Third pair of these and like the previous two, comfortable straight out of the box. Look good and of course the lacing system save time.
This is the third pair of these I have purchased over the years.
My second pair wore out and I couldn’t find replacements. I tried a few pairs of other more fashionable products but really missed my old XA Pros as nothing was ever quite as comfortable. Two days before leaving on a walking holiday in Madeira I saw that Amazon had them in stock with Prime delivery. Many miles walked and feet very happy. Money well spent.
Likes:
Supremely comfortable, even over long distances. Breathability (no “hot foot” even in summer). Light weight. Unique lacing system. Grip (even on wet rock). Sizing (size 10 fits my size 10 feet perfectly).
Dislikes:
Even at the offer price they are expensive for what you are receiving (my Brasher leather walking shoes were less money). Poor durability (the mesh uppers wear through and the soles wear out very quickly).
Been buying these shoes for years, had a break for a couple of years as the quality seemed to have dropped but now they are great again.
First used on a country walk .
Like wearing slippers over fields . Grea
Grip is not great in wet weather, I have slipped over on concrete which is strange as I have used this brand for many years and never had this problem before.
The XA pros have been my shoe for almost everything for many years. It is not waterproof but this means it breathes very well. I have been told that I should wear a torsional stiff shoe and most are not or are heavy, so I where it as an everyday shoe. It also wear it for walking and have used it in this country and abroad. If it gets wet it dries quickly so usually a problem. Not good for walking in winter conditions or continuously wet terrain.
I have another pair which I have been using for years,I am confident these will last as long
This is my third pair of trainers from this company. They were reduced to 90 as opposed to 159.
I find them extremely comfortable to wear and like the fact they are sturdy and look good
My only niggle is the inner orthotic padding comes loose over a period of time which if not repositioned make wear uncomfortable
Overall I would recommend this trainer for the price
First class walking shoe. Very comfortable. Excellent value. Definitely recommend!
Very comfortable l dobt slip in these Love the colou
I use this product for walking in the countryside during the summer months and it is ideal for this purpose. The trainers are comfortable and my feet never get too hot.
Salomon shoes have an awesome quality, fit well and are comfortable. Durability excellent! Nothing to complain!
Like like like these are excellent. Really comfy, they are a little on the small side , recommend going up one HALF size. Well made and came really quickly. Easy on as well . You will not be disappointed with this purchase
These shoes are fantastic the only problem is that im a size 8 uk and when I explained the problem I was able to return them
with no problem at all. I will be buying another pair of size. 9s
Great running shoes. Personally I dislike the lacing system as it gets loose on occasion but overall they are well made, fit well. What’s not to like….!
Like the fit, although make sure you go for 1/2 size larger than normal.
Recent model seems flimsier than those of past years. Comfort as good as ever.
Like Salomon stuff, its always comfortable light and a good fit for me. No big deal but I found the sole a bit thin in some areas, ie I could feel stones and stuff, but otherwise its pretty good although as usual this brand charges the earth for the name , They charged nearly 80 but they don’t last much longer (roughly 800 to a 1000 miles) than stuff half their price, but you do get the speed laces which I am so used to now and am therefore clearly happy to pay for the convenience time and time again.
Pros: Comfortable; look great; good grip; easy speed lacing. Quality trail shoes at a good price.
Con: Definitely come up small (had to return the first pair I bought). I’m usually a UK9.5 (ASICS running shoes). A UK10 in these fit nicely for walking/scrambling but if I were to use these for running any sort of distance I’d likely need a UK10.5.
These are the fourth pair I’ve had over the last several years.
Always good, wear for “best” then for work once they’ve got a bit scuffed.
I ordered half a size bigger and they fitted perfect, I have had Salomon trainers befor and the actual size is too small. However not the most waterproof.
Great shoe, but then I knew it would be as this is the third pair of these that I have owned!
Not the shoe advertised (original advert labelled the product as GTX) and expected which was very misleading and annoying. The company did eventually agree to arrange return postage but managed to pass to someone else, who was happy with standard shoe.
Slightly too small. Look great and the lace up system is awesome. Bought for 70 but returned and would have ordered a half size up, but they were another 31. They’re good, but not 101 good!
