My wife has been using this (as a bloke, obviously I haven’t!) and is really pleased with it. It makes expressing easy, according to her, is relatively comfortable and small, and, most importantly for her, is very quiet, far more so than her previous pump. She’s very pleased with it.

My partner has been using the Philips Avent double electric breast pump for a while now and is very happy with it. Having struggled with breastfeeding, my partner has always expressed and at first, she found it hard to find a pump that worked for her. The pump is both comfortable and discreet which is exactly what you what from a breast pump. There are several stimulation and expression settings to suit personal preference which is great for a first time mum who is new to expressing as my partner was extremely sensitive at the start of her journey but has, over time, increased the settings to get more milk, in less time.

The pump itself looks great, it’s not bulky and so it’s great for taking it with you when out and about. The kit also includes two 4oz baby bottles, a travel bag, insulation pouch and disposable breast pads and so you really are good to go as soon as you’ve set the pump up, which, is very simple and straightforward!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a very, very good quality breast pump. It is more expensive than other pumps out there but, with things like these, paying that little bit extra always seems to make the difference, not only for the quality and feel of the product itself but for the comfort and ease of use it provides.
This is definitely made for moms that want something very compact, portable and easy to use. It is designed to be slim and quiet so that it can be used anywhere and the carry pouches are discreet and can be tucked away without them taking up too much space. The highlights of the product are the following:

    – Easy to put together: each piece fits is easily and smoothly.
    – Rechargeable battery via USB so can be charged anywhere (laptop, battery bank…)
    – Nice, discreet carry-bag and pouch.
    – Compact, quiet unit.
    – Remembers settings from last time (which adds to the ease of use, you don’t have to find the perfect settings every time).

All in all, it is an excellent product. I feel comfortable using it, it doesn’t feel like a hassle. It not big and bulky and loud or annoying. It’s comfortable and it turns something that seems time consuming and slightly annoying into an easy, comfortable experience. I would 100% recommend this.

I have previously used my Philip Avent manual breast pump so was very happy to test out this new Philips Avent electric breast pump. I have used it for about 3 weeks now and although I haven’t used it as much as I was planning on (thanks to the pandemic) but I love it.

You can use the pump in either single or double pump mode. But I have only really tested it as a double pump as it saves so much time. But it might come in handy if you are feeding baby on one side and pump on the other. The pump is very quiet and the suction is good although sometimes you can lose the suction (if you lean forward for example) you just have to readjust it when that happens. You can adjust the vacuum suction and cycle speed to what works best for you which makes expressing so much more comfortable. I have managed to express much more (and faster) than I would do when using my manual pump. The unit is rechargeable and the battery lasts for multiple sessions. You are not restricted to sitting next to a plug socket, so you can pump in the car if needed while travelling.
The kit includes full-sized 125ml bottles and loads of accessories. I’m so happy this includes a very handy and nice-looking padded travel bag, with pouch bag to protect your pump when out and about. I highly recommend this pump.

This pump was ordered as a gift for a close friend and the feedback I’m relaying is based on their experience using it for a month now:

The pump has been used for a month and I can really truly say it has made my life a lot easier in that time. The pump itself can be used as a double or a single which is handy, as sometimes double isn’t required. When using the pump you just need to select the level of suction needed and it remembers this the next time you use it which is a nice feature – sounds silly but when sleep deprived and tired the last tihing you want is more to do and more settings to mess with.

The pump is not completely silent but is not loud at all so you can use it and be on the phone or getting on with other things without feeling like the noise is taking over the room.

The pump itself isn’t daunting at all to set up and put together, I managed to do so without really having to look at any instructions and i was up and running in very little time at all. The pump isn’t uncomfortable when on, as long as it is positioned correctly. You will need to have a play about with the suction levels to find what suits you best.

There are a couple of bottles in the kit and a pouch type bag to stow it all in which is handy when taking it out of the house. I highly recommend this pump, it isn’t cheap but it makes you life so much easier.

This is an exceptional machine for pumping breast milk. I had a manual pump with previous children and that was so much harder to use. This one is automatic and so much more comfortable. Having the electric functioning pump also leaves my hands free to tend to my little one whilst expressing for future feeds. I like how you can use just one or both pumps together. This is a must have for working mums who still want to breastfeed or even stay at home mums who want to express to give themselves more freedom and get daddy involved in feeds.

This machine not only performs very well, it comes with an array of accessories. The quality of all items included in this set is very impressive and I particularly like the bottles with the lifelike teats. The storage bags are very handy and waterproof for ease of cleaning. Overall this is a fantastic machine set for mothers who want to express more milk as easily as possible. It doesn’t get easier than this.

I hope you find this helpful.

Expressing milk doesn't get easier than this

Phillips is a well-known and well used multinational brand with a very good reputation. Avent is part of the Philips baby product range within the wider Philips range. We have used Phillips products for years and given their track record and reputation we typically would recommend Phillips products as long as it’s up to scratch.

this is very easy to assemble for use and Phillips provide a very intuitive video to watch should you have any issues

there are potential pros and cons of the double pump over the single breast pump so it’s worth paying attention to see if any particular feature is more important to you and this might sway your decision on which to opt for. The key difference might be the fact that the double pump is corded use only. You might find us a little restrictive but the unit is small and convenient so either option is portable and flexible.

everything in this it is easy to clean and or sterilise

we did have some concerns over the one size fits all breast pad, but this is comfortable and should be suitable for all.

we like to travel bag which is large enough for the whole unit and a few extras and it’s definitely is an added bonus!

We recommend this double breast pump. Trusted brand, well designed, well manufactured and most importantly convenient and easy to use

Best breast pump we’ve ever had

    Here’s my breakdown:
    Good suction
    Works really well
    Comfortable
    Good quality bottles
    Easy to use
    Easy to clean

    Noisy

    In summary
Honestly, if it was on offer for less than 200 I think it’s an absolute bargain, otherwise it might be worth getting something slightly cheape

The price of this bundle is a little bit high, I know, but you will get what you pay for. Avent is a well know brand, part of the baby product family made by Philips. For me this is the most trusted make for baby I use so many other Avent products such like steam steriliser and Avent baby bottles This one arrived in a medium box with all components in it wrapped in plastic for hygienic purpose but I would still recommend to sterilise them before the first use and of course before every use. Got all the parts out and put it together with no issues in just a few minutes. The actual electric part of this breast pump is powered with a built-in rechargeable battery. Unfortunately, I’ve didn’t find any information about the capacity of the battery but it gives you a good 30-40 minutes running time. It can be recharged with a standard micros USB cable even from a laptop, power bank or with your phone charger or basically from any USB power source. This was very important for me as I needed something very portable. The bag and the pouch which comes in the package is a great extra, is has a very neutral grey colour, nobody can tell it as a breast pump in it, so discreet. You know what make this pump even more discreet? The Slim design of the main unit, not bigger than an average sized power bank however it’s effective and gives me plenty of setting level for maximise the effectiveness while the motor remains absolutely quiet. I can Use this in the same room where my baby is sleeping, she is not disturbed by the noise. It has 8 stimulation and 16 expression levels. I love the memory function, automatically remembers my last settings, so all I need to do is sit down and press start. It also featured with a pause button but to be honest I never used it. Comes with two 120ml bottle with two silicon cup and two disposable breast pads. The small bottle it also can be an advantage, it makes this pump portable, can easily fits in the changing bag. The silicon cup is very soft, super comfy and don’t make in uncomfortable while pump. If you need more bottles or disposable breast pads, they are available here on amazon or on Philips Avent website. Overall, it’s a great breast pump, it worth to pay a bit more for the quality. If you don’t want to pay this much but you looking for this quality buy the version with single cup instead of this double.

This is my review for the Avent Double Electric Breast Pump from Phillips. At the time of writing this review, it was priced at 239.99 on Amazon.
This breast pump aims to provide quick, easy and comfortable expressing of milk from one, or both breasts at the same time.
The cushions on the suction pads stimulate the nipple and there are various settings for adjusting the suction and stimulation that help to emulate the natural feeling of breast feeding, improving the efficiency of extracting the milk. They are in fact extremely comfortable to use and they fit really well using the one size fits all cup. Once you’ve found a setting that suits your need, the unit will remember and go into that mode each time its used which is a useful feature.
The pump has plenty of power to do its job, without making it too loud for use on the go, and there’s no need to sit forward when expressing, it can do it while sitting back too.
Everything that’s needed is included in the box, along with two bottles. All its all really easy to assemble, dismantle and clean and thorough instructions are included.
Great product from a top brand, yes its quite expensive, but the comfort improvements over my old one are justification enough for the price.

The Philips Avent Double Electric Breast Pump set includes Philips AVENT Natural bottles and teats for natural latch on; the expression kits; a pump motor unit; a travel bag; an insulation pouch; sealing discs and disposable breast pads. The pump set is straightforward to use and the compact design allows it to be transported around. When switched on, the pump automatically starts in a gentle stimulation mode to get your milk flowing. Then choose from 3 settings to make milk flow in the way that is most comfortable for you.

The Double Electric Breast Pump is ideal if you don’t have much time to express the milk quickly. The attachments are pretty easy to clean after and I have put them in the dishwasher after every use. One of the best features about this set is the unique design allows you to sit in a more comfortable expressing position.

The only disadvantages are that to use, you have to be sitting near a power point, it would be great if it could also be used with batteries. It felt a little complex putting all the bits and pieces together at first but becomes easier after a few times. Overall, it’s a fantastic bit of kit, the carry bag is convenient.

A well know brand with a brilliant reputation especially when it comes to baby care.
The pump itself is comfortable and has 8 stimulation modes. The stimulation mode is very effective to help bring on let down to make pumping the most effective. I feel other pump systems usually lack this part. It then has 16 expression levels which is purely user preference. Some people are more reactive to stronger/lighter suction settings etc.
The unit is rechargeable and lasts a good few pumping sessions before it needs juiced back up via usb. Brilliant for making the unit mobile and not restricted by it being plugged in. It can also be used when its plugged in charging. Uses a standard uk plug. Usb may have been a little easier to allow powerbank charging in emergencies.
Also worth noting that although its a double pump it can be used one side at a time.
Its very easy to set up which males it just as easy to clean and comes with 2 bottles. These bottles for great with a good seal and twist onto the threads easily and smoothly.
The set comes with a handy travel bag which is a large satchel. Great for putting everything in plus fits more baby supplies as plenty room.
After using many pump systems including some hospital grade ones when my son was very small i can say this set is just as good so price is justified. Would have liked a couple more extras to make it a little bit more cost effective such as some more breast pads or milk freezing bags would have been a nice extra.
Overall a really excellent device for someone on their breastfeeding journey.

Excellent value and just as good as hospital grade

The package comes with clear instructions, and the pieces are very easy to assemble. The build quality is excellent just as you would expect from Philips.

The pump can be used as a single (ideal for expressing every now and then) or double pump (ideal for regular expression; draws milk from both breasts simultaneously). Very easy to sterilise and clean.

The breast pad is really comfortable – one of the most comfortable I’ve tried. It’s a one-size-fits-all pad that flexes to fit comfortably around the breasts, and I had no issues with it being too loose or too tight, or any milk leakage – it would most likely be suitable for large as well as small breast sizes because of how flexible the pad is.

The pump is designed in a way where the expressed milk flows directly into the bottle, so you don’t have to lean forward while seated as you do with many other pumps. This, alone, has saved me so much back pain!

There are three expression settings (with varying suction strength) to suit different needs. The first is quite gentl – new mothers who find breastfeeding a little painful at first may appreciate this feature most. The second and third settings can be comfortable for regular expression depending on your preference.

The pump is very lightweight, compact, and portable; it’s not as large as other pumps. While it’s discreet when carrying around, it’s not discreet when in use. Also, the pump is a little noisy – especially when used as a single pump. However, the excellent functionality certainly outweighs the subtlety and noise level for me as I hardly ever pump outside – especially in these times – and the noise level is not a bother.

Overall, excellent value for money – just what any breastfeeding mother needs. Would highly recommend!

This breast pump is nice and comfortable. It feels gentle in use, not painful like some can be. There’s a good variety of settings which makes it nice and adaptable to individual needs, so it should be quite suitable for most. Just take a little time to experiment and find the best setting and positioning for your own comfort. The clever design has cushions which adapt to the breast size so is nicely fitted when you express the milk, with no leaking (so far). You can regulate the flow, and the memory program on the pump will remember your last settings, which is a neat feature. There are 16 expression levels and 8 stimulation levels; good suction. The pump comes with a nice bag, making it easy to pack the pump away when it’s not being used, and also for taking it out with you. It’s not too noisy, so it can be used quite discretely. It’s easy to set up, operate and use, and easy to clean, coming apart nicely to do so. The instructions are good. Not at all cheap, but worth it.
