Remington in my experience are the go to brand for beard trimmer, having used a variety of beard trimmers over the last 15 years the best ones I have owned have been Remingtons. This is my latest trimmer after my old one died after many years of use. I am very impressed and would recommend this product.

Initially I had a little difficulty in using this device and that was simply down to being unfamiliar with the features. The main plus is that a single comb is adjustable to cater for all the lengths that most users will require from .04 mm to circa 15mm. I use 4 different settings on my Goatee for example: .04 for the neck below, 7 for the lower edge of the beard , 12 for the main beard and 2.4 for the cheeks. All 4 settings are set into the “Profile” 4 is the maximum number of settings. I am now in the routine of beginning a shave/ trim session on the .04 and then working upwards through the various settings to the highest I use at 12. This will save the battery naturally as it minimises unnecessary adjustments of up down and back up again etc. The battery lasts really well in any case and charges quite quickly. ( Don’t ask me specific times because I haven’t timed anything) The whole package stores away in a small pouch for travel.

I’ve had a beard for 15 years and so seem to have worked my way through half a dozen or so of these, but this is definitely one of the best. The operating screen and functionality is excellent, and a key feature is the fact you can’t accidently shorten the trim length (this has happened with other models to disastrous effect).

Trim is consistent, blades are sharp and I still haven’t needed to charge. Very pleased

I use this to shave head to a very short level .4mm and found this product excellent. Easy to use and long battery life. I cannot comment on it’s use as a beard trimmer but if like me you are challenged in the hair department and wish to keep head shaved very short would highly recommend this product.

Bought during lockdown to aid in cutting my boyfriends hair as he needs it short for his hearing aid to function. Works an absolute treat, near enough barber quality. Would say the hair was a little bit difficult to get out and clean and do have to take the guard off alot to get hair out. The different settings on it give a precise cut (goes up in .1 example you can set it to 2.4) so its makes it really easy to blend with this diversity of lengths.

I have had several hair/ beard trimmers, of different makes and prices. Although I haven’t had this very long, it is very easy to use, and appears solid, and very well made. I particularly like the electronic combe adjustments, which automatically sets the combe height when shaver is turned on. Battery seems to be extremely good, as it’s lithium ion. Overall very pleased with trimmer. Great value for money.

COVID brought with it a beard, but one I wanted to keep trimmed. This was my first foray into electric razors for many years having been a wet shaver for most of my life. This is a great tool (used alongside a wet shaver for the bits of the face you want smooth). It gives an accurate and comfortable cut and the setting is easy to adjust for length. Cleaning is OK (it was never going to be 5/5) and it runs for a long period on one charge. I strongly recommend it.

Why would you want one of the others with multiple attachments for different lengths? This just has a single comb and you adjust the cutting length by raising or lowering the blades within it in 0.1 mm increments. Super convenient. The other nice thing is that you don’t even have to turn it on and off. It senses when you lay it down or pick it up and it reacts accordingly.

Otherwise, it just works.

I bought it because it’s USB and I wanted to use it to cut both my facial hair and top of the head hair. Not as convenient for my top of the head hair as normal hair clippers designed for that purpose, but it does work when I can’t find the charger for my other hair clippers. For facial hair it works very well and is convenient to use and charge

Covid 19 Lockdown made me want to do something different … so I grew a beard. I was happy with it for a few weeks but then it got straggly. So I wanted to buy a trimmer that was simple and effective. I asked my mate (who is a barber) what I should go for and he recommended either Wahl or Remington. As this Remington MB4700 has an automated trim length adjustment, I preferred that as it meant I don’t have to store loads of adapters. And the result?? Well, put it like this. My wife hates beards … and after a trim? She confessed it almost looked handsome!! I’ll take that!

Hair trimmer this isn’t.

That said even though this feels more bulky in my hand than my BabylissforMen 7in1 trimmer, (mainly due to the tech inside), this is one of the best beard trimmers/shavers I’ve ever used. It’s brilliant for early morning trims (especially if you can’t remember what setting you need, it remembers the last 4 you used).
The digital display clearly shows power level and mm setting for cutting height (0.4 to 18.0 in 0.1mm increments). Power charging is easy by use of 3pin plug or USB cable (both supplied). It’s square head is a little cumbersome and takes some getting used to but it trims my beard nicely, (I’m not going to say perfectly as I honestly don’t think there is anything out there that will do a 100% perfect cut every time).

It has a good charge rate, not the quickest on the market but not the slowest either. It’s cutting head can be cleaned under running water.

Overall, I would recommend it for beard trimming as this (when bought at 50.00) is definitely a value for money beard trimmer.

As a lockdown project, I decided to grow a beard. Guess many of us are.
This trimmer does a great job keeping my beard tidy. The trimming is smooth with no discomfort whatsoever. The motor seems very strong and speeds up if it is cutting thicker/denser hair.
It has all the adjustments you could want, looks the part and battery lasts for ages.
Charges quickly with a mini usb cable.
Definitely worth the price if you fancy something a bit more advanced and pretty

Review written taking into account this is a 50 trimmer; not a 250 item.

For the price, this is a good bit of kit – thick bushy beard or tight to the face, it’s done a pretty good job. The digital controls I quite like, makes everything easy and simple day2day.

Battery seems to last well and easy to clean. At this price range, I think it’s good value and Remington are known for good quality trimmers.

I’m not much of a review writer but I wanted to leave a review here as in a Coronavrus environment, want to support companies as much as I can in what little way I can with their products where I bought and liked them. This is one of them.
