What does VA panel mean?
Intermediate version between TN and IPS panels. You will perceive a higher colour quality than with TN panels. They achieve 3 to 5 times higher contrast than a TN panel. They have a viewing angle of up to 178 degrees.
Does FreeSync and G-Sync support?
Yes.
What is the refresh rate?
The refresh rate is measured in Hertz (Hz) and is the rate at which the display is able to refresh the image every second, i.e. display a new image.
What is the response time?
If it is too high, the pixels are slow to change colour when displaying a moving image. This results in halos or light trails when the images on the screen are moving very fast.
What aspect ratio should I use for each resolution?
4:3 VGA, SVGA, XGA, UXGA

For the money, this monitor astounded me with its clarity and I would recommend it.
The only negative is that the cable ports are quite inaccessible from the front and I suggest connection of all cables before you put the monitor in its place.
Happy husband. Amazing resolution. Easy to use and cool looking.
The gaming monitor has great resolution and looks very stylish.
The curved screen makes playing the games ultra immersive.
Would recommend to others.
Love this monitor & all the extras that come with it. I have more expensive top of the line monitors by leading brands but this one is 1000% better than all of them well worth the money
Everything about the monitor is fine it’s perfect for gaming and stuff but I accidentally overclocked it to 170hz and now it doesn’t work whenever I turn on my pc.
This a great budget gaming monitor its a bit confusing as their are two options for this monitor in the buy options. If your after this for the xbox series s or x please choose the QHD 2560×1440 monitor. Your xbox will run at 1440p and 120hrz refresh rate no problem what so ever. I took a punt on this for my xbox series s and it amazing for the price of 189 as got this in a black friday deal. The only down side to this monitor is you can’t adjust it up or down. You can tilt but that’s about it. I had a 1440p monitor for my xbox and it broke so I had to down grade to a 1080p 60hrz refresh rate it was awful after playing on a monitor that runs 1440p and 120hrz refresh rate.. so this as been a great upgrade from my old monitor. really is a great budget gaming monitor as a lot of the QHD 2560×1440 monitor are very expensive.
Got this for 130 on black Friday, its worth so much more, its better than the dell curved i had, I use it for my 2nd screen and also to play high demanding games on the GPU because of the lower 1080p with my primary being 1440p, I do not notice motion blur. I use Nvidia DSR to set the display to 1440p and it looks so clear still. Great monito
The issue I have with it is that the outer bezels are pleasingly thin – looks like a high end monitor on they regard. But there’s a blank black section of ‘screen’ inside the bezel. It’s not a fault as when the monitor is off you can see the difference between the screen and the surround. A bit cheeky of them if you ask me. I’ll not buy another Oversteel product. If I knew this before buying it I would not have bought it. Needless to say the promo pics don’t show this. In actually quite annoyed about it the more I think about it. Might even get a refund.
It has been a week since I started using it.
Firstly, the monitor was very easy to put together with its stand. It only took three screws and it was ready! The monitor comes with a two piece stand, being held together with a screw. The monitor comes with an easy attachable back, which you screw onto the stand and it’s really easy to put on/take off by only a push of a button. Unfortunately, you cannot move the monitor the way you want to and it is fixed in place. Personally for me, it hasn’t been an issue so far but being able to adjust it according to preference would have been a huge plus.
With the monitor, you get 4 screws (3 required to set up), a handbook, wall mount pillars, power cable and a display port. I use a MacBook so I purchased an additional display port to USB-C cable. You could use HDMI as an alternative but display makes use of the response time etc.
The monitor itself was straightforward to set up, although a bit annoying. While setting up, if you’re reading the settings and don’t interact with the settings, the menu closes and you have to open it again. The handbook explains how to do everything. The buttons were a bit fiddly and it takes a bit until you remember what buttons do what. The low intensity blue light technology is just the screen disabling the blue light. You might already be aware of this if you have an iPhone. It’s the same as night mode with the screen turning yellow. It does prevent your eyes from tiring and is useful.
The area where the ports are located is behind the PC with a piece of plastic preventing you from seeing where exactly the ports are. The plastic is very delicate and it feels like it will snap if I put in too much force. I haven’t tried opening it yet as I don’t want to break anything.
The ports present on the monitor are two HDMI, one display, one audio out (3.5mm) and a power port. It is unfortunate that there is no USB port. I purchased a wired speaker as I did not want to charge a Bluetooth speaker and I only then realised that I cannot use the monitor as a power source for the speaker. To accommodate that, I had to plug the speaker directly to a power supply which is inconvenient.
The display itself has been great so far. The response time is great for gaming. The monitor reflects light which is annoying. It doesn’t directly reflect the light into your eyes but kind of spreads it out and one part of the screen is just really bright. It’s not unbearable but just something that stands out. The display is FHD. and the image quality has been really good.
Overall, the monitor has been great. The connectivity is good, the image quality is good and it’s been easy to set up. The only thing I’m not happy about is the resolution but cannot complain considering the price I got for this. But in this day and age, all devices use QHD+ resolution so I feel like im missing out on that department. We’ll see. If anything pops up, I’ll update this review.
The spec’s are impressive on this Full HD gaming monitor, VA panel, Response time MPRT 1Ms, GSYNC & FREESYNC compatible, 165HZ
Inputs are vis HDMI and Display port
Plugging the monitor in is a wow, the quality of image is superb, crystal clear and and very detailed, so much better than I’ve used in the passed, I’m using a HP gaming monitor at moment and this knocks it out of the park, although the HP is a few years old.
A superb monitor, it has the looks and the performance to match
