This has the British Safety Standards numbers on and date of manufacture so you know when it needs replacing.
The cover is a nice plush fabric so the hot water bottle doesn’t feel too hot against the skin. Standard size water bottle and does the job intended.
The hot water bottle with a lovely cover in grey faux fur arrived very promptly. It will be very useful for heating my bed or for heat treatment on aches and pains and I am very pleased with it.
Omg I love this snuggly hot water bottle and cover… my st bernard dog layed on my other one a few days ago and it popped under his weight… lol…

Within mere DAYS the pom poms fell off. However, if you’re not buying this particularly for the poms themselves, it’s a stellar hot water bottle. Stays hot for hours and hours – great solution to not wanting to put my heating on at night. I live for hot water bottles now.
After I have seen some reviews of people saying the bottle melted or exploded, I checked the bottle and it does say indeed “DO NOT USE BOILED WATER” , so basically do not use it boiling hot, just very hot . So thats what we did , we put the kettle on, left it to be hot but not yet boiling, to 1.5 l I added 500 ml of cold water . Not sure I’ve ever seen a gender specific hot water bottle! Decent quality bottle to replace one I bought 4 years ago and has now seen it’s leaky demise. I’ll diary a replacement next winter.
I got this for my partner as she was having cramps and she loves it! It really really helps her. If you put hot enough water – it actually retains heat for hours – i am not sure what other people are complaining about on here. It’s pretty serious stuff! Just make sure you don’t put boiling boiling water – but even if you do – it’s still oke. I’ve tried it. Highly recommend!
The hot water bottle itself is good, esp. as it’s made of rubber. The cover is less good, in that the hanging hook came apart and the pom poms fell off within hours of using it! Now that I have sewn them on property it’s fine!
I love it, it is so soft.
Had to cut the pom-poms though, it was the only thing winding me up
Apart from this painless snip, the water bottle is great.
I had to remove the fur in order to get warm when I needed to use it. Not sure where the material of the fur prevents it but from my experience with this one it seems like I paid extra for less warmth.
UPDATE: I have been using it for a few weeks and have noticed an increasing amount of pilling and shedding from the cover every day to the point I have to vacuum the bed every day so have removed a star because of that.
UPDATE: The shedding from the cover has got so bad I’ve binned it and replaced it. Something to be aware of.
