iO5 and my sensitivity is very much reduced.
Would I buy it again or recommend it to anyone? The answer is a definite YES. Everyone always says, why pay so much for a toothbrush, the all do the same job. Before trying this product I would have said the same but right now I have to disagree and say it is worth every penny!
I bought the base model, so in the box I have a nice little travel case, a single head, a charger and a head hygiene case (not used or needed yet).
Functions across the 5 you can feel a difference in intensity. I’d say sensitive and super sensitive are very similar. You can feel the step up from these to the rest.
Pressure indicator, the reason I bought this, it’s been really useful and considering how long I’ve been brushing my teeth I should be better at it. The dentist and the brush agree I’m pushing far too hard. I didn’t have anything to gauge it before, but at least this let’s me know.
The Bluetooth function is pretty good. Being able to change the timer and review the spread round my teeth. I think I’ll grow bored on this as I have it longer and start to get into a rhythm, but it’s a good novelty at the moment.
A small negative of this brush is the poor battery life. I’ve still given 5* as I believe it’ll have a lot to do with how often I’m using the app and swapping between Intense and Whitening, the two power functions.
I got this on a Prime Day Deal, so it was pretty decently priced. Just hoping the heads last longer than advertised, as they are a little pricey, might be worth it in the long run if the Whitening feature works.
This is my first electric toothbrush and I’m amazed by it! The oral b app that connects to the toothbrush allow me to guide myself to brush my teeth correctly and notify me when I brush too hard which it will turn into red colour on the toothbrush.There is also a few settings where I can pick the gentle mode which suit me the most. The battery life is good, I’ve only charged once but it lasts me for 7-9 days. The travel kit is also very convenient to carry around. I am recommending this product to my family and friends.
I feel that this toothbrush looks incredibly stylish and is definitely living up to its expectations. I find it very easy to use and very easy to charge. The display is really clear and it is really easy to select different modes. My favourite thing is the pressure sensor around the ring of the next which is very visible and is so helpful in informing me if I am applying too much pressure. I find a lot of its features really useful such as the vibration for each quadrant, the charging indicator and also the brush head replacement indicator. I am also pleased to see that the replacement brush heads are not too expensive. I would definitely recommend this toothbrush.
Honestly, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say this toothbrush has changed my life – it really has helped me. I have depression and ADHD and have always struggled remembering and motivating myself to brush my teeth, and then not remembering if I’d done them or not, before overcompensating with rough brushing, irritating my gums. The pressure guide helps stop my gums bleeding and the Bluetooth/app functionality keeps a record of my brushing so I know when I’ve done it or not AND I can hold myself accountable.
It’s well worth the investment – I can feel the difference in how well it cleans too. There’s no plaque left on my teeth! I couldn’t recommend this toothbrush more!
Switching from using a manual brush I wanted a quality electric toothbrush where I’d really be able to feel the difference. The Oral B iO5 has exceeded my expectations, with variable brushing modes and coloured lights to indicate whether your applied pressure is correct. I found the sensitive setting best for my front teeth, and after a week’s use they are feeling cleaner than ever. The battery life is good, almost a week, and in the last few days I have downloaded the Oral B app and paired the brush with my phone, a simple process to unlock even more functionality like brushing coaching, fantastic!
This is a great toothbrush and much better and quieter then my last electric oral b.
The pressure sensor is great, as is the 5 different cleaning settings.
The battery life has lasted just over a week which is more than I can ask for!
This is easy to use and I can feel a difference in my teeth after just a week.
I did have trouble connecting the toothbrush to my Bluetooth but I think that was down to me not being great with technology and I got it working after a couple of goes. Definitely worth an investment into this toothbrush!
(I am yet to need to buy the replacement heads but I always feel liek they are worth spending the extra on)
I’m not normally a fan of Oral B products but thought I would give this one a try. The technology is crazy that you can connect via an app on your phone and track where you are cleaning and if the pressure is too hard or soft. However, once you’ve done this once I never went back to the app. You also get a green light if your pressure is correct and the lights are also customisable in the app. The one thing I didn’t like was that the neck of the toothbrush is quite thick and it took a while to get used to. It’s a lot quieter than the previous Oral B toothbrush’s I’ve had and after a week of use I haven’t had to charge it yet.
I have been using this toothbrush for a week or two now and It is a pleasure to use. Having not had an electric toothbrush for a good few years now I can’t believe how I left it so long! I love the various features, particularly the colour changing head which lets you know how hard/soft you are brushing.
I have linked the toothbrush to the app on my phone and have been using this whilst cleaning my teeth everyday and can see how much more thoroughly I am cleaning my teeth now.
I have taken one star off as it quite pricy at full price and it does only came with one head but all in all if you can pick this up on a special offer price you won’t be disappointed.
I never thought I’d get excited about cleaning my teeth, but the app showing where I’ve cleaned and how well I’ve cleaned is slightly addictive. I have yet to get 100% clean score in under 2 minutes 20 seconds.
The app is great as it highlights areas you have missed or not brushed as throughly. My teeth have never felt so clean.
The Oral B IO5 electric toothbrush is a great upgrade to my previous Oral B electric toothbrush. It is simple to use and I found it easy to connect to the app on my phone. The battery life is great and you can keep an eye on the battery life via the app. I love being able to monitor my brushing as it shows where I am brushing well and which areas I need to concentrate on more. There are different brushing settings so you can adjust the brushing to meet your needs and you can even set up a reminder for when your toothbrush head needs replacing. I would definitely recommend this toothbrush to anyone looking to upgrade their current toothbrush.
What a great little surprise this was! Ordered and arrived super quickly. I loved the sleek classic design and it feels nice to hold. The ability to link with an app that tracks your brushing technique is a great tool. Battery life is holding up well and bonus that is came charged and ready to used. Will be buying these as gifts for family!
I was eager to try this product as an upgrade from my old Oral B toothbrush. From opening the packaging I could tell this was a premium product, love the fact that you get a holder for spare brush heads and a carry case for travelling,
The many features of the brush make it suitable for all, personally I love the sensitivity function.
I’ve been using electric toothbrushes for years. This upgrade is the biggest change I have seen so far. The quality of the clean is fantastic. 2min is like 5 with my old brush. Also the Bluetooth with the app works well and is now a real feature that I use a few times a week. If you need a new toothbrush upgrade to an IO model it is worth the extra money
Really pleased with the toothbrush. It cleans more effectively than my old electric brush which was noticeable after just one use. Operates at a higher frequency. I like the option of the app to check you are brushing all areas thoroughly and the different settings for whitening/sensitivity etc.
I’ve been using it for a week I’ve not had to charge it yet so that’s better too.
If you want to get the best I’d definitely recommend it.

The Oral-B io series 5 is lightweight, it is really easy to use. It comes with a smart pressure sensor – the light is green if you are using it correctly. The light will turn red if too much pressure is applied and white if not enough pressure is being applied. There are 5 brushing modes, daily clean, intense, sensitive, super sensitive and whiten. After brushing my teeth with this, they feel incredibly clean. I have been using this for over a week now and I have charged it once when it came. There is still a lot of battery left. I would recommend this toothbrush, your teeth feel and look really clean after using.
I am really happy with the product received. It arrived quickly, even before the stated delivery time. I chose the toothbrush in black, to match my bathroom design. I love this colour. It came charged, so I could start using it straight away. At first I thought that the bristles were maybe a little to hard , but as the week went on, It did not hurt anymore. I have been watching the smart pressure sensor, to make sure that I am putting enough pressure on my teeth and gums. I have to say that after only a week of using, my teeth feel much cleaner and my gums are not sore anymore. I like the Bluetooth connection allowing to connect to the app, I am yet to do that. WOW!! must say super clean teeth after first use and after 7days healthy looking gums. I was using a manual toothbrush before this purchase, I found the micro fine bristles so much better cleaning power squeaky clean.
Great to have an app on my phone linked via Bluetooth to the toothbrush giving guidance across 6 different brushing zones very helpful and pressure senor so to help me not to damage my gums. I now understand my cleaning routine better now.

Would recommend this, but pricey
Out of the box, I was very impressed with the build quality and general presentation.
On first use, my initial impression was that it wasn’t cleaning so thoroughly (perhaps because this one vibrates whereas others I’ve used had a spinning motion at the head), due to this I turned the setting up to the max speed. How wrong I was! It left my teeth feeling like I’d just had a scale and polish. Since that first use I’ve gradually reduced the intensity, as I’ve found even the sensitive modes provide a thorough clean. Although I’ve only had it for around a week and haven’t changed my routine in any other way, both myself and my partner have noticed my teeth are looking noticeably whiter. For that, I can’t recommend it enough.
The next most important thing for me with electric toothbrushes, is battery life. So far so good, is my honest take on that, as it arrived charged and I haven’t had to plug it in yet!
I needed an upgrade and decided on the iO5. When it arrived I unboxed it and was unsure I had made the right choice. With so many smart modes I was slightly overwhelmed. Once I read the book and downloaded the app it was time to test the brush. This brush is fantastic and the app is an absolute game changer, it comes with coaching through the app if you wish to use it and guides you with the correct modes for the perfect clean. I have been using this product for a week and notice a big difference in how clean my teeth are after brushing and all gum bleeding has stopped. The battery is holding strong. I would highly recommend this brush to everyone.
I bought this product as an upgrade to my Oral B Genius 9000 series that I’d purchased around 4 years ago. Overall it is a very good product and cleans my teeth very well. The brush feels well made and the vibrating motion feels as good as the oscillating motion in my previous toothbrush. I find that the app works really well generally, although I found myself not using it after the first few days. This can be fixed by making sure that the Bluetooth works slightly better in the background mode (I.E when the app isn’t running). Positives include a good brushing “feel”, excellent build quality and a great app. Some downsides are that the brush head can have some toothpaste stuck on the inner part which you have to clean every time when you take it out (this can be slightly annoying if you’re travelling a lot). The second negative is that while the case is functional, it is plastic and it feels really flimsy and a downgrade to my older toothbrush.
I clicked the io5 into my ‘Buy it Now’ and eagerly waited its delivery.
It came quickly, I was expecting just a small box so I was delighted to see the slick packaging full of everything I’d need to get my io5 going. Complete with charging cable, the brush, the brush head, instructions, travel case and brush case. I was impressed to see the travel cases as it’s something I definitely need! I love the fact that I can pack my io5 hygienically up in seconds and get going without having to buy any additional accessories!
As I unboxed the main brush, I knew instantly that this was an elite model. The smooth, suaveness of it made it feel very premier and unlike anything I’ve seen before. The digital display is a great addition too. I clicked on my brush head and instantly gave my new toothbrush a go!
It took me a couple of seconds to realise how the Bluetooth works for the brush but I quickly paired my brush to my phone with the help of the easy instructions and a world that I didn’t know existed opened up in tiny app form. The oral B app is amazing, it allows me to track my duration of clean but, more importantly, how well I’ve cleaned each section of my mouth. I love how it breaks each area of my mouth into sections and makes it much more manageable!
I scrolled through the different settings and found my favourite, it’s amazing how you can completely tailor the brush to your needs with 5 different programmes to choose from!
As I began to use my new brush, I really enjoyed the way that I could track my progress on my phone to ensure a really good clean, my teeth felt immaculate after! There’s so many different journeys for your teeth health you can access via the app too, they’re so personalised and easy to follow at the click of a button.
Although the higher end of the market, this brush is such a great purchase, worth the price and an utter game changer! Even my pre teen will use this, with a fresh head of course, and not make a fuss over brushing his teeth! I am definitely converted and won’t ever go back!
I have been using this toothbrush now for over a week.
My first impressions were sleek black packaging, which comes with a travel case, charger, and head. A sturdily designed toothbrush that feels good quality.
This toothbrush has some very cool features when you connect it to the app available on Android and Apple it can you are brushing your teeth. I am you can track your brushing and pressure and my teeth feel cleaner after only a week.
The app was user-friendly I have never had the toothbrush not connect to the app immediately and no dropouts like other products.
I will not be going back to the traditional manual.
So far I have only charged once so battery life is good. Used as mentioned for a week brushing 2 times a day. Total usage 4 and a half minutes of brushing a day. Still going strong.
The only downside to this product is the price. Although the base product is very good quality the carry case is very thin plastic and the toothbrush doesn’t come with an additional head which I would have expected for the higher price.
If you want an intuitive, clever toothbrushing system that will most importantly leave your teeth feeling cleaner and money is no object then this product is for you.
Not only does it only thankfully vibrate at the toothbrush end, but my teeth have never felt cleaner! It has a small head so it can be angled anywhere in the mouth to give a really full clean. I don’t feel like there’s bits I haven’t been able to clean properly. It is also great for cleaning the backs of my teeth and in between.
I really like the fact that it’s pressure sensitive so you can choose what level works for you. I also like the colour coded band of light around the middle, although you will probably need to be looking in a mirror to see it change. The green light indicates you’re using the right amount of pressure, red too much and white not enough. When I’ve seen it turn white, I know that I’m not pressing hard enough so I make the correction. All very useful to get a full clean.
The battery life is excellent. I have had it for over a week now and only charged it once when it first arrived. It senses vibrations so actually lights up as you’re about to pick it up. I like to think that it’s pleased to see me! One downside though, and the reason I took one star off, is the fact that it only comes with a shaver-style plug. I understand Oral B’s statement is that this is for safety reasons, but as I don’t have this kind of socket in my house, I had to go and buy a separate adaptor, which was annoying. I would rather this had been an option at the time of purchase. I don’t know anyone who actually has one of these plug sockets in their bathroom so I would imagine most people would have to buy a standard UK 3-pin adaptor and charge the toothbrush in a different room. All seemed a little unnecessary to me.
Overall an excellent toothbrush and I’m very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it to others.
