SALOMON Women's Speedcross 5 W Trail Running

I am a women’s true size 8 in all sneakers/ boots/ shoes. For these I was a 7.5. I went to the company website and put in my normal size in New Balance, Fuel Cell’s 8 and they recommended a 7.5. Happy I did that.

I have been training for my first 35k and needed new trail shoes only 3 weeks out from race day. I tripped an abnormal amount in my Altras and feared going into race day with this known issue. I ordered these with only one long run left in my training plan before a taper and the big day, strapped them on, and hoped for the best. I took them for a 10-mile cruise on their first wear, and they felt fantastic. They fit true to size, with zero tripping, and the lace mechanism places even pressure on the top of the foot with no chance of coming loose.

On race day, my feet felt great. I finished my 22-mile run without any rubs, tripping, or soreness. Even though I was anxious about using something so essential and relatively new on race day, I have absolutely no regrets in hindsight. Highly recommend!

Excellent trail running shoes, also work well on a long hike if you don’t fancy wearing full boots. This is my second pair. They are durable, they look great and don’t take any breaking in. Love them.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. I have been looking for a well supported shoe I can walk in for over 2 years now. this is it!!! It has built in orthotics support so I do not need to put my orthotics in. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful light shoe, I usually wear size 8, but these shoes size 8 are too big, too long. Unfortunately returning them . That’s why 4 stars.

I did size up a half a size for thus brand of shoe and they are perfect!! So comfy

I saw these shoes in a store that were the current year model and cost double! Tried them on and they fit just like these ones. Love them! No need to have the latest and greatest of the previous year is awesome too!

Ho preso queste perch avevo le Speedcross 4 ,che x usura, dopo 3 anni di sport, ho ovviamente dovuto sostituire x correre. Mi spiace solo che nn abbiamo dei punti catarifrangenti come le Speedcross 4. Per il resto vanno bene. Salomon continua ad essere affidabile e indistruttibile.

I’ve purchased this type of shoe 3 times now – first had the Speedcross 4, then two Speedcross 5’s. They last about 3-4 yrs for me, on average the shoe holds up well, it’s the bottom treads that wear down before the shoe itself – I wish those were replaceable coz this shoe would last forever! I use these A LOT for trail running, hiking various terrains, and international travel /walking in all seasons… It’s the GOAT of hiking /trail shoes! I’ve tried Merrells, among other ‘reputable’ brands and they just don’t compare to the incredible traction and perfect fit I get from these – particularly the Speedcross version of Salomon. They hug my feet perfectly – no slipping in the toe box – where I feel in control of my foot placements. The lace garage and how quick they dry is another unique and welcome feature. I live in a cold winter climate in Minnesota and these somehow keep your feet pretty toasty, too, if you’re hiking/running (yes- even the non-gortex ones). Highly recommended.

I got her these for the first time a few/couple years back. Now, these are her absolute favorite. Her prior were Asics Quantum (?) or something Asics.

I try to make sure she has an extra pair of these because of how much she likes them.

She’s on her feet pretty much all day. Working with and around young kiddos. She says her feet do not have any aches nor any fatigue.

I know these are for running etc but they work great for just being on your feet. Save your feet. Get a pair.

Bought these for my gf. To me, her foot is about average width. With that she has mentioned great shoe, but after hiking 5 miles wishes the toe box area was a bit wider.
Great traction in loose dirt and mud, but not good for wet areas.

Au del de mes attentes tout est parfait pour faire des randonnes. Par contre chemin trop humide = chaussures mouilles quand mme… la taille de la chaussure chausse petit j’ai pris 38.5 au lieu de 38.

These came fast (prime). Excellent product. Have bought these before. Worn these everyday winter and summer. Always stay warm and dry. Will always get these. I have small feet and it’s hard to find good quality shoes with arch support in size 5. They also last and hold up to everything I wear them through. We’re active in the mountains all seasons and they’re so comfy in those conditions and in the city as well. Feet don’t get tired.

Item arrived a day late but product is as expected. Great shoe and great value for money overall.
