About Us

“What do you think about going into die casting?”

It was September 1943 when this proposition was brought to Ryobi founder Yutaka Urakami.

The proposal came from the manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s Fukuyama Works in Hiroshima . Yutaka, then operating a small trading company, was no technician and, with no knowledge of die casting, had to ask “What’s die casting?” The manager explained and Yutaka immediately set to work reading about the process, learning about it from scratch.

After this momentous conversation and careful consideration, his reply to the manager was decisive: “I’ll do it.” This decision came just one week after Yutaka heard the term “die casting” for the very first time.

If your expecting something the equivalent to a mains pressure washer then you will be disappointed, however I use it for cleaning the car, garden furniture and it’s brilliant, I use the snow foam inductor which gets a really good foam cover.
    So pleased I bought i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is spot on for motorcycles new and classic because its not too powerful so it won’t blast water in to bearing and open wiring and if you have a water butt it won’t cost a penny on your water bill if you use a large battery you can wash a car and a few bikes and still have charge in the battery

The unit is as with all Ryobi equipment I have it is of good design, well made, I quickly tried it out as soon as I got it and gave my works van a quick flash over and it work very well for me… Obviously not as powerful as a normal pressure washer but I do not have water tap to the front of the cottage but .. I have a large water butt so rain water is used this way.. Recommended and especially if you already have Ryobi gear!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis hand held pressure washer is top class.
I run a hose from the back of the house along the garden and round to the back of the garage.

I use the hose connected to a pressure washer, to wash my screens for screen printing.
The problem was the cold weather froze the hose during the snow a few months back.

This pressure washer was the ideal purchase as it can be used taking water from a bucket. But also from a hose too!

    Can’t go wrong with tha

I bought this because I wanted something to clean my electric bike safely. It’s great for removing grime and mud, but not so powerful as to remove paint or damage bearings etc.
Most mains pressure washers are too powerful, but this is just right. Portability is another bonus, drawing water from any source that the feed pipe filter will fit in.
I’m going to add the foam/soap bottle to my basket now I’ve had chance to test this out properly.

Easy to use and being portable enables me to wash caravan in storage yard also good quality add on for ryobi one plus range

Used this during the hosepipe ban as it can suck water from any source so a bucket of water is enough to wash off 2 mountain bikes after a muddy ride. took it away in the caravan to keep the bikes clean each day. It’s not super powerful but enough to get the mud off.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDislike price apart from that brilliant. used for cleaning wheele bins used on high setting and done the job nicely. I used a folding bucket 5lt topping up with 2liter jug ,battery Ryobi biggest 5amp. Also managed to clean off green algae from the windows. When I last cleaned bin’s & window’s it was a lot of effort and awkward due to the lack of space that was five years ago. Also great for car and motorcycle especially if you don’t have a drive. Downsides price and no foam detergent bottle attachment available for it. Ryobi battery pressure washer is very good for light duties and for those who can’t use a pressure washer due to no outdoor tap driveways limited plug sockets ect. Ryobi battery pressure washer very easy to setup and dismantle compared to a mains pressure washer which I have used from karcher to cheaper one’s. In fact this Ryobi is as good as those cheap ones on performance but way better made and lot easier to setup. I’ve used ones that cost the same as Ryobi excluding price of battery they had leaks, noisy and not as well made. Once you factor in the price of 5amp battery and charger now you in the 250 -80 bracket and if you can use a mains pressure washer I highly recommend the karcher pressure washer in 300 and above range. Ryobi battery pressure washer is well made a lot more substantial than those cheap ones up to the 200 just as powerful and easy to use.

Like the title says it’s a great tool and does the job perfectly. The only criticism I would have is the lance is very long, a smaller lance with the kit would be a great addition! I used mine a lot and for extended periods of time some times! Ended up burning out after a few months. Customer service was great! Couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating. Sent the broken one back for a full refund easily!

I am very happy with this purchase as I have several other interchangeable battery tools by Ryobi.
Idiot proof assembly and usage. This washer is great for windows, conservatories and cars and other items. One of the issues with mains powered pressure washers
is they tend to be too aggressive for window seals but this tool is absolutely ideal
For this purpose so gets a giant tick for that. For more aggressive jobs such as cleaning concrete and tarmac, you’ll need a more powerful mai s supported machine as this simply won’t cut it.
It does not fit onto mains water but has to be used with a container of water. I have used a 25 litre plastic jerry can which I’ve found to be best otherwise you are persistently refilling a bucket. It has a good filter and float system so won’t stuck up detritus from a natural water course if you use it perhaps for a bike wash in open country. I would estimate it uses 20 litres per 30 min on the highest setting but I found an 18 volt 5.0 ah battery will last for an hour on the highest pressure setting so better than manufacturers suggestion of 40 minutes. Very happy indeed with this gadget and would, highly recommend. Someone has said it is noisy on here but honestly, compared to a mains powered washer it is not!

Bought in june 21, Mostly to wash of the Road muck, salt of my bike/car/bycicle during winter periods and general vehicle cleaning all year round and it does that job perfectly fine, how ever you will still need to give things a pat down with a cloth to remove any stubborn dirt, and to remove, the dirt that still lingers when things have dryed. how ever if your someone who doesnt wash their car very often. its not very good and removing thick layers of dirt.

Also used this for cleaning the paved areas around the garden, though it does this some what well most of the time. it doesnt remove all the moss. and a mains power washer is still reccomended for that duty. how ever this is still good and washing down most furnature.

Overall a great machine to use but mainly for quickly and simply keeping on top of things before dirt/grime etc builds up and becomes stubbo

Easy to handle perfect for small jobs.
Does not compare to a mains power washer for power.
Good for washing the car can put car shampoo in a bucket and soak the car.
Will knock the mud off so you can use a sponge and not get it too dirty.
Quick to set up and use.

Easy put together washer, would get a 5star but the power cannot match my 10yr old basic power washer still which is a shame, also need to pay extra for a further bottle connector. Useful to have in the garage for quick use

Less faffing about than getting the proper pressure washer out to clean car. but don’t expect that power.
I bought the separate spray nozzles which also have a proper attachment that fits hozelock hose fitting as used to pop off occasionally before.

Feels like quality tool like all Ryobi tools with battery fitted it’s a bit heavy and the balance forcing the lance upwards you need both hands on to control jet direction.

I am glad I got this.

I bought it mainly to wash my bikes with but found that it is adequate to assist with washing the car too. Because it can run using a bucket of water (one 1&1/2 gallon bucket will wash the car (soaping and working at the grime and one to rinse) or you can (using the attachment – separate purchase) use a big 1 litre drinks bottle to wash bikes, etc.

Don’t expect to get all that grime off the patio slabs in seconds, you will have to work at it, but it will do it with perseverance.

This is another great addition to my Ryobi ki

I like this Ryobi EZ clean, I’m a big fan and regular user of the ryobi one+ tools. The thing to bear in mind tho is that this isn’t really a pressure washer. This is about as powerful as a decent garden hose with a spray attachment. The benefit is that you can use it where hoses cannot go. It comes with a long pipe that will suck up water from any suitable water source (bucket, water butt, pool etc) and if you buy the additional 2 litre bottle attachment (really should be included) you have a self contained, fully portable water sprayer! Which is pretty cool, and very handy! Good for rinsing the car, washing windows or watering the garden if your hose doesn’t reach. Lookout for the package deal including battery, when I got mine it worked out a lot cheaper.

Pressure is ok which as I’m using on motorbike and smaller items is ok but don’t expect it to knock the skin off your rice pudding. Battery charges fairly quickly and has decent life, hose is decent length for the reservoir, happy for the money as I don’t have an outside tap and I can take this with me if needed.

Expensive, considering it doesn’t include a battery and there is also a shortage of add on items. Despite many of the negative reviews, which mostly compare it to mains powered washers, I find it really useful. If you have no nearby power supply and no water supply then it is brilliant and infinitely better than no washer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFrom Ryobi 18v range comes without battery and charger. Although i have not used on my car yet it seems to have sufficient power to clean off light dust and dirt. I mainly use this around the garden to clean flower pots, trays and and soiled areas. Ideal for cleaning greenhouse and caked grass on lawn mowers and strimmers etc. I just use it with a bucket and the siphoning kit supplied. Plenty of light cleaning jobs.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersArrived on time, along with a ryobi fast charger for the batteries, got it out of the box pronto, easy to assemble instructions easy to follow, used it to clean both our cars, and the water drainage channel at the front of the house, it brought the dirt off effortlessly, so glad I got this, as usual another great tool from ryobi, it just uses quite a bit of water, so I’ve ordered 2 25ltre jerry cans from amazon so there’ll be enough water to complete any tasks around the house without too much filling up of water containers, I can’t recommend this product enough, thoughly delighted with it certainly recommended, and as usual a first class service from amazon don’t know what I’d do without amazon now.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersI bought this to clean the worst of the salt and general road crud off my motorbike during the winter.

I have a regular mains powered pressure washer, so why buy this then? Well here are my reasons, I already own Ryobi tools so have the batteries already. It’s much quicker to get this washer into action than dragging the garden hose out along with the pressure washer and then plugging it in, then putting it all away afterwards.

I can use this Ryobi washer with a bucket full of hot/warm tap water and that is sufficient to get the bike clean and using the warm water makes a real difference to just cold from the mains fed power washer and you shouldn’t really use anything too powerful on a bike anyway as you could do more harm than good. I spray the bike with Muc-Off bike cleaner first (which I also rate) then rinse with the Ryobi, 10-15mins job done.

I must say that I have and will possibly only use this washer to clean the bike as I will use the regular mains washer for all the other usual tasks due to the Ryobi obviously not being as powerful as mains, but then that should go without saying.

You could also use this remotely on say a touring caravan to get the worst of the driving dirt off when you get to site, a bucket of water, or maybe 2 for a caravan is all you need.

I do rate this washer, just don’t expect it to be as powerful as a mains one and you could be pleasantly surprised.
