Finally this has been updated and it’s much better than before. Nasel hair is safely removed close to the skin. Cleans very effectively too. Much better than two other recent purchases which have gone in the bin.
However, a couple of things could be better. It does not come with a rechargeable option nor a protective cap for the head — two features I’d love to see in future versions. Keeping an eye on battery life can be a bit tiresome as it doesn’t come with a cable. Despite these few shortcomings, it’s a solid piece of kit for under a tenner. Certainly worth the buy!”
I’ve had one for about 5 years and it is perfect for trimming nose hairs.
Unfortunately, it fell out of the bathroom cabinet and broke. But it’s so good that I didn’t bother looking for an alternative brand. My wife has just ordered me a new one through her account.
I have had a few of these over the years but this model is by far the best. Trimming nose and ear hair is REALLY easy and fast. Highly recommended!
I initially thought this was an upgraded version of my older nose trimmer, but later discovered it was just a different brand. My old Phillips nose hair trimmer still works after many years. As for this Remington one I found that it cuts slightly better but also slightly cut into your nose, as I had a slightly sore nose afterwards.
The Remington is very easy to use and clean and SO quiet . . Very refreshing to buy something very simple and inexpensive that is excellent quality AND reliable AND work superbly. .

Bought as a direct replacement for the same model, Good for men of a certain age who are getting hairs growing from ears and nose, also tames unruly eyebrows with the grading attachment, no fear of slipping and taking off an eyebrow.
Battery life is good, and takes an AA battery.
My first one broke so I have struggled to find a suitable replacement . Three goes latter this does the trick . Not complicated just easy to use and does the job for me.
There is a small issue with the bottom cap used to turn it on and off, when you accidentaly move it in the wrong direction and open it and the battery just falls out. Make sure you push towards the top when turning it on and this will not happen.
Excellent value for money otherwise.

This is a good product which does what it’s designed to do, at a really low price (compared to an electric shaver for example).
I have never used it in a shower or bath, simply because it’s easier to be in front of a clear mirror so you can see what you’re doing, though it claims to be shower-proof.
It takes a single AA battery and when the power begins to fade, the performance of the motor slows down gradually rather than stops suddenly.
This is a nice effective personal hair trimmer with comb. It quickly trims the hair away and it safe to use pretty much everywhere.
The lever to allow you to move the blade is a great addition this one has over my previous model and makes cleaning a doddle.

This is the best type of nasal clipper. Gets to where it needs to be and cheap enough.
Bought and returned the Philips Series NT3650 because it dos not cut hair. Tried this Remington out and BOOM! hair nicely cut, all in two swipe. The Philips made me go back and forth for ages. This nailed it in two swipes.

Remington products have always proved to be a good buy for me and I hope this’ll be the same.
Reviews for other brands highlighted their thick blade guards stopping you from achieving a close trim. This “mini hedge trimmer” blade gives me the closest nose and ear trim I’ve ever had and just that is enough to do everything I need this for.
The other cap tool is good for a general tidy-up where you can’t see what you’re doing. I did think the eyebrow combs were daft but tried one out of curiosity. From now on my eyebrows will be trim!
Decent quality re-chargeable electricals usually fail just because the fitted internal battery eventually dies, so I like the fact that this uses an external battery. Get yourself a smart battery charger and some rechargeable batteries and this “should” last for many years. Better for the planet too.
I’ve knocked it a star because, as others have noted, the on/off control is the battery cap. Twist it too far when switching on and the cap will come off. A stupid money saving design which is a design flaw.
Other than that, if it lasts as well as my other Remington electricals, I’ll be very happy with it.
It a brilliant product for me. Does what it supposed to do
I have a problem with hair growing at the start of my ear canal & just outside, this is the only device I have bought that is capable of getting into that area & effectively cutting back the hair! My previous similar model lasted a few years before the cutting head mechanisim disintergrated.
This time around, I decided not to fuss over reviews too much or to spend a lot on a ‘better’ model. The reviews are always mixed for these kind of devices as there is a lot of personal taste involved.
I got these out, fitted the short eyebrow guide and went at em like a middle aged man using hedge trimmers for the first time.
My first reaction was that they were better than my last set ever were – and that was within seconds of starting. There was a lot of offcuts in the sink basin which was a good sign.
Then off with the guard in into the ear and nose with the ‘naked’ blade. This has a seemingly well thought out twin sided design and once again, it dealt with the offending hair with ease.
When it comes to cleaning, the blades open up like a crocodile clip so it is really easy to clean all round them – a great design.
Obviously, this can’t be a long term review of reliability but my view is that I paid a bit more last time and that was a waste of money. This time, for under a tenner, I am happy these do their primary job. I’m not too worried about long term reliability for that price.
At this moment in time, I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended.
