All positive. The set up was a bit clunky but more because a new Samsung account had to be created and it was a bit fiddly to do so.
    I totally recommend this TV.

Great quality picture, easy to Install and delivered when they said. Sound is good quality and it’s easy to navigate. Great to have buttons on the remote for the Apps. We really like it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis TV is a must for any household with children, game hub is awesome enabling my children to play games without a console. Picture and sound are amazing and set up was easy, all for under 500 Great value

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDidn’t leave anything for easy to assemble as I’m elderly & paid 65 for installation which was awful (see that review). But for someone who can do it themselves and have technical ability to navigate through 3 remotes (TV, Voice, Sky in my case) then this is a really lovely tv. Excellent sharp picture and many facilities such as lots of extra channels to view from Samsung. It has taken me time to come to grips with some things as installers did not explain anything but with patience I learnt and found the tv to be everything I would have wanted at this great price. I would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe TV has a good picture and sound with plenty of apps. It slows down a little at times when going from app to app at speed but not to the level that effects the use. I had an issue with the remote not charging and the seller provided fantastic service and resolved the issues immediately. I would highly recommend purchasing from this seller.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe TV arrived smashed, but I contacted the seller and they arranged for it to be picked up the next day and by the end of the week they had sent me a replacement, which works perfectly. The Samsung smart TV software is great and all the apps you need are available. It syncs to Spotify and easily connects to a Samsung sound bar for surround sound. Also, it’s ridiculously thin, so it looks great on a wall!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHas all the apps, easy to set up, good quality sound and screen. A bit slow but it might be related to network speed. Slower than my computer/phone (e.g takes a second to open Netflix)

We’ve only had the TV a few days, however early impressions are very good.
The clarity of the picture and vibrant colours are simply exceptional.
Now we realise how poor the picture quality was on out outgoing TV!

5.0 out of 5 stars Early days - but impressive so far!

Having retired our old Samsung after 15 fault free years we opted for another one. Easy to setup, excellent picture, fast response to apps and surprisingly good sound given how thin it is. Love the narrow bezel physically not much wider than our old 40″ and uses our old wall mount. I will let you know in 2038 how reliable it is!

Really good for a small family, picture quality is good, sounds a bit low so I use a external speaker.

I found the tv to be above n beyond what I had ordered. So much choice ,options to add other devices. Easy to navigate and install. Works with Alexa and have bought a Bluetooth game controller to play the free arcade style games. Have also add my xbox details. There is a web browser. Am honestly over the moon with the 65″ Samsung TV.
Am still exploring, added other free channels which are child friendly and educational. Perfect choice for anyone, good value, slim line, good amount of usb and hdmi ports.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing TV, so much to explore

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersLet’s start this review off with the positives. The screen quality of this TV is simply amazing. The UHD Crystal 4K display delivers vibrant colours, sharp details, and excellent contrast. Whether you’re watching movies, playing games, or streaming content, the visuals truly come to life on this large 55-inch screen. The size of the TV itself is also perfect, providing an immersive viewing experience.

In terms of pricing, the Samsung BU8000 offers good value for its features and specifications. It provides a solid 4K viewing experience at a competitive price point, making it an attractive option buyers.

Connectivity options on this TV are robust, allowing you to easily connect various external devices such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, or streaming devices. With multiple HDMI ports and USB ports, you can effortlessly expand your entertainment options and enjoy a seamless multimedia experience.

One standout feature of the BU8000 is its impressive processing capabilities. The TV’s processor can enhance the fluidity of content, even converting lower frame rate videos into smoother motion, converting content to a higher frame rate. This can be especially beneficial for content with lower frame rates, as it minimizes motion blur and provides a more enjoyable viewing experience.

Unfortunately, one major let-down of the BU8000 is its software. The TV’s operating system feels sluggish and tends to slow down significantly after just a few weeks of use. It’s frustrating to experience delays and unresponsiveness while navigating menus and switching between apps. This sluggishness is exacerbated by the presence of annoying ads on the home screen, which can be quite distracting and disrupt the overall user experience.

Another issue I encountered with this TV is occasional hang-ups and unresponsiveness, where the TV would freeze for a few minutes or fail to respond to remote commands. These glitches can be frustrating and disrupt your viewing or streaming sessions.

Regarding audio, the built-in speakers are decent, but they lack the depth and richness that many enthusiasts crave. I would highly recommend investing in a soundbar or external audio system to truly enhance your audio experience. While the speakers get the job done, they don’t quite match the exceptional visual quality of the screen.

On a positive note, the inclusion of a solar remote is a thoughtful addition. It allows you to charge the remote using solar power, reducing the need for frequent battery changes.

In summary, the Samsung 55 Inch BU8000 UHD Crystal 4K Smart TV offers an exceptional screen quality and a suitable size for immersive viewing. The pricing is competitive, and the connectivity options are plentiful. The processing capabilities are commendable, as it can enhance the fluidity of lower frame rate content. However, it is let down by the subpar software performance, sluggishness, intrusive ads, and occasional hang-ups. Along with that, there is MAJOR backlight bleed on black screens. While the built-in speakers are decent, investing in a soundbar is recommended for a more immersive audio experience.

    4.0 out of 5 stars It’s a Good TV However it's a Mixed Bag

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI’ll start this review by saying I know nothing about technology. So my review won’t cover all the technical details, but simply what I like and what I don’t.
After reviewing and comparing what seemed like 100s of TVs, and not understanding half the features and gumph in the details, I decided to stick with what the brand I know and a new released TV in the hopes it will last a few years. My previous Samsung was doing okay still, but it no longer supported ITV Hub/X and something had happened to the subtitles, which I heavily rely on, and I could no longer see.
So, how have I found it? Picture great – the picture is sharper than my old TV. Sound is good, sometimes needs changing between channels but I’m sure this can be sorted in settings. All the apps work as they should, and all the usual and most used apps are there.
The remote is a little on the small side for my fat fingers, but manageable. I’m still figuring out the solar remote.
As I said, I know little about technology, but I’ve seen a few people mention having to re-connect to the wifi. If my previous TV hadn’t been a Samsung I would have presumed the same. What you need to know, is that the wifi takes about a minute or two to work. On my old TV it would come up that the Hub was updating. On this TV, a message comes up saying Error and directs you to reconnect the wifi. This is not needed. If you wait, the wifi will connect and you won’t get the Error message. Even if you get the Error message, just be patient and it will connect.
For me, this is a great TV, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI wanted a good quality TV at a reasonable cost which was not too heavy so my wife and I could easily carry it up to our attic. This 50 in TV at 418 does the job. It has a great picture. After all the bad reviews about the sound quality I was pleased to find the sound was to my ears very good. I can also listen to it via Apple AirPods. The supplied remote is ok but a little fiddly. I use the TV with SKY Q which works fine except some of the features such as volume control do not work with SKY remote and so for example the Samsung remote must used for volume control.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThe Samsung 55-inch TV is a popular option for those looking for a large, high-quality TV. With a 4K Ultra HD display and HDR technology, images are crisp and clear, with deep blacks and vibrant colors. The TV also has a motion rate of 240, which means there is minimal motion blur, even during fast-paced action scenes.

The design of the TV is sleek, with a thin bezel and slim profile that will easily blend in with any room decor. It also comes with a variety of connectivity options, including four HDMI ports and three USB ports, making it easy to connect multiple devices.

One of the standout features of this TV is its Smart TV capabilities. It comes with the Samsung Smart Hub, which allows users to access a variety of streaming apps, including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. The TV also has built-in Wi-Fi, so you can easily connect to the internet and stream your favorite shows and movies.

Another feature that users appreciate is the included voice control remote. With this remote, you can easily search for content, change the channel, and adjust the volume without ever having to lift a finger.

Overall, the Samsung 55-inch TV is a great option for anyone looking for a high-quality, large-screen TV with plenty of connectivity options and Smart TV capabilities.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe legs have 2 positions for height adjustment. One of mine didn’t work due to the plastic moulding. I rectified this with a piece of cardboard so the TV is raised up. The TV needs a lot of setting up with passwords etc. I eventually got there. I told myself the picture was very slightly better than the LG it replaced-but you do don’t you. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Great value for money. I haven’t commented on sound as I use a sound bar with sub woofer-I think everyone should if they want decent sound .

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThis is a really nice looking TV with an incredible picture. It’s very slim and elegant and looks much more expensive than it actually is. The build quality is really good as you would expect from a Samsung TV. I especially like the solar remote control! – why don’t all TVs have this??!

The only thing that lets this TV down is the smart hub. There are a really good selection of apps – everything you could want in fact but they are not 100% reliable. IPlayer for example sometimes has to be selected a few times before it loads (but majority of time is fine). There are also hundreds of channels on Samsung TV, none of which we would actually watch! The kids keep putting on the cartoon ones which are stuffed with ads which is a shame as we usually don’t let them watch TV with ads.

These issues aside – a beautiful TV with amazing picture and really good value.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersThe picture is brilliant which is the main thing. Sound is mediocre but then again it always is from built in speakers so get a sound bar as well. The menu structure for the smart features is OK, nothing brilliant but useable BUT, the remote control (the solar powered one, the TV comes with 2 remotes) is just a ridiculous add on invented by someone that has clearly never actually owned a TV. Breath too hard near it and it will mute, change channels, change inputs or a multitude of other things that you don’t want it to do and the buttons on it just don’t make any logical sense, trying to get back to where you were once this ridiculous device has decided that it wants to watch something else is not easy either, it is the worse remote control I have ever used. Buy the TV & throw the remote as far away as you possible can.

I picked up the 65inch, setting it up was really easy and the settings are very dynamic and simple with a great choice of options.

Smart hub/apps work great can link all my accounts, phone and gaming console easily.

I did notice a bit of over sharpness and then a little blurryness at times when watching Netflix but adjusted the video settings accordingly as you will experience this with any large TV.

The colouring, sound, HD are all great and crystal clear.

The sound some people in a loud house or older people may find it a bit quiet at times however the tv is ultra thin and should be used with a sound bar, this for me didn’t detract how well the sound picks up everything; I was impressed by minor details when gaming.

Is this TV worth the money?
For me, absolutely especially for someone that games and uses a lot of Apps. I watch a lot of Netflix etc so I upgrade to Netflix HD, if you can afford it, I found a difference in viewing.

I could of gone with a cheaper TV which advertised similar quality but Samsung is reliable, you know what you’re getting.
