Love the shaver, the only problem I have is that nowhere can I find any information on how to order the foil/cutter head. I always like to have a spare “just in case”!

Looks good and like a very high quality product but it’s for the UK market and it comes with an EU plug?

    Very good product but...

I own a Braun Series 9 which was good. However this Panasonic is far far superior in every way. The closeness of shave is comparable to a razor blade. The features are better than the Braun. The build Quality of the Braun 9 is better but thats about the only advantage over the Panasonic. If you want the best electric shaver on the market buy this Panasonic

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve allways used a Philishave top of the range model the only problem I had was trying to shave just under my nose eventually it died so decided to try for the first time this Panasonic foil shaver I was well impressed
this Panasonic foil saver not only managed to shave under my nose but i also found it shaved
closer and very comfortable I so wished I would have brought this sooner although it was not cheap but if it lasts as long as my Philishave did I,ll be more than happy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve gone through a lot of electric shavers in my time, Braun & Phillips but never Panasonic. Until now.

This shaver is by far the best shaver I’ve ever owned. Ok it’s not cheap but worth every single penny.

It cuts as close as wet shaving (which is amazing in itself) but it’s gentle on the skin which I suffer with shaving rash. It’s quicker than my previous Braun series 7 & 9.

The cleaning unit is small and does an excellent job at cleaning the razer. Only point I’d say is that the cleaning fluid isn’t sealed when inside the cleaning station so you have to be very careful not to knock it or spill it.

But this is a minor point for such a good shaver.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI decided to treat myself to a new shaver. My old Braun series 7 790cc-3 has served me well for many years.
Due to this, I was tempted to go for the new Braun series 9 pro.
After many hours of research, I pulled the plug on the Panasonic ES-LS9A. The reason being, it didn’t appear that Braun had moved forward with their design.
There weren’t many reviews on the Panasonic but it was mentioned frequently in those I found, that it struggled with long lay flat hairs. It was also said it wasn’t suitable for sensitive skin.
Despite having issues with both of the aforementioned, I still went ahead with the purchase. I knew I could return it, if I wasn’t happy.
Not being overly confident in my purchase, everything stayed in the box, bar the shaver.
I usually shave every 3 or 4 days, so waited patiently for my 3 days growth, before testing out my new purchase.
I immediately found the shaver had less vibration when I turned it on compared to my old Braun. It was also much more comfortable to hold. The biggest surprise was when I put the foils to my face to shave. It is amazingly comfortable, gliding & cutting with impossible ease.
My Braun with a new foil would snag occasionally & there was a resistance to push it. I never noticed this resistanc but having used the Panasonic, it was obviously there.
I shaved my whole face within half the usual time it takes with the Braun. The lay flat hairs were dealt with, with no issues. My usually awkward neck area, was a breeze to cut. I didn’t have the usual fight, having to attack from every direction, stretching my skin in all directions to get a clean shave.
I was literally blown away at how good this shaver is & filled with relief.
My face did have a slight tingle once finished, so I waited until the following day before unpacking the box. I was expecting a rash could come but nothing appeared.
The shave was also much closer than the old Braun. It’s now 2 days since my first shave & it’s as though I only shaved yesterday.
I’ve now unpacked everything & plan to sell the old Braun.
I’m glad I took the plunge into the unknown & bought the Panasonic. It’s a hefty price but I’d say its worth every penny.
The shaver is easy to clean, by removing the foils, tapping out the hair & giving it a brush & a rinse under the tap.
I doubt I’ll use the cleaning station, they’re a bit of a gimmick if truth be told. You can keep the shaver clean with the above method. Regular oiling of the blades keeps them sharp too.
I hope my review helps others who have sensitive skin & lay flat hairs take the plunge on this fantastic shaver. I honestly can’t think how any shaver could outperform this beauty.

Braun series 7 was the best tool I used to shave my beard, but after broken, I started to look for the best shaving machine suits my sensitive skin. After opening the box, I found the machine is so premium, then I tried it to shave my beard, but I found pretty bad rash on my neck, I decided to use a cream, some of the hairs have been shaved, then I have used my Gillette to remove the rest of the hair.

Imagine series 7 from Braun is better than this shaving machine that has 6 blades.

In summary, this machine is very good if you have not sensitive skin.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis 6 blade shaver comes with a charging/cleaning dock that you plug into a shaver socket, along with a sachet of cleaning solution that has to be mixed with water in the unit. There is also a travel case that’s molded to fit and lubricant oil anf cleaning brush.
It detects when being held and lights uo to show battery percentage. There is also a auto lock that locks the on and off switch.
The spring loaded multi tilt head allows good contact a quick shave is very quick and easy . If hair is longer best to use the pop out trimmer which is narrow and quite time consuming.
The loudness isn’t too bad and it charges really quickly .
This is great for sensitive skin and the only shaver my partners ever been able to use without irritatio

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using this shaver for over a month now and I must say that compared to other foil shavers I’ve used in the past, this is definitely the best one I have used thus far. I love how quick & easy it is to use and that it delivers a satisfactory close shave even when using it dry.

Whilst I do love my Gillette ProGlide Razor which does provide that bit extra closer shave, this Panasonic shaver still gets much use; basically, if I have a lot of time spare I’ll use the Gillette and if I’m more in a rush I’ll opt for the Panasonic.

    Pros:
    * Premium construction.
    * Easy to use.
    * Comfortable to hold.
    * Able to deliver a quick yet close shave.
    * Rarely pulls on my hair.
    * Has a hidden trimmer, handy for getting rid of some stubborn longer hairs.
    * Decent battery life.
    * The charge and cleaning station is a great combination to have.

    Cons:
    * The cleaning/drying process is quite noisy and lasts for a long time, so not ideal doing when others are sleeping in your household.

Apart from all the features and brilliant specification of this product I must say that this shaver is just fab! Very comfortable to hold and manoeuvre, 6 different blades that moves in 10 different direction each separately helps to achieve a good shave. You can personalised the shaving mood, auto cleaning mood, obviously wet and dry shave and any other pretty standard options features these days. Packed nicely, blades are proper and the shave is brilliant. Expensive but worth it.

Panasonic’s best shaver yet. I have sensitive skin but the new 6 blade head gives me a gentle close shave.

I have been using this shaver for nearly a month and it is excellent, ergonomic, easy to hold and manoeuvre and gives a smooth, close shave. The shaver is supplied with a travel case, cleaning brush and charger, a cleaning dock and liquid, and a small bottle of oil and instructions. The shaver can be charged in the dock or by using the charger and plugging into the shaver directly. Each charge has given me 10 to 14 shaves with the battery percentage shown on the shaver. The shaver has a smart lock feature so that it only operates when it is being held in the hand, it automatically locks the power button one minute after use and the power button is disabled unless the shaver is being held, ideal for travelling and it also is supplied with a sturdy travel case. First impression is that the head on the shaver is too large to give a good shave, this isn’t the case as the head and cutters move to keep contact with the skin and the cutters shave very close indeed. The cutters are also able to shave right under the nose, an area often difficult to shave. A small trimmer is available with a slider on the back; the slider can also lock the head from moving. Whilst the shaver can be cleaned in the cleaning dock Panasonic also gives details of cleaning using water and hand soap, the shaver features an sonic mode for this method activated by holding the on button for two seconds; the shaver is then cleaned with running water, dried and oiled. A beautiful looking, excellent shaver.

Beautiful looking, high tech, excellent shave

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI purchased a top priced rotary shaver at the end of May and sent it back after one shave, luckily it was just at the time the Arc6 was released here in the UK (June2022) so i decided to try my first Arc shave. I have dry shaved every 2nd day, i am 55yr old and have steel like thick stubble, this shaver cut threw it like it was tipped with diamonds. Its the best dry shave i have ever had by a long way, it’s about 97% as close to a wet razor shave, but dry. i use nivea sensitive cool balm on my face after, feels so good, a winning combination.

Makes no bones about it that this is very, very expensive so if you are giving this as a gift you must really love that person a lot with very little change from about 400 although the price is gone now so it may be lower when back in stock.

This is really for people who already have a regular shaving regime and not for those who have let it all grow out as I found.

The head was extraordinarily flexible and remarkable comfortable, I certainly was not expecting that in both wet and dry shaving, the trimmer is also quite natty allowing you to create some barberesque patterns and designs yourself.

The charger is also a cleaning station which is also a nice and efficient surprise as it cuts down the time needed tidying up afterwards, I’m not so sure about the beard sensor although it could just be that it is so good I have not noticed it working.

It is definitely the loudest shaver I’ve used in a long time but I actually like that as hearing the hairs being trimmed down lets me know it is working well.

Definitely the best shaver I’ve ever used, but even being the best still has the highest price point I’ve had too, I can do nothing but recommend it with a ward to the curious about the price when it is back in stock.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersi must admit , I was a bit dubious on spending 300 on an electric razor.
The first shave was a three day beard.
It was a close comfortable shave, no sore places on my neck.delighted. Even the after shave didn’t have me jumping around so much. I would recommend this razor.

This Panasonic ES-LS9A wet & dry 6-blade electric shaver arrived well packed with cleaning/charging station, travel case, cleaning brush and lubricant oil, would be a great gift idea.

Shaver looks and feels of a premium quality.
It is well made from a smooth plastic.
Shaver is comfortable to grip, hold and use.
It has its weight, but isn’t very heavy.

Thanks to the cleaning/charging station the shaver is very easy to look after.

It charges fast and keeps the charge well.
My partner uses it ‘dry’ for the last two weeks and it is still on the first charge.
It is very convenient that it is rechargable, so we don’t have to worry about length of the cable or sockets availability.
It is almost self cleaning what is also a big plus.

This shaver is powerful, has 6 blades and provides very precise and clean shaving.
Skin is left soft and smooth in one go, usually repeated moves are not required.
It adapts easily to the shape of the face.
Blades are very sharp and cut the hair easily, so it isn’t painful at all.

I Iike its practical design with pop-out trimmer.
Shaver is reasonably quite, but a bit louder than Braun we have.

It has nice easy to read display which shows the battery charge or special cleaning icon when the cleaning is required.

Pleasure to use, excellent quality, effective shaving, easy to look after but a bit pricey.
One of the best shavers I’ve tested, so I would happily recommend it.

The shaver itself is well made, solid and easy to hold. Gives a good close shave with no irritation. No issues with battery life either, lasts a good while.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Panasonic 6-blade electric shaver is solidly build and nicely designed, as you would expect from Panasonic.

It comes with a charging/cleaning dock that you plug into a shaver socket, along with a sachet of cleaning solution that has to be mixed with water in the unit.

The shaver glides very smoothly over the skin and gives a close shave, obviously not as good as a wet shave but no electric shaver will give you that. I have a Braun Series 9 shaver, which is their top of the range, and it compares well with that. The shave feels closer but that could be because it is brand new as I remember the Braun giving a similar close shave when new. It does seem to glide much smoother than the Braun.

It is a more high-pitched buzz and is a bit louder at 90db compared to 80db for the Braun. Ergonomically it sits nicely in the hand although the way I hold it, my thumbs sits very close to or even on the on/off button and switches it off mid-shave. This is probably just me getting used to it and getting the best grip.

The head has a much wider range of movement than the Braun with a clever mounting that swivels in all directions keeping the head well placed on your skin.

It has an auto-lock feature that locks the on/off button if you aren’t holding it. When you pick up the shaver it detects you are holding it and the LCD screen illuminates to show the current charge as a percentage, which I find much more useful than the bars on the Braun. There are also icons that indicate if it needs to be cleaned. This can be done by just running it under the tap or using the cleaning dock. You also get a small bottle of oil to put on the foils to lubricate them.

A travel case is supplied which has a moulded interior to fit the shape of the shaver and stop it moving around, and a cleaning brush.

This is a good shaver, I would say probably one of the best you can get, but it is expensive.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis thing looks like a beast on first unboxing, with its huge head, angular case and dark styling looking like it means serious business. But when you start using it, it turns out it’s a gentle giant, that seems to have been designed to avoid hurting you at all costs- even if it means not always cutting hair. ‘Smooth’ seems to be the operative word here.

The spring-loaded, multi-tilting head is a very clever bit of engineering, allowing the gently curved blades to make good contact with your skin and follow your movement around whilst keeping good contact. For hair that’s already short, or only shaved yesterday, the results are quick and effective and the quality of the blades is quickly evident. It’s a thorough shave that doesn’t take too many swipes to get the job done, and it deals with reasonably stubborn stubble, up to a point. It’s so smooth that I almost feel like I wouldn’t need to use aftershave after shaving with this (though I’ve been slapping aftershave on anyway, mostly out of habit).

The product box makes a point of mentioning “longer, tricky beards”, that’s what I started with when first testing this shaver and it was on longer hair that this shaver disappointed me a bit more. The behaviour when running this shaver over longer beard hair was quite unexpected. Where other shavers might grab and pinch the hairs painfully, this shaver manages to just ignore them. Somehow it manages to just roll over longer hair, barely touching it, not really doing anything. Even when I stopped being tentative and started thinking “come on, shave it then!” it seemed to actively resist cutting long hair. I’m not even sure how it managed to do it! I resorted to my usual approach, of trimming the hair much shorter with quick use of a trimmer before the more precise shaving began.

Which leads me onto the trimmer on the shaver, which is powerful and again, very smooth- but unfortunately very narrow indeed. It takes ages to run this across a whole lower face in preparation for a shave. If I were just trimming and not intending to shave afterwards, then the smoothness of it might be quite handy, but as part of a shaving process, I’m happier with the results I get from a thirty quid curved Remington trimmer, which is a quicker and easier way to set up for the real shaving to begin.

The shaver sound is reasonably refined, but not the best I’ve ever heard. It whines a little and is fairly high-pitched, but not nearly as loud and irritating as some others.

The charging and cleaning base is substantially clunky, with the shaver standing quite proud from the base when put in there to charge, leaving the whole thing quite tall. There are a couple of slightly odd design decisions, like having the power cable go into the device vertically at the side which ends up looking a little untidy in my opinion, but for the most part it’s very smart and simple, with clear display lights on the front and an intuitive single-button approach. Again the device is just a little whiney when working, but it’s generally very professional, and the tipping detection on the base is a nice touch.

Panasonic have made a classy, super-smooth shaver here, and if you want the most sensitive shaver on the market, this might well be it. In some regards it does seem a bit overpriced and underpowered compared to some of the very strong competition.
