Possibly the best straighteners I’ve ever had. I have quite dry, curly hair and this left my hair soft and very shiny. Highly recommended.
My girlfriend tried these straighteners out on her long thick wavy hair and she was pleasantly surprised at how well they smoothed and straightened her hair and gave it a nice shine. Her hair did look lovely after using them to be fair. She liked that the straighteners heat up very quickly and that you could adjust the heat setting as well to help prevent breakages. She also found that even the lowest heat setting, they straightened her hair well. Despite being an avid fan of her GHD’s, she said that these straighteners are very close in effectiveness to her GHD’s in making her hair smooth and straight. However, she did say that these straighteners did not keep her hair as straight as her GHD’s do. She also said that she was surprised that these straighteners do not come with a heat mat, especially for the price, and had to use a mat that she already had whilst using them. Overall, she would recommend these straighteners but only second to GHD’s for her type of hair and believed that they would be more effective on finer hair for long lasting straightness.
Excellent straighteners. My hair looks as though I have been to a salon. Worth the money
Now these are some EXPENSIVE straighteners. The packaging is nice enough – but perhaps not 200 nice – and the product itself is well engineered and works very well. Much quicker to heat up than cheaper items. What you are really paying for here are the quality of the heating elements and plates, they are far better than what you see on cheap versions. That said whether this will be worth the money will depend on whether your hair type needs it. Essentially this will be overkill if you anything but thick unruly hair…or enough money to pay the extra.
My wife has been using these in place of her trusty, but worn, plug in GHDs and overall she has been positive.
The definitely straighten well and do the job even at lower temperatures without much fuss. It gets to temperature quickly too so you’re not left waiting around. They also feel rugged and I suspect would stand up well to travel and regular use.
On the flip side the plats don’t lie flush when the device is closed meaning some lighter hair may simply fall out rather than be straightened. They’re also fairly noisy compared to the GHDs they are replacing and most disappointingly given a 200 price tag there’s no heat mat, glove or case.
This hair straightener is really good for hair. As it has got nanoe technology which is really nice touch to it.
This straightener has moving plates which adjust according to hair. I have medium hair and it just need a single stroke to straightened it.
Wire is more heavier than that of main straightener.
It is small enough to carry with you while travelling.
This straightener came with a operating instruction manual which has explained everything including how many strokes are advisable.
Only flaw is, it is too expensive. I guess good things comes with a price tag. But this is out of budget.
My GF is really happy about his straightener as she has a bit of curly hair. However, the first thing you will notice is the price which is quite high for this kind of device. But it is really worth it as it is a high-quality straightener which works really well. Sadly they do not provide a protective glove or something in a box , as some other brands cost cheaper. The cord length is good and it will be enough to use it not too far from the socket. Controls are easily understandable as they are done by buttons. +/- regulates temperature and whats it is.
The first thing is it heats up really fast and with a minute you can use it, at a max temperature which is really good. As well it is really light I would say around 200-250 g which is another great thing than you would use this straightener for longer times especially for professional hairdressers.
The Nanotechnologies in this straightener as well are something of interest, as it is hydrating your hair while you straightening them and they become shinier. And it does not finish just with nanotechnologies, it has Floating plates which move in all directions and helps to apply pressure evenly to all the hair. Basically, a lot of technologies to keep your hair straight and looking healthy.
Overall, amazing straightener which works fast, and are full of technologies to help with your hair. It is pricy but it will last and will work for a long time.
Got this for the other half (my hair, for better or worse, is already straighter than a ruler).
She is very impressed with the product as a whole. The build quality is fantastic and this is evident even just by picking up and holding the device. Not that it matters a whole lot, but the Champagne gold finish looks fab.
In practice the straighteners work very fast. Which is just as well, because if they took as long as the previous pair then I’d continue to be covered in cobwebs.
No burns or other injuries, and she has used them on slightly damp hair without issue.
Recommended.
Panasonic brand appliances are great. This product just came in this year and I have wanted it for a long time. Not only does it use nanotechnology to reduce heat damage, it has high-speed smart heaters and 3D floating plates that move up, down, left, and right, effectively and evenly straightening hair, and leaving no gaps. About 30 seconds after I plugged it in. It started heating up and I heard a buzzing sound. Note, please rest assured that it’s not a fault. It’s the sound of nanometers being released. It’s low voice. First, I divided my hair into four parts starting at the bottom and working my way up. During the heating process, the outer layer of the straightener is slightly hot, so it’s not hot to hand ,but for safety , it’s best not to touch it for a long time. ,It’s only recommended to hold it gently when pulling the hair. The first time I used it, I set it to the minimum temperature of 150 degrees, which I personally think is fit for my hair. There’s no discovery at present if forget to turn off the power, it will be automatically. Maybe it need to be set to the highest temperature. Try it next time. After putting the hair, it was smooth and pliancy, and the next day it was still straight until I washed it. It’s suitable for those with long, curly, thick and damaged hair. It’s affordable and absolutely perfect product.
This is a beautifully designed Hair straightener that left hair smooth and shiny and no sign of frizz
We tried it on my daughters hair which is long, thick and wavy and, after trying this straightener, she had beautiful shiny straight hair in a few minutes.
The hair felt well conditioned and not at all dry.
I have very short hair which is also tries to wave, and I struggle to get it to sit properly without straightening bits of it. This hair straightener managed to tame the wavy bits in seconds with no burning and no effort.
They heated up quickly and there are different heat setting for hair thickness and requirements.
The straightener is light in use and the rotating cable means no snare up.
They are rather expensive and I’m not sure I would pay that much but the technology and design, is way ahead of anything else I have used.
Happy to Recommend
My mum has pretty thick hair and finds it hard to get things to work with her style but she likes these.
The straighteners come well packaged in a nicely designed box and are protected well inside.
From the description my mum gave, she said that switching these on was a cinch and one of the first things she noticed was that these heated up nice and quickly.
During use she noticed that her hair did feel a bit softer (which is a surprise due to the thickness of her hair) so that is a positive too.
I let my mum try my wife’s GHD as a comparison, and she said this Panasonic set gives a pretty close feel to the GHDs, however one noticeable thing was that the Panasonic set does not come with a nice carry case.
Overall these are very nice though and i think that they will work well for most hair types
I have fairly long, medium thickness hair that can best be described as fluffy… the kind of hair that looks like it will go wavy when it’s wet but then dries into a fluffy mess. To put this hair straightener to the test I let my hair dry fully fluffy before going in.
Pros
– Even on the lower temperatures it straightens my hair beautifully. I did most of my hair on the 170 setting and it looks amazing.
– Leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy with none of the dryness that I’ve experienced with some other straighteners.
– The plates do feel very smooth but took a while to get used to them. Initially they didn’t feel as smooth as my GHDs but after doing my whole head I think they just felt different to what I was used to.
Cons
– It makes a weird buzzing noise when it’s on which is really off-putting. If this was a cheaper product or from a different brand it’s the kind of noise that would have made me turn it off and not use it again.
– The plates don’t lie flat against each other. When you close the straightens the top touches together first and leaves a gap of a millimetre or two on the other side of the plates. This seems really teeny but it’s enough for your hair to fall out the end.
– Maybe because of the above, I felt that my hair slipped out of the plates quite easily, but if I pressed them together harder it felt like it was tugging on my ends in a way that didn’t feel good.
– I couldn’t put very large chunk of hair through at once. The hair would fall out and straighten a little funny.
– The straightens come on their own with nothing else. No glove, or heat mat. This isn’t necessarily a con but for a 200 product I think I’d at least have expected a heat mat.
Overall these did make my hair look lovely, but I wouldn’t say they performed any better than my 8 year old GHDs. The main benefit was the variable temperature which I am a huge fan of, but I don’t think this alone was worth the big price tag, especially given that it tugged on my ends.
Arrived on time and well packaged. This is very well known brand and while it doesn’t come with some of the accessories like a carry bag, etc that GHD does, this is a good hair straightene
To provide some context, I have fairly thick but wavy / curly hair. Type 2C, so will usually either straighten it or make the curls more deliberately pronounced. As a result, I usually need straighteners that have very silky smooth plates to ensure my curly hair does not catch and tear, but also plates which can hit the higher temps evenly due to thickness.
The straighteners come in a nice looking box and taking them out they look very smart. There is a swivel style plug terminating in a UK plug. On the straighteners themselves is a lock button, multiple LEDs and 3 buttons.
To turn on and off the straighteners there is a power button. There is a blue LED to help show the status. In addition there is 2 more buttons that go up and down in temperature between 5 pre-sets (230/200/180/170/150). They heat up fairly quick, 10 seconds to hit 100 degrees then 20 seconds to hit the temp levels needed. For myself I go to the warmer setting of 200 degrees. Go here or 230 if you have thicker hair. Stay cooler if you have damaged / thinner hair.
The plates themselves are silky smooth something which is a must for my hair vs cheaper products as my hair can catch easily and in turn causes problems. I put in heat resistant spray and let it settle and get to work. Straighteners have no problem going through my hair effortlessly. The plates can also piviot more easily compared to others as in addition to going up and down like others, they can go side to side, so better shape to your hair as it glides through the plates. I will confess on looks front, compared to other high end straighter, I do not notice a shine difference which apparently expected due to moisture-rich nanoe. Then again all the comparable high end ones also bluster about similar tech so could be why.
In all these work perfectly. Like always however with high end straighteners, these Panasonic ones are not cheap. However for me it boils down to, do they do the job perfectly. When it does the job so well it will be a longer term investment so cost spreads out fine. However the counter point to this which I am not a fan of is the warranty is only a year, competition products of similar price range offer 2 or even 3 years in some cases, so loss of star there for me.
