Yeah not cheap but professional cleaning every time. Love the app
Wow, this toothbrush is brilliant, yes it has an app where you can see where you are cleaning, if you are applying to much pressure, all different cleaning modes. But all this to one side, the brush on its own, is brilliant, I have always had electric tooth brushes, but this is by far the best. I can feel it working between my teeth, cleaning my gums. My mouth feels so refreshed after.
I would definitely buy this product again.
It can only be used for 5 days after being fully charged after about 7 months. Each time when about 50% of the power is used, it will stop suddenly, with no flashes of red.
You have to charge it nearly every day. For this price I expected better quality.
Fantastic toothbrush! Had an Oral-B before but this new generation is absolutely fantastic and way better!
Fantastic purchase, easy to set up and the app is great also. The sensors on the brush make it easy to understand how good your brushing is and how hard you are brushing.
Bought the duo for my partner and I as more economical than buying just the one (Xmas gifts sorted 🙂 This model was recommended by my hygienist and it hasn’t disappointed so far. Very intuitive when used with the App and keeps your oral cleaning on track. Reminds you when battery is low and gives a good clean, so much better than my previous (cheaper) version. Would highly recommend!
Definitely recommend this toothbrush, you can use different modes, and changes up quickly, I get a better tooth clean with this brush than I have had with other electronic brushes
Ok, I’m not sure what I was expecting it to do for 150. But I can’t say I’ve noticed a big improvement over my old 30 electric toothbrush. My teeth do feel clean, but i have to say, as always, that’s more down to technique than the toothbrush. For the price i wohld of expected maybe a little more precision or better heads perhaps. Having said that, it’s certainly not a bad purchase if you’re happy to pay the price. The battery life is good, design is sleek and the provided case is good for travel. But still, I would not recommend this toothbrush, for this price, although I would suggest it if it were a little more affordable.
Only received iten, but on first inspection impressed with battery compared to my older Oral B, Bluetooth works well, these iO7’s are an expensive commodity, only time will tell if it has been money well spent however did receive the ” Black Friday Discount” so lessened the blow slightly..
Ordered this on a black friday deal having had my old trust oral b toothbrush for over 7 years. bar replacing heads i had to do nothing to it.
But over time the battery was knackered, so i opted for this model.
I love the app and the digital display gives an insentive and awareness on how long you actually clean your teeth etc.
Huge improvement on performance after brushing my teeth feel so clean. A* from me
This is a great brush, I love that it allows you to choose from various cleaning presets including daily, deep clean and whitening. Having a display showing those settings, displaying a timer and giving you a visual rating on your brushing at the end of each session is great.
Linking to the Oral B app it gets very detailed and tracks your brushing allowing you to know about areas you may have missed, or require more attention. However it is not perfect, numerous times it has failed to recognise exactly where I am brushing, sometimes thinking I am brushing my top left teeth when in fact I am brushing my top right, and failing to ever detect that. It will then give me a low rating at the end of the brushing session simply because it failed to detect exactly where I was brushing.
However when it works correctly it is great, it gives me confidence knowing I am doing it right and even my dentist has commented a notable improvement. I like to set a deep clean plan periodically in the app, when it tracks accurately it gives a rating and advice when needed how to further improve.
The brush is expensive for sure, but it is quieter and more efficient compared to my last Oral B brush and I feel it gives a deeper clean. My gripe would be that replacement heads are quite expensive to, but I can live with that.
A very effective electric toothbrush. It was a bit weird for me at the beginning as it’s the first one I’ve ever used. I like it now, my breath is even better. I think it’s an expensive product, but it does the job very well. I recommend
The Oral-B io7 toothbrush was ordered last year whilst on offer. I don’t think I would’ve but it at full price, so I’m saying good value for what I paid. Its crazy how you can link your phone to the toothbrush, not yet seeing the full benefits and gave up after a week or so. The big thing for me is the buzzing for each 30 seconds until you reach 2 mins. I also really like the colour indication when you are brushing either too hard or too soft. The toothbrush holds decent charge and only need to charge it once every 3 weeks or so. Would recommend but if the price drops a little.
Amazing !
Recommended by my brilliant dentist as I need alot of work doing on very old deteriorating crowns, my gums have stopped bleeding and my teeth feel so clean after using twice a day – an investment !
Should have found this years ago so very easy to use effectively and charges quickly keeping charged up for a week when both I and my partner use it twice a day with interchangeable heads which a are eye wateringly pricey but so effective.
Good price on Amazon worth looking out for discount and quick delivery.
If you’re buying this specifically for the smart features then give it a miss. It doesn’t track its position in your mouth very well and gets stuck showing the brush on one part of your mouth no matter what you do. However it does track your brushing without the app being on while you brush. The brush heads are great and seem to wash your teeth more than just brush them. They can be harsh when you use a new brush head though so be careful.
My dentist told me to get an electric tooth brush and I’m so glad I chose this one. My teeth feel so much cleaner and my gum health has improved too. Great battery life and a useful case too, really pleased I took advantage of the purchase offer when it was o
Right so I’m a self titled nerd when it comes to the two top brand Sonicare and OralB and this toothbrush really blew me away.
So to get started I’m weird and have long brushed my teeth with multiple different toothbrushes, as I believe they clean differently and all had different pros and cons. So in the morning I would Brush with my older OralB genius and then use a Sonicare Diamond Clean in the evening. Yes I know this is weird…
I have also owned previous versions on both. My last Sonicare lasted 8 Years! So credit to them for making a reliable toothbrush.
As mentioned before, I used two as I always felt both brands had there short comings and they seemed to offset each others faults. Sonicare seemed better at gums and between teeth while OralB was superior at deeper cleans on teeth.
This is the first toothbrush where I have felt it doesn’t have any cleaning flaws (although a slightly slimmer brush head would be nice) I really does make you mouth feel dentist clean. Just be careful, if you press hard like can do, it can be a gum destroyer. It, like my other 2 brushes does have pressure sensors to warn you.
Personally don’t bother with the 8 or 9. This 7 cleans exactly the same, just lacks a colour screen and a few pointless modes that you will never use. The 9’s charge case isn’t even USB which is just stupid. With an RRP of 499 and an actual price of 249 you would have expected more. The case should atleast have USB C charging and I personally would say a battery inside it to charge on the go, like all modern wireless bud headphones do. They really missed a trick there.
So at the 110 Deal price I paid, this was for the best toothbrush I have ever bought.
Honestly, the brush is superb. I managed to get it at a time when it was heavily discounted so I’m happy to give it 5 stars. It would be hard to justify over 200 for it, but at 100 I think its good value. And if you think 100 is still expensive, compare that to your next dentist bill.
I bought this toothbrush because it was a Which Magazine best buy. Mine cost me 130 but in Boots it was on sale for 400, so be warned. I assume the toothbrush is keeping plaque at bay the way Which Magazine said it would, although of course one has no way of knowing. What is really useful about the brush is the fact that it keeps its charge for a couple of weeks so that if you’re travelling you don’t have to take the charger with you, and we all know how few power points there are in most hotel bedrooms. The only slightly irritating thing about it is the smooth handle finish. It means that in use when it gets wet, the thing can become quite slippery. It is certainly high tech. The base of the handle lights up if you’re not brushing away hard enough, and indeed it can go red if you go at it too hard. Quite a clever little thing, in fact.
The toothbrush as an electric toothbrush is very good. The pressure indicator light is very useful. Personally I don’t find the many programmes useful I only use the main programme. Doesn’t study charged for long but I keep mine plugged in and charged ongoing. It is extortionately expensive but it does what it says!
Seems to have much more of brush movement than the standard Oral-B brushes. Also much faster rotation and more powerful action. Best improvement to me is that it not only indicates when you are pressing too hard but also when you are brushing too lightly. This has really helped reduce plaque build-up and gum bleeding. The interaction with the app also helps to ensure you have given equal attention to all sections of your teeth.
I have used Philips Sonicare brushes for quite some time and was sort of stuck in my ways before I decided to come back to the oral-b brand that had been my first choice some years ago when I first switched from a manual brush. I can’t remember why I switched over, and I did like the Philips brush, but I keep finding the battery dies or the brush starts to misbehave and thus needs to be replaced. So back to oral-b to see how things have changed.
Despite apps now seeming to have taken over the world, certainly as far as toothbrushes are concerned, the rest of the package is reassuringly familiar, including those small, circular brush heads. That shape and size means it is easier to get into small areas in your mouth where extra attention may be necessary, helping to keep your teeth in better shape and hopefully avoid any attention from a dentist other than a scale, polish and general check over.
So far, I like it just fine and I am pleased to have made the move back. No way would I have paid the full rrp that is listed on the site, but a deep discount tempted me back. I am pleased so far.
After the very first use I can tell you this toothbrush worth every penny!!!! It felt great and super clean!! I was very hesitating whether to get the iO series 7 or series 9 I don’t really need the other features that the io 9 have all I care about is the daily clean which is I think it’s doing fantastic job compare to my oral b 7000
I hesitated about buying this due to the cost but had a couple of vouchers making it cheaper. Having used it I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it at the full price of 120 but no more. It cleans so much better than my 5 year old Braun, as you would expect and hope at that price. It is much quieter and gives a very thorough clean. I like the way the white/green lights indicate if you’re using the correct pressure (red if too firm). The battery life is good and the charger is very neat. Highly recommend
My first foray in to the world of electric toothbrushes, and all I can say is wow! The different modes allow you to focus on certain things such as whitening mode, daily clean, sensitive mode, and these all differ in intensity providing you a great cleaning experience. The app connectivity is fantastic, and helps you see in real time how much you have cleaned different sections of your teeth, and then providing you with a brushing score based on the outcome. Fantastic kit and well worth the money.
Oral b have always had a weird pricing system and before you buy this make sure it’s the right price. There are tracking sites which will tell you the minimum price on Amazon.
Firstly which version? Io7 io8 io9. The answer is probably io7. I suspect almost no one who has the more expensive versions uses the extra functions or cares the smiley face display is in colour.
The io9 does have a travel charging case but you can buy this from spares sites for 40 and the io9 is almost double the price of the io7
As for the brushing. It’s quieter and more thorough than anything else oral b make. Given the cost of going to the dentist it’s a bargain. The brush heads are more than double the cost of normal heads
The app is a waste of time In my view especially if more than one person uses the toothbrush base
Am I happy I spent 130 on a new toothbrush ?-well actually I think it’s money well spent but many people would disagree.
My partner told me off when she found out how much it cost. She then used it and bought one for herselfthat’s how good/different they are
I didn’t realise that my teeth where not very clean u til I purchased this. I brush twice a day and floss but my teeth have never felt this clean in my life it’s like I’ve been to the dentist every day. Also seems to stop the build up you get on your there from sweets, pop etc. Can’t recommend enough fabulous product and worth every penny!! I got the black one!
Bought to replace an Oral-B Genius 9000, that died after 4 years (it stopped charging).
Much quieter than the genius model. Teeth feel much cleaner after using for the first time, compared to the Genius 9000.
App works better than with the genius, much more accurate tracking.
Timer vibrate only works when the app is not tracking, I would prefer the vibrate after 30 seconds to be on all the time.
Can’t comment on battery longevity as only just started using it.
Overall very pleased with it after first use.
Replaced my existing oral b with the IO 7 it’s a great toothbrush and the app is a step up
Reading other reviews they say it is slippy I didn’t find this to be an issue. My only issue is price got it at a better price of 129 but still a lot of money for a toothbrush
I bought this brush as it was rated highly on Which and my old brush needed an upgrade. Overall I’m impressed by the brush but like all things, there’s a couple of flaws.
Pros:
– battery life automatically shown after each use. I like being able to track it easily in this way.
– i have had this about 2 weeks and haven’t had to recharge since the first time yet, so pleased with the battery life
– the app is handy and helpful. I’m definitely brushing better when I use it
Cons:
– the design of the brush means that the handle to the brush tip is sleek which looks great but is impracticable when using the brush as water trickles down the brush and on to your hand
– it’s quite loud which may be off putting to some
