I have used the Ryobi drill for about a year and find it durable, with a good feel to the hand and the batteries hold a charge very well and recharge quickly. My only complaint is the auto chuck sometimes loosens when drilling. And it would be helpful to have a magnet on the base for screws, bits, etc. like their older models had. I have been using Ryobi tools for over 20 years and find them to be reliable and sturdy, despite what the Milwaukee guys say.

This purchase was made to accompany a Riobi drill and it does not disappoint.

I use this for home DIY projects and it has all the power I need and probably more. I was amazed how good it was and I really should have bought one years ago as it makes life much easier.
Equally, having a separate drill and driver is much more useful.

Not had any battery issues but then I don’t use them in quite the same way as professionals would do so I would say these are great products for home users who want something better than those lower cost unknown brands and more affordable that the more top of the line tools that are designed for heavier, long term use.

Great for screwing long screws into wood , very powerful ,but impact drivers (this model ) are not used for drilling anything for technical reasons . So your drill bits won’t fit . 1 star deducted for not making this clear .

The first thing you notice is that the tool feels very solid and very well made. I bought it to use while building a deck, about 5m x 5m, and knew I’d have several hundred screws to screw in. It’s been invaluable. I already had two other Ryobi tools and a 6.5Ah battery so I only needed the bare tool. The trigger is, perhaps, a little fierce but with a bit of practice you can control the speed. When it goes into impact mode you have to be careful as it really rams home the screws. Highly recommended.

Superb impact driver, put in over 1200 screws in a week as building a shed, some of them were 4in tech screws, wound them in so easy,
    Highly recommend ryobi

Recently purchased one of these to assist with putting coach bolts/screws into a new sleeper retaining wall we’re building. Absolutely nailed it. I have a large number of Ryobi tools, and this is up there with the best of them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this last week and used it to put up a fence and build a stud wall. For the stud wall, in particular, it was just brilliant. I could drive the 80mm screws directly into the wood I was using (2″ x 4″ planed timber) with no issues at all. It’s very quick, and very powerful. I went through about 250 screws doing a 5.2m wall and it only used one bar of my 5.0ah battery. It did go through 3 drill bit heads, but I don’t think that’s avoidable when you’re driving screws in with force. It seems happy to accept non-RYOBI drill bits, as you would expect. I’m really glad I bought this tool as it made this job so much easier and quicker. For the DIY user, I think it’s a great choice.

Only downside is it doesn’t have a belt clip, but hey ho.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAmazing Impact driver. Using it with the 5 amp battery and it lasts forever. The drill itself is light and very easy to use. I only use the 1 speed though, the other 2 speeds i’ll probably never use but its good to have it just in case.

A fantastic cordless screwdriver with three speeds and a brushless motor with work 40% longer than the basic model is worth every penny maybe a bit more expensive than the basic model which is a fantastic product I have bought many cordless tools from this company either on Amazon or food shops all you have to do is to make sure that you’ve got plenty enough batteries to run them all Fantastic 4 using 4 screws nuts or bolts to remove them or to fit them in comes with a built-in light at the front of it so you can always guide the machine to its rightful place

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGute Matrialanmutung und bestens ausbalanciert.
Daher 4 Sterne !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m a sucker for Ryobi tools…. so I thought, how have I made it this far in life, without owning an Impact Driver?!
Already have a few of the 4Ah batteries.
So far, it’s completed every task I’ve thrown at it. Plus the little magnetic plate has come in handy a few times!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve only ever had drills before but wish I’d tried an impact driver a long time ago now. There is no comparison with a drill. Screwing panels is so much easier now. The three different settings are great for different materials. In my case I use a lot of mdf, plywood and oak and the setting are perfect. The speed is so simple to control. I can’t compare with other impact drivers as this is my first but I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this or buy another one myself.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhy would I buy an impact driver when my drill/driver does the job perfectly. I thought there were no point until I tried one. They definitely don’t have same purpose. Impact driver will screw into tough materials a lot easier. I use it on 2 most of the time, 3 is very fast. It only comes with one impact rated bit PZ2 and a 1/2in wrench. Also a dedicated tool for driving screws is handy, as it’s saves from changing bits repeatedly with the drill. Happy with my purchase.

When I needed to buy an Impact driver Ryobi was top of the list as I already had the batteries 🙂 So far it’s made light work of decking for the garden.
My one grumble would be why doesn’t it come with a belt clip ?

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHad an old Ryobi Impact drill (11 years) but thought It was about time I got a new one. So I got this one, which was better than my old one. With 3 torque settings it is much easier to control. Would recommend one without hesitation.
