My husband is delighted with this shaver, he has tried others in the past but none compare to this one.

The cleaning and charging stand is handy. This replaced my older similar Panasonic shaver. Find this style much easier to use and gives a closer shave than the 3 head Phillips style shavers. Not cheap but worth it for an easy to use close shave.

I usually do not write reviews but made an exception this time.
This shaver is brilliant, especially in giving as close a shave as possible compared to a conventional razor.
It struggles a bit with longer hairs but then that is not supposed to be its main purpose.
For an average growing beard, I will use a conventional razor if you have not shaved for more than a week but otherwise this one is good for even a few days stubble.
It is quite ergonomic and the head can move is various directions to enable reach all the odd angles and corners.
The cleaning unit works like a dream even though it can be a bit noisy. I usually put it to clean and recharge every couple of days but I guess it can be done once a week.
I went for a 2 week long holiday and the shaver did not need recharging during the whole period and I just washed it under warm tap water after every shave
This shaver is highly recommended by me

This is an excellent product, I work in the military and are required to shave every day with a razor,I’ve been using this for months with no irritation and a close enough shave to look professional every day.

This Panasonic Wet & Dry 5-Blade Electric Shaver is great.
I’ve got this electric shaver for my husband. He used this electric shaver to shave his head and he was very happy with the results. It left his head nice and smooth there were no cuts on his head.
This shaver is easy to use and high quality.
    I would recommend it.

Delighted with it. It’s very light weight, comfortable to hold and gives a very close shave. I love the fact I can switch between modes which either allows the head to follow the contours of my face or fix the head in one position. The attached trimmer for side burns works well.
Aesthetically, it’s a looks good looking device.

I am extremely impressed with this. I’ve been so fed up with my husbands stubbles growing back so fast which then dig into my skin like a thousand needles when he approaches me. Very unpleasant! But I also know shaving daily is not great for your skin. This however, has been the perfect solution for us! He can use this on a daily basis without causing razor bumps or ingrown hairs. Extremely easy to use and what I did not know is that the charging stand also cleans!!! Didn’t even know this existed. Amazing what technology can do nowadays lol It cleans it really well and quickly too. Hygiene is so important with shaving tools. Would make a great eid, birthday, Christmas present etc. Amazing quality and definitely worth the price. Can only recommend

Hello and welcome to my truthful review of the Panasonic stainless steel ES – LV9U wet & dry shaver, comes with a charging stand and cleaning fluid.

I have tested the shaver on a variety of areas with unwanted hair to include

    Chin
    Face
    Legs
    Head
    Arms
    Bikini area
    Husband hairy chest.

My review maybe different to others and you will see why my review is fairly long. I like to do reviews to cover hopefully questions anyone has on this product.

So Panasonic, we all know this brand, and are renowned for good solid products. This razor is no different. My late Dad always paid the earth for electric razors, and always had a great shave, meaning the more money spent, the better the product. In this case, totally true.

My husband likes to wet shave with a proper razor not the cheap razors, I have tried for years to perhaps not fully convert him, but just to see the difference.

So here we go, my review and you maybe surprised..

Classed as a man’s electric razor, why? Why not the partner, ladies like to feel special to right?

My husband and I both tried this razor and it’s damn good I have to say.

When my husband wet shaves his head, he could still see the grey on his scalp. Please see my images of his head. He tried dry shaving the bristle bits on his head, yep a good job, however wanted more from this experience. He stood at the mirror, wet his head with a sponge, applied some Gillette gel, massaged, and used the shaver.. the feeling was nice, soft and smooth. The wet shave on his head was totally remarkable. He was left with no bristle when gliding his hand or fingers across his head. All the scalp grey was gone. The head shiny. Afterwards he applied Australian Emu oil and I felt his head and never with a cut throat razor has left his head this good.

Exactly the same for his face, difference here a dry shave was just as good as a wet shave on the skin. I will mention doing a wet shave does have more precision, more smoother, and hair doesn’t grow as quick as the dry shaver does.

The five blades does make a huge difference to be honest.

So now comes my conclusion for us ladies, we don’t want to be left out right?

I do have facial hair, I have a mole that spurts hair, my top lip and chin.. I usually use a high market official razor and change blades. I have the egg shape razor for top lip, but I did try this razor.

So in for a penny and a pound, I tried this shaver myself as a woman.

I used the shaver on my chin, dry only so far, and within a couple of seconds all gone, no soreness or irritation and removed all my hair stubble. I do have sensitive skin.

Went over my mole, all gone too.

I used dry underarm and again all gone in seconds

    Upper lip, all gone

Now the piece to resistance my long legs. I am 5ft 9″ and use my razor, I wondered if the razor would work. Baring in mind I did shave yesterday, so they only had a bit of stubble. I did try myself first with the dry razor, but not any difference really as very tiny bits of hair was present. Being disabled I struggle to do my legs unless in the bath. My husband usually does them for me to be honest.

I wet my legs with a sponge and my husband applied Gillette gel. Then he started to use the electric razor on my legs.it is best to try and keep taut the skin.

The results were really good, I applied the emu oil after showering off the gel. My legs even after waxing come up this good. So I recommend wet shaving the legs.

I did the same with my arms, except worked well dry.

This shaver with the Japanese five blades are excellent, 70,000 cross cutting actions per minute, that’s some going.

I have to say this electric razor is top class, and no way would I go back to cheaper variations now.

    So next the functions

Very simple to use, comes with a dock, a safety lid top, lovely shaver cover bag with zip, lots of info to read up on.

The push buttons either side towards the top of the razor, press both sides and clean in water, I dried with a thin micro fibre cloth, then air dried..

Oil comes to put a drop on each blade for lubricating the skin

Instructions comes in many different languages

The docking station needs to line up with the gold marks on the base and shaver, will lit up when charging. I leave mine on charge all the time on my bed side table, as I use it whilst watching TV. Charge lasts ages, ensure the plastic lid is fitted if taking it for the day for protection.

The shaver is very lightweight to hold

To turn on charge first, then on the front of the shaver is the on/ off button, very quick at charging, and even a few minutes of charging can give you a quick shave, no need to wait hours. Best to keep this device charged up all the time.

The head of the shaver is the best part, it contours the face and moves around as in up and down, side to side.

This razor can be used in the shower or bath, and at the sink.

I like that the shaver recognises mine and my husbands face and body, so with shaving this will get better and better through time.

Incorporated into the specialised system this shaver uses the world’s strongest magnets for the smooth look.

No need to worry about blades getting blunt with usage, the inner blades are nano sharpened to just 30 degrees.

Do not emerge in really hot water

    Coated with titanium

    Very gentle on the skin

So to the price, well I have had several wet and dry shavers in my time and paid around 129. They were acceptable but this Panasonic is in a different league of its own.

The current price at my review 233.28, no vouchers to bring the price down currently. For this price you do get what you pay for. This is a top notch shaver, I cannot see anyone not liking it to be honest.

Cleaning is essential and this machine can self clean itself, but I prefer to clean myself

I personally think electric razors should be unisex, in fact the whole family can use this electric razor. Easy to clean in between family, so no germs to family members.

On the dock has several functions to include
Status, low, clean, dry and select.

    Conclusion

    Well worth the money

    Top end razor

    * Does not come with a cleaner brush surprisingly *

Ladies can use as well, amazing results

Works very well dry and wet shave

    Easy to clean

    Brilliant charging dock

Super smooth, lasts ages before having to recharge

Because of the long charge, great for mini breaks, camping, carry in the hold-all. Good for gigs or anywhere outside..

    Free prime delivery

    I highly recommended 100%

Thank you to the seller, excellent product

I hope my review helps you

I normally buy Braun razors but on this occasion I thought I would give the Panasonic a go. So glad I did, it’s a superb razor giving a nice close shave and also being kind to the skin A bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Hopefully it will last a few years.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI did a lot of research before buying this and I’m glad I opted for the Panasonic shaver. I’ve seen a few complaints that it doesn’t shave longer hairs. If you use the trimmer over these it works fine and I am able to achieve a super smooth shave in around 4 minutes.

Better to use it every couple of days as the hairs don’t grow to the extent where you need to use the trimmer, but even so this is by far the best shaver I have owned.

The cleaning device is excellent and means you don’t have to oil it every few uses.

I would definitely recommend this shaver, wholeheartedly.

Great kit. Very close and smooth shave. The tricky area underneath the back of the jaw needs a few passes, but this is a problem area for all shavers. Works well dry or with a thin layer of foam. Very efficient cleaning unit. Would definitely buy again. 5*. Unsponsored opinion.

When I decided to upgrade my Panasonic ES-LV95 I tried a Philips 9000 which was awful. I then tried a Braun Series 9 which was disappointing. Both where 200+ shavers and then I saw the Panasonic ES-LV9Q and I am glad I did as it’s great. I like to shave to in the shower with shave gel and this works great for me. Easy to use, easy to clean and nice close shave.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have been using a Phillips series 9000 for three years. I was never 100% happy with it, ok for a quick rushed shave but it was never a close shave and I never got used to the “circular motion” way of shaving. I bought the Braun series 9 first, it was comfortable, closer than the Phillips, but it wasn’t close enough for me and I didn’t like the fact that the cleaning station is necessary because the blades are not accessible to manually clean. So after a few shaves you have to use the station, this makes it difficult to clean while away, and the station uses alcohol in the cartridges, that will evaporate over time, and it’s expensive to replace.
The Panasonic fixes all the above problems.
It gives the closest shave I’ve ever had from a electric shaver, it’s a little bit more aggressive shave than the Braun, but for me that’s not a problem. It feels better made than the Braun, the trimmer is better. The cleaning station uses a detergent mixed with water so it won’t evaporate and it’s cheaper, best of all it’s not necessary as the Panasonic cleaning can be done totally manually, you can get to the blades to clean them and it has a manual cleaning mode. The cleaning station also has a drying only mode so it can be dried after a manual clean without using the detergent.
The case for the Panasonic shaver is cheap rubbish, a real let down for this price, I had to buy a better travel case.
In the research that I did, the Braun is a better choice if you have sensitive skin or have a tightly curled beard as the Braun is better at lifting the hairs before cutting them.
If you don’t need the Braun get one of the Panasonic 5 bladed shavers. You won’t regret it.

About nine months ago I decided to upgrade my shaving arrangements and bought an excellent manual razor and shaving soap. I was very impressed with the smoothness of the results – except for the cuts. I though that, as I got used to it, I would avoid the cuts. It did get better but the occasional cuts became unbearable. So, I looked for a battery operated razor which could be used with (or without) shaving soap. This Panasonic was by FAR the most expensive BUT I did seem to extremely good cutting mechanisms. So, despite the price I bought one. It does not produce a better outcome as a traditional wet shave BUT it certainly as good and without any cuts. I would now say that the price reflects its true value. I have had inferior electrical razors in the past and can attest that the outcome of their use was commensurate with their lower price. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAfter a lifetime of wet shaving with razors, and only a few instances of (usually battery) electric razors by Braun – I decided to go electric – and took the plunge with this after a friend recommended Panasonic.
I am quite frankly amazed at just how good this razor is – even on tough stubble.
It’s really fast, getting much of what’s needed on the first or second pass. A quick tidy of anything left – and I’d be surprised if a regular quick dry shave takes more than 3 or 4 minutes. 6 to 8 minutes if you use it with foam or gel for a better shave and a couple of those minutes will be rinsing it out and getting the worst off before cleaning it in the docking station afterwards .
It’s 99.999% as close as a wet shave – dry, and perhaps as good if you use gel or foam.
It’s a keeper, and since purchasing this, I’ve not used a razor. The cleaning station buzzes quite noisily when it fires up the shaver heads at ultra-fast speeds to clean it all, but it does a great job of cleaning and freshening it up.
I use the cleaning station every other day – but do brush out the shaver first too. The cleaning solution lasts about 3 weeks, before I replace it, and seems fine with that.
If you want what I would consider the best electric shaver I have ever used – and one that’s close to a wet shave (with foam/gel and with care) – then get this Panasonic.
    I remain amazed….
    ** Update after 6 months **
I am still very happy indeed with this shaver.
There is a tin of foam/gel and a load of blades pretty much unused as a result.
Shave is quick, close and easy, even after a couple of days growth (now rare!).
I paid full price for this shaver, and have no association with Panasonic – so from an ordinary bloke – if you need an electric shaver – then I just suggest you don’t mess about – just get this one.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersThis is undoubtedly the best shaver I’ve ever owned. I’ve been using it for almost two months and my very favourable first impressions have not worn off. It provides a quicker and closer shave than I could achieve with other shavers. On my rather wiry hair a decent day-long shave takes around 4 minutes; 6 minutes gives a result as good as a blade. Before buying the Panasonic I was using two other top of the range shavers: a Braun series 9 and a Philips 9000 (for a time I used them on alternate weeks, for comparison). The Braun takes me twice as long to get a similar (though even then not quite as close) shave; the Philips even longer. A big factor for me is noise and the Panasonic is quiet – not as quiet as the Philips, but quieter than my Braun. Another reviewer had the opposite impression, so maybe it depends on other factors such as age, but for me this is the definitely the quieter of the two. I particularly like the cleaning/recharging dock which is smaller and neater than the others and, once again, seems quieter and quicker. The floating head takes a little getting used to – it’s more softly “floaty” than others. It can of course be locked leaving movement only in the foils, but after experimenting I settled on the unlocked position which, now I’m accustomed to it, I prefer. The closeness of the shave is remarkable but a warning: pressing too hard can result in slight skin irritation here and there – don’t be too vigorous until you get used to the shaver. With any electric shaver I have always achieved a better shave wet than dry, and for me the Panasonic is the same, though it performs an excellent dry shave as well. This is an expensive shaver, but in my opinion the performance justifies the premium price and I am fully satisfied with my choice.
